Came here for brunch and had one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. The perfect hint of truffle and fluffy eggs. I was disappointed that they have no espresso options for coffee as I really enjoy coffee for brunch but I'll definitely come back for more. They are located on the second floor on a very cozy space and our server was great!
Had only been to Krüs once before, but I can officially say I need to come at least once or twice a month. I'm obsessed with this sunny, gorgeous little spot! Met up with a friend for brunch yesterday and it totally blew me away again. Everyone who works here is incredible--warm, knowledgeable about both the food and wines, and (let's be honest) very attractive. We decided to share a bottle of wine and a few small plates. Our waiter suggested we go for at least four to feel full, so we did: * DAYS CATCH CEVICHE (coconut leche de tigre, pickled mango, grilled pineapple, plantain crisp) - Fresh, bright & perfectly balanced. The grilled pineapple took it to new ceviche heights! * FARM SALAD (little gem, sungold tomatoes, pickled radish, mustard seed dressing) - ALWAYS order a salad here. They are absolute perfection! * GRILLED OYSTER MUSHROOMS (parmigiano, poached egg, pickled beech mushrooms) - Where has this decadent, dreamy dish been all my life?!? Gorgeous and rich and just... wow. & for dessert: * FRENCH TOAST (confit pears, chantilly, maple syrup, cognac) Perfect way to end a perfect meal! This place is truly something special. My only note--and this is on me for not mentioning it sooner--is that the all-glass ceiling can make it very warm in the middle of a Miami afternoon (especially for women of a certain age, lol). Next time, I'll ask for a table off to the side rather than dead center. Other than that? Krüs is easily one of my current top choices. Love love LOVE this place.
Krus Kitchen is a local gem. The presentation, the flavors, the utmost care they take of each plate is phenomenal. The restaurant is small and yes, it's definitely on a higher price range but this place is for experience. It doesn't cater to a specific cuisine and takes inspiration from everything. It's on a really busy street in Coconut Grove with a high competition from so many restaurants around and this place stands out. I went on a Sunday early dinner. Only a couple of tables were occupied. It's on the floor above Los Felix and you actually have to go through that Mexican restaurant to take stairs to Krus. But as soon as you step in, the vibe changes completely. Floor to ceiling wine racks, cozy lights and an open kitchen make this place trendy rather than a quiet classic restaurant. I felt the volume could be reduced a bit to make it even more comfortable to have a date night conversation. I had read about the smoked coconut rice but when it came out it was nothing like I ever experienced. It's a very delicate sweetness added to basmati rice and a slight juicy crunch from the trout that brought the flavor out of the crab meat. The saffron custard added a creamy layer to smooth it out. Ravioli was filled with Italian cheese and tossed with a tonne of hazel nuts. There was a slight drizzle of chimichuri as well but the flavor that was strongly coming from was the thyme oil. For dessert I initially was going for Parsnip sundae but after the amount of hazelnut I ate for entree, I wanted to try a different flavor. My waiter, Kat suggested the burrata ice cream and it had black garlic I never tried before. It had an umami flavor and that was a unique taste for me. The butter cookie was salty and it reminded me a bit of peanut butter cookie. But without the crunch. Surprisingly the milk merengue was crunchy. The host, my server(Kat) and the rest of the staff did an amazing job explaining each dish and allowed me to really get to know the dish not only before ordering but also during and after. They really cared about the experience they were giving. The plates are small but definitely not tapas style. They don't have validated parking but there is metered parking and there are garages in the area.
Easy 5/5. Everything about Krus Kitchen is amazing - the food, the atmosphere, and the service. Krus is in the heart of Coconut Grove, on the second floor, up a stair case; Los Felix is on the first floor. The moment you reach the top of the staircase, you're greeted by a welcoming, intimate space, full of bursting plants, books, wine bottles, and cool objets'. The building clearly has a history, which I asked about but no-one knew. Most importantly, our food was amazing, starting with the porcini sourdough, Day's catch crude, and burrata. The tagliatelle was unbelievable, as was the ravioli! Diego, our server, was very helpful, and suggested great wines by the glass, including a Nebbiolo for the grass-fed oxtail and smoked beef hearts, and a sauv blanc for the ravioli. As 2024 ends, I can confidently say that (Michelin Bibb Gourmand rated) Krus Kitchen was one of the best meals I've had all year in a strong list of great eating establishments and experiences.
The food was absolutely incredible and nothing like i've ever tried before. It was truly such a unique and flavorful experience that I highly recommend to everyone. The menu changes seasonally, so I will definitely be back in the summer! The service was top-notch and the ambiance was the perfect intimate yet trendy vibe. They have a Michelin Green star and it shows!!
This was the more fine dining level of the two restaurant concept. The staff, as usual were friendly and kind. The ambiance was really nice and nostalgic (I'm from the 80's so I appreciate this style). The food was where they lacked in earning a 5. Here's why: temperature and timing. The concept is sharing and it started off well until we got to the main course dishes. The dishes was over 20 minutes apart. We just kept waiting for the second dish to arrive and that delay was strange for pasta. We thought that would've arrived before the coconut rice (which was flavorful and delicious), but it didn't. Therefore, the rice dish was cold and room temperature, and when the pasta arrived it was great with temperature. I thought it could've been more al dente, but it was bursting with flavor and made up for the time. We had the Caesar salad as a starter and that was delicious. The dessert stole the show and definitely needs a spotlight. We would go again to try the oxtail pasta and pork. Loved supporting local. Enjoy!
