I like the new Krogers.. its around 6 month old. There is also now a Krogers gas station that you get discounts when you get the savings card. We shop at walmart and Krogers. I feel Kris more expensive but has better quality produce ect. It is all new and clean. read more

I went to Kroger to pick up a a few things and had to check myself out at self check out which I hate doing because if you need anything like an ID check or a price adjustment it's almost a guarantee that you will be there for an extra 10-15 minutes. So I stood there and literally watched one guy chitchat over the divider to a vendor for 5 minutes and then watched another older lady named Charlotte stand there and bag this customers groceries at self check out when I asked her for help she told me I would have to wait. All I needed was a price adjustment so that I could pay for my stuff and leave. I walked over and asked if I could get assistance from the associate who was talking to the vendor and he hesitated then came over to the register I was on and did my ID check and said in the future, ask the person who's working this area to help you then he walked away. I typed in my Kroger number and went to pay when I noticed the item, I was paying for was incorrectly priced and asked for a price adjustment woman working the area. Charlotte told me I would still have to wait so I waited and she finally came over 15 minutes later and told me that she will not do a price adjustment because it is alcohol, when I explain to her that I've never had this problem at this location before or any other location she replied with "I am not touching that I'm not doing that I will not change the price." I kindly asked to speak to supervisor and she walked away, to complain to management that I had requested to speak to some one else. A "manager" named Matthew walked up and when I explained that I've never had an issue in the past and this has happened before and he had a bright yellow sticker back there with the wrong price on it and I would like a price adjustment. He told me that he would not be changing the price that he was sorry I told him I felt as though he was choosing to give poor customer service and that he was thee only "manager" or associate who had ever given me a hard time and refused to honor a price that Kroger was at this point falsely advertising. I will definitely be looking elsewhere to shop (there are unfortunately not very many options for groceries stores out here but I guess Dorthy Lane will be my new market for all my necessities when I'm not at Sam's Club or Costco) I can't not begin to express my frustration and irritation with this store definitely disappointed the staff is rude and the prices are always market from previous sales and need to be adjusted read more

I wanted to take moment and say I had a wonderful experience checking out today. My cashier, Lisa was amazing. It was a pleasant surprise when she literally introduced herself, by name. Then she asked how my day was going and if I found everything I was looking for during my visit. This establishment doesn't care about their customers in the slightest. High prices . Outrages wait lines for just getting grocery's. Nobody cares here. I had to get a prescription filled not .. one .. not two but 6 times my prescription has been late or not ready for uncertain reasons after I have payed online . I have been seeing Kroger ads on tv stating how they are doing their best to serve the community in these "trying times" I no longer live in the area, but as I have family nearby and know the Springboro store well, I sometimes still shop there. Today when I went up to the pharmacy counter, I noticed that at least half of the pharmacy techs had their masks down under their nose which is, of course, useless. The pharmacist himself had no mask. Then, when I proceeded to the check out, I noticed that the belt that propels the groceries forward was absolutely filthy. Not only that, it was covered with cracks and tiny holes, perfect for tiny organisms and bacteria to hide inside. I will no longer be shopping at the Springboro Kroger . read more

Maybe I'm a bit spoiled by the modern feel of the newer Kroger and the huge selection of other Kroger stores, but this location is anything but. It's old, small, and the options are scarce. Although, sometimes small is good. When I need to run in quickly for a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, I don't have to hike a mile through the store. So, in that way, this is a great location. Like other Kroger stores, this one has the convenience of Kroger-click-list and the pharmacy pickup window. It's good for quick trips but I wouldn't do my every week shopping here. This may be the oldest Kroger in existence. You know that saying, "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone"? WELL THAT HAPPENED (sort of). So I must admit, I have been spoiled by the Newport Kroger. Not only is it GINORMOUS but you can buy sheets, puppy pads, organic pomegranates, a fern, and a Chai Tea latte on the way out. Anyway my point being this Kroger has none of that, and I suddenly had an epiphany -- no matter how crazy busy the Newport Kroger gets I will NEVER again complain. We stopped here after a trip up to IKEA and as Ron Burgundy once said, "I Immediately regret this decision!" It's small, it's old, it's dirty and you can tell all of that before you even go in. Enter and you will immediately be transported to 1990. The lighting is yellow, the signage is old cursive maroon colored, the aisles are completely unorganized and they basically have nothing you need if you are trying to eat healthy. Don't come looking for anything exotic either this is a no nonsense bag of oranges and a loaf of white bread kinda place. The deli was horrendous. There were only two people in line and I waited a good twenty minutes before handing my ticket off to my boyfriend to wait because I thought I was going to explode. The guy executing the orders (am I am not exaggerating) was around 75 years old with two hearing aids. The same goes for the check out. The older lady working, bless her heart, apologized several times for how slow the line was and said, "Yep we don't have all the new technology, these machines are always acting up." In a nutshell, this place was a hot mess and now I know how unpleasant grocery shopping can be. If I had to come here on a daily basis I have no idea what I would do. Help this neighborhood and update their Kroger! Easier said, than done I know. But everyone else -- avoid at all costs. read more

Stopped here to relieve myself and fill up on delicious Yuengling. Why 5 stars you ask? They just so happened to have a restroom which was spotless before I visited it: 2 stars. Bathroom is in the way back : -1 star. Had to enter legit grocery tunnel in order to find the bathroom: 1 star. Had delicious Yeungling: 2 stars. "But Zac! That's only 4 stars!" You're absolutely correct you beautiful Yelper! Contrary to what previous reviewers wrote I found the food handlers to be extremely sexually attractive. 10/10, would let handle my food: 5 stars. It's the best grocery store with everything I need for a fair price. It's not flashy or interesting, but very solid. There are few frills and not much to get excited about beyond a normal grocery store, and that's perfectly fine. It doesn't need to be interesting. It needs to be functional, and it achieves that in spades. It's A-OK in my book. read more

This is an older Kroger without the newer fancy packaging. If low prices and processed food are what float your boat, go for it. Seems like two Krogers in Springboro is too much. People love low priced food so maybe it works for the masses. read more

Kroger has the best produce and meat. They are always well stocked on all items. The staff is very friendly to all their shoppers.

I don't recommend this location. Is in serious need of a remodel. Bakery has very limited selection. Atmosphere is dingy. Go to the Kroger in Austin Landing. It is a much better experience. read more

This may not be the biggest or the newest but I definitely prefer this older store to the new ones at Austin Landing or Middletown! Need anything -- their EXTREMELY HELPFUL staff is always there with a smile and point out the item you can't find or have it special ordered for you. The pharmacy staff CANNOT be beat as well. Their low prices and good selections on almost everything throughout the store will keep me being a very happy customer! read more
