Ro sushi was great. Sushi was high quality. Waiter was very attentive. Good vibes. I would recommend this restaurant. We had specialty toro rolls and pork gyoza dumplings with dipping sauce. Daybreak with torched salmon and yellowtail belly, Prime Cut stacked with tuna belly and roe, and Smokey Flame with shrimp tempura and smoked salmon.

I ordered takeout from here. The yellowtail and salmon avocado roll. The yellowtail is some of the best I've ever had. It was really delicious. The avocado to salmon ratio was a little off for me. It's a cute spot. I haven't sat down to eat there yet.

Located in Chevy Chase, MD this quaint restaurant showcases a massive menu that features Japanese staples such as chicken buns and two bite dumplings. I shared the Omakase To The Table Nigiri Platter which was a selection of some of the chef's favorite sushi rolls. Every bite was beautifully draped with the freshest slices of fish and veggies. My favorite bite of the night was the Harmony Roll that was packed with marinated shiitake mushrooms.

March 2019: I had a date with this woman I briefly dated who lived in Arlington. It was her first time seeing me on my home tuff, Maryland. Funny her name was the same as my ex-g/f of a year earlier. See my McGinty's Irish Pub review in downtown Silver Spring I just wrote where I reference that ex. My friend called my ex her name #1 & this woman as her name #2. I picked this nice sushi restaurant on this very cold March night. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and on a strange one-way on the back side of Georgia Ave. But in spite of those minor negatives, wow this place was impressive. This is possibly the 2nd best sushi I've ever had. Service was cordial. August 2019: I remembered that Moby Dick was great that I took my relatively new girlfriend at that time. She was impressed with them too. February 2020: On Tuesday, February 25, 2020, my girlfriend took the Metro to DC for work. I dropped her off at the Metro, and after I dropped her off, I realized she left her phone in my car. I tried to turn around to see if she was still there, but she wasn't. So, I took her phone with me to my office. I had both phones with me. I think I let some friends of ours know what was going on. Ultimately, on the evening commute, someone on the Metro was nice to let her borrow his phone. I met up with her. We had a movie too and weren't able to coordinate timing. So, we didn't have time for dinner and went straight to movie. We got popcorn to hold us over; I think it was my birthday popcorn I get from AMC. After the movie, we ate a late dinner at Moby Dick. I knew she had a rough day and was stressful for me too that I wanted to treat her & myself to sushi we knew was good. Once again, Moby Dick didn't disappoint.

Even without a reservation, I was seated immediately, which was a great first impression. The service was excellent. Our server mentioned it was her first day, but you would never have guessed as she was attentive, warm, and handled everything beautifully. The food truly stood out. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The hibachi experience was just as enjoyable. The chef was entertaining, skilled, and added a fun, engaging touch to the meal. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and has a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your time. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great sushi or hibachi experience.

I think that the customer service was excellent and the chef had charisma, personality, and should do stand up, he was a pleasure and a joy such a guy with rizz. My issue was the food itself as the rice was amazing but did not age well being taken back home for take out, and the chicken and salmon were not as flavorful as a homemade version I would had cooked so there was the blandness. I ended up having digestive issues and got sick for a day or two after eating from here which was disappointing, because the vibe is awesome in this spot and the positive energy is contagious. I felt so relaxed and joyous here. I think the food can be cooked better even though they are generous with excellent portion sizes. I think it is a strong contender for one of the best restaurants in the region if they step the food preparation up. I also did not like this sauce they provided, but it does have better customer service than the typical DMV spots which tend to struggle with the customer service, so they get an A with that making you feel welcomed and respected and not strictly transactional experience, very warm, nice, attentive, diligent, and hard working staff, so they have the bones here, so once they step up the actual food prep and quality then they will be 4 to 5 stars easily. That is all I got!

We were walk-ins, and didn't know that there was already a queue for the sushi - we were quoted about 45 minutes, which we thought was a bit extreme, but since we were in the area, we decided to wait. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering rolls, sashimi, vegetarian options, and combos. We ordered: +the Sushi Deluxe - this came with tuna, yellowtail, salmon, flounder, omelet, squid, shrimp, eel, clam, and shad roe in nigiri form; there were also 6 pieces of California roll +a Sashimi Deluxe - 3 pieces of tuna, yellowtail, flounder, and salmon, and 2 pieces of octopus and purple clam Sushi could have been more fresh; some of the fish had an odor to it, and the octopus, especially, was way too fishy in both odor and taste. The sushi rice was a little too loose and kept breaking apart; we felt that there could have been more quality control in preparing these, especially with the long wait time and the high price points. The mart is super small and kind of tight, but I was surprised at the selection and some produce that they had available. Staff were friendly. Metered street and garage parking available in the area. +not-so-fresh sushi +call-aheads are encouraged +friendly service +metered street and garage parking available

I didn't find any krab or even the taste of it, but good none the less. I shared another appetizer, inuri ( not sure if spelling), tofu fried in a wrapper and covered in a delicious sweet sauce. I'm not a tofu person, but this dish could change that! DH ordered hot and sour soup and drunken noodles. Not a fan of hot and sour soup but I liked this one! So did DH. He loved his drunken noodles with pork. It had a hint of curry and was a little spicy. He ordered a sweet tea and said it was really, really sweet. Diner #2 ordered miso soup and teriyaki chicken. She loved the soup and I got to taste her chicken. It came kind of fajita style on a sizzling platter with red and green peppers, broccoli and a little bit of onion with a generous portion of chicken breast sliced on top with a good sauce and sesame seeds. It was accompanied by white rice. Large enough portion that she has lunch for tomorrow! Diner #3 ordered an eel roll and a few pieces of fat salmon sashimi. She said it was all good. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. Several large shrimp were delicious and the noodles were very good. I ordered it as mild as possible and there was not a hint of 'hot' spice although it was physically really hot, which I love. I think next time I'd ask for a little heat in it. As I'm writing this I realize I could have asked for some chili oil or something to spice it but I enjoyed it very much. The server was terrific and a few people made sure our drinks were refilled. I definitely am looking forward to my next visit here. There are lots of things I want to try!
