Straightening my teeth with Invisalign wasn't terribly complicated, but getting me settled in a retainer after my treatment was complete was kind of dicey. I needed him to adjust it so my bite at night was neutral -- long story, but it has to do with being able to breathe when I'm sleeping (no clenching on back molars.) My request was kind of new to him, but he kindly and patiently listened to me and said, "I'm going to trust that you know what your body needs." And then he worked with me for close to an hour to adjust the bite on my retainer! I never once felt like he was exasperated. He truly won't rest until his patients are comfortable and happy. But Dr. Henry has also done something that so many others haven't: he's gathered a team of gifted, deeply dedicated support staff that made all the difference for me. This practice has several offices and he serves people in many locations. But when I needed something and he wasn't in the office, Val took exceptional care of me. Every single time I had a question or concern, I knew she was going to talk to Dr. Henry about it and together, they would find the best solution for me. What an incredible team they are! At my next to last visit, Val told me she would carefully explain our conversation to him, and when she did, he had the confidence to move forward with her recommendations. And guess what? It resulted in my getting e-x-a-c-t-l-y what I needed. Every single night I am grateful for my custom-made retainer because I can SLEEP. Bottom line: rest assured Dr. Henry has your back, and that his staff (especially Val) is not only highly skilled, but they also extend his generosity of spirit even when he's not there. They were very understanding that we are only concerned about alleviating crowding to make room for adult teeth, and will wait and see if further orthodontia is needed later. We have had no issues with her expander during the treatment. The desk people were very patient and helpful with the first use of my FSA card, which I had my doubts about. Billing is clear and simple. Appointment scheduling is also easy, and they provide just the right number of reminders. I didn't feel like I had to fill out too many forms, always a plus. We accidentally showed up a day early for one checkup, and they squeezed us in since we were already there. Appointments always run on time. Best of all, my daughter's teeth look adequately spaced now! It's like magic!

Pure Smiles was the only office that was able to accommodate me during the same week, and they were upfront about their costs and time of procedure. I was seen within 5 minutes of checking in, and I was impressed with the level of service I received from everyone from the front desk to the orthodontist. The orthodontic assistant was kind. She told me what she was doing at every step of the way. She also gave me a way to signal if I was in pain (which I wasn't - she was gentle!) I hope to not need to see an orthodontist for a while, but I would definitely recommend Pure Smiles to those looking for one.

I moved here almost a year ago and have been avoiding looking for one for that exact reason. I knew it was time to face my fears. Since I live downtown and BLVD is within walking distance, I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the vibe was right. I was greeted very warmly at the front desk, and my hygienist, Richelle, was incredibly friendly throughout the entire appointment. We began with X-rays and discussed potential areas that the dentist might address. I was very firm in the fact that I prefer a conservative approach. I am not averse to treatment when necessary, but I am not a person who's looking for extra bells and whistles. Dr. Cummings came into the room with a positive attitude and was super respectful of my past dental trauma and what I am looking for. He even had jokes, which I appreciate. It broke the ice and put me much more at ease. During our discussion and throughout my appointment, both Dr. Cummings and Richelle were receptive to my questions. I have a lot of them, as I like to ensure I'm doing everything possible to maintain my oral health. I came in knowing that I had a tooth that would need a crown at some point, but I was blown away when he mentioned an onlay. That was the moment he truly won me over. It's obvious that he listened to me and respected my wishes to be as conservative and save as much of the tooth as possible. After years of dentists throwing over-the-top treatment plans full of unnecessary work at me, this was refreshing. The Universe was also working in my favor that morning because someone happened to cancel their cleaning at the last minute, which allowed me to get my cleaning while I was there. I was fine with coming back, but this extra convenience was amazing. I have always had incredibly sensitive teeth, and in the past, I have not been able to get cleanings with the ultrasonic tool due to that. Richelle is a magician because she was able to use the tool on all of my teeth. Her attention to detail impressed me immensely. She took her time and was incredibly thorough. I was hoping to find a "decent" dentist who would consider my needs, but I ended up with much more. It has not been the norm for me to leave a dental office with a smile on my face, but I did. Days later, I'm still blown away by how well it went. I will be going back at some point soon for the onlay, and the jokes.

I learned so much about myself and they were so thorough. Dr. Ip, Shae, and Grace were all such a pleasure. On this visit, I learned that I have a deviated septum and also a tight oral frenulum. These might be why I have breathing problems at night. The team was never pushy with trying to sell me on services or products which I really appreciated. They have such cool technology that really gives me an in depth overview of my oral health. The only thing I would recommend is if they played music in the lobby or something. It echoes and is awkwardly quiet in the lobby. I would absolutely recommend the dental office and will be back for my next check up/cleaning!

I had an awful…read moreexperience at a place that I thought was a well oiled machine for Invisalign My final appointment was horrifically painful AND started 50 mins late and I had to stay an extra hour. Yes, my appointment was from 10-11, but it got started at 10:50 The teeth whitening was one of the most excruciating pain I've ever felt. I was actually wondering if it was suppose to feel like torture. Apparently, my mouth guard wasn't in place and while I was left to my own device, I was also suffering away as my gums burned and burned. I wish someone, anyone had just preface - that BURNING is not normal. I was almost in tears by the time I jump out of my seat and nearly ripped off the mouth guard, and whimpering before the tech came to check on me. My bottom gums were all either bleached white or burned. Invisalign is a huge investment - my invoice 7k or over from Swish and I really think that your local dentist could do it for cheaper (the discounts/deal isn't great bc they have such a high mark up), and you probably won't be tortured and left with WHITE GUMS after a simple whitening.

We don't have endless time to sit around. Came in for a crown replacement and literally sat in the dentist chair for 30 minutes waiting for numbing to take effect. They said dentist got caught up doing something else (which I thought meant like 5 minutes) and didn't show up for another 25 minutes! Before proceeding with the operation Service really needs to improve. People have lives and can't just sit around waiting all day.

I told her I think I reached my max and she said "no, I checked with your insurance company". Fast forward 18 months later after I finished my treatment, they send me a bill for $1,700 in addition to what I already paid. I contacted them and they said they would look into it and then responded back that my insurance didn't pay since I reached my maximum. So basically the woman who sold it to me at the beginning just flat out lied to me so I would move forward with the Invisalign. Such a shady practice...don't believe anything they tell you about price on the front end.