This spot has instantly become my newest obsession. I came here yesterday for a casual lunch/brunch with my friend and was surprised I hadn't been here before. Located in the second floor of Coconut Groves Los Felix concept, Krüs Kitchen's seasonal menu is everything you want and more. I don't know if it was the natural lighting from their high ceilings or the amazing service but the vibes here were just immaculate. We ordered a few different things our server recommended and they were all a hit. Not one thing was a disappointment. I loved the explosion of flavors the ceviche had, the freshness the quinoa salad brought in each bite and the elevated touch on a classic like their egg sandwich and brioche bread had. They just get it -- and sometimes that's hard to make sense out of. I love it here, I can't wait to go back and try out everything on their menu.
The second floor feels like a roof top garden in France, the servers are pleasant and accommodating. The food and drink is presented perfectly with every little focused tough to detail and presentation. The food was flavorful and looked like a picture in a magazine.
I've recently discovered Krus Kitchen and fell in love with it from the first visit. The staff were really friendly and attentive, and we could feel they truly cared. The food just blew my mind; each dish was a surprising experience. The Caraflex Cabbage had two startling sauces: tarragon-black tea emulsion and caramelized oats. It had everything--smokiness, sweetness, and spiciness--to make your taste buds go nuts. The Smoked Coconut Rice goes on my fav dishes ever list. The portion was very decent, and I was shocked at such a moderate price for a dish with crab and trout roe. Totally worth trying. I think Ravioli was the dish that surprised us the most. The flavor is so layered and opens gradually, starting with tangy parmigiano espuma, going to the neutral ravioli shell, and finishing with a burst of smoked koginut squash. We also tried the brunch, and I would advise trying the Pastrami Sandwich with amazing chili & ginger sauce and a river of melted gouda. Farm Salad is a nice addition and super refreshing. Lobster Rolls were not my thing. The size was pretty small, and there was too much mustard aioli that fully outshined the lobster. I love the interior of Krüs; it's hidden above Los Félix, so the place is much more peaceful and quiet. You can even come here for brunch without a reservation. I'm also a fan of the ceiling window and plants, which make the room look like a greenhouse. I can't wait to come back
I was so so so happy to finally check out Krus. I sampled some of their food when they collabed with Lucali for race week and have been thinking of their oyster mushrooms ever since. The space is really dreamy for a date. I like the sharing concept. I enjoyed the buratta with pickled cantaloupe as it was quite refreshing and unique. The oyster mushrooms were just as wonderful as I remember. The angolotti was good but I'm not sure I'd get it again. I loved the broth, but I found the filling to be too smoky for my personal taste. We unfortunately had an issue with our fresh catch. It was so tough that we could hardly cut it. We begrudgingly sent it back and after it was refired, we had the same issue. We couldn't eat it. I do think I'd come back. I'd like to try some of the other pastas and the crudo, and the service was really nice.
This review is for the brunch at Krus, which is absolutely excellent. It's so hard to pick a spot to eat in the grove these days as there are TONS of amazing local options. We opted for Krus last Saturday and loved it. It's the tiny second story of Los Felix, so definitely make a reservation as there is limited seating. First of all, this spot is beautiful. There is a lot of natural lighting and the walls are lined with wine, both of which are some of my favorite things. Our server suggested a few things on the menu and we opted for Miso Brioche, Bacon, the Pastrami sandwich and the grilled oyster mushrooms. What I loved about this menu is that it is so unique. While there no shortage of spots in the Grove to grab brunch, there is no menu like Krus in the 33133. I like that they have something for everyone - if you want eggs and more breakfasty things, you can find it here alongside heartier lunch style items such as their burger, and coconut rice. Another thing I loved about Krus is that they are very caviar happy. Add caviar or uni to your omelette, add it to your poached mushrooms, find trout roe in your lobster salad. I love to see it. I also want to return for their egg sandwich, because it has Bottarga in it and not enough places serve bottarga in this city. We washed everything down with a Vermentino and a Beer - both delish. Our server was super nice, and the ambiance is perfect for a tasty and innovative brunch. I cannot wait to return!
Amazing!!!! Costumer service, our waitress was amazing and explained the menu so well and had great recommendations. My elderly grandma had trouble going up the stairs so they gave us a complimentary sour dough plate for our starter, such a great attention to detail. The food was so good and all the flavors mixed together so beautifully. Will definitely be back to try the upcoming seasons menus.
What a nice surprise to find out we'd booked a table on "Wine Wednesday!" Cheers to half price bottles! Even without that fantastic discount, Krüs more than earned its 5 star rating. The service felt relaxed but our server was incredibly attentive and the food?? Fantastically fresh and delicious. We started with the sourdough which was still steaming when it arrived at our table. The roasted artichokes were served on an avocado puree that was creamy & flavorful. My hubby's fav of the night was the oxtail tagliatelle - and it's hard to decide which was better the sauce or the perfect fresh pasta. But, my fav were the scallops. The egg yolk emulsion, fresh peas, and pickled green almonds meant I was spooning that leftover sauce into my mouth long after the scallops were gone! I couldn't leave a drop behind. Such a delicious meal!

