Review of Kroger - Ongoing Check Fraud Issue This is the second time my elderly father has experienced check fraud involving Kroger. That alone raises serious concerns. Most recently, he wrote a check for $17 at a Kroger store. The physical check was returned to him showing $17, and his receipt also confirmed the correct amount. However, when he later checked his bank account, $317 had been withdrawn. Despite numerous attempts to get this resolved, Kroger has offered nothing but delays, blaming their third-party check processing vendor. When contacted, the vendor pointed the finger back at Kroger. This circular blame game has gone nowhere. To be clear: a Kroger cashier effectively stole $300 from an elderly customer. And given this is the second time it's happened to him, it would be naïve to think this isn't a more widespread issue--one that may often go unnoticed, especially by elderly shoppers who rely on paper checks. As of now, there has been no resolution, no accountability, and no refund. Kroger needs to take this issue seriously and ensure better oversight of its check handling process, especially when vulnerable customers are being targeted. read more

I came here because I needed a drink. I came in here the parking lot and the store is extremely clean. The store is really big and has a lot of options. I didn't really look at prices. The service is really good and plenty of options. I overall had a good experience. read more

Always a busy store. I blew in for liquor and wine. Awesome selection and lots on sale most of the time. They even had ha super fancy wine area. I spotted an $82 bottle of white for $29. Always a value. Tip- after the registers up front is the super premium allocated selection. read more

Well they closed the butcher shop here. No More Cappicola or Mortadella at deli which is totally understaffed. Poor Campbells soup selection. People ( besides the deli employees)are pretty good. read more

This is by far the nicest Kroger I've ever been too, the food selection is great, and you can buy clothes, shoes toys, even have electronics. read more

All time favorite place to shop! From groceries, prescriptions, to clothes and shoes they have it all. Besides the great prices, the staff is nice and helpful and even if the staff do not know they will find someone who does or personally find out the answer for you. Always have plenty of good cashiers open which makes lines go fast. read more

I'm a frequent shopper of this location! It's very easy to enter and exit. The layout is good and updated unlike a few out there. It's a great size, but surprisingly, not the biggest in Indianapolis. I believe the one off Bluff Road is a little bigger. This Kroger carries a lot in groceries, great produce selection, and some general merchandise. This location has about everything I need. I just wish their yogurt selection was a little bigger. Meijer has a bigger variety, but I go here for everything else! I love cooking my own meals, too. This location has a RedBox, but it seems like it's not as always stocked up like the McDonalds next door is. I believe customers receive their DVDs from inside the Kroger and then return them to the McDonalds location. read more

Out of all the Kroger's around me (Greenwood), this is probably the last one that I would choose to go to. This used to be my go to Kroger, and it's still A-OK in all respects considering the Kroger realm. It basically always had everything I needed, and it's pretty easy to get to. There is now a Kroger superstore marketplace that's closer to me, or if I don't want to be swallowed up by that one, I will go to the one on 135 by Fairview Road. It's just as easy to get to, easy to navigate, and not as huge and overwhelming. The staff there seem friendlier too. Sometimes bigger is NOT better. ;o) read more

Best location ever. Super nice check out people and the store has so much to offer. I live the cheese bar and love the liquor section. They always have specials/sales. My ultimate fav is the cut flower section. They even put flowers on sale! read more

Always has what I'm looking for in stock, friendly staff, and prices are comparable with other grocery stores.

The woman Stephanie is the deli and bakery is very hateful and rude. On several occasions I have shopped there and the woman cusses and gives dirty looks if she doesn't want to slice my meat thinly. If I were over her she would have been fired! Customer is always right and customers are how you have a job. I will not shop in the deli or bakery if she is there. read more

Very clean store. Helpful staff. Don't like seeing the employees smoking in the front of the building all the time....that's gross and smells. Prices are starting to get high on a few things...big jumps too. Hope they don't continue or It will be time to move on. read more

I prefer this Kroger. The new one on Emerson is terrible. It feels like they have more clothing than produce. The Independence Dr. Kroger *usually* has everything I need unless I'm getting exotic or something. Plus it feels like they are out of the way of the normal rush. read more

What I despise about most Kroger's I have experienced is this odd old smell that hits you when you first walk in. Makes you wonder what is going on...what could make a whole building smell like that? Anyways this is NOT how this Kroger is at all. This Kroger is MARVELOUS! Very clean, smells fine - even good at times with the great smells coming from the bakery and the occasional season item that smells good (the other day they had these cinnamon scented decorative twiggy brooms - I was walking up and down the aisles trying to figure out what that smell was - was it the apple cider - something from the bakery - then it hit me as I walked by an end cap of these little brooms of cinnamon goodness). Anyways - I have always been impressed with the freshness and quality of their produce - well above what Walmart or even Meijer has to offer in that department. You will never see sad wilted produce - everything is always crisp and fresh. Great place to grocery shop. read more

I use this Kroger to fill my prescriptions because they are actually the cheapest around. My only problem is that they never have my medications in stock. I always have to wait 2-3 days for them to receive a shipment. The pharmacy staff is friendly, but it's very frustrating that every time I get medication filled it's never in stock. read more
