Decent Kroger. I've noticed that their prices are higher than a lot of other grocery stores but the produce is worth it.

I feel like I live in this place. I mean who doesn't, right? There is always that call at work,…read more"Mom, bring some milk home" or "Mom, there's nothing here to eat" even when you just did the weekly shopping. When there are kids, a husband, pets and visitors, there is always a need for food. I drive past a Walmart (which I hate) and even another big named grocery store to get to this Kroger, but I wouldn't have it any other way. They are close, friendly, clean and always have the best selection in the produce department, large selection of pre-made foods (not the frozen processed stuff) and are quick to get customers checked out. Even though it's huge and you might get your daily workout in just going from one end of the store to the next, they always have what I'm looking to bring home. To make the grocery store experience even better, Kroger started doing what they should have done a long time ago--- making fresh, health foods be the next "in" thing again. They developed these "box meals" called Prep & Pared. They are meals that are in a box, with the ingredients all cut up, cleaned, measured and ready to go. The only thing you have to do is follow the instructions and in about 10-30 minutes, you have a healthy, fresh and homemade meal without preservatives. This is the second meal we have tried. The box feeds two people--- no leftovers. This particular meal was Bacon & Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken. When I read the ingredients, it didn't sound too bad. The prep and cook time was 20 minutes and it had 510 calories per serving. The box cost $14- still cheaper than going out to eat. The box contained the following: * four strips of bacon * 8 oz of diced chicken breast * a bag of broccolini * 1/2 cup of chopped radishes *1 1/2 cup of wheatberries 2 packets of Dijoin Mustard 2 small packets of honey The only thing I had to provide was a skillet, knife, salt, pepper and a little bit of water. That's it. 20 minutes later, dinner was served. When I put the meal in the bowls, it looked so festive, but did it taste good? Yes, it did. I've never had wheatberries before, but found that I liked them. My husband liked the bacon and chicken and the honey mustard flavor. So, would I buy another boxed meal? Yes! I love the way Kroger is trying to adapt to working households to make sure that we are not just eating food, but thinking of making better choices in the time that we have.

I noticed, however, this time that it has a slight metallic smell and flavor. I was sick with flu like symptoms for two days afterwards. Unable to eat anything for two days , I began to feel better. Upon the third day I had a hunch. I looked at the back of the bottle and saw that it was AN ENTIRE YEAR EXPIRED!!! I brought the bottle back to Kroger where they nicely refunded my money. I then went to the shelf were I picked it up and there was one left and guess what? It was also a year expired!! I was then told that because no more had been scanned in that I could not get any more , so I left without!!! I feel like more could have been done but hey, who am I? Check your dates or this could happen to you and your children.

The steering wheels, seats, driver side doors, armrests, and other fabric areas had stains that were difficult to remove and some couldn't even be completely cleaned off. Even driving back we felt the interior parts stick to our hands and clothes. The supervisor of the place did send a mechanic to clean the stains, but the mechanic used a dirty rag that ended up smearing more oil around the interior of the car. They did not use and other cleaning supplies, just a dirty rag. We told them to stop trying to clean it since we saw that they were making the problem worse than it already was. Overall, they did the oil change, but we are very frustrated with the issue they caused to out cars since cleaning oil stains is basically impossible to do for some areas of the car.

The only thing I dislike about walmart is the self checkouts. It does seem only 1 lane is open with a cashier and then the other 10 stations are self checkout which is just inconvenient when you have a cart full of groceries or young kids with you. The store is clean and a bit more updated than others I have seen.
