Burger was awful. The meat was mushy and tasted like it was boiled. I couldn't even finish my food.

My husband ordered the 12 krystal combo and 2 chili pups and was charged $44.00! The chili pups tasted like a cup of salt was in the chili. I'm convinced she over charged us and pocketed the money. Thank goodness we didn't use a cc and paid in cash. Theives!!! read more

Decided to take a drive here for no apparent reason other than to experience the soft beefy greasy goodness of the White Castle of the south. I was pleasantly surprised that on a Tuesday night the drive thru was empty, entirely mine for the taking.... Looked at menu knew what I wanted.... Two double with cheese and four single cheese no mustard. (A New York thing...we don't like mustard on burgers up north ... ketchup. Mustard is for franks, or dogs as some say) Get to window nice gentlemen asks if I want drinks ...no I have beer in a bag next to me... I can see his co worker thru the window assembling the mini squares of beef, American cheese and soft bread.... He stuffs them into their individual boxes with precision and skill. Making sure to get that little bit of juice from the burgers onto the side of the box, and on top of the buns.... I take the bag and head back to my abode of three days... enroute I sample one of the singles.... Fresh. .... I want to chug a beer but I'm driving so I wait.... I LOVE KRYSTAL. This is a treat when I visit from NH to FL so anytime I can get food from here, I am happy. My brother can slam about 15 of these mini burgers in one sitting. We went through the drive-thru for 10 burgers & 10 chicken sandwiches. Then, another box full of burgers for my brother. We took them by surprise with such a large order, but they were nice about it. They asked that we pull into a parking spot while they worked on our order. I loved the consistency of our order. Though it was a large amount of food, they did not skimp on the quality. I cannot speak to the ambience because we used the drive-thru, but the outdoor property was clean & neat. I've been a few times, only once was it ok. Normally it takes about 20 minutes to go through the drive through. Today the food was the final straw. The hamburger meat was burnt and I couldn't bite into it. The hotdogs on the chili pups were GREEN!!!!! We ordered 4 of them and they were all green! How could they serve that! I had to throw everything I ordered away nothing was edible. I googled why would a hot dog be green? It's is bacteria spoilage!!! Food was cooked to order fresh and uniquely Krystal. I have been eating these since I was a kid and drove about an hour to get to this location because of the reviews The employees were exceptional. A mistake was made on our order but it was quickly and professionally corrected. The nice young woman at the counter was especially kind when my grandson was making a lot of noise. I haven't been in a Krystal in 15 years. I passed one in northeast Orlando recently and decided to stop in. At first, I thought the staff had been abducted. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, seemed to be present. Finally another guy who came in, along with me, "knocked" on the counter to see if anyone was at home. An aggressively burly woman came out of the back, telling (not asking) us to be patient, as she would "be with [us] in a moment." Finally our orders were taken. I ordered four Krystal hamburgers, a medium order of fries, and a bottled water and cup of ice. Then I waited ... and waited ... and waited some more: seriously, at least 12 minutes for this simple order. I believe this woman was working alone. I neither saw nor heard evidence of anyone else present. I understand the current situation with people not working, restaurants understaffed, and so on. But still ... one person working alone?? Finally the food came out. It smelled good and I was excited to try this "cuisine" for the first time in 15 years. I went to my table, opened the burgers to add a dash of pepper and mustard ... and what I saw nearly made me puke. These burgers had barely touched the grill. They were raw, hard, and cool to the touch. And slathered with grilled onions. Not just slathered, but totally covered. I'll let the photos speak for themselves. This was beyond gross. I have been a White Castle fan for years. We would stop and grab a dozen on our way back from Long Island. We decided to give Krystal Burger a try because we were feeling some Cheeseburger Sliders. We found a location near us off Curry Ford, and placed an online order for pickup. The ordering process was easy enough, and the order was made promptly. When we got our order the food was obviously not fresh, and must have sat under a heat lamp for hours. The options we chose online were not followed because my wife doesn't like mustard or pickles, yet all the burgers had it. The staff was pleasant but definitely came off overwhelmed. In the end the food tasted ok, not as good as White Castle in my comparison. If your in the mood for an inexpensive greasy slider then give it a try. read more

With that being said, I am a fan of Krystal's (though honestly, being from the northeast, I prefer White Castle). These little sliders have finished many an evening on the town for me, one last stop before heading home to grab a quick late night bite. I recommend a visit here. I had eaten at a location near downtown Orlando a year ago and wasn't impressed with the food or service. This store got my business today because I missed my turn and didn't feel like backtracking. Their window shield on the cash registers looks like its never been wiped down and has covid all over it. The tops of their menu's behind the counter have layers of thick dust on the top of it. I've spoken to the manager on a few occasions to fix the issues we have had and today it was fixed. The manager has been great in trying to bring the store back to life. This is one of the only krystals left in Orlando. Tonight I walked in explained I had spoke with her to the on duty manager, she made a quick phone call and verified my name. Here's the full story. My fiancée and I just moved from Fort Myers to Orlando. FM has no Krystal's, so the closest thing we've had to burgers like these are frozen White Castle's from the store. So when we saw the Krystal's here, we've been anxious to try it. We got coupons in the mail, and used a great one, "two can dine for $9.99" where we get 10 Krystal's and two medium fries and drinks- and we also got an extra large fry, because we're two hungry individuals. We went through drive though. The speaker box needs to be updated, I could barely understand anything the man was saying. But the guy at the window was nice and we got our 10 Krystal's just about a minute after. We were asked to pull over to the side for the fries, which was fine because that meant fresh fries which makes us happy campers. The crappy thing was, we sat in the car for nearly 15 minutes. We went inside and said that we went through drive and have been waiting on the fries for about 15 minutes to which the employee said "Oh dang" and ran to the back. He compensated by giving us 3 large fries instead of the 2 medium and 1 large, followed by an apology. So that was cool. Also, while we were in the car, I watched a small line at the counter go unnoticed and unhelped during almost the entire 15 minutes of us sitting there. And the menu board was a little confusing. It was hard to understand the pricing for single items and combos etc. So the burgers were okay, I'd give it a 3/5. Fries are good but needed more salt for my taste.