Though this place is smaller than I was expecting is still comfortable and nice. It is located at the second floor of Los Felix in Coconut Grove. We order the egg sandwich, nothing special. Just a sandwich with eggs and avocado. We didn't feel the truffled sauce/oil that our server told us that comes with it. Then we ordered the smoke coconut rice. This was the star of the day! Great combination of flavors with the crab, cilantro sauce and chives. It was really good. 100% recommended. It is a small plate. So, if you are hungry, you will need to order something else. We also ordered the hamburger. It was good but for a 28 dollars hamburger I would expect something else. We finish with a very good dessert, the olive oil cake with ice cream, natural raspberries and blueberries. Amazing! Really good. The 3 stars is because of the prices. I think that is a little bit expensive for what you get and the service was average. Hope the can continue improving. read more

Interesting place, the upstairs seating with a skyline is much nicer than the downstairs area. Delicious, old school fare with an innovative twist, great ingredients and presentation. I really enjoyed my agave Bellini. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating, the only minus is that the individual dishes come out too far apart of each other. read more
Small, quaint restaurant in Coconut Grove with interesting dishes. Each dish was filled with unique and different flavors. I ordered the Krus Bread, Grilled Okra, Oyster Mushrooms, Smoked Coconut Rice, Agnolotti, and Chitarra. The Grilled Okra, Oyster Mushrooms, and Agnolotti were my favorite dishes of the night. I would recommend ordering the Agnolotti if you enjoy a smoky flavor. The service was good and the food is very fresh. Overall, good experience. read more

