On a recent Saturday trek out to Printemps to take advantage of the last days of the soldes I found myself starving to death midway through the walk. How was there nothing open? Not even a bakery, or one of those over-, under-designed expensive health food chains like Cojean? I started to panic. Then, just as I began accepting our worst case scenario (the food stalls at Galeries Lafayette) I noticed a friendly looking awning with a goofy name and glowing lights inside. Salvation! Krêp (I love the name!) is a sit-down or take-away crepe restaurant with an air of Scandinavian chic. The blue and wood design is simple and tasteful and the chalkboard menu filled with many tempting sweet and savory options. The crepes are relatively inexpensive and freshly made right before your eyes. My goat cheese and tomato crepe was crispy on the edges and fluffy on the inside, with a nice crepe to filling ratio. There's also a cute selection of pantry items, like sarrasin flour and cider that you can purchase to go. All in all it was the perfect spot to gather our resources before a few hours of intense bargain hunting, plus a quiet location to feed our little tyke too.

Despite the orgy of crepe places here, I'd still come back, even more for the owner's great service. came here on the last day after checking out nearby, only a 5 min walk from The Grand. Decor-wise, almost un-French like, with this bright blue but I digress. Good selection, in addition to a bit confusing set menus based on colour, but owner patient enough to explain. Before we ordered the sausage-like, he cautioned that it tasted a bit different, and boy, glad that we did. Almost brie-like, liver-like, a combo of both lol. I'm sure it's good to someone who's into it. She still thought it was ok. I just stuck to the safe side, ordered the nutella with banana, what else. Good texture.

Tasty crepes, quick service! Kind employees and the food is made freshly in front of you. Highly recommend the pommes et caramel! Great place for a quick lunch!

Loved the food here. The ham & cheese crepe was awesome. Also enjoyed a Nutella crepe, blueberry crepe and a butter and sugar crepe. All of them were good. Had a nice chat with the guy working as well.

Very nice crepes at a competitive price. You can opt for one of two set price menus, either 9 euros or 11.50 euros (I believe) which offer increasingly complex options for each of two crepes, a savory one (aka a galette) and a sweet one. Both options come with a drink. My sister tried the goat cheese galette and the nutella crepe (the lower priced menu) and I went with the smoked salmon galette and apple crisp dessert crepe. All of them are highly recommended, but my favorite was the smoked salmon.

We popped in for a quick snack and were pleasantly surprised. It's great and cheap. The galettes came out quick and hot and savory.

The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

I admit, I'm not very adventurous with food and don't care for traditional French food, so I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious. My husband, who does enjoy traditional French food, had the cassoulet with beans, sausage, and duck confit. He absolutely LOVED his meal and said it was probably the best meal he had while in Paris. And to complete our meal, we finished off with crème brûlée -- yum! [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; Paris, France]

From the host who greeted me and accommodated my slight tardiness on my reservation, to the server who took my order. The vibes here are immaculate. It's very aesthetic. I would've preferred to be on the 4th floor but the 3rd floor was unique and pretty on its own. The bar was particularly eye catching. I was also very amused by my fish shaped water bottle. Regarding the food, it was really tasty. I was starving this day, and greedily ate the whole thing. The pizza had good flavor and you could taste the fresh ingredients. It was a little floppy as it was thin crust. Unfortunately they didn't cut the slices, so I had to do it myself. Not sure if that's intentional or not. The limoncello was especially refreshing on that hot day. Please note, I did have to request ice for my water. Evidently in Europe most restaurants don't provide ice freely like in the US. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food, the allure of the restaurant, & the customer service. I highly recommend.

My husband ordered the egg and duck confit appetizer which we were initially puzzled as to what to expect but it was DELISH! As was the duck Shepherd's Pie! The service we experienced was exactly what you want... our server had plenty of suggestions based on the offerings of the day. The service was attentive and responsive... not much more than you could ask for. I had the duck breast being offered... it was served alongside crispy potatoes, green beans, and a salad. Adding in the onion soup and a glass of wine... it quickly became a King's dinner at a very reasonable price. I would be more than happy to eat here again and look forward to exploring the rest of the menu offering many local and classic French options.

This place is HEAVEN…read more If I didn't have to count service, they'd get 5 stars. We were really hungry and so excited to find this establishment. Everything looked so amazing, we really had a hard time deciding what to get. Tomato, Onion, Cucumber & Feta Salad (Two Orders) Octopus Salad Vegetarian Stuffed Eggplant Spinach Puff Pastry Stuffed Squid My favorite was the octopus salad, feta cheese salad and vegetarian stuffed eggplant. Everything had really great fresh flavor. The stuffed squid was good, but had more rice filling than I prefer. The spinach puff pastry would be best served right out of the oven, but it had been sitting out for awhile. In addition to prepared foods and salads, they also have grocer items, olives, cheeses and a variety of nuts and bulk items. The prices are based on weight. Overall reasonable since the quality is good. The reason I wasn't pleased with the service is for the following reasons: 1. The employee was very cold immediately upon walking in. 2. Our non-French friend who is currently residing in France, married to a French native and has been learning the language for some time interpreted for us and did all the ordering. The employee was a little critical of how she pronounced things and it really irked me. Also, our friend called the spinach cheese puff pastry (which we are familiar with it being Spanakopita) and she corrected us in a very rude way. 3. The shop was not closed, nor was it going to be closed anytime soon. They have several tables in the back dining room. Nothing fancy, just basic tables and chairs. She wouldn't allow us to sit at the tables to eat our food. She said it was only for "lunch" and at this point it was a little past lunch. Like 2ish. We found this a little odd since no one was occupying the tables. So instead we had to walk around the neighborhood with our bags of food until we could find a bench or table to sit at. Also silly, because we ended up spending so much here. If, I am ever in the area again. I would love to be able to try their spicy octopus salad. I regretted not getting it this time around!
