    Milk tea before drinking

Current as of 10/20/2024 - Workers don't have a care about doing well and give off the worst vibe. Ordered a medium milk tea and wasn't filled all the way. This happened once before.

I love coming here for a refreshing bubble tea. My classic go to is the taro slush when it is hot outside. I always make sure to get less sugar because the drinks are all sweat to begin with. Great ambiance. Also they have board games if you come with friends or family.

Better than Taekwondo Tea, because Taekwondo Tea doesn't exist. As far as I know. What to get: Lemon Black Tea What not to get: Herpes This is a popular international chain that is literally everywhere - all over North America, at least. And seems to be on, or near, every college campus. I really like this location. Excellent KFT location right next to J-Petal, which is even better, in that it's not a chain and has amazing crepes and such. What a wonderful Plaza this is - being able to get such good corporate Bubble Tea right next to such delicious desserts. The only other location of J-petal is in Brooklyn. Whereas Kung Fu tea is absolutely everywhere but that doesn't mean it's any less delicious. In terms of drinks, what you should get from Kung Fu tea is the Lemon Black Tea with tapioca, which is by far my fave drink here (but a lot of people don't like it), or perhaps an Oolong Honey Milk Tea, a Honey milk tea or a Taro Milk Tea. Getting hot milk teas really works here. Locations in warmer climates don't tend to make the hot drinks very well. In terms of off-menu drinks, I also highly recommend the Very Berry as a black tea and the Pineapple as a black tea. I don't really like the green teas because they come out too sweet but if you like sweet stuff that doesn't really taste of tea (like your mother) then you might. And the Grapefruit isn't bad as a green tea. My new fave off-menu drink is the Winter Melon Milk Tea as a Black Tea, because it magically comes out tasting like Sharetea's Okinawa or any Brown Sugar Milk Tea. Give it a try if they're willing to go off-menu for you! Anyway you should come over later because I'm Kung like a horse and I can Fu for Tea or Four hours.

I travel a lot for work, and it's hard to fulfill my boba cravings on this side of VA and WV. I'm sooooo glad I can always pass by Harrisonburg knowing there's a handy KFT to stop in, and even get some work done. The flavor is identical to the store near my house, and the service is consistent. The music can sometimes get a little loud, bit enjoyable environment to kill some time and work.

    - my go to drink is honey oolong milk tea - when i went in on parents weekend, there was only one employee working and a massive influx of customers; due to this the service was very slow :( - drink was made fantastically although the lid was not sealed completely, leading to some spills also visible in the picture

Their boba is usually really good! But lately their brown sugar boba pearls have been chemical tasting :(

Drifters Café is the kind of place you stumble into once and wonder how you ever lived without it. Tucked away in Harrisonburg, it's got a relaxed, unpolished charm that feels instantly inviting like your cool friend's loft but with better espresso. The coffee? Legit. Smooth, bold, and just the right amount of creative. Their iced Mexi Mocha hits you with a hint of spice that somehow makes you feel more awake and alive than your average caffeine fix. What sets Drifters apart is how effortlessly comfortable it feels. There's no forced aesthetic or overly curated playlist just friendly people, natural light, and a space that feels like it was made for slowing down. Whether you're catching up with a friend, deep in your laptop, or just people watching over a hot latte, it never feels like you're overstaying your welcome. If you're looking for good coffee, a chill and friendly atmosphere, or you just want to lock in and get some work done. Drifters is where you want to be

The place was pretty empty at 7:30am on a Saturday morning, but I'm not complaining at all. Service was really good. I got the avocado bagel with everything seasoning on top and a vanilla latte. Both were made well. I was expecting an avocado spread, but was nicely surprised when I saw that it was actual slices of avocado. It was delicious and kept me full for a good amount of time! I loved it here and would return.

The location was spacious -- there's the cafe side where they make drinks and have plenty of tables/seating and the cat playground side where you can play with cats! If you don't want to play with the cats, you can just watch them from the cafe side. We ordered our drinks and made a 1-hour reservation to play with the adorable kittens. The reservation process was pretty easy -- we didn't have to wait long because it wasn't so busy. You can reserve online or walk-in, then you just sign a waiver. It was so much fun playing with the cats. They are well taken care of and have plenty of toys. I also appreciated how clean and hygienic the space was (they have hand sanitizers and cloth covers you put over your shoes before you enter the kitty space). You can also bring your drinks inside. I also want to mention that the drinks here are amazing. I've been to a few cat cafes before -- some just offered packaged snacks/drinks and some had a fully functioning cafe but the drinks were okay. This cat cafe had all kinds of teas and coffee/espresso drinks. They also have special seasonal drinks. My husband and I got the Vietnamese Matcha and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. Wasn't expecting this cat cafe to actually be as good as a neighborhood cafe! I will definitely be coming back here if we are ever in the area again!
