Went through drive thru last night about 9:50pm and to start the nightmare the person on the speaker kept handing me off to another person who could not get a simple 5 Krystals, fries and diet coke. Said first did not have a medium size drink only small and large so I elected large. Asked me over and over as I repeated add ketchup to all burgers. Got to window and they processed my credit card and then we waited, waited and waited. The line accumulated around the building was ridiculous! Finally got the order the burgers were ice cold through and through. Of course did not check them until I pulled up. Had to trash all the burgers as they seemed to be unsafe. The people in that store seemed to be so high they were just walking around in circles. I understand hiring is a issue with all fast food these days but this is not the business I grew up loving for over 60 years. Very disappointing! read more

Ok so I waited in line at the speaker and we asked what we wanted and the guy who was working tonight was like hold up and it took about 6 minutes and we left and when we drove off we saw the drive thru inside of the store of no people working at all so I don't like this and worse store ever. I've been craving for Krystal burgers for about a month and finally found the time to visit for lunch with a girlfriend. Come to found out, she never had a Krystal burger since she moved to Jax so this is her first time. For this location, located on the busy Atlantic Blvd surrounded by dealerships so it could get busy at times. Luckily, we came in a perfect time where it wasn't so we were greeted by the cashier. She was very sweet and nice to us and the ladies working were also very nice. My friend ordered the Bacon Cheese Krystal's meal with an Oreo milkshake and I ordered five (5) original Krystal burgers with a large fries and strawberry milkshake. There was a promo of 5 Krystals for $3. Lots a food under a budget :) We sat down and about 5-7 minutes later, the nice lady handed our trays and we ate. For my Krystals, great taste and always loved the finer chopped onions with the one pickle slice and mustard. The meat was cooked well with that nice greasy juice soaked into the buns, which I believe makes it tastier. The fries were warm/hot. The strawberry milkshake, on point and loved it! At the end of the meal, we were stuffed and so full. For a small burger the size of your palm, it does fill you up fast! Overall, I enjoyed it. read more

I went to this Krystal yesterday and ordered a sack of 12Cheeseburgers. When I got home and opened the bag I found 12 burgers each in a cheeseburger marked box. Only problem is there was no cheese. This seems to be more and more of a scam by fast food. Leave off an ingredient to save money. Be assured, I will never darken the door of Krystal in Jacksonville again. read more

Krystal has so much potential. Their burgers are great when they come out hot and fresh. But the little things kinda wear away some of the excitement for it. Today I got my order pretty quickly with only a slight delay (the cashier also had to handle drive thru orders). But some people in line were visibly feeling impatient. The restaurant is small and could use some updating so it doesn't look so worn out. And the staff looks tired and maybe even unhappy. But again, I like their burgers and wish they could make some improvements to brighten up the place so I can come back more often. read more

Drive up and told online orders take priority and it would be a 15 minute wait....horrible business with horrible people.

I would chose No Stars if option. Drive thru window was told 10-15 minute wait on krystal burgers, agreed and placed order. At window, asked if possible to receive complimentary drink for wait. Cashier came back to window and advised they "they do now have those drinks." I advised you don't have complimentary drinks? She gets I assume was manager who advised they cannot give out drinks for the wait as I agreed to wait for the food. I simply advised that's good customer service and that's what most good restaurants would do to keep customers satisfied. I advised never mind and waited for food and wrote this review. The funny thing is I haven't had Krystal in over five years and finally craved it but this experience (I only need one bad experience) is my last with Krystal. Btw: I'm assuming a working that's off from work was getting drinks in a bag pack with a sleeveless dirty barely white tshirt but I couldn't get a complimentary drink as a paying customer? Umm... Okay, I rarely give one star reviews but this place deserves it. I have had Krystal several times in my Life and it has never been as bad as tonight. I paid $15 for a 12 pack burgers w chili cheese fries and half gallon of coke. I had it delivered. They didn't add the chili cheese so I got a huge plate of soggy, greasy fries. The coke was almost clear... like they had no syrup in there. The burgers were fine. I will never ever use this Krystal again. read more

I was a bit nervous coming to Jacksonville: this is my first time meeting the bf's extended family and even he hasn't seen this side of the family in over a decade. Right after his uncle picked us up at the airport at 11pm, he says: "I'm taking you guys to Krystal to get some sliders and then we're drinking at home." Junk food for late night eats AND we're getting wasted?! Oh, I LOVE him already!! Conveniently located 3 miles from the airpot on Atlantic Blvd, you can't miss the big Krystal sign but if you're coming from the airport like we were, you have to do a U-turn. We bought a dozen of the original Krystal burgers. Apparently, these burgers have been famous since 1932! The steamed buns are nice and soft, a thin slice of beef patty, relish and melted cheese. OMG. The perfect snack! These are great for sharing (or not!) with friends and family. If you can tear yourself away from these awesome sliders, maybe you'll notice the "adult toy store" across the street?? =P read more

I passed the Krystal's at the beach while out running errands. 20 minutes later I ended up getting gas next door to this one and decided to cure my craving. I thought I'd save time by hitting the drive thru. Wrong! I waited for nearly 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. Uggh! Obviously by then I knew what I wanted. 40 seconds later I'm at the window to pay and get my food. How did they have my order wrong in 40 short seconds, lol? No, I didn't have any fries. I pay, get my 2 burgers and drink and drive off. Of course I'm 2 blocks away, reach in the bag to grab a Krystal burger, take my first bite and reach back in the bag for a napkin. This place is the worst customer service! I waited 20 minutes for a number one my order came out wrong. The manager is rude and disrespectful to customers and when I complained she told me sarcastically to have a nice day. I won't revisit this location or the brand anytime soon. read more

When ordering online they have an option to leave a tip. You then prepay. When you get to the location within your timed pickup, they only begin preparing your order, even though it's prepaid. They have you pull forward in the drive thru and wait. When they finally bring out your order, it's missing items and you have to jump through hoops and their rudeness to get what you ordered. This Krystal is the smallest I've seen. If a large family or group of friends visited the place would be full. Plenty of parking though. I've visited a few times in the past. Always friendly and fast which is one of the reasons you come here. This visit had a few homeless people hanging out and coming in & out to use the restroom. They were down to cash only as credit cards were down. Then they lost all gas to their cooktops and fryers. Luckily they got my order done. All the employees and manager were very apologetic and even gave out free Krystal's for the trouble. I love the Krystal's with cheese and their Krystal chicks are awesome too. They have expanded the menu with milkshakes and of course chili cheese fries and Krystal pups (hot dogs) and even wings. The new Lemonhead slushee tastes just like the candy. TIP: sign up for text specials. I got the Lemonhead Slushee for free. I also got an entire meal with drink and fries for under $4. If you want quick, cheap meal on the go with friendly service and plenty of choices this is a good choice. Great for kids!!! read more

I would not recommend this Krystal, I ordered 5 Krystal Chic's and a Large Fry. Once I paid for my order, I noted that I was charged full price for the 5 Krystal Chic's, even though their menu states 5 for $5.55. When I questioned the employee about the price she stated that you had to specify the 5 for $5.55. Also Large fries received was only half full of fries. When you go thru the drive thru, it seems that the employee never repeats your order back to you and usually does not acknowledge that they received your order. read more

Burping up stuff that taste like your those burger little square hunks steamed bun and a sliver of what they call hamburger. Is it ? that is the true question. I guess it is like McD's and their 100% beef burgers. They just don't tell you that they named the company of which they buy their burgers from 100% beef. So the question looms on is it beef or is it a processed something. I'm going with the latter. But that doesn't change things when you have to you just have to.
