It's like a cross between a western style bbq joint and a middle eastern twist with its meats and food. Turns out, this place is mainly an Afghan restaurant! It's half eatery half a butcher shop for people to come and purchase fresh meats for some home cooking. In fact, I watched a lot of people coming in and ordering meats to go. I ordered their chili lamb kabob which was tender and juicy. It had lots of flavor from the spices but enough to where it wasn't overwhelming. I ordered it on top of a pillow of rice which was fluffy and buttery textured. It was delicious. There are sauce bottles to pair with the meats which is my favorite part. I really liked their white creamy yogurt sauce mixed with their red house chili sauce. It gave my lamb meat so much flavor and some heat. I loved my order and will definitely order two next time. I also want to try their steaks. They take their time grilling their meats so orders can take a short while. It's worth it for sure. No complaints here but I do wish they played some light music in the background for some ambiance. Things can be real quiet in here so it can be awkward dining in. Other than that, I really like this place and will be back for more.

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, a saffron chicken wrap, hummus and falafel on the side. The flavors did not do it for me. I love tang but nothing tasted pickled. The hummus had a wierd after taste and a tang that lingered like a bad aftertaste. I understand lemon but it wasn't fresh citrus. I've had such amazing hummus in my life and this did not come close. Falafels arrived warm and they are good. Nothing extraordinary. Hummus came with 1 pita and the texture of pita was off. It did not look or taste like pita. My wrap was saffron chicken wrap with fiery sauce, all veggies and no tomatoes. It was a nice wrap but chicken was scanty. I had to hunt for chicken. Again, their sauces did not do it for me. My husband's chicken shawarma bowl was good. He liked the crispy chickpeas in the bowl. On the plus side, whatever chicken my wrap had, tasted nicely charred. The purple cabbage had nice crunch in the wrap.

First Visit Highlights: Falafel, Veggie & Baba Ghanoush Wrap: Great flavor and very satisfying. Chicken Salad (with Hummus & Fries): Delicious, huge portion, and the Za'atar chips added a wonderful crunch. Tabsi Kufta with Basmati Rice: Extremely rich and filling. Mint Lemonade: Super refreshing! We actually had to get to-go boxes for both the salad and the Tabsi because the portions were so generous. Second Visit Highlights: Mansaf: The lamb was slow-cooked to perfection in aged yogurt and so tender it fell apart. Absolutely incredible. Falafel Salad (with Tabbouleh & Hummus): Fresh and flavorful. The Za'atar chips were missing this time, but the salad was so good we didn't even mind. Cucumber Mint Lemonade: The ultimate drink for hot weather! Atmosphere, Service & Parking: The ambience is great with plenty of seating options, plus an impressive menu of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Ordering is smooth: grab a printed menu on your way in, order at the counter, and take a seat while they bring the food to you. You can also use the QR code at your table to order extra items from your phone. Parking is easy with plenty of spots. Just a heads up: the dumpster area further out in the parking lot has a strong odor, so try to park a bit further away from that section. Overall, fantastic food every time. Highly recommended!

We arrived around 1:30pm, so the restaurant wasn't too crowded. I suspect most of the customers had already left after enjoying their lunch. We found a parking spot fairly close, which was a bonus. We've been here when finding a parking space close-by can be tough, since it's a popular spot to grab a bite. On this visit, I ordered a Gyro Plate with salad and Avgolemono Soup. This was my first time trying the soup and it was delish. It was a "Lemony" flavored chicken soup that had strips of chicken. I was pleasantly surprised when the soup was delivered in a bowl and not a cup. I always enjoy their salad and the Gyro was good-sized. My wife had the Falafel late with salad and fries. Our son ordered the Chicken Gyro Plate with salad and fries. Per usual, my wife and weren't able to finish our meals. We boxed our leftovers to-go and will enjoy later. We also ordered 3 soft drinks and helped ourselves to free refills. Another really good and filling meal.

A halal gem right between Mission College and Great America!…read more I met up with my friends here on a Friday night, and it wasn't busy at all. The interior looks modest. It's because it's geared more as a take-out, casual restaurant, where you go in and order your food at the cashier. Still, there are tables to sit down and dine in, so we waited around 15 minutes for all of our food to arrive. I got the Roasted Lamb entree, which consists of tender leg lamb pieces with rice, salad, and sauce. The lamb was so juicy and tender, even my friends who had a bite of it admitted they were jealous of my order. For a casual joint, Fremont Kabob did an amazing job making everything taste really good. In my opinion, I have personally been to halal places with better value in terms of their food, pricing, and restaurant environment. Nonetheless, this is a great place to try if you are in the Santa Clara area!
