If a place consistently delivers quality drinks, strong execution, and keeps us coming back, that earns a top rating from me. Teadm absolutely does that. We go to Teadm in Sterling often, and it has become one of our go to spots for drinks. Their Brown Sugar Milk Tea with boba is outstanding. Rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with the kind of texture that keeps you coming back for another sip. One thing I really appreciate is that their milk teas are actually milky and creamy. They are not thin or watery like at some other places. Also, the added traditional boba is excellent! It is consistently chewy, fresh tasting, and cooked perfectly every time. That kind of consistency matters, and they clearly pay attention to quality. They also offer a Brown Sugar Milk option with no caffeine, which is fantastic for the kiddos. Same creamy, satisfying flavor profile without the caffeine, and that has made it a family favorite. Another consistent winner is their Seasalt Bac Xiu Coffee. It never disappoints. Great balance of sweetness, coffee flavor, and that salted cream element that makes it so enjoyable. We have also tried the Color Switch Lemonade, which is good and fun to order. If I could offer one suggestion, I would love to see a classic simple lemonade or a lychee lemonade added to the menu as well. Overall, this place rocks. Great drinks, consistent quality, family friendly options, and the kind of menu that keeps us coming back. A solid 5 stars from me.

Please note that, when possible, I order my drinks at 50% sweetness. My ranking so far is as follows: 1. Mango Pomelo Sago - A must have! started my love for Y-tea.. good flavor + textures from included toppings. Basically everyone I have introduced this drink to has become obsessed with it. I'm not kidding. My boyfriend buys 4 drinks at a time for his friends. 2. Strawberry swirl - Reminds me of strawberry cheesecake ice cream.. Feel like adding a topping would make it better tho 3. Vietnamese sea salt - REALLY good coffee... the sea salt cream is such a good pairing 4. Pumpkin spice milk tea - Tastes like pumpkin pie ice cream ! 5. Brulee fresh taro latte - The milky flavor is so good. I love it. I'm not sure if I would pay for this again unless I wanted a treat. Feels like I'm buying high quality milk LOL. 6. Mango milk tea - Real mango goodness 7. Yogi berry - Like a milky strawberry smoothie v nice w boba :) 8. Pineapple batida - Similar to the mango pomelo but not as slay. still really good! 9. Strawberry milk tea - SO yummy! It tastes like they use real strawberries. 10. Peach slush - Reminds me of peach gummies. Kinda sweet even at 50% but not bad! 11. Honeydew slush - Good melon flavor. I enjoy a good slush and it's fluffiness. 12. Honeydew milk tea - Classic. Delicious. 13. Taro milk tea - Pretty classic taro taste. I was hoping for more but a solid choice 14. Sunset delight - Fruity to the max! Kinda sweet. 15. Oreo matcha slush - Oreo doesnt do much but their matcha is good! 16. Oreo brulee matcha milk - Same as oreo matcha slush 17. White peach tea - Very pleasant flavor 18. Royal milk tea - Classic milk tea flavor (a lot of the black tea milk teas are very similar, and unfortunately, I am not a tea conniseur that can label all the different notes) 19. Honey milk tea - I'm guessing its like black tea + honey? Pretty basic flavor 20. Okinawa milk tea - Classic 21. Passionfruit slushee - Nice and fruity 22. Strawberry slushee - Reminds me of strawberry candy 23. Super fruit cup - Tastes like mango juice.. I enjoyed the chunk of watermelon 24. Lychee slush - Simple lychee flavor very pleasant and light 25. Thai tea brulee slush - Not that sweet. Brulee doesn't add too much tbh. 26. Peppermint - Meh but had whipped cream which was very yummy 27. Slush thai tea - Better than the classic milk tea version. Cold. Fluffy. 28. Hokkaido milk tea - Wish it had a more milky flavor like the fresh taro brulee 29. Thai tea - Classic thai tea flavor. Didn't really stick out in terms of other thai teas but still good! 30. Ceylon milk tea - Weaker classic milk tea flavor 31. Oolong milk tea - Earthy? It's ok I prefer something like Royal Milk Tea 32. Watermelon green tea - Green tea blended w watermelon i think? appreciate the fresh fruit but wasn't anything special 33. Green tea lychee - Lychee tasted weird? Weird feeling in my mouth. 34. Tiger milk tea - Literally milk and sugar 35. Avocado - My fault for doing 50% sugar instead of 75%. It tastes very fresh. It was not sweet at all at 50% and ruined it for me. Generally, I am an enjoyer of sweet avocado shakes. Service is chill! The vibes of Y-Tea is super chill (when it's not busy). Definitely a nice spot to catch up with friends!

