Kung Fu Tea is really consistent no matter, which location you attend! Each different story probably loose a star or gains one for service! The bubble milk tea is my favorite to get at Kung Fu Tea! My favorite bubble tea spot at all times! There are so many drinks I love on the menu and now that they sell snacks, I am absolutely in love with this place! One of my favorite drinks is their bubble milk green tea. For some reason, the green tea and milk together gives a rose/lavender taste to it and it's quite unique. I don't think I've tasted that before in other bubble tea places. Another drink I recommend is the red wow milk. It's milk with bubbles and red beans. This drink reminds me of those Asian desserts with red beans, which is probably why I like it so much. Their slushes are my favorite drinks both in the summer and the winter! Their taro slush is a must have! It tastes like ice-cream and let's be honest, who doesn't like ice-cream?! The caramel macchiato slush will definitely be your new favorite if you're a coffee lover. I can go on and on about each and every drink because they're equally as good but their snacks give you more of a reason to stop by now. The first time I tried it, I knew I'd come back for more. They have popcorn chicken (original, salt and pepper, spicy, and garlic flavors), sweet potato fries, fries, fried Oreos, and macaroon. (I am secretly craving some right now.) This is a great spot to stop by with a friend or two to get a drink and some snacks. Remember to get cash before coming! They don't accept cards. This place is great and never too crowded because Bensonhurst is pretty Asian but not SO Asian that you get pissed off at all the crowds at your favorite snack spots like you would in Flushing. Because Fuck Flushing. (Except for them meat stick stands, they cool, they should come to Bensonhurst.) I usually get the Green Tea Slush + Red Bean + Black Herbal Jelly. Holy shit, you buy that for a car ride and you are set, my friend. That's the best companion you need for a "long" drive out to the next borough, especially if you're going to turn the corner at Bay Pkwy and get on the Belt -- you'll be glad you made a Kung Fu Tea stop. They sell food now! Watch out Vivi because they nailed it with their recent change. I had the popcorn chicken at kft recently and I found that they are a bit too heavy on seasoning. Their drinks are ok but a little on the sweet side so you might want to go down a level on sugar when you order. My favorite is the taro milk tea. Not all places make taro taste the same but the taro at kft is perfect for me along with their nata jelly. I was so excited to see a Kung Fu Tea open up in my neighborhood that I've been only going here ever since. I've tried all of their drinks from the original and go-to-drink, the Bubble Milk Tea to their Taro Slush and their coffees. All of their drinks never fall to amaze my taste buds. Now that they are serving snacks, I am going to need to wear sweatpants from all this tea and chicken I will be gobbling down. Not to mention their promotions for the holidays like raffles and the free totes are a plus. Kung Fu Tea has a wide variety of drinks each one more amazing than the next. My favorite drinks are the bubble milk tea with less sugar and less ice because sometimes I don't need such a sugar rush the normal formula would give me, keeping me hyper for days. On other days I would go for the passion fruit green tea with nata jelly, which always hits the spot with its sweet passion fruit flavor and the strong authentic green tea taste. But in the summer time I would always love to get the slushes, the taro slush never fails and neither does the strawberry milk slush, both with bubbles of course because that's the best part. Extra bubbles for me please! And now that its winter, I like to get the hot taro milk green tea or the hot oolong milk tea with bubbles or jelly. Their new snack foods, like the fried oreos,fried buns and signature popcorn chicken are sweet and savory always cooked to perfection! Overall, the teas taste delicious and the foods are savory and to die for when I have cravings for sweets. Coming to Kung Fu Tea is the best and their staff are always friendly and quick to serve. I was excited to hear that Kung Fu Tea was going to be opened at a location so much closer to home and also accessible. That was my first thought when the lovely bubble tea chain was brought over. Boy did I take advantage of its proximity when it first opened its doors to Ave U neighborhood. I was and still is a frequent customer to this location, whenever I'm in the area and want some bubble tea action. I know Vivi's has recently opened nearby but it hasn't given me the incentive to go inside and get something from there. I've had Vivi's in other locations in the past and it doesn't quite make me content with the bubble tea. My go to order is always green milk tea with herbal jelly and less sugar. They have never gotten my order wrong and the wait was 5 minutes or so. Every time I pass by, I always see customers which is a sign that this place is doing bubble tea and their cousins justice. Plus they serve food now, so it's your one stop for drinks and snacks! read more

