The fatty salmon nigiri tastes divine. We also had their ramen and pork katsu. Everything was served promptly and fresh. My major contention with this experience is that our waiter, Zoe was inattentive and unprofessional. Our dessert arrived 5 minutes after receiving our dinner. I asked her if they could make our dessert fresh and her response was, how long will it take you to eat? To which I responded I don't know. It was an odd experience because most waiters are attentive enough to know when a table is ready for dessert or they simply ask. As I expected, by the time we received the fried ice cream, the plate looked sloppy and the ice cream on the inside was melted. It clearly was the same plate. Finally, while I was packing my dinner she seemed to recall she never brought me chili paste I had asked for during dinner. No apology or anything. Overall, it was a disappointing experience from a waiter who should be retrained.

Not just fruit flys also a big fly consistently trying to sit on my food.

I go to Kusshi all the time, but this location has been the worst one I've been to. I told the waiter there was a fly bothering me, and he didn't do anything about it. I had the worst experience here because of the flies near the window. I will never come back to this location again. It wasn't just a group of fruit flies--there was also a big fly that kept trying to land on my food. They need to put up blue light fly traps or do something to address this fly problem.

Ordered this for dinner and highly recommend--the ramen was delicious and VERY full. I was surprised the amount of broth and additions included. The sushi tasted good, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Baltimore roll--too much Old Bay-- but the lava roll was DELICIOUS. I ordered delivery, so next time I'd love to go in-person as I'm sure the food would taste better freshly done as it arrived lukewarm.

I do takeout from here. I do it pretty regularly because their sushi is excellent. I typically get lunch from here & it's always extremely fresh. Today I had their tempura rolls, avocado rolls, California rolls & seaweed salad. Even my picky toddler eats it all up, so that says a lot about the quality of their sushi.

Good sushi place for lunch near the hotel. We go here often when we come to DC. Restaurant is spacious, can accommodate large groups. They also serve ramen.

I went with my best friend for dinner last night. They were pretty busy and nearly packed by the time we got there. We ordered 3 different types of sushi and I had a strawberry Japanese soda while she had a sprite. It was delicious. This was my second time getting food from here. But the first time I got my food to go. I will definitely be back in the future.

No parking around(Or I should say extremely hard to find parking). So not friendly for who drive just for dine in. Sushi(Nigiri) is fresh and is exactly what I expected. The size of nigiri and the taste like Omakase sushi, but only take half price of other omakase restaurants, so I'm really satisfied with this part. I love Seared Salmon the best, and then the Fatty Salmon, Medium Fatty Tuna. The Mackerel nigiri really surprised me, it's fresh and little fatty, only little sour, which I really love it!! Total $98 includes tax for 2 people but my husband says it's small portion for him and it's not enough. This is just a reference for everyone else. Overall, this is valuable and recommendable. Uber Eats might have some discounts so you can order in Uber Eats and pick it up.

I love this place. I've been a frequent customer of both the Rockville and DTSS locations for a few years now. The fatty salmon is always divine and my go to is the lava roll with a few subs bc I'm allergic to crab. I honestly just came here to give your standout server Kyle a nod. Out of the two locations, Kyle is always provides exceptional service. Attentive, welcoming and kind.

Nice location with friendly service. I tried just one roll, so I cannot give a comprehensive review. I sat outside and thought the music was turned up too loud there. It's probably to attract customers?

I work in downtown Silver Spring and I was craving sushi for lunch today. I did a search on Yelp and saw that this place was nearby. I ordered a lava roll. I went in. It was kind of empty, probably because of the rain, but when I tell you, this is one of the best sushi rolls that I've had in a long time, very fresh and packed with flavor. My order was ready when I arrived just like it said it would be. The restaurant itself is very nice and quaint. Every time I crave sushi while I'm at work, I'm definitely coming here. This lava roll is PERFECT!!

Very great food and the sushi tasted very fresh! The service was pretty good and the ambiance was very chill and not too crowded.

In town for a work trip and I came looking for some chicken katsu curry! Found this place while looking on google, and came before I went to a concert. It was a cute little place with seating for small to large gatherings as well as a bar area if people would like to sit alone or prefer that type of dining experience. Service was good, the young lady at the front desk helped me out as it was my first time there, and was very friendly and sweet, as well as very on top of making sure I was okay. I did eat the chicken katsu curry and it was delicious!! Large portion and very delicious. Being a spicy person, I'd only love if it had more spice to it but that's okay! The potatoes and carrots in the curry were delicious, chicken breaded and seasoned nicely, and the rice is delicious as is. I'll have to come back before I leave!

This place has a pretty good happy hour deal in silver spring but it does end early so more convenient who work in dtss or work from home and live in the area as well. The sushi is consistently good! The service is quick and it has a casual ambiance.

The restaurant describes their dishes as "Sapporo Style," meaning that they could suffice as a main dish and are cooked in a wok, seasoned with roasted garlic and onion. My companion liked his vegan tan tan ramen. I got the classic menri dashi shoyu ramen. Hard to say what the star ingredient was, both the broth and noodles were excellent. The noodles were hand made and had a great texture and chew. The broth was rich with a depth of dashi chicken and kombu. Taste was clean. Tender thinly sliced chashu, seaweed and greens rounded out the bowl.

I appreciate the consistency and dedication of each and every staff member here. The menu is not vast, but they serve one of the best ramen in the east coast in my opinion. It has grown in popularity over the years and it is quite hard to come here unless I have a dedicated day off from work. I came for their tsukemen Tuesday at 10:45 am and there was already a line of about 40-50 people ahead of me. They have a waitlist system by first come first serve basis and will contact you via message or yelp when it is your turn. Although my favorite is the classic and spicy tonkotsu ramen, the tsukemen had a different twist and rich flavor profile. My only preference would be to have the broth warmer. Their chicken karaage (served during dinner only) is very tender and is the perfect appetizer for a meal. When I come for dinner, I make sure to get extra menma, chashu, and extra noodles. There is enough seating for around 30 guests max. The biggest tables seat 4 people max. The bar area has a nice view of the kitchen and offers a personal dining experience. I recommend coming early 20 mins before they open. There is paid and free street parking nearby.

Me and one friend and we were waiting for the third but they would not seat us so we were just standing in a tiny hall. The hostess even asked us if we were ok, as though she didn't know she was making us wait for a table until our other friend arrived. And when the other friend arrived then they sat us all down. Unfortunately it became closer to their closing time and then they started to rush us keeping the floors and making it painfully obvious that they wanted us to get out. I think the combination would have been avoided had they just sat us down in the first place so we could have at least ordered the chicken to start with. Anyway it was close to the next place we were going to so it was more out of convenience. I'm not sure I would try this place again.
