You get two free tickets to use for free food/ desserts (there's a selection of rice bowl, matcha affogato, ube/ black sesame tiramisu, a rose tea lemonade, and later on there were buns!). You also get a free gift bag that comes with a cute glass tumblr and a selection of a free gift (either chili oil, ramen, or useable straws). The event was well organized and there was plenty of staff. We arrived a few minutes before they opened and there was already a line. But it moved quickly and everything was quite seamless. Inside were plenty of tables and some free activities like board games and making your own bracelet. There's also a restroom in the back! We stayed for two hours to play some games and eat our food. I really enjoyed the ambiance. It was busy in the beginning but by the time we left, it wasn't as busy anymore but still a good amount of freebies left. I ordered the cold cut banh mi and I do have to say that I felt like it was quite overpriced and not delicious. The bread is soft which I do like but the filling was not hitting. They were generous with the filling but the flavor was just not quite there for me. I had plenty of cold cut banh mis from other places but this one just fell short. I feel like it was missing some of the typical fillings maybe it's the cilantro or cucumber or the pate, I'm not sure myself. My friend enjoyed his lemon grass sandwich. Such a cozy place to grab a tea and hang out. I LOVED the bedazzling option and so did my daughter. How fun to bedazzle your cup! I love supporting local businesses, and Tea & Milk has been an excellent addition to Bay Ridge. Their banh mis are delicious and I love that they make an effort to offer halal options to cater to the local taste. Personally, I prefer their cold cuts ($12) version but their BBQ pork ($13) is a close second for me. I will say the banh mis do take some time to prepare so I would suggest setting aside at least 10 minutes or to order ahead if you're running short on time. Tea & Milk also makes excellent bubble tea with location specific specials too. The Bay Ridge ($6.75) is a mango lassi-inspired concoction made with mangos, dahi yogurt, and milk. Having just celebrated their 1st anniversary here in Bay Ridge, it's long past time for me to review Tea and Milk. When you first walk in you're greeted with a cute greenery setting with neon lights that would seem ideal for taking pictures of your drinks after you get them. There's also a bookcase full of boardgames that I have yet to explore but definitely should. There's also a poster for Kobe Bryant's Mamba Mentality, but being from Chicago I'm more of a Jordan guy. Kobe is a solid choice, though. Every employee that I've interacted with this past year has been extremely kind and helpful. It's impressive that they've put together such a complete team of warm, welcoming individuals. For drinks they have a variety of drink options ranging from more fruit filled mixes to coffee and matcha mixes, and creamier drinks featuring ingredients like taro. Everything is freshly prepared in-house, and you'll often see deliveries of fresh produce being brought in throughout the day. The add-in options for the drinks include boba, herbal jelly, tapioca pearls, and aloe vera chunks. They also serve hot coffee, but if you're coming here you're probably here for the other drinks. For food they have four options for banh mi. They offer the classic cold cut, BBQ pork, lemongrass chicken, and the supreme which is one of the warm proteins combined with the cold cut sandwich. Each sandwich comes topped with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, and Sriracha. My guess is that you can pick and choose what you want to add, but I've never had a banh mi from here (or anywhere) where I didn't get it loaded with everything. The only issue I've ever had with any of the sandwiches is that the bread can sometimes come out a bit too crispy. There's a very fine line when it comes to banh mi baguettes that is easily crossed over from perfect bite and chewiness to harder crust and innards. Very rarely the line gets crossed, but it's not often. This isn't a knock on them or anything, it's just an unfortunate happening with any banh mi shop. All in all, this is, and has been, a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. It was big enough to split but it was soooooo good that I had many regrets after not getting my own. Best bahn mí I've ever had. This review is for their sip and paint ($28.52 pp after taxes). I thought it was cute how they were doing it for Halloween, so I signed up with a group of friends. They laid all the tools (paint, brushes, aprons, canvases) at the front near the entrance, so it was very organized. You take a seat wherever you like and there's already an easel and a cup of water for the paint brushes at each seat. The easel was a little flimsy and did not provide enough support for the canvas, but I guess you can't expect much from a bubble tea shop. The canvases already had printed outlines on them so you just have to color them in; there was no teacher. I kind of liked it that way so everyone in the group can do a different design and go at their own pace. It was a two hour limit which I thought was just enough time for the size of the painting. It's a lot smaller than the usual paint and sip places, but I like that I don't have to go home with a big piece of artwork that I may not like. You get to choose one bubble tea drink with your ticket. I got the brown sugar oolong milk tea with no sugar adjustment. It was way too sweet. I took a few sips and didn't touch it anymore. But later on, the sugar got diluted by the melted ice and it was drinkable. My husband got the strawberry matcha with bubbles. I don't usually like tea and milk's bubbles but they were much softer than the past times I've tried them, so I'm glad to see that they're improving! The staff was really sweet and offered painters complimentary pastel de natas at the end. They were all of varying temperatures though. My husband's was cool but mine was so hot it burnt my mouth! I came to this restaurant because of a Yelp Elite Week Promotion and I'm so glad I can add a new restaurant to my go-to in the area! This restaurant is conveniently located within steps of the R train, B9 bus and B64 bus! From the outside it looks like a small place but once you enter, the place was pretty big. I was lucky enough to have tried this previously via a YES event (thank you Yelp!) and got the taro drink which was real and textured and goood - husband did not like lol. Serena was super helpful and patient while I decided and now my post