Inside the store, you will find some great Coke products for sale, some very cool old memorabilia, and then they also carry everything you would want in a small town pharmacy. They have a wide selection of Watkins brand products, too. If you're traveling in and around Cartersville to see the Tellus museum or the Etowah Mounds or something, it is worth a pit stop here. The longer the store stayed open, the less helpful the employees became. Nowadays, if you go in there especially in the daytime, the people who seem to be the "shift leads" will tell you that they don't have any way to make custom fragrances, and that they're out of everything, and that they only have a handful of things premade, and they cannot make anything new. I went around Christmas time to try to get some body scrubs and some dish soap and laundry soap. I was told that I could only buy what was on the shelf already made, and that they would not be Custom fragrancing anything. I told my husband I was disappointed I couldn't get my favorite fragrances, so he went to the location in Roswell, which was more than happy to help him and I got a wonderful set of body scrubs and soaps for Christmas. He said the people in the Roswell location were very friendly and told him that in Canton they should be able to do the same thing and they could not understand why I had been turned away. I went again to the Canton location in January, hoping to find different personnel on a weekday and was again told that they did not have any fragrances to make anything customized. When I walk into the Canton location, I feel as though my presence is not welcomed. The associates in that store stay behind the fragrance bar and do other tasks while customers are shopping and it's hard to get their attention if you need anything. If you do get a question to them, they act bothered as if they wish you would just go away. I noticed another shopper the last time I was there and she was being ignored. She had questions, and the person behind the counter was dismissing her and acted as if she wished the lady would just leave. it was not like this at all when the store first opened and I remember being treated very nicely. I remember the wide variety of fragrances that could be made and I remember being able to choose whatever I wanted for my scrubs and laundry soaps. From now on, I'm going to have to shop in the Roswell location because the people in the Canton store are so unfriendly and can't be bothered to deal with customers. I used to work in retail, and in fact, I worked in a shop called Garden Botanika where we made custom fragrances for our clientele. It was one of the most enjoyable parts of my job, and I loved helping people and I never took the job for granted. I was happy to be employed and I was happy to be getting a paycheck and I was happy that customers were coming in getting excited about our products. I think there is a big difference with this generation today, because they seem to want to work for nothing, pick up a paycheck, and scroll on social media instead of helping customers. I think the Canton location really needs to take a hard look at who they have in management at that store and take a look at what the customer experience is on a typical basis. They probably need to send in secret shoppers to see what the experience is like.

While driving in, I happened to see an employee and I asked him what time his store opens. He said to me "we are open". It was 733AM. Yep, drove up, closed. How does an employee not know their own hours? Was he just being a jerk? Is he really that dumb? Not a big deal except I was in a hurry to get somewhere and wound up going to Walmart anyway. At least they seem to know their own hours.

This store is massive. Probably the largest one I've ever been in. There have just about everything you can possibly imagine that can be sold for a dollar. From frozen foods to shampoos to old fashion candies that will keep your dentist in business for years. It's always fun to browse the aisle to see what sort of stuff a hard earn buck will get you these days. The cashier here was pretty friendly and pretty funny actually so it made it an enjoyable experience.....

Well I've stopped coming to this location so much because I could tell it was gradually going down…read morehill. Cashiers were changing alot, the cleanliness of the store was going down, and many of the decent items were out of stock each time I stopped by. The store use to be much neater and cleaner than other locations, but that is no longer the case. The store is messier now, with items constantly left on the floor. And just today I walked in and there was a rancid smell throughout the store. I didn't even bother walking around, I just grabbed two sodas from the case, paid, and left. I hope they clean up this location and make it organized again, but other than that I can go to a convenience store for sodas and candy, or the Kroger behind my apartment. You still can't beat everything being a dollar, but grocery stores are carrying more items for a dollar and below. So I prefer going elsewhere that's cleaner and neater, and hopefully on down the road this Dollar Tree will straighten up again.
