This location has gone downhill for me. Consistently I noticed in an effort to make the shelves look full, product was moved over into the wrong space. I used to work retail so that kind of stuff stands out to me, but we made new labels to match the product that was moved over if something was out of stock. Not what this location did. Super annoying too because I actually needed the product that had the label but it wasn't there at all. The checkout lines are so pitiful, only one actual lane and the rest were self checkout. Visited the gas station at this location on April 9 around 8:15 pm. Two visibly drugged out people were zombie walking through the gas station area. One person sat down next to the tire air pump. The other walked by. Neither harmed me but did leave me concerned for my safety. A homeless man was chilling out in one of the islands in the parking lot. This location needs to work with Ft Worth and Alliance Town Center to clean this up. I won't be back anytime soon. read more

The store has decent sales on occasion. However, they don't employ cashiers to check you out (at least not after 8 pm). They do, usually , have one person babysitting the self checkouts. That person is usually rude and sarcastic should you make eye contact. My former Kroger always had polite, friendly cashiers who made you feel like the higher prices were worth the smiles at the checkout. This location seems to populate itself with employees outwardly dissatisfied with their life choices. If I am doing all of the work so that you can get a paycheck, at least be polite. read more

It's not often we do a big shopping trip but when we do we chose Kroger. We even get our prescriptions filled here. The fresh "pretty pretty produce" area is always tidy and clean. And your right by the fresh flowers, hint check out the area by the floral service desk to find all the sale and clearance floral items. And don't forget to grab the kids a $5 pizza! Food & drink availability is questionable sometimes as well as condition of food. We moved into the area in '05 and used to shop at the Kroger on Heritage Trace until this Kroger was built. I like this location a lot, the parking lot is designed well. The store itself is huge, and overall pretty clean. Great selection of produce, wine/beer, cheeses, etc. My only complaints are sometimes the isles are confusing to find. Also there are a lot of cashier lanes, but usually not many cashiers. So I tend to use the self-check out since there's a lot of those. However, the best part is there is a Kroger gas station right next to it so you can use your Kroger gas points....And a McDonald's if you want fast food after grocery shopping lol. Just a side note, seeing many people having issues with expiration dates and meat being bad etc. Here are some tips: ALWAYS check the expiration date on something before putting it in the cart. This issue happens in a lot of grocery stores not just this location. Plus buy your meat elsewhere, I prefer Central Market, which I know can be pricey for some people. But hey, even Sprouts and Costco or Trader Joe's have better meat and vegetables quality/prices than Kroger. I honestly just use Kroger for pantry items and wine/beer and things of that nature. read more

Kroger is overstepping its bounds as a grocery store. Requiring customers to wear masks when the STATE doesn't even require it is asinine. People should be allowed to choose how they want to shop, whether that's picking up groceries, having them delivered or shopping in person without a mask. We don't need all your SJW emails, either! They have officially ruined this store. No organic section and what organic items they have you must dig for. The store is laid out by someone that must have been taking drugs. Nothing is intuitive. Prices have all gone up some 10% too. The new auto check registers lock up all the time and are terribly irritating. I recently moved here from Kansas and have been disgusted at how Kroger stores are being managed in my area. Although I have tried 4 different stores, on multiple occasions, none of them have provided quality services. They are always out of stock of sales items or only have a couple available when you need 5 to get the discount, even during weekdays. There are long lines at the self-checkouts and 1 line opened with a cashier that also has a long line. I am disabled and it is very painful to stand that long. Today I used pick-up for the first time and when I got my order items were missing, they were out of stock on 18 items, and two soup cans were crushed. So I called the number provided for pick-up problems but there was a long wait time. After an internet search, I found the store's phone # but instead of a person, I got an AI. What is the deal? There is a female being that works the east side of the store self check-out area named Theresa. (I had to ask someone.) I asked for assistance. She was too busy carring on a conversation with another employee, and "I could wait a second." I wanyed to know name. Her name tag was taped backwards to her uniform so it wouldn't face forward. So, I couldn't see the name. I complained to the manager. I went back a few days later and found the exact same issue from this waste of store resources. Employees usually give some level of service, so she doesn't qualify in my opinion. I realized the manager either ignored the complaint, or has no leadership ability allowing the employee to run the department. I called the main Kroger Corp. number, the CSR then called this store, Theresa was rude to the Corp. CSR! On my next visit the female had her name tag facing the proper direction BUT, THERE WAS NO NAME ON IT! YOU COULD SEE THE SCRATCH OFF MARKS WHERE IT WAS REMOVED! This morning I went to pick up some things, I was