Such a vibe. My friend and I had reservations for an early dinner before catching a Heat game. Restaurant was virtually empty at this time, though it was perfect to take in the ambience and watch the sun set out through the vast windows. Both the chef and owner came out to explain the food as well as check up and converse with us. This definitely elevated the experience. Really appreciated that. The owner also explained how several of the ingredients were sourced. We could tell how much effort was put into the restaurant as a whole. The coconut rice was my absolute favorite - it's light yet hearty. Classy yet comforting. Did not even snap a picture of it because it was cleared in a hot second. The staff at Krus took such good care of us that anything could have tasted good. Luckily, the flavors match the aesthetics. Even more so, I can see why they have a Michelin Bib Gourmand. read more

Cool spot. It gets a lot of foot traffic. So the concept is interesting as there are two places in one. So we decided on Krus Kitchen. I wouldn't really know how to classify the kind of food they make but it really did t matter. We are wine drinkers so of course we wanted to give one of their natural wines a try. If you are unfamiliar with natural wine, it just means there is nothing added during the production of the wine. So colors of certain kinds of wine you might find peculiar. But all in all they can be very good. We started off with the grilled egg plant. It was not my thing. It wasn't bad at all but my taste buds were not having it. I found it to be on the sweet side which I could attribute to the dates. I do like dates but for me this wasn't working. My wife enjoyed it. We also shared the roasted cauliflower. This was fantastic. It was crunchy and smoky, packed full of flavor. And it was quite the generous helping. Definitely recommend it. Our main dish was the half chicken. Also fantastic. Juicy and delicious. Another hit I would definitely recommend. The staff was friendly. My only complaint was that they seems to disappear on us. They took our order, brought us our wine, brought us some water and then were kind of non existent. It took us a while to get a water refill. The only other staff we saw were the food runners. So, if they could work on that, then they would get 5 big stars from me. read more

Came here for date night with my boyfriend. We loved the ambiance, the tables were lowkey and lit with real candles. For food we started off with the burrata and smoked coconut rice. The burrata came with pickled melon which was a very pleasant surprise. It was delicious! The rice was great, 10/10 recommend. We then had the grilled salad and Tagliatelle. The grilled salad was a little salty but it's normal due to the sardines. The tagliatelle was good. The pasta definitely tastes fresh however, the oxtail seemed to be missing just a tad of salt. We drank Glatzer all night. It's a white wine from Austria. The service was amazing. Our waitress was the best and her attention to everything made the experience even better. 20% gratuity is added on the checks which she and the rest of the team completely deserved. Check this place out! read more

Best meal I have had in Miami. Hands down. the service was wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Each plate we had was perfection. Can't wait to go back and try brunch ....and the rest of the dinner menu read more
This is the place to come if you like unique dishes with distinctive flavors. Everything is small plates. I would suggest two plates per person and share everything so you can try it all. Everything is delicious and unlike anything you've ever tasted before. I tried the burrata, scallops, coconut rice, and cabbage. When each dish is served, they explain all the particular ingredients. Who knew you could make cabbage scrumptious? To drink, I had the amalfi spritz, which was refreshing with just the right amount of kick. To complete our meal, we had to try the bone marrow pudding. It is flambeed at the table, and the flames are then doused with ice cream. I can hardly begin to describe it. You must try it! The service was fantastic and the space is light and airy. The sun streams through the glass rooftop, giving one the feeling of being outdoors while allowing you to avoid that Miami heat. They change their menu on occasion. I can't wait to see what unusual dishes they come up with next! read more

Food was ok, prices were high and we were interrupted at least 3 times so they could grab the wine that is stored next to some if the tables which honestly i found not ok and annoying. Our order - burrata - was really good - crudo- not good at all - coconut rice crab - idea is great but failed execution it was too bland and underwhelming - catch of the day - not much flavor - lamb - along with burrata inly dish I thought was good Overall I am glad I checked it off my list of places but would not come back read more

JUST WOW! You have to come and definitely check this place. It is a very small and cozy restaurant upstairs from Los Felix is. They accommodated our table of 6 people and we were so happy with the service. They took really good care of us. Since we were so many we were able to get the whole menu. Is usually around 2/3 plates per person. And honestly I was just amazed with one plate to another. My ultimate favorite was the burruta and the mushrooms. Please come here. Is about $150 per person I would say. read more
A menu inspired my local catches and seasonal ingredients you won't want to miss. I absolutely loved the squash toast and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Although since it is a seasonal menu I don't know how long it will be available. Which makes every experience here different. Feel free to ask about different wines as they carry a wide variety of delicious unique wines. Sit and eat or take some home with you, I can't wait till they fully open their market and restaurant. read more

