Unfourantely we hired them. First box with broken items I was like mehh, it's bond to happen... but box after box and then finally the box that had fragile be careful on all sides broken . :( They were so nice and we THOUGHT they did such an amazing job. They didn't. We had 2 pods, my husband and I packed the first ourselves. All fragile and items were fine other than moving during transit. The second pod, the team TRIED they're best to fit everything in. Plastic wrap ran out l, tape ran out. Why? Because things like couches were super wrapped. Our expensive wood furniture. Chipped scratched. They tried to make everything fit for us that they ended up not READING!!! Everything everything that was made out of glass was broken. Expect 5 items. 10 of my tiki mug collection broken. Glasses, vases, plates broken I really appreciate the effort and the speed but for what, to throw away everything and be really sad when I unpack. Good price Don't hire them if you have fragile items you like. It sucks, there's people that like shoes, there's people that collect pins, I like tiki mugs. There is no 4.5 stars, otherwise that would be my rating. The only reason I took off half a star is because they were late. However, they did call which I respect and luckily I was not in a rush that day. The reason I went with this company is because I didn't need any assistance for more than 2 hours. Most places have a 3hour minimum. My husband needed some more muscle power to assist with getting some very heavy antiques out of our POD and into our new home. We didn't need any wrapping or packing, so this review is based just off of our personal need and situation. I believe we had Taye and Jeremiah? (I'm sorry, I'm bad with names and it's been a few weeks). They both were polite, and speedy but still handled our furniture with care. When they got to our big armoire, I was incredibly nervous as there was very little room to lift it up and over the stair railing and angle the pieces, so that the furniture wouldn't get scratched or completely dent our walls. Phew, they made it! I can live with a minor scratch on the wall as that was inevitable considering the weight and the dimensions they had to work with. That was some serious muscle power. My husband and I are grateful, all antiques not only survived the drive from the Bay Area to SD, but also moving up the stairs to their new location. Taye and Jeremiah, were able to unload fast and assisted in some furniture assembly with the extra time that was left as I'm pregnant and can only do so much. Thank you! read more

DO NOT USE! These guys are crooks and stole from their customer! The only reason for 1 star is because Yelp will not allow for negative stars. I used Hire-a-Helper who contracted these guys to come load her POD so that she could move across country. I had a jewelry box all wrapped up and ready to be loaded, they put it on a dolly, wheeled it out of the old house while she was still packing other things and it has not been seen since. The POD arrived and the jewelry box was nowhere to be found. And there were no signs the POD had been tampered with when it arrived at its final destination. read more

If I could give this company negative stars I would. They were absolutely HORRIBLE. They made an already extremely stressful moving situation SO much worse. THEY PACKED MY PURSE in the back of a storage pod!!! So I have had no ID, no medical cards, NOTHING while in transition between homes. They also just dumped shelves of books and other items into boxes without actually wrapping them. I was supposed to have two to three movers to help me over three days and instead they showed up with like 20 men and completely overwhelmed the situation. It was MISERABLE There are so many missing items from the stack of things that I told them not to pack. I found this service on Thumbtack and chose them because they were the most active in messaging on the app and had the lowest rate ($150 truck fee + $100/hr for 2 hrs minimum). I hired 2 movers for a short-distance move (less than 50 miles). I had everything packed ready to go in boxes and all furniture disassembled before they arrived. They worked so fast and efficiently -- everything was loaded and unloaded in 2.5 hrs! I was really impressed with their speed, just nonstop picking up and loading boxes. They were also super easy to communicate with. They arrived an hour later than planned but this is pretty common among moving services. I would definitely recommend this group!! read more

