Edamame app and wine - dug right into the sushi before taking a photo lol

Quick service. The sushi was great. Not from the area so did a Yelp search and got what we were looking for. Staff was attentive as well.

I just came back from moving away and I am quickly reminded why I love this place! High quality sushi and very kind hosts.

These guys really enjoy their job. It shows in the work they do and the time they take to make each roll perfect .

I always love coming to this place. Although the decorations are a little outdated and the outside could use a little cleaning, the comfort inside, and the friendliness of the bartender, and the delicious food always makes me regret not coming here more often. I had a Christmas Roll today which was quite delicious. I like a little more crunch on my Crunchy roll's, but what they had was actually nice and light. I have attached two photos below of some of the craft work that these chefs put together. This is some quality presentation that you don't even get at some of the more expensive and fancy or sushi restaurants. I do regret that the outside looks as dingy as it does because it really undersells the quality of food you receive inside. Once inside, you can either sit in one of the comfortable boots, at the hibachi grill, at the bar, or right along side of the sushi area. I really like watching the chefs work myself. Although I did not have the hibachi this time, I love the way that they fry their rice. It is super tasty. Their hibachi chefs will put on a fun show for you if you have a group so don't hesitate. This was a nice stop for a Christmas lunch I must say, and it is especially nice because you can sit with a friend and have a conversation over A couple of nice green tea. If you read my reviews, you know that I am a fan of cocktails, and they do have plenty of those, but this was a green tea kind of afternoon on a green Christmas day.

This is the sushi (octopus and shrimp with ginger, wasabi and another thing of sort).

Understand normally I don't order sushi or hibachi style cuisine but tonight I did & now here's the reasons for the score. First initially I ordered a hibachi steak/shrimp meal with rice, noodles and veggies/fruit mix but as I thought it over I figured hey I ordered the first so why not some octopus and shrimp (mind you when you order you can do sushame or sushi variant) and mind you if you order such little note if you want more sushi you must let the place know such (yes I am providing photos). Food was good and yes I admit pricey but worth it.

When we walked in, there wasn't anyone at the front, just a counter and a small table with T-shirts for sale. The kitchen is in the back, and the dining area is off to the left. A friendly waitress came out right away and told us to sit wherever we'd like. The dining room is small, but cozy; about 10 tables. There's also bar-style seating at sushi counter with about 5 chairs. Two sushi chefs were working and chatting with customers. Everyone was super nice, and the vibe was great; hip-hop, R&B, and reggaeton playing in the background. Right up my alley lol. Our waitress was very sweet, attentive, and gave us great recommendations. I ordered the Caribbean roll, and it was phenomenal! Definitely one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. It had a sweet plantain on top and was packed with flavor. I also got a vegetable roll, which was just okay. The place had a chill mix of customers: a family, & some older couples. Overall, great service, good music, and amazing specialty rolls. It's also BYOB (wine and beer only) which is nice. I'll definitely be back to try the ramen next time!

Dropped into Westfield-Barnes (MA) Regional Airport (also a National Guard Base) with a student for fuel and figured we would get a coffee and a quick bite. When I saw their only restaurant served sushi I had doubts. Their food was outstanding. I was initially skeptical so had the shrimp tempura which came with tower of fresh onions and broccoli. The onions were delicious as were the broccoli. The shrimp were very good. ($9). I should have done as my student and ordered a noodle dish. He had the Ramen Bulgogi Special ($18) which was huge and looked delicious with a fried egg floating on top. The location is inside the airport terminal yet decorated like a pub, with a bar and booths overlooking the airfield,, clean and bright. The bar has a nice tap selection though we could not partake. The service is young, polite, and very attentive. Stop by if ever in the area, you will not go wrong.

The price for the all you can eat Japanese BBQ is certainly in my books worth it. Both times, we have left feeling so stuffed but so happy from the food. Within both times going, I think we've tried nearly everything on the menu. The yuzu pork belly, chicken fried rice, oyster mushrooms, and spicy miso chicken are some of our favorites. The only thing missing (I think) would be a nice cocktail to go with the food. Supposedly they are receiving their liquor license within the next few weeks so we will have to go back for that to try some drinks. The decor is pretty standard for a Japanese restaurant, though some of their neon signs are absolutely adorable. The food delivery is real cute, the food comes in this cool box delivered to your table.

This was a great way to spend quality time together. I liked the meat and sushi I had. The portions are small, but you can order unlimited amounts. We had beef brisket, chicken teriyaki, pork belly, sushi, gyoza, shrimp tempura. Ice cream was included, however low quality. The portion size for dessert was perfect after unlimited meats and sushi. I added on the thai tea which was totally worth it. They will remove the boba if you ask. Our server was nice but seemed distracted. Half way through the meal I realized we had never discussed food allergies so I continued to avoid the spices and sauce for the meats. Even sitting near the front door, the atmoshphere was very pleasant. Our server mentioned they will have their liquor license in a few weeks.

Nippon Grill and Seafood Buffet is one of the few buffets that still feels alive. The dining room…read morestays full, the trays move quickly, and the food comes out hot instead of drifting into that tired, lukewarm zone that ruins most buffets. The space itself is well kept and clean, which matters more than people admit. A buffet lives or dies on maintenance, and Nippon shows real discipline in how it's run. It is not perfect, but it gives you real value for the price, and that alone sets it apart in a landscape where many buffets have declined or disappeared. The strength of Nippon is its seafood. They offer baby clams, crayfish, mussels, fish dishes, and soups that are light enough to enjoy without burning out early. These dishes give the buffet a sense of generosity that many places have lost. The sushi is what you expect from a buffet, not a handcrafted experience, but it is fresh enough and replaced often. The hibachi station adds another layer of variety, and the constant movement of the crowd keeps the food cycling at a steady pace. The imperfections are predictable. Some dishes are filler. The room can get chaotic at peak times. A tray might sit empty for a moment before the next batch arrives. None of this is surprising, and none of it ruins the experience. It is simply the nature of a busy buffet that is trying to keep up with demand. There is one piece of advice that makes the difference between a short meal and a long, satisfying one. The worst way to approach a buffet is to load your first plate with dense, heavy foods. You fill up fast and the meal ends before it begins. Nippon rewards a smarter approach. Start with the low volume seafood. Begin with clams, fish, salads, soups, and crayfish. These dishes let you warm up without tapping out early. You can enjoy more of the spread and actually experience the variety that makes the place worth visiting. The truth is simple. Nippon is not trying to be refined. It is a big, lively, well maintained seafood buffet that gives you heat, turnover, and enough range to make the price feel fair. If you approach it with a little strategy, you can feast for a long time and walk out satisfied. I actually love this place.
