I've been shopping at this location for the last 10+ years. I don't know who the store manager is at the moment but they have run this place down. This week I bought: * rancid feta cheese, yet it was completely sealed with a best by date of Feb 2025. (I think with the recent rearrangement of produce they let their cheese section go bad/ didnt do quality control) * stale choc chip cookies that should have been marked down with manger's special price sticker And last week my parents had to return bad sausage that was "fresh" but upon coming home saw the casing was swelling up as if it was bad. Parking is crazy! I shop here often. They're not always well stocked & I have to go to another Kroger store to get what I want. Still, it's a decent store with helpful employees. I'll continue to shop their sales. read more

Kroger should be investigated for their price gouging.Their greed knows no bound. Ive seen Kroger sell Pepsi 2 ltrs for $2.99 while Walmart sells them for $1.78. There's many, many more examples of this. Don't be a chump for Krogers greed. read more

Whoever the manager of this Deli, should be fire. In fact if you look deeper I think they may find the store manager is to blame for allowing such bad customer service. The department doesn't answer the phone and and when they do they after 4-5 minutes (sometimes never) they always have an excuse as to why they can't assist. We have ordered from this store for 10+ years and over the last several months had to started ordering our cheese trays from somewhere else because of it. I know Kroger could care less but at some point they will. read more

There is good and bad to be had at this establishment. If everywhere I have been, I saw more adamant violators if the mask requirement when I was here. However..the staff has always been more then kind and polite to me. As I checked out on Monday, not only did I have one bagger who I can only characterize by his longish hair, and Josh; his buddy who came over to help. The reason the my stuck in my head is the teenager with the long hair made a comment to me when I finished unloading my cart. He looked me in the eye and said "thank you for coming in tonight". When is the last time someone...anyone...thanked you for coming in? This was not the owner, not a manager...but just a very polite bagger. World would be a better place if more of us treated each other like that. read more

Actually I am more amazed than a fan. Step aside Wegman's. This was the biggest supermarket I've ever been in. Here's how big: they have a furniture department. In a freakin' grocery store. But wait. Friendly employees for the most part. They usually have the items that I'm shopping for, sometimes stuff is moved around and that's where the "friendly for the most part" comes in I've had nice employees and then I've had employees look at me as if I have ruined their day by asking if they know where something is. The store is always clean. Bakery and Deli are always good. I don't know if this will help or not but if you have anxiety go really early or really late because this location is always busy. read more

This is for the Starbucks inside of this Kroger! This is the closest Starbucks to my house and I love the girls that work there! Well all except one that usually works weekends. Heidi. Anyway other than her all of them are friendly and always helpful! They make me feel welcome even though they are in a hurry! I am blessed to get my mid day coffee here! This is another middle-of-the-road Kroger. It has a Starbuck and a fuel station which is why I stopped here. As I ordered my drink, I noticed that the sore was clean and had a good selection of produce for a smaller (but not small) Kroger store. read more

Of all the big box grocery stores left in Middletown, this is my go-to place. As the other reviews have stated, it is huge. Whether I need groceries, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, or bath and body goods, I can get anything I need. They have a great amount of wines and alcohol stocked and their marketplace/deli has an overwhelming selection of products. I really enjoy getting my seafood (including crab cakes) from their seafood deli as it is always a good quality. Their prices are competitive with every other chain grocery store. They have a good, inexpensive store brand or high quality, more expensive brands, and everything in between. There is a Starbucks in the store, a gas station outside, and they have a really good salad bar by the deli, so it makes it a nice place to go to for my work lunches. And is it CLEAN. The floors, shelves, and products are always shining and there is never anything fallen or blocking the walkways. Pretty much the only thing that will block you is all the other people shopping there. No matter how busy they seem to be, I rarely ever have had to wait to check out. They have multiple way of checking out which include plenty of cashiers at open lanes, 8 self check-outs, and the Scan-Bag-Go system. Checking out has never been a problem for me and the cashiers/baggers are always nice. When I'm there later in the night, many 3rd shift stockers have asked me if I needed help. This small amount of genuinely kind customer service actually took my by surprise the first time it happened because this does not even occur at the other Middletown grocery stores. It doesn't happen during the day when they are more busy, but if I cannot find something I'm not afraid to stop someone since all the staff I've come across and pleasant and helpful. My only complaint would be that it can get hard to find a specific item, especially when I'm not sure what area it could be located in, and I'll have to hunt someone down to ask if it's in the middle of the day. Still, the friendly staff during all times of day, cleanliness, quality, and other high standards that this Kroger's seems to hold make it far outshine any other place I could do my shopping at. read more

This Kroger location is huge! I recently did some grocery shopping here for a family member and was amazed at how much they had to offer. A clothing section in Kroger? Who knew!? Starbucks inside! Fresh sushi available at the sushi bar near the deli. The staff seemed a little exhausted last week during the holiday rush. They weren't the friendliest bunch of people, but managed to be very efficient at check-out. Plenty of parking available. Kroger fuel on site as well. read more

I live in Monroe and we have our own Kroger but this is my go to one! It is huge, they have a great selection, and the people all seem friendly. They just did an update a few moths ago and redecorated and it looks nice. Also they have a Starbucks so you can't go wrong with Korger! read more

No body working here has any idea where anything is. I once asked an employee where I could find lemon juice for cooking salmon. He said "I think it's by customer service," then he walked away. Why in the world would lemon juice be anywhere near customer service which is located on the opposite side of the store from the food. I've had multiple other experiences with this same problem here too. Very annoying! read more

Ok this review is actually about the little clinic in Middletown! I went in there to get a typical work physical! The lady took my paper and said she couldn't sign it without a Tb test! I explained a Tb test is part of their hiring practices but no she said again I couldn't sign it! I called my employer and they said exactly what I told her! So I stormed out of there called my family doctors office and they filled out the form as needed! I want to know where krogers gets off charging nearly as much money as a doctor for a nurse practitioner? read more

This is my go-to grocery store. I used to run in almost every night after work to grab dinner items, now I go once a week for my shopping. The store is always pretty busy, especially on the weekends, but I tend to go in the later evenings on the weekend to skip dealing with the crowds. I can get almost everything I need in one stop. They have a gas station, Starbucks, pharmacy, and they have clothing and shoes as well that are very stylish. The store is super clean, and the shelves are always stocked well. They have a kiosk in the front doors where you can order deli items, that way you get a lot of shopping done as opposed to waiting in line at the deli. I also love the scan and go option. You can scan and bag your groceries as you go, then check yourself out at the self check out. It's super convenient for me, I use it weekly. The employees are always very helpful and friendly, almost all of them will give you a smile and hello and ask if you need any help. Kroger also sends great coupons, including free items, you can also download coupons to your Kroger card to use, and there's always a Friday freebie! The only gripe I have is that occasionally when I have coupons and need the person at the self checkout, they tend to be somewhere else or talking and you have to grab their attention. read more