treated like excrement AGAIN. Theresa at least was wearing her name tag facing correctly and her name was on it... IN A FONT THAT IF I HAD APPROACHED TO TRY TO READ IT, IT WOULD BE CLAIMED I WAS STARING AT HER BREASTS. SO, KROGER, WHO IS THIS FEMALE MANASQUAN YOU JAVE WORKING THAT AREA, AND WHAT DOES IT HAVE TO HIDE? It's okay. The produce section is a little iffy sometimes, and if you want to make a salad from the salad bad, I would refrain from using the bacon bits--they're a bit chewy, and I am unsure of how often they are changed out. The staff are usually very helpful, and if one of them doesn't know where something is located (etc), they handle it pretty quickly by asking over their communications who does. Friendly staff most of the time. Other times the staff can be a little clueless (I saw a woman and child waiting in line at the... not bakery but the meat section counter, and although the worker saw them standing there in line, he didn't come over, but rather assisted whomever walked up to the part of counter where he was--which was not where the actual line starts). It is the products that are sometimes debatably good. For example, the salad bar; bacon bits are a little chewy, and sometimes hard enough to be mistaken for a bone, which isn't the case. Some of the fruits or vegetables will look a little old... But overall they are usually okay, decent. I must show appreciation to some of the staff members, because they can be very helpful with whatever inquiries I have. Additionally, I really like that there is no withdrawal limit at the money counter (western union, etc). The website for WU wasn't updated, and I did try calling several of the locations listed, and was either not answered (called twice or three times), or they simply did not have a WU. So, the WU at this location was a life saver. Sometimes this place seems a little understaffed, and occasionally at what seems the worst times (the store was crowded, and nobody was working at the check out area except perhaps one person). Generally, a good store. I have not been to Tom Thumb, or recently a Costco/Walmart to compare this store to, so this review can't be of much assistance, and I do apologize. But I hope that whomever is reading this has a good experience here!!! I write it as though it's awful; it isn't, but it does need improvement. Ah! Almost forgot! The delivery service seems pretty good too actually. I stepped foot into this store for the first time tonight and am was sad to see that this was another location not open 24 hours anymore, but that seems to be the trend in this part of town. Aside that, in my scramble to get my groceries to the checkout I was long past the 1:00 AM mark and unable to check out, BUT the stocking staff (Miss Zai) and night manager (Dennis) were the most helpful and charming people I have ever dealt with at a grocery store overnight. Dennis offered to keep my cart so I can retrieve it in the morning when they open at 6 AM which works perfectly fine for me and my schedule. This is a Monday night and the store was shockingly stocked VERY well. Tonight seems like it was a "truck night" because they were stocking the shelves even more in the non-perishable grocery area. This is honestly the cleanest, well mapped out store I have been in and as much as I've been spoiled by Instacart and other delivery services, I have no qualms about doing my own shopping here at this particular location because of this delightful first impression everyone made today. Edit: I visited this store earlier today as a brand new pharmacy customer through the drive-through to arrange med transfers, etc. Generally this type of pharmacy interaction makes me want to have a stroke anywhere else, however, THAT experience was equally as delightful as my late night, in-store experience. The guy that rung up my prescription not only gave me a cheaper price than GOODRX/Walmart has ever given for my controlled medication, he was able to somehow magically knock off an extra couple bucks which is especially valuable during these economically challenging times. BTW- out of 5 major pharmacies in the area, this is the only pharmacy that had my very common controlled medication in stock for a dang good price. Prior to my pick up I had made two phone calls and was never left on eternity hold longer than 30 seconds before someone picked up. Friggin awesome service! If I could give 0 Stars I would. 8/10 times I visit this Kroger location, that is .3 miles from my house, I return home to discover items I've purchased are expired and rotten. I visit this location daily. Tonight it was Salmon that was advertised fresh and was full price, the color was pink; looked fine by the eyes, but when the package was opened upon returning home to cook I was immediately were hit with rotten fish smell. We threw it away, the smell was nauseating. Other times it's been fresh lobster tails, chicken, and pork that had appeared fresh but we're rotten when going to it cook same day or two days later. The produce section is consistently filled with rotten products as well. Really a disappointment, I know others who have the same issue. I wish management would make some change. read more

