    Suimono soup and house salad

I went for the hibachi option, I don't remember the name of my drink, but it gave exactly what it was supposed to. I really enjoyed the chef's sense of humor and cooking. The appetizer soup didn't really have any flavor. I really liked the dressing that they put on the house salad, it was very refreshing. I really enjoyed the fried rice and noodles, they had a very nice smoky garlicky flavor. I felt like the overall portion was less than I would've expected compared to other hibachi spots.

The place was huge and spacious. Very nice aesthetic. We have our server Maya who helped us throughout the process since it was our very first time eating there. She was an amazing server. Very friendly and very accommodating. She was very patient with all our requests and we received such great customer service. We were shown how to order through the qr code. Everything came quickly but some rolls came a bit later because it takes longer to make them. We also had one server who helped us serve our food and such. We had a wonderful time since we were celebrating 3 birthdays they gave them 3 wonderful ice cream with happy birthday on it. It was very special and the ladies sang to them. It was such a wonderful experience. We would surely go back because this was such a wonderful time. And i loved their Flaming tuna with chips it was so great i ordered 3 times! I loved everything!

This is a pretty decent Japanese restaurant offers all-you-can-eat menu including sushi, sashimi, hibachi items, dim sum items, noodles and rice. They also have hibachi menu with chef cooking in front of you. However, for some reason, when we are there our table is a bit sticky. Other than that, the food is as expected, the wide-range of food selection is very good.

I highly recommend AYCE!! sushi was amazing! You can order through your phone, which is also a great idea because you don't have to wait for your server. Food was coming out fast and drinks were strong. Inside was cute. It's divided into two sides, which is nice. Hibachi on one side and then tables on the other side for all you can eat. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves sushi. They didn't have pork buns or the soup dumplings.

This is a huge restaurant! Half is for hibachi and half regular restaurant. It was uncomfortably warm to the point I asked the waitress and she said the air conditioning had not been working well. We had the all you can eat sushi and Japanese appetizers. You order from an app on your phone. You cannot over order or they will charge you - 1$ per piece of sushi or 15$ per pound for take out box. Food: Excellent / favorites - handmaid shrimp Shumai (steamed) very good, Kani Rangoon, sex on the beach sushi roll, kiss of fire sushi roll, tuna amazing roll, yellow tail appetizer Good - ponzu oyster, fried gyoza, seaweed salad, flaming tuna chips, fried shrimp shumai, mochi, spicy tuna roll, yellow tail scallion roll Wouldn't get again - fried oyster, pork soup dumplings (very bland), kalbi beef rib (dry) There was a lot more we didn't try. I would definitely come back and try other things! Value was awesome for AYCE for 33$

Came here on a whim for lunch and it was great! They offer hibachi as well as all-you-can-eat sushi which is very cool. We didn't have enough time for AYCE so we just ordered a couple rolls to split. It seemed like they only had 1 server for the whole section so getting her attention was rather difficult but I don't blame her. The sushi was delicious and I would definitely come back!

Excellent happy hour!! A group of us choose an assortment of maki and specialty rolls along with other appetizers for an early dinner. We loved the salmon roll, shrimp tempura roll and the angry dragon roll. Service was great, parking was easy. We will come back!!

Food: the AYCE was spectacular. I have my favorite AYCE sushi lunch, but here it's for dinner too. I went with friends but was so impressed, I plan on taking my family here too. Service: super fast, you order through an iPad and the food comes out within minutes. I will say, do not over order because they charge I think $15 per pound for food that is not eaten. Ambiance: so cute, a lot of people were here on dates.

I absolutely loved the all you can eat ordering system. Even though they only had two waitstaff for the whole restaurant, it worked relatively well. We had two tables of 6, so there were times when are AYCe order was mixed up but no harm no foul. I loved that ramune and yogurt drink were included. The selection included much more than sushi to include soup dumplings (they stuck to the paper so it would break everytime) and dim sum. They also validated parking so would definitely be back.

Kabuto is our family's favorite go-to spots for hibachi --whether we're celebrating something special or just coming because we feel like it. The experience is always fun, high-energy, and engaging, and the chefs do an amazing job keeping everyone entertained and full. My daughter absolutely loves it, which makes the experience even more special for our family. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff makes you feel welcome every time. Kabuto never disappoints and has become a place we truly look forward to visiting. Chef J is our favorite!