When I'm in the area, I definitely prefer Kung Fu Tea over Vivi. The workers here are more lively and actually seems like they enjoy/like their job, unlike the depress-looking workers are Vivi. My order is always made correctly here; I've never had any problems. Although the store is not as big and only have a few seats, their drinks compensate for it :) I would make the effort and cross the streets to go to KFT for some bubble tea or other drinks. read more

I loveeeee this place! The teas and iced coffees are great! In the winter time in always get their hot cappuccinos. They taste amazing. They add a little bit of cinnamon (if you're a fan of cinnamon, you will love it) In the summertime I mostly get the their iced coffee or the original green tea. This is the place that started my bubble tea obsession. This place is also the best bubble tea joint on Ave U hands down. Their honey green tea is very good, same with the Matcha Green Tea and Wow Milk. The staff is always revolving, but very friendly and usually remember my order when I come in. Was n he mood for bubble tea so I drove over to Kung Fu tea. I've had it before from their upper east side location and downtown brooklyn and loved it. This location does not take card: cash only. Had to go across the street to Duane reade for ATM. Ordered the Oreo milk tea with 30% less sugar and the peach oolong with coconut jelly. The Oreo tasted like there wasn't any sugar at all- you could tell it would've been great had they followed my sugar request. I have been trying to conserve plastic (you know, so we all die a little later) and because I'm a big bubble tea connoisseur, I bought a large shaker cup with a cover that has the perfect size opening for a bubble tea straw. Score! So I go to Kung Fu to get tea in this reusable, environmentally friendly cup. Usually the service at this place is excellent. However, the manager flat out refused to pour it in my cup with absolutely no explanation. I told him several times why I don't want to waste plastic - they go through tons of cups per day that just end up in the garbage and I'm just trying to ease that footprint a bit. Didn't change a damn thing. So I left and went to Vivi down the street, who had no problem putting their tea in my cup. Shameful to care more about something petty (whatever that reason may be) than the planet on which you live. read more

Red Bean Wow milk is good ! I love this drink! It has tapioca and red beans in it. Their tapioca is so soft and chewy , it's better than all the other bakeries out there that serve tapioca. I'm very cautious of my weight so I do not like overly sweet drinks like added sugar or very fattening creamy drinks. I asked them not to put sugar in red wow drink and they said they don't add sugar. Then I also asked for fat free milk and they said they only use regular milk. I thought they used some kind of heavy evaporated milk or condensed and it turns out they don't. So this drink only consists of whole milk, tapioca and red beans. Doesn't sound bad at all huh? This place is awesome! Why are yelpers complaining that their drinks are too sweet or that they got the wrong order? These drinks are fully customizable! You get to tell them how sweet you want it and what extra add-ins you want. They make the drink based on the label they print and if you look at the label and its not what you ordered you tell them and they don't fuss about making you another drink. In fact, they'll make another drink without any questions. If you order a drink and it seems strange, they will tell you how it might come out and ask you if you've had it before. This is a great place when you want something cold. I tried to go once a week. The only reason why I go once a week is, they don't accept credit cards it's a cash only place. This place is run by teenagers but they know what they're doing. The service here is quick and the place itself is cute and modern with high sitting chairs and shiny white tables. Their bubble tea is beyond amazing. If you go to the bakery across the street, they won't make it the same way. Unfortunately, the only thing that brings me away from this place is the price. A bit pricey for bubble tea. Also, note that they don't use real tea. They use a powder. I've also heard that some tapioca may contain plastic as a filler depending on where it's made. I frequently find myself travelling quite far for my bubble tea, seeing as a live in the neighbourhood, it was a pleasant surprise to see a reputable chain bubble tea place open up so close. I decided to give it a try! Be prepared for a very sweet, warm honey-like smell when you walk in. The place is very white, very clean, but there aren't that many chairs/tables. Most people get bubble tea on the go anyway, so no big deal. They are well staffed, and the place has not been packed yet. The first drink I got there was regular bubble milk tea with coconut jelly. They give you generous amounts of jelly, seeing as my friend got the herbal black kind and it was maybe up to of the cup. I am a fan of the ice levels as well! They definitely aren't trying to cheat you out of tea. The next time I went and got tapioca, generous amounts of that too. The only complaint I have about this place is that I believe that the tapioca/jelly might be a bit too sweet for me. As for recommendations, I am very very partial to the taro!