I hate to say it, but I really don't like this store. The reason why I gave 2 stars and not 1 star - is due to the employees. Each and every single one of them are awesome. Very kind and professional. Also, the floors are always clean which is much appreciated. The actual store - honestly gets 1 star. 1) It's never stocked. I don't know if I just come at the absolute worst times (I shop almost daily) but the place looks ransacked. The dairy section is pretty consistently is empty. I also hate it's location, but there's nothing I can do about that. Fruits, Vegetables are also pretty scare on a consistent basis. Chicken - WHY are there not more choices for chicken? I would LOVE a chicken breast / chicken tender package that is only 1 pound. I've only seen 2+ pounds available. Very annoying. 2) Cart's - On the rare occasion I find the carts stocked. On the one side, their access door is always broken (I'm assuming due to weather) but still, I have on MANY occasions had to walk back out to the car / a cart return and bring back several carts. Location of the cart returns - It's a huge parking lot, and its generally pretty full. The lot could use several more cart return lanes especially in the back part of the lot. I hate seeing carts randomly all over the lot, in the bushes etc, so another return lane would be great. 3) Similar to # 1 - The bags for the fruits and vegetables - please, please keep those stocked. I was there the other day and all but 2 were empty so everyone was crowding around them trying to take a bunch. 4) This is the biggest upset. EXPIRATION DATES. I kid you not - every single time - EVERY TIME I come into this store, I pick up something that has expired. Whether its the yogurts that are a week bad, or bread, or cans, or meat, or whatever! Something is always expired. This is unacceptable. I am always conscious of expiration dates and this truly drives me up the wall. As I stated at the beginning. Kroger's hit and miss. This is a moderately large store. Someone saw a rat once in the produce section. Shocker. It happens. Doesn't deter me from buying produce. I just wash it well anyway lol. Back to review. They are over priced and somewhat understaffed. My son used to work here and management can or was sort of tools to the young employees. He worked there 3 years and they one day just decided to demote him which was weird because all previous managers loved him and many people asked for him personally. Anyway back to the store itself. It's ok. It has stuff. I will say i dislike the meat department. The quality is just ok. I started using Costco and vacuum pack my portions now. They do have a nice ethnic section so if you need an odd Asian or Mexican spice or item you can find it. I actually prefer the local Albertsons over this or drive to winco. I came into this store today to exchange some formula that was expired that I bought at another store. I would have gone back to the other store except they were out of the specific Gerber formula that my son needs. I explained to one manager my situation and she was willing to help. I even had my receipt. And then another manager comes over and trumps her an says "you have to take that back where you came from or my store will take the hit on it". Excuse me?? Your store taking a hit on an expired product that your company put out is more important than my son eating? The other store was out of the formula which is why I came to this store. I have been shoppin here sense i moved up here fairly close and i see no reason for this. The store has most everything i need when i need it and now they just did a little remodeling so they can carry more products. All the meat at this place is rotten. They wouldn't refund me my money despite having the credit card I purchased it with and my Kroger card. I've worked as a cashier as a teen and we would always refund returns that had the card it was purchased with. They were absurdly rude and disrespectful saying that the rancid meat was edible (the meat "manager"), and insisted on it until we said "would you feed this to your family?" Watched 2 other cars pull up after me and receive their groceries. At this point I had been waiting over 40 minutes. Called for a 3rd time and talked to the manager I believe. Kroger's Pharmacy has gone in the toilet. Regular monthly prescriptions are filled almost 2 weeks late. They will close the drive thru on you even if you are in line well before they close. Terrible customer service. I bought a dessert wine that was on clearance. When I got home and opened it, the wine had completely gone bad and was undrinkable. I went to the same store and talked to the manager Omar. The first thing he said was "we don't carry this." The lady behind the register said "well it rings up in our system." The very next thing he said was "oh it's cooking wine." I said no it's dessert wine and it's literally in your wine section right now. He totally dismissed me and tried to deny his store even sold this with it still being on the shelf. He then proceeded to tell me he could only exchange it for the exact same thing. This store is always clean. Well staffed and they are all friendly. Every employee I walked by greeted me today. The guy stocking dairy greeted me twice, I walked to get milk and back- lol When I stopped at the bakery to choose a fresh baked bread, I was offered some help but politely stated that I was just looking. I guess I took to long so another girl asked if I had any questions and at that time I did. She did not have an answer but immediately turned to the worker in the cake section and asked her for me. This store has the customer service down. Another reason this store is a go to for shopping is that they often have free samples. I have tried different wines, beers, cheeses, sushi, popcorn, deli meats. I have even purchases a few of these things because I had never ventured to try them, and samples are a good way to try new things. When the team is there making sushi for the case, it is made fresh daily, you can put in a special order and they make it for you right then. I have gotten a bouquet of balloons form the florist and they did a great job. Their flowers are always lovely. I hope after reading my review and you come here that they will not let you down. Just a note: when the economy is having an egg or milk issue, do not get mad