I go to KT when I am in FL, so half the year. They have been recommended. I get a pedicure. It has generally been very good. Today I had a woman with a mask on. Never told me her name. Water basin was filled half with cold water (it's cold outside in FL today), took forever to get it warm enough to soak my feet and she sort of argued. Next, clipping my cuticles was painful. I'm not certain she did a base coat. At the drying station noticed big bubble on big toe. She 'fixed' it. No additional base coat and a rush to get polish and top coat on. I waited about an hour at home to put on shoes and socks. Both feet have dents and marks on the nails now. This has never happened before, but the polish is a mess. Not happy with today's outcome. read more

Everyone was professional and friendly. The place was very clean. Unfortunately my no chip chipped one day after the service. I've had no chips manicures from several locations up north, and they have lasted over two weeks without chipping. I don't usually get manicures anymore, so having this happen on my first in over a half a year is disappointing. read more

Never again! Much deserved review, I waited for over an hour before walking out. I did not have an appointment, I knew I would have to wait which is understandable. I watched two people walk in without appointments as well and get served before me. I was witnessed two gal workers just doing miscellaneous duties around the shop while I was waiting in the pedicure chair for over an house. Those are the two women who helped the other two ladies that walked in for a pedicure. I just loved to Bradenton and was trying to find a nail aloo. I liked. I will never go back there. I usually love this place. But I pretty much left in tears. Had limited time to get a gel manicure before my baby shower and this was the outcome. She did a full "gel with manicure" in less then 20 minutes. Half attempt at even getting the cuticle. One hand she didn't even push them back. I have a gross amount of gel under my nails. $40 later. I showed the guy how horrible it was and there was paint all over both my thumbs and he gave me a $3 coupon and I paid full price for the absolute worst manicure I've ever gotten. Super disappointed they'd let someone leave clearly unhappy with the service and think a $3 coupon is sufficient. I should have just been paying for the gel polish at this point since there wasn't any sign of a manicure being done. read more

Horrible experience... they don't know how to do a decent pedicure or a regular acrylic fill. I had to go somewhere else for it be fixed it was so thick and the shape was awful on top of that they still charged me for a service that was incomplete ( I had to tell them to stop in the middle of the service) I will NEVER come back and spend my money here again. read more

I felt there was a lot of confusing "speak" with owner about processes and prices. Why is French called "pink and white"? I used to get French and then went to Ombre at another salon and it got too expensive so have shopped around. Why do they push "Dip"? Whats wrong with acrylic? I agreed to pink and white acrylic for the lower price. It looks like my old Acrylic French. When i left i was told he hadnt taken price increase in 2 yrs. He might have to take one if rent goes up. I feel like i am being set up for an arbitrary price increase for next visit. What is going on with our salons? This is all seeming like price fixing and a racket. They need to publish their prices. Dont show pricing on an I pad that can be changed with a push of a button. My French (pink and white) was good but come on they can do that in their sleep they have been doing it so long. read more

Gina did a great job on my nails! My pedicure was 15 minutes long and I wasn't going to tip the girl who did my pedicure- because I paid for 30 minutes and figured she already gave herself one when she cut my pedicure short. I even commented, "that was the quickest pedicure I ever had". As I checked out I was asked if I was going to tip the "other" girl. I said no I only got a 15 minute pedicure. My point is- a tip is gratuity not a automatic part of the job. It's a reward for excellent service. Not giving me what I paid for is not a job we'll done. KT Nails is definitely a one-stop place for me... thankfully. It is good to make an appointment ahead of time, but walk ins are fine too, if it is not a busy time of day. Before, I used to get my nails done on one side of town and then my pedicure elsewhere. Since KT Nails opened in the new Publix plaza, I just go there right after work and do everything at once. Quick and easy. Jenny is my favorite technitian for nails, because I have acrylics. Her fills are accurate and super fast. I also left the country travelling for almost a month and told her ahead of time, so she made sure that my nails were extra sturdy to last the entire trip, and they did. I have had pedicures done by numerous people at KT, all have been very professional and relaxing. The facilities and chairs are new and clean, so I have never heard of anyone having trouble. Bella is excellent for pedicures, but like I said everyone has been great. They are located in the Publix shopping center called Lockwood Commons on the corner of Lockwood Ridge and State Road 70 (53rd Ave). read more

I been going here for almost 10 years , stopped going for about 3 years when i moved out of the city . The staff now are new , not like the old staff . most of the people there don't really know how to do nails . I keep giving them a chance because of loyalty but it not cutting it for me . I went to Gina , i was very specific on how i wanted my fill to be shaped , she did the complete opposite of what i asked her . When i said it 5 times during the shaping process . She got gel polish on my cuticle . She applied the thinnest layer of acrylic to my cuticle and missed acrylic of the sides of each nail . I had to have her redo the application on each nail . Each nail is uneven from poor drill work . My toe nail polish changed is piss poor and blocky . I will not be giving them another chance and this is my 4th fail attempt at getting a good mani and pedi from this place read more

Negative Stars for this business... I still try to give it a chance maybe once every 6 months or so and it just gets worse... The Thick Polish doesn`t stay for a day and the workmanship is horrid. Pedicures are embarrassing and the Manicures are pathetic!!! The Prices are Triple the charges of any other salon! There are 10 other really nice salons near by I can mention to compare... I wish I could have gotten the lady's name who did my nails but she didn't speak fluent english at all.. I heard so many good reviews about this place and how they are very good at what they do so I decided to give them a try due to the fact my nail technician moved out of state and I really want somebody talented. NOPE. WRONG DECISION. I asked for a fill with one nail repair and gel paint with matte coat which I do most of the time when I do not do ombré. She cut me, she did not pay attention when using the drill, she kept filing down making my length shorter and shorter and my matte coat has lines in it when she redid it TWICE because she kept messing them up and they still turned out horrible. I really needed a manicure after traveling for the past 2 weeks. I made an appointment but didn't know the manicurists. I had the manicure with Tim. The manicure was mediocre but I was happy to have it done. I gave him $20 cash and a $5 tip. When I was drying my nails I kept hearing that if you pay cash you would get $2 back. When I said I had paid cash the owner said he would give me a $1 coupon for the next time I came. I won't go there again. What an uncomfortable place. read more