pregnancy brain will not allow me to remember the nice guy who made my sandwich... Steven? sorry... There were a bunch of different drink options so it was hard to choose, but there are also other things you can add to the drink in addition to boba such as aloe and grass jelly if you're into that. I was offered a sample of the aloe and while I liked it, I didn't think my husband would so I didn't include it in my drink. The drink was really good and what I was looking for. I got the strawberry matcha and it was so good. You could tell the strawbery puree was freshly made. The matcha flavor wasn't that strong but I didn't mind too much. We met up with our friends at Tea and Milk at this location in Brooklyn. It's a lovely space to hang out. They have nice decors and great drinks and sandwiches. I love how they have board games as well. I normally am not a huge milk tea / boba tea person. I am lactose intolerant. However, a lot of boba places nowadays do offer alternative milk like soy, almond or oat milk. So I got a hot matcha milk tea with oat milk with additional boboa or herbal jellies. I got the latter with regular sugar. It tasted good. I finished it within 15 minutes. Our friends are regulars here because they lived 5 mins away. They loved their passion fruit drinks. One small advice - I wish their tables were put together to accommodate four people sit-downs. We would have sat down to dine with sandwiches and play a bit of games with our friends. Came here on their grand opening day for the BOGO drinks. Unfortunately they were out of Bahn Mi's (30% off). I got the Astoria drink and it was really sweet (can't adjust sweetness). I think their boba is good though. I would come back to try their milk teas but I think their fruit tea flavors are a bit underwhelming to me. I visited the store for a Yelp Elite Event. The owner was so friendly and informative, taking the time to explain the driving force behind the business, what sets them apart from their competitors and the process of making the drinks. The drinks are all made from fresh and clean ingredients, which definitely shines through in the flavor. I had what is essentially strawberry milk and it was some of the best I've ever had. I also tried a few samples of their banh mi. Delicious! I've always wanted to the sandwich but had been nervous it would be too dry. Happy this was my first experience because it exceeded expectation. The sauces on it were truly the highlight. I would have to say my favorite of the options is the cold meat one. All in all, support local businesses, especially when they take the care to use real and fresh ingredients and make food and drinks that are genuinely good. This is a super cute bubble tea spot in Bay Ridge and right outside the R train station. If you're in the area and need a quick bite or drink, I'd definitely stop by. They have really nice decor and a clean, quiet space. There's even games up in the front. Most bubble tea places I've been to are usually just takeout or they have limited seating, so if you'd prefer to sit down, they have a lot of space for that. The employees are also very welcoming and very knowledgeable in their teas and brewing methods. I ended up getting their Lavender Milk Tea with their Signature Cream. Their lavender flavor was very fragrant and I learned that they brew the actual leaves to achieve it. I love that they use the leaves instead of syrup or artificial flavoring. They suggested to just get the regular amount of sweetness so that all the flavors were balanced and I was very happy with it. Be sure to give it a shake before drinking and really incorporate all the flavors in them! Their Banh Mi sandwiches also are very tasty! I was able to try their chicken and pork banh mis. The bread was soft but still had that nice crunch to it. They're generous with the portions as well and the freshness of the vegetables made it so much brighter. I definitely want to try out the other sandwiches. I'm definitely excited to try more of their drinks. Arrived at Tea and Milk on a long bike ride from the Upper West Side of the city. As I stepped in, immediately I noticed 2 things, wait make that 3. First the place is absolutely spotless. Eventually they will get the A rating from the Department of Health. Next, nice soft music playing so if you were on a date, you can actually have a calm relaxing conversation. Lastly in the ambience department, I was greeted by Edward who had a smile and gave absolute attention to helping me out. They also have some board games if you're interested in a little fun time. Being this was the first time I ever went to a Boba tea spot I was a little overwhelmed by the myriad of choices. Edward helped guided me based on how I described my culinary preferences. Eventually I ended up with a Mango Rose Tea Lemonade enhanced with strawberries. WOW! So delicious with just the right amount of sweetness! Definitely would get it again. So when you're the neighborhood , stop in for some great drink choices off their expansive menu. read more

This is officially our favorite bubble tea place - we will always come here when the boba craving hits even though there are closer places to us! You can tell they use all fresh ingredients - the strawberry milk and mango lassi were both so good with so much fresh fruit in both. You have to try the boba and bánh mis here! Both the supreme and bbq pork flavors were on point, and the baguette was unbelievably soft and fluffy. These banh mis are more packed than my typical bánh mi spot! I love the taste of pate especially in bánh mis and they gave a really good amount of spread. Tea and Milk has 2 other locations in NYC, and I was so excited for them to expand into Brooklyn! They're always a super popular spot for their bobas too because they use fresh fruits, and you can clearly taste the difference! I love their drinks, and always recommend the matcha mango tea latte! What I got: - The Supreme ($13) combination cold cuts and BBQ pork w/ pate - BBQ Pork Banh Mi ($13) - Passionfruit Rose Tea ($6.50 + $0.75 boba) (large) The staff here are also super friendly and accommodating. My bestie loves tea and milk astoria location. She always get the strawberry lychee w 25% sugar. But new location seemed to miss the taste, and it didnt have any lychee in the drink! Sad bois.. And it was too sweet w too much strawberry taste. The signature taro root milk tea was so good and paired well w the smol bubbles, that was chewy and perfect. The end of the drink tasted like peanut milk in a can, my childhood snack. If i'm not mistaken i think there's a bathroom here available for customers.