because Kroger sold out. I rarely give a one star. It is reserved only for a business that has consistently demonstrated problems with no sign of improvement or a concern with mending problems. This Kroger deserves the one star every bit. I only live a few blocks away from the store, so I visit it way too frequently. I am developing a tendency to start avoiding it and driving further to Albertsons or some other grocery store that is a better store overall. I cannot explain how unprofessional the checkers are. I have heard more stories about their boyfriend or girlfriend, or what is wrong with the store, or how so-and-so employee has pissed them off one time too many, etc. These stories are consistently going between the checkers and the baggers. It is as if I am not even there, but I am witnessing their conversation. It has happened to such a degree that I filled out a formal complaint and turned it into Kroger's. I have never heard anything back and that was two months ago. The level of consistent unprofessionalism is appalling and the lack of follow up by the management when I filled out a formal complaint online is simply not excusable. I work night shift in a hospital, so I have a tendency to shop at night. They close down their checkers at a fairly early time and if I go shopping later in the evening or night, I have to scan all my groceries. I do not mind scanning some of my groceries, but a whole basket full of groceries can take a very long time to complete and it becomes the capstone to a very frustrating visit to Kroger's. Not to mention there is not enough space to put my groceries from the cart to the counter on the left of the self checkout. A grocery cart full of groceries will not fit and it creates a logistical nightmare. This then triggers the alarms on the self check out causing it to lock up. The one employee who monitors all of them has to consistently run around reactivating the machine so I can then scan the next item. I wish I had my phone on me when I went to the store last night. I would have taken pictures to show you all. The produce section was about 50% empty. Entire bins simply empty. The selection was poor and the quality was minimal. I also found multiple errors when I went to check out that did not match the price advertised. They tried to charge me three dollars for a simple small head of garlic. I said I would not pay three dollars for a small head of garlic and returned it back to the produce section. The frozen food section had vegetables that obviously fell out of the bag or somehow exploded out of the bag. Corn and vegetables were spread around the aisle at a large distance. It was an unsafe situation and the hour plus I was shopping there, no one addressed it, cleaned up, put safety cones out, or attempted to address it in anyway. I simply do not like that I will be penalized an additional cost if I do not sign up for their card. Yes I have signed up for it, but I resent having to give them a card with my address on it or suffer a penalty. I believe Kroger is wrong for doing this and they should stop it like Albertson's did. It is why I choose to give most of my business to Albertson's. I have been around a lot of seafood in my life. Their selection is poor. I have tried multiple times to purchase various seafood items and have been disappointed. I seldom can find wild caught shrimp. They only offer farm raised shrimp. A properly run seafood counter will not smell like old fish or old seafood. They do not clean up as well as they should, the obvious giveaway being the smell that permeates around the seafood counter. The prices are outrageous. I drive to Albertson's or Walmart when I can to avoid having to pay the prices that Kroger charges. This is one of those flagship stores and they charge a premium price. I have shared my concerns more than once with Kroger personnel, and the feedback is poorly received by the overworked employees. They do not seem concerned and run a minimal mindset minimum wage business that is not centered around customer service, cleanliness, or a good experience. I have no trouble believing that the management of the store must be unhappy and disengaged as their employees consistently come across this way. The culture and atmosphere of the store varies between unprofessional, not caring, aloof, and overworked. I have yet to see even one employee I would call happy. They come across as zombies who try their best to get everything done as fast as they can. I have waited a long time to offer my opinion on yelp as I was hoping the store might improve. Rather, they have degraded their customer service down slowly over time. They are always under stocked. Their produce section is never even 3/4 stocked and whatever is there looks old. About a month ago they were out of all oikos yogurt (don't think there was an oikos food scare like with blue bell and sabre). Maybe there were like 5 coffee flavored ones (no thanks), but it was mainly just a big section of empty shelves. They are usually out of small capers and I was only able to find one giant, expensive jar of tahini paste (looked for it for a few weeks and finally found it near all the organic stuff...?). I know that's a somewhat unique item, but come on. I don't think they carry julienned sun dried tomatos, either. Ive looked, asked, and have never walked out with it crossed off my list. Boneless skinless chicken breasts are a hit or miss as well as deshelled, deveined shrimp. Every time I come here, I have multiple items on my list that they were either out of or I finally gave up trying to find. This means another grocery store trip to a different store. It's just really frustrating. I never had this problem at the other Kroger near my old apartment. They need to step it up. read more
