Ooooooh! Where has this place been all my life? The meats were cooked to perfection. Our standout dishes were the grilled lamb leg and garlic eggplant. The flavor profile across the dishes we ordered was mild and subtly seasoned, which I personally really appreciated. Also loved that it's halal and uses no MSG. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again!

4.5/5 stars! Such a unique cuisine you can't really find in the bay, and so glad I got to try! Central Asian cuisine with influences of Greek and Persian. Big Plate Chicken 9.5/10 Omg this portion was way bigger than I expected! Comes with chicken cooked similar to Chinese style, and it's so juicy and tender. It also comes with flat noodles at the bottom, and this was so good when soaking up all the chicken sauce. Plate looks small online but don't get that twisted it's a good plate to share with 2/3 people! Golden Crispy Roasted Lamb Rib 10/10 ya this was sooo delicious, we got some naan on the side to make a perfect bite with the lamb + sauce and omg that was so delectable. Their house chili oil was crispy and spicy, really paired well with their lamb Passion Fruit Yogurt Beverage 8/10 this was a good contrast to the richer foods we were eating, you could taste that punch of passion fruit and the yogurt was a bit sour and tangy like Vietnamese yogurt Overall, portions were good for the price and the cuisine was super unique as I've never had Uyghur fusion food! If you want to be adventurous and try different foods, definitely come check this restaurant out!

I really enjoyed my meal here. All the meats were so tender and delicious, with a lot of flavor. My favorite was a lamb tripe noodle dish - I don't think Ive ever had lamb tripe before this meal! The portions are not gigantic, but also not small. I left feeling satisfied but not super full.

Fantastic spot for authentic cuisine. Love the flavors and spices! When they say Big Plate Chicken, they mean it, and it is so good. The lamb skewers are legit too! Very quiet and serene spot for a dinner, nice and quiet. Service also very attentive! Absolutely making this a staple for my meal rotation!

minimal vibes inside kinda interesting I think we were only one of two tables during a weekday lunch lamb noodle soup - 7/10 not too lamb-y, surprisingly - very excessive onions tho imo beef & rice - 9/10 was v surprised at whatever the heck the rice was - kinda sweet bc it had raisins and apricots but it worked really well?? beef was soft but a little on the fatty side for me

I was excited to try this place, especially having great experience with Uyghur food previously. Was over in San Jose years ago and had Kusan Uyghur cuisine and i think there was a ghost kitchen version in SF during the pandemic. Had good experiences from those two spots, food was delicious and great portions to share. There are similarities between Uyghur and Middle Eastern cuisines, such as pita, pilaf, meats like lamb and chicken. Main difference is that i find uyghur food with more cumin seasoning, similar to the tastes of those northern chinese skewers places. However I didnt find much of the foods here flavored. I find myself eating for the sake of not wasting the ingredients. We had people in the group who can't do spicy, so had to order dishes that were non spiced. Holy hell, non spiced was equivalent to non seasoned. If your kidney had issues, you can eat here though. I should've known something was odd when the plaza is packed on a weekend but this place had no wait, maybe with 2-3 other tables occupied. I thought people were just scared to try the cuisine. Im beginning to think otherwise. Despite the food being subpar, the service was super attentive, felt more like a legit sit down, thats refreshing considered being at Milpitas Square.

Delicioso all around! Really enjoyed the cumin lamb noodles which was spicy and sweet (fav flavor combo ;) and the beef ribs because they were so tender/fall off the bone and that white yogurt sauce was delicious. Also got the samsa since it seems everyone gets it, and for good reason. Perfectly crispy, juicy, and tasty :))

Everything was incredibly moist and flavorful. The big plate had a nice kick--spicy enough to be interesting, but not so much that it made me tear up. The pilaf was my favorite part, and I'll definitely keep coming back just for that. The samosa meat was also very moist and well-seasoned. The vibe is busy, but still quiet enough that I could comfortably hear the people around me without having to raise my voice. And the yogurt drink? Sooooo good--perfectly balanced and really tied the whole meal together.

Big Plate Chicken with Flat Noodle

Good restaurant. Pretty clean. Very spic for most. Like a jalapeno worth of spice. I wish they took the bone out of the big plate chicken. Or have chicken with bigger bones. Good flavors on the noodles and rice. The braised beef is fairly flavorless. It kind of tasted like pho meat, which isn't what I was going for. The spices on the table are honestly less spicy than the food itself. Service is bleh. Could be better. Kind of have to flag people down.

