This is a newer Kroger location. It has a gas station outside that I frequent. For some reason this store always seems to be super busy, no matter the time of day. The selection is great and the inside is well maintained as far as stocking, quality of produce and cleanliness. It is not a marketplace but does have a pharmacy. I like to stop here on the way home as its much nicer than locations closer to me. read more

I love shopping at Kroger because it's a local company and really has the best selection. This location is always packed it seems, I try to visit weekend mornings before 9:30 and don't do my full week shopping here most weeks anymore given rising prices. The amenities are the best though in my opinion - fresh sushi, Starbucks, great friendly deli staff (precut meats and cheeses set out during COVID), Rapid Fired Pizza, friendly pharmacy. I only knock off a star because cashiers are often pretty cold. Always efficient though which is appreciated to "get out and on my way". read more

The store refuses to honor their big red sign and says there are "exceptions" and basically has a screw you attitude. This is completely unacceptable! This is a review for the Kroger Pharmacy at Austin Landing in Dayton, Ohio. I recently picked up a prescription for Methylprednisolone - 4mg - 21 Tablets. At the register the quoted price was $24.62. I then asked about the GoodRx price. The young lady dodged the request and quickly told me I could get the "Kroger Discount Price" of $15.79. I thought that was O.K. until I checked the "GoodRx price quote for Kroger" and found it to be $9.22. (62% less than $24.62 and 42% less than $15.79) This kind of exchange has created serious trust issues that I feel toward Kroger. I feel taken advantage of and misled. The only reason that I have written this review is because I hung up after I was left on hold for 15 minutes. I'm not blaming the pharmacy team; they are working as hard as can be expected. The problem seems to be more of an issue that has taken hold of the Kroger Company. The employees are just overworked and the store seems under-staffed. read more

I love Kroger. I love Kroger. I am a fan boy. I will work for corporate one day! They have everything. Sometimes with their prices I honestly wonder how they can profit from it. Also how on earth do they have everything with their own brand? Kroger beans, shampoo, meat, charcoal, probably even diapers! The bar was recently redone and has ample seating with two flat screens and multiple tables and chairs right behind it. I don't necessarily see myself going to kroger to enjoy a glass of wine and live music, there are plenty of people who do. I'm glad they are happy! The only draw back to this Kroger is that it is jumpin' nearly 24/7. So if you come on Saturday or Sunday at 330pm you will run into everyone and everyone's mom, their dad, their neighbors too. Right now they have a promotion that if you pay with your debit card and enter your pin on 4 purchases greater than $20($25?) you get a bonus 100 fuel points. read more

No matter how far in advance my doctor sends in my prescription it is never filled when I go in to pick it up and their answer is always "come back tomorrow". Twice they have told me to come back tomorrow only to call me in the parking lot and tell me my prescription is ready. They give false and misleading answers to questions. Someone (the FTR) has an ax to grind with Kroger. I'm not going to tangle with that beef, y'all. I'm just going to squeal about this new location that is super luxe, super large, and super difficult to get to. Yes, that's right...Austins Landing has one of the most convoluted traffic patterns in the greater Franklin area. Not that Franklin has great traffic patterns to begin with. After you're lucky enough to finally drive into this location and get a parking spot (also difficult), get ready for a treat! This Kroger is, yes, a lot like the other fancy-pants Krogers springing up in the homeland of the greater Cincinnati area. But it's also a nice hybrid between the Springboro Kroger on Second St. and the Dorothy Lane. There are local brands and fancy cheese counters (including a super fab Murray's counter!!!!!) right next to acoustic performance spaces in the wine department and an intuitive produce department. There are some parts of this store that are a little too much for me. These giant "everything Krogers" do manage to be Wal-Mart-lite. I don't need to buy patio furniture, a couch, hot dogs, maxi pads, and fresh leeks in one trip. I can spread things out a little, you know? But I'm also a curmudgeon who likes going to the butcher, the green grocer or farmer's market, and the bakery for my weekly goods. If you want to minimize your shopping time and maximize your impact, something like the sprawling Kroger is for you. Some of the prices here beat DLM. Some of them don't. There are products here that the DLM won't carry. There are things that should be here but aren't (because they're at the DLM). Consider visiting the two in tandem. But prepare to be impressed by the really lovely stock of Kroger. They did step up their game with this one, and I'm delighted. I do, also, really like grocery stores. Grocery stores make me happy. They are happy fun lands for adults with things like tasty fish and beautiful melons. (Send me a compliment if you want to know about the lemon drop melons from the DLM. Sweet barking cheese, those are fab.) This is one happy fun land that's pretty darn good. If people could read the signs above the express lanes ("about 15 items' really doesn't mean "an entire cart that's overflowing"), I would be even happier. But I can't complain about how gracious and gentle the checkers and baggers are with my goods. That's right, gentle. Not a single bruise on a single piece of produce came home with me. Bless, bless. Accessibility notes: automatic doors. Some high and low counters throughout the store. No Braille signage. Automatic carts available near the entryway doors. High shelves throughout the store. Not all check-out lanes are accessible for seated customers. Can get loud at peak hours. Produce and cheese sections can get crowded for customers with accessibility devices. read more