Overall a good experience. Staff was polite. However, it got more difficult to get simple things like beverage refills as the meal went on. The food was special and delicate. Vegetables were grown from a local farm. The biggest issue I had was that the Emilian ragu was way too al dente for me. Definitely the firmest and most undercooked noodles I have ever had, not in a good way. So if there was any way to ask for the pasta to be cooked more thoroughly ahead of time, I would think I would have actually enjoyed the dish. But as is at that level of al dente, I would not recommend that dish. The pasta in the agnolotti was also al dente, but not as much as the Emilian ragu pasta. Would also ask for it to be cooked through more of i could do it over again. read more

This approach to find dining has taken a clear stance on their prioritization of what Farm to Table Dining is really all about. We used Resy to secure our table for a weeknight dinner of gourmet dishes unlike anything I've ever tried. We started off with the sourdough bread paired with brown butter and anchovy, black garlic and course salt. All the flavors seemed to truly compliment each other quite interestingly. Then we went with the Day's Crudo with wasabi radish, finger lime ponzu, bonito, and avocado. The vibrant notes of the floral and tangy notes really elevated the texture of the fish and brought out its full flavor profile within each bite. Shortly afterwards, we divulged into the creamy Oyster Mushrooms served with potatoes, red miso, quinoa and green onions. The texture and quality of the mushrooms really showcased their capabilities. Every bite just kept getting better and better. We also split the coconut rice topped with wild-caught crab, cilantro aioli and chives for a texture and taste unlike anything you've ever had. The menu here is no joke so come prepared to order and try creative renditions in a freshly vivid presentation that's sure to catch your attention. Our last entree was the Emilian Ragú made with grass-fed beef cheeks, bone marrow, and parm reggiano. While I do wish it was served warmer-the flavor profiles are intriguing in such a delicate way. For dessert, we had the Seasonal Granita which is shaved ice with star fruit, coconut cream, and canistel. I'm not a dessert person usually but for dining like this-you gotta pull out all the works. I will certainly return with more friends to share these amazing dishes with. Everything was spectacular and I'm glad I came. read more

Great service! Beautiful atmosphere! Came here for lunch and thought my ceviche was one of the freshest and tastiest in Miami! It was a grouper in a coconut milk base with pineapple served with fresh crispy chips. My vegetable sandwich was sooooo delicious! It was filled with thoughtfully cut and roasted veggies with an umami of flavor. Even my carnivorous husband liked it. He ordered the porchetta sandwich and while it was good some bites were better than others. It's really surprising that in Miami, lechón capital, we can't find a place that knows how to perfectly roast pork so that it's juicy on the inside but crispy(not rubbery) outside. It was still good but probably won't order that again. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back! read more

I'm not the best food photographer. I only took these 2 actually cause I wouldn't stop eating. My advice is take the lamb, take the mushroom, the fish crudo is also amazing. The pasta dishes are good but not my favorites. I also recommend the burrata. Service is great, the vibe on the place on a Saturday night was really nice too. Maybe the music is a little too loud. But overall is a great place to hangout. read more

Prior to visiting Krüs Kitchen, i didn't know about this restaurant and didn't know what was about to be introduced to my tastebuds. I was BEYOND IMPRESSED with everything about this spot. Everything was so delicious and FAR from bland. There was so much flavor in each dish which hits you by surprise with each first bite. The menu is more so designed for sharing so i would recommend getting multiple plates and sharing among the party. That way you can try a little bit of everything and introduce new flavors to your palate. Krüs Kitchen gives the vibe of "Smooth Operator" by Sade and makes you feel like you're living in the song. And finally, our waitress was very accommodating because our party consisted of two elderly adults. Our waitress (Nadine) was the best and helped us with everything that my grandmother needed. We left Krüs Kitchen with nothing but full bellies and happy faces. read more