If a place delivers quality drinks, good variety, and meets expectations for what it is trying to be, that earns a strong rating from me. We recently visited Y-Tea for boba. Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing especially memorable. The milk tea was decent and certainly drinkable, but it did not stand out in flavor, texture, or quality compared with stronger boba spots we have visited. It was fine, just nothing special. One disappointment for our family was the lack of lemonade options. The kiddos were hoping for something along those lines, so that limited the menu for them and took away a bit from the experience. There was nothing bad about the visit, but nothing that really wowed us either. Overall, I would call Y-Tea a solid 3 stars. It is fine if you are nearby and want a boba fix, but for us it did not separate itself from the pack.

It was actually quite delectable! It hit the right spot for my cravings! The Summer Crunch croffle has granola, banana, strawberries, vanilla gelato and raspberry sauce. It was a great combination of crunch and sweet and savory! I also ordered a white peach fruit tea, which is pretty much my order of choice every time I've stopped by. As always, their staff are polite and come ready with their recommendations if you need them. The shop is fairly clean, and I've noticed that they have a pretty steady foot traffic. In the summer/warmer months, I've definitely noticed a lot of groups hang out in the shop. They don't have a lot of people staying to enjoy their orders in the middle of the day, so I think they'd be a good spot to do some remote work if you wanted to. Overall, solidly good experience. I would definitely recommend the croffles. The boba can still be a hit or miss.

It was good but not any different than I could get elsewhere. I ordered a mango fruit tea with boba. She ordered a Tiger Tea which is their version of brown sugar tea. It was good but I thought she's had better versions of it elsewhere. The service was quick and the gentleman working convinced us to stay in and try the boba. The ambiance is probably where they try to get people inside. There's hanging chairs which is kinda cool. If you want boba that Mochinut doesn't serve next door, then this place is serviceable. But there's tons of other boba places that I personally think are better if you are willing to drive.

Be prepared to hunt for the place if you've never been to the shopping center, which is quite close to Route 7. We were here around 4 p.m. on a Saturday. At that time of day, there was one occupied table. Ordering food means going to the counter and giving your order to the person working there, and then paying. They have a menu on the wall, but the woman working there told us to look at the paper menu. Apparently, the menu on the wall is constantly changing. Before coming, we decided to order Mongolian beef, ma po tofu, and two small bowls of hot and sour soup. At first, my husband couldn't find the Mongolian beef on the menu. I took a look and found it is listed under the chef's specials. We gave our order and also got a can of ginger ale from the refrigerated chest. After paying, we chose a four top table for ourselves. The food came out quickly! First, the hot and sour soup came. It was served hot and did have some kick to it. We both enjoyed it. It does have quite a few button mushrooms in it, which I gave to my husband. Just as we were finishing the soup, both our entrees arrived. We both liked the Mongolian beef (which also had an abundance of button mushrooms). The sauce was tasty, and the beef was tender. As for the ma po tofu, we thought it was okay but could have been better. It's a meat-free entree that basically has large pieces of tofu, a lot of thin, spicy sauce, and bits of green onions. We each were given generous portions of white rice. We would consider visiting again in the future, as the service was excellent. As for ambiance, it has a carry-out place feel. It's kept quite clean.

With changing the sweetness level of boba, it's always a gamble on how it's going to affect the overall drink (most of the time, regular sweetness level is too much for me). The drink was okay, I wish there was more mango flavor in it though. I think maybe 75% sweetness would fix it, but I'm really not sure. Overall, I think it's an okay boba tea shop. If I'm at Dulles Town Center again, maybe I'll stop by and try a milk tea instead.