Even without a reservation, I was seated immediately, which was a great first impression. The service was excellent. Our server mentioned it was her first day, but you would never have guessed as she was attentive, warm, and handled everything beautifully. The food truly stood out. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The hibachi experience was just as enjoyable. We ordered a party boat that was about $81 which is more than reasonable. Finished almost all of it. I also had my 2 piece roe selection since that's my personal favorite. Service was nice. My cook name was Raz and he was pretty good. He was quick, very polite accommodating and professional. I was surprised they didn't make us wait for a whole table to fill up like most hibachi's do. The food was really good and the drinks were ok. Only issue was the drinks took a long time to be prepared which I didn't understand because there were only a handful of full of people there and they were wrapping it up when I arrived. This was overall a great dining experience and I'm sure I'll return for another experience.

While visiting Alexandria, we decided to grab dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. After a quick Google…read moresearch, we landed on Sake Japanese Steakhouse. Now I'll be honest--when we first pulled up, it looked a little sketch. But the reviews were solid (4+ stars), so we said why not--and went for it. I had a party of 11, and we were seated within minutes, which was a huge plus! The place wasn't too crowded, a bit on the smaller side, and didn't have all the usual flair and flames you might expect from a Japanese steakhouse--but hey, we were already in, so let's go! The staff was friendly overall. Our waiter Genard really tried to keep up with our large group. He missed a few things here and there, but nothing major--overall, he did a decent job. Let's get into the food... The salad came out nice and cold, but that ginger dressing? Whew... not for me. It tasted really heavy on the mayo and overpowered the ginger flavor. I sent it back and got the ginger dipping sauce instead--and that actually worked much better! The soup was hot and fresh like it should be. It had mushrooms (not my thing), so I just pushed those to the side. Now the main event--the food was GOOD! I actually loved that they added vegetables like peas and carrots into the rice--nice little touch you don't always see. The shrimp was tender, the chicken was delicious, and I really appreciated how finely chopped it was instead of big chunks--it made it more tender and soaked up that teriyaki flavor perfectly. The vegetables were cooked just how I like them--crisp broccoli, carrots, onions... flavorful and not overcooked at all. And let's not forget the plum wine--nice, cold, sweet, and exactly what I needed after a long day running around with kids for spring break. It definitely hit the spot! And the BEST part? The pricing! Very reasonable--especially compared to Japanese Hibachi in other cities! $30 for a combo is ALWAYS a win! Overall, we had a really good time. Most of the group enjoyed their food--maybe one or two minor complaints, but nothing major. I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. If you're in Alexandria, it's worth checking out!

However, in the years since the pandemic, I can't help but feel like the quality of the food's gone down. I'm not sure if the recipe's changed or if they're using different ingredients - but it's just not that good anymore. I recently got the chicken hibachi for their lunch special and immediately, one of the things I first noticed was just how rubbery the chicken pieces were. They also tasted off and not even the yum yum sauce (which I'm pretty sure is different from the one they used to have) could save the taste. They also have a different mushroom soup now that has a lot more spice in it and the taste doesn't match with how it used to be. That being said, I will say that my wife has always enjoyed their sushi here and has never had a complaint on that. Also - the staff here have always been super kind and attentive. We've never had a single issue with the folks that work here. I can't speak of the atmosphere or state of the restaurant since I haven't dined here since 2013. Osaka's is also another staple of Culpeper and frankly - tastes better than Dragon Chef in my opinion. I just wish my recent experiences were as good as my old ones. If nothing else, the staff here are amazing and their sushi is worth coming back here for again and again. Best pricing for their lunch specials!

Overall, food was great, and drinks were decent. The Koji cocktail was refreshing and the prosecco was crisp. However, If you're looking for a true espresso martini, don't bother ordering here as they only use pre-packaged espresso pods, not a proper espresso machine to brew it fresh. Had the HH salmon skewer and spicy edamame to start, and the yellowtail carpaccio and a combo wagyu/shrimp fried rice as my mains. The wagyu and shrimp were delightful, but the rice itself was a little bland; needed to eat it with spicy mayo to get decent flavor.