By the time I arrived to my new home, they were already there and I had 2 sheriff cars in the driveway due to their unprofessional mannerisms smoking weed and playing loud music and loud talk. They also do not have insurance to cover property damages. They left trash behind and left my furniture in pieces and didn't reassemble them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! This is the 2nd time I have used these movers. The 1st time without covid restrictions necessary. And they did a fantastic job. They are very careful with all of your furniture items. They are very prompt, And accommodating to your needs. Recently I use them again because they did such a great job the 1st time, and now we were under covid restrictions. They met all of the necessary safety precautions. Everybody wore masks and they put booties over their shoes and they had gloves to protect everybody around them. This crew came in and worked so hard to fill the pod I had and stacked it so well I was able to fit more than I thought. Beware. The first guy to show said it was his second day- he kept checking his phone the whole time he was there. Two of them said this was just a side job. None of them wore a mask, or asked if we wanted them to. These guys did not seem to have any skills- they didn't want to use the hand truck and they rushed the whole time instead of being careful, clearing a path first, or putting things in the house- they left everything I didn't notice in the garage for me to move later... sigh... The two hour minimum was more than enough time so when they finished they wanted to leave- but I asked them to move some things around and put the shelves back in the bookcases, they did- but you could tell they were annoyed. The one guy who seemed in charge was trying to teach the new guy not to scrape my floors with the furniture- but he later decided not to use a hand truck to move my cabinet- he used his foot to clear a path and the cabinet slipped and broke it two! Another guy showed up- I thought the manager to discuss the cabinet- but instead they all stood around with him discussing their pay- and swearing- then he left. The head guy left before they were done and when I called to talk to the manager about the cabinet no one answered... At the end I paid them and gave them a $10 tip because it wasn't worth the hassle- I had $30 each for the tip- but they broke my $400 cabinet! I try to give accurate reviews- not just one or five stars- but this company earned a one- if I hadn't needed them last minute I know of much better companies. All I needed was to move a big heavy dresser from one apartment building to another. Both buildings have elevators and are 2 miles apart. We hired them recently to help us move out of our 2 bed, 1 bath apartment that we have been living in for 4 years. Heat was well into the 110's, and even though our POD was delayed, they helped my husband move all of our belongings into a UHAUL so that he could put them into the POD once it arrived. The guys that came to help had wonderful personalities, were extremely professional, and worked quickly while keeping our belongings safe (as well as not pushing themselves too hard in the heat, please remember to give movers water/something hydrating!!) 10/10 highly recommend. read more

I was having new carpet installed in my condominium, and I used Kush Movers to move my Yamaha grand piano outside as well as a large headboard wall unit which has mirrors, since Home Depot's installers will not move anything with glass. The three movers from Kush Movers actually arrived early and knew how to disassemble the wall unit and correctly move a valuable piano. They returned a few hours later after the carpet installation people had finished and moved the wall unit and piano back into my house. These were not easy items to move, but they were highly competent and really knew what they were doing. They knew how to correctly reassemble the wall unit so that it was stable, and my piano is in perfect shape reassembled in my living room and still very much in tune. I also found the three movers to be very personable while also conscientious about their work. read more

I had an exceptional experience with KM Relocation Group. I had a queen size sofa sleeper on the second floor that I needed moved to my other residence in Arizona. Ken and Sean took great care to wrap and protect the couch load it up and drove it 5 hours to AZ. They went above and beyond, as it was a challenge getting the couch down from upstairs and when in AZ, they had to remove the door from the frame in order to get it in the spare bedroom, due to the size of the couch. From the time they walked in the door I showed them what was to go and the location of those items. Additionally, I had started packing the POD. These people are HORRIFIC! They were scheduled to arrive today between 11 and 12 and never showed up! One dude (who was not one of the 3 scheduled for my move) randomly showed up by himself at 115 because he finished another move nearby. At that point I had already moved most of my stuff myself!!!! Darryl was very helpful for the 30 minutes he was there but being left to move my own stuff when I hired movers for a reason is unacceptable!! LIFE SAVERS!!! My husband broke his foot at 9pm the night before we needed to be out of our townhome. It was going to be me and only me carrying everything down 1-2 flights of stairs and loading into the rental van. There was no way it was going to happen by the time we needed to be out. I got up early the next morning and looked up last minute movers. It was raining so I figured the chances of anyone being available to be slim to none but I found Kush Movers. After getting a fair quote I let him know that even though I found it to be a fair price I just couldn't afford it. He adjusted his pricing to match my budget.