The ambiance in here is very nice and chilled, perfect for a relaxed dinner time. We ordered the chicken wraps and chicken plate. The chicken plate we ordered was really good. It had a nice level of spice, I loved the potatoes that soaked up the broth! They give you a lot of chicken and the noodles are freshly made.

I'm so exited to discover this Uyghur restaurant! Everything tasted great and our waiter Noe was super friendly and helpful. If you love XinJiang food this is a must try. We ordered Crispy Golden lamb: Juicy and flavorful, pairs well with the dry seasoning Samsa (baked buns): These are the highlight of the meal in my opinion, the meat was super juicy, and even the wrappers have a lot of flavors in them 6-hr braised lamb shank pilaf: The rice has sweet potatoes it it, love it! Lamb wraps: very tasty, the meat was soft, even the veggies had an umami flavor. Highly recommended Uyghur special milk tea: salty, sweet and cream, must try! Mango yogurt sticky rice: decent

My first time trying this place and it was delicious! My friend and I shared a salad and the lamb shank. The salad was refreshing. The fried rice was so good and the lamb was so tender! We loved everything. I would definitely come back when I am in town to try another dish!

Chicken Kebab (2 Skewers)
Arvind S.

The big plate chicken was REALLY good and the regular (smaller) portion was extremely filling. Great portions of both the chicken and the noodles, so I don't think you need the extra noodles. But I had this dish on my own, maybe if you're ordering it to share you could add the extra noodles. The chicken is really well cooked! It does take some time to come out (we had to wait around 20 minutes). We had also ordered the chicken skewer to share and it was nicely spiced (cumin based spice, as you see in Chinese bbq generally). One thing I'd say is that the dishes were quite oily, including the sliced beef with sauce as you see in the pictures. The big plate chicken also had a lot of oil in the soup. In hindsight, I'd probably mention less oil before ordering next time.

Big Plate Chicken tastes great! And lamb shank is juicy!

It's just too busy. While it is unique and a fun try, it's not for me. The service we experienced on a Saturday for lunch was very poor. We got 3/4 of our entrees, and we continued to wait for the last one. I had to physically get up and catch someone from the counter, as they avoided my table since they thought they were done serving us. It was after waiting for 20 minutes, btw, and when I asked about our last entree, I was told "oh sorry we lost the ticket"... That really left a foul taste for me.... MEH. I don't feel inclined to come back personally, but I can see the novelty. It's cute inside and it's fusion-y and fun. I get it.

Always a line, to cut corners, I tried DoorDash. But even when the order was placed in at 11:30,…read morewe waited till 1pm to get our food. So be warned! The food came nicely packaged! The drink sealed in tape and placed in a nice paper bag, the food was in a plastic bowl and the whole order was placed inside a plastic bag. We placed a group order but each of our order was clearly labeled with our name and items typed on tickets. We don't have to find our items from a massive amount of food like other vendors, which I'm happy with the convenience. I ordered a French Lemon Latte, it's ok. When I got the order, the brown coffee was floating at the top and the bottom was cream white. But once I poked the straw in, the white cream floats up and the drink looks murky. There's one piece of lemon at the bottom of the cup, so not very strong lemon flavor. Onto the food, the Ultimate Cheesy Tamago Bowl with Eel & Beef that I ordered was very good. Each element is neatly layered on top of each other, the take out did not mess it up. At the bottom is the white rice, then on top of the rice there are the sliced beef with sliced onions soaking in the teriyaki sauce. The second to top layer is a brick of Japanese style tomago egg and a thin layer of cheese. Lastly, there's a piece of teriyaki eel on the very top sealing off the bowl. The portion was sumptuous, and the teriyaki sauce carries the dish through. On the menu there are many other interesting items that I want to try, perhaps next time I can try their pineapple bun sandwich or the baked rice.

We ordered riceroll , stir fry on choy with fremented shrimp, Hong Kong Style sizzling pork steak with black pepper sauce, sizzling seafood udon, pineapple bun, and ice lemon tea. The service was quick and food was ready pretty quickly. The pork steak is tender and the mushroom sauce is yummy. It come with sausage and ham. The pork it self is deep fried with flour coating. It is not really sizzling. Pineapple but is good and fluffy. The udon is yummy and cooked nicely. The oncoy is good , and rice roll is yummy. I also like the lemon tea. It is not too sweet. Just be ready to wait but good thing is while waiting, you can walk around the complex as so manny offering in this area. Best is to line up before it opens.
