The tea wasn't overly sweet; it had traces of green tea and matcha--slightly bitter but about halfway fruity as you would expect from a mango drink. The service was quick and friendly. I've been to quite a few Kung Fu Tea locations but this one in particular deserves a good review. From the moment we walked in; we were promptly greeted and asked if we needed help with ordering. Their menu is quite extensive so it has something for everyone! I ordered the Kung Fu black milk tea and the strawberry slushie. Both were very good and passed the taste test from my nephews. I would have to come beck again to try more items because the Taro milk tea I got was not really good or sweet. I'm still a slight novice to trying to order and know what is good between these milk teas and boboas. The best one I've tried so far is the brown sugar green milk tea I get at a spot here in Woodbridge. I want to try more but nobody seems to want to give you any help or suggest anything. If a customer isn't sure I would think the cashier would have enough sense to give advice. I love the Kung Fu Milk Tea so much that crave it!!! LOL I get the large Kung Fu Milk Tea with boba or bubbles...for those that do not know boba/bubbles are tapioca balls. Since the boba is already sweet, I choose 0% sugar and lite or no ice. I come to this location a lot since it's near my house. The place always looks clean and the staff is super friendly. One time the wrong drink was given to me and immediately they replaced it and was apologetic and super nice about it. I appreciate how friendly and accommodating everyone is! Tip: Get the app!!! What can I say... I am a KFT regular. My friends and I always choose KFT over most boba places, simply because their boba is always fairly consistent. There was maybe one time when it was hard and too chewy... but it's okay. I've forgiven them hahaha. My go to drink is the almond milk tea with boba and herbal jelly. I also really love the strawberry lemonade yakult with nata jelly. The only issue with the latter is that the recipe seems to be inconsistent every time I try it. Some days it's perfect, some days it's too sour? But either way, the taste reminds me of a pink starburst or a sour skittle. I'm a red belt status and never received my birthday drink. I asked the employee and she told me that she didn't know what else to tell me but that if I didn't have anything pop up on my app, then I'm basically SOL. Didn't love that, but hopefully next birthday, it'll be different (note: I did not get an email for a free birthday drink, and the red belt status does say you get a free birthday drink). Pretty consistent with their milk tea flavors I would say. They have all your classic flavors milk tea with oolong, jasmine, green or black tea. Some special ones I enjoyed are taro milk tea & almond milk tea. For the warmer season, I do enjoy a hot almond milk tea from here with less sugar. read more

Gotta love my Kung Fu Teas. I'm highly addicted to their Passion Fruit Green Tea. Love how sweet it can taste (to me) with 0% sugar and no ice...obviously - it's gotta be the Nata Jelly topping I usually get with it. Don't know what it is, but that is my go-to order every freaking time. Service was quick, drinks came out fast, and we were pretty much in and out within 15 mins. Plenty of parking in the plaza. We have been too many of these bubble milk tea places in the area including DC and by far this is the best. They have the best tapioca bubbles and very tasting milk teas. I love Kung Fu Tea (KFT). I'll typically pick KFT over other boba tea shops because KFT is a large chain that I can trust, some places that serve boba just do it because it's popular but they don't do it right. This KFT had four people working behind the counter, they probably only needed 2 but it probably made the job easier. I ordered a matcha/red bean slush with boba. It was $7. That's pricey for the smallest size they have. The drink itself was pretty good. I got 30% sweetness and it still bordered being too sweet. I stayed there to do some work on my laptop. More than a few people came back up to the counter after receiving their drink and said they got the wrong order. Maybe it was a bad day for the employees, not sure. read more

This is only the second KFT location I have visited and it was about average. There was ample seating, the tables and cafe were very clean, which was appreciated, but it honestly lacked in customer service, much like the location at Rockville Town Square. It's just a mindless process of ordering and then picking up the order. Still, it's very easy to find (free) parking in the lot right in front of the store and it seemed to be fairly busy that Saturday night. The hubby, got his fave: Taro slush with bobas and I went with the hot version of the coffee milk tea with bobas. The Taro was phenomenal, as usual. I love the sweet honey in the slush. The hot coffee didn't disappoint! It was warm, very warm, but I was grateful it wasn't scalding hot. I went with the bobas even though in my drink they were a bit harder yet still chewy, but in a hard sort of way. They were slightly slimy and sort of melted, but still worked in the drink. Awesome they have just opened and are still working out kinks and the menu is limited since most of the staff is still in training but once this place gets up and running it's going to be a frequent visit. My honey green tea with herbal jelly wasn't bad the green tea seemed a bit over brewed. The BF got his usual a taro slush with bubbles he mentioned boba was bit over cooked it was too mushy for him but overall the flavor was pretty good. Overall just excited that KFT is so much closer to his place we can get it more often now. Received my order and there was no ice in my caramel milk tea. When I asked the young man, who made the drink about the ice, he informed me that there was ice in it. I didn't feel like going back and forth about it, so I just took the drink and left. But as you can see there is clearly ice in one drink and none in the other. In springfield, there arent a lot of places you can go after 9pm. This is a good meeting spot for people too. The only reason i rated 4 stars its because i had orders that I asked for no ice. Bubble tea, how I have missed thee during quarantine. I figured since I was picking up some thai food from Thai Ghang Wan down the street from here (best thai food evar btw), why not place a pickup order for bubble tea which I have missed so much. My fiancé ordered a classic black milk tea with bubbles and I ordered a taro milk tea with pudding. Both 30% sweetness level (which was the right amount of sweetness for us, any more and it would have been too much). My taro milk tea and pudding was good! The black milk tea was fine too, but the bubbles were hard. I will say that I'm disappointed none of the employees had masks on while handling food. There was a sign outside noting that only 10 people should be in the shop, but people didn't seem to really be respecting the sign or enforcing it. So something to keep in mind if you have to take extra precautions and this kind of environment may be very risky for you. read more