Say what you will about Kroger as a company, yes its a big-box store but it has a great selection of name brand and specialty foods. I love that I can get everything I need for my weekly grocery trip and spend the least amount of money. They really do have the best prices around and a lot of nice touches that make it a better shopping experience than Meijer, and certainly Wal-Mart. The wine area is superb and on Saturday night, they host a wine-tasting with live music. It's a fun way to get the community winos together to enjoy themselves :P. The Starbucks, which is standard in larger Kroger stores is great, even if they ran out of iced coffee when I really wanted it. I love being able to get a treat for myself when shopping with my kid. Speaking of my child, the bakery offers a free cookie to children shopping with their parents. My daughter starts talking about "cookie!" when we walk in the door. But what really makes this Kroger great is the staff. Today, I was annoyed because I had to return to Kroger to return a piece of sockeye salmon that had turned in the two days since I bought it.. My poor kitchen smelled terrible due to that stinky fish! Needless to say, I was less than pleased that I had to make another trip in the rain to return it. Surprisingly, when I returned the fish to the store, the guest services employee was very kind and helpful. She issued me a merchandise credit for the price of the fish and even walked me to the seafood section and spoke with the employees (who were also very friendly) who then cut me a new piece of fish at no charge! The employees clearly take pride in their products and enjoy making customers happy. I was so impressed with how I was treated at Kroger that I will not shop anywhere else. Thanks! read more

I bought 3 $25 Spaghetti Warehouse gift cards at the Austin Landing Kroger south of Dayton, OH. Spaghetti Warehouse is a small chain with restaurants in Dayton, Columbus, Akron, Toledo, Houston and Syracuse. When I got home, I read the "fine print" on the gift cards.... the cards are only good at the Columbus location----about 70 miles away. I'm now stuck with 3 gift cards that I can't use at the local Spaghetti Warehouse which is about 10 miles away. Why is the Austin Landing store selling gift cards that can't be used at a local restaurant? Called customer service and explained my problem. "After talking to Corporate", they said could not help. They said that the store manager would call me on Monday, 8/22. Apparently, the store manager has the authority to resolve my problem if he/she chooses to do so. Naturally, no call.... So, the moral to the story.... BEWARE of the gift cards you buy at Kroger's... They may not be good at local establishments. read more

I've lived in miamisburg for a year now. I love Kroger, that being said this kroger is ALWAYS packed. It's also hard to get to because of Austin Landing and surrounding areas ridiculous confusing traffic system. The store is clean, has a variety of veggies etc and has a Starbucks. Aisles also seem a bit too narrow for my liking. If you aren't someone who likes crowds of people that you literally cannot get around to do any decently fast shopping at times then I wouldn't recommend this kroger. read more

I used to be a big wine buyer at Kroger, but I don't know if the store hired a Southern Baptist for the store manager or something, but I am almost 60 years old and they just started carding me every time I bought alcohol. It's creepy, and makes me feel like they think I'm trying to get away with something. None of the other Krogers in the area do it, nor do any of the other wine stores unless you look 30 years old. I would respect Kroger more if they just stuck to what they do best, sell low priced processed food and a few offerings of fruits and veges trucked in from the other side of the country. This was the worst Kroger i have been to. I have been shopping at Kroger for a couple of years now and I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life when walking into this place. I absolutely love Kroger but I did not like the energy it was giving off. On top of that I was told by my mom who was a couple of feet behind me that when I was speaking Spanish their was an employee by the name of Matthew saying thinks like "oh Mexicans, we are not in Mexico" and other things that he mumbled underneath his breath but my mom didn't get a chance to hear the rest. This was my first time ever stepping foot in this Kroger and I can honestly say I was not impressed at all. The most time I spent here was five minutes because i did not feel welcomed at all. I hope that they show a little more diversity in this store. It is 2019 things like this should exist anymore but the sad truth it still does. read more

The pharmacy is the absolute worst. The line takes forever, then after being inside while getting groceries and checking on my prescription, I was told to keep shopping and come into the line after. Once in the drive thru, I finally got up to the window after a terrible wait and was told my prescription had expired. Impossible, as I had just been in there and had picked up the same monthly prescription the month before. After a long talk with one of the pharmacy techs, all of the sudden the head pharmacist came over and asked what he could do to help. He talked down to me and said that it was the computer saying I was wrong not him and that humans could make mistakes but computers could not. He hen said "What the hell do you want me to do then, huh?" and shrugged at me. I immediately was very emotional as he was so incredibly rude and unprofessional I said nothing but that I was switching to CVS. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!!! read more

Poor customer service from the customer service department and manager. I wanted to make a simple return of a pair of gloves and scarf purchased from Kroger in December. I no longer had the credit card used to purchase the items, so I requested store credit. They refused. The customer service attendant spoke with the manager on duty, but the manager did not come out or address my concerns with me and offered no explanation of why they would not return new items and give me store credit. I spend hundreds of dollars at this Kroger weekly and they want to jeopardize losing another customer for a $14.99 return. All I wanted was store credit. Seriously?!?! So disappointed in you Kroger. The store is set up very well and is very clean! My wife shops here all the time. You can ask the wine staff anything and they seem to always have an answer. My only minor gripe is the location of the gas station.... When they finish building up Austin landing the traffic/location Will probably make it not worth going to the gas station here unless we are already at Kroger. read more
