With the price increases, I'm starting to split my shopping list. ALDI is my go-to for some fruits, salmon, and chicken (sometimes). They tend to have items that you'll see once, but never see again. So, if you see something you like and it isn't a regular item, I'd suggest you get several of them. I really like ALDI, I feel like I truly get a bang for my buck. Who in the world thought it would be a good idea to extend the aisles to extra long aisles with no middle break? Absolutely ridiculous! Now customers have to go f I'm one end of the store to the opposite end with no break to go down to another aisle. Very poor design. The "aisle of shame" as it's been labeled is always such a hot mess express. I don't think it gets straightened at all during the day which has signage not matching the products and difficult to shop. The store is fairly well stocked in most areas except for the freezers which have had a lot of open spaces. Not sure if it's due to stocking or just product outs in general. read more

I'm a little Aldi-obsessed, truly. This isn't my usual Aldi but I was in the area, and it's always fun to stop by Aldi because you never know what new fun stuff they'll have -- you gotta get it while it lasts! The prices here are cheaper than other stores across the board, which is becoming increasingly important as prices of pretty much everything keep going up. Aldi offers a little relief with their more affordable options. And they have a really great line of gluten free products (Living Gluten Free) that's keeps me well-stocked in snacks and bread. They also have plenty of GF pasta. But my favorite Aldi things to shop for are their cheeses and their season items. Just trust me and go see for yourself! read more

Wow, this store has gone downhill terribly. There was rotten produce in almost every area. The gnats were terrible and the entire produce section looked like a cyclone had gone through it. We didn't even look at the rest of the store after seeing this section. Will not be back. The Hurst store is much cleaner and organized. read more

Ohhh ... aldi. This review is based on my experience yesterday, a good ole' rainy Sunday mid-morning trip. It was supposed to be a quick in and out, but dang it! Y'all switched up the store and I ended up circling 4 times or so, each time picking up something else. Of course, I didn't grab a cart because it was supposed to be a one and done type trip. And that's totally not your fault for having really cool food finds! In fact, I'm happy about it. And in case you were wondering, yes, I did finally find what I actually ran inside to grab and proceeded to check out. Here's where the deduction of two stars comes into play...the cashier was *holds a thumbs down.* for one, they didn't send another cashier up front to get the line down. And two, the cashier that rang me up didn't say a word to me the whole transaction. Cool, cool. I get it, you're not feeling your job today, that's fine. But after I paid, he acted annoyed with me for not grabbing a cart to put my items in. Rude much?! Anyway, we got through it. He just needed an attitude adjustment. There's something about this Aldi that makes it feel a lot like a Walmart. It's obviously the same store as the one in Hurst, but somehow it feels a lot more run down. Maybe it's that whole shopping center. If you live down the street, great, this is your convenient neighborhood Aldi, but if it's a drive either way, I'd head to the Aldi in Precinct Line Rd. read more

Reviewing this Aldi is tricky. On one hand, their staff is fantastic, which is about the only reason we don't drive to another Aldi. On the other hand, this store can be such a mess it's hard to count on doing your grocery shopping here. Located right off 183, this Aldi is in a strip mall in a pretty convenient location. It is of the newer Aldi store design, so larger than some of the Aldis in town and substantially better laid-out. Beyond the incredible staff, that's about where the good ends here. First, it's crystal clear every time we walk through the door that they're beyond understaffed. We've been in when there have been perhaps two employees in the entire building. That's one thing for a convenience store, but totally unacceptable for a grocery store. Second, the store tends to be dirty and you can never count on anything being in-stock. The floor by the entry is probably enough to turn a lot of people right around and leave. It tends to be absolutely filthy. Again, one thing for a convenience store, another thing for right next to the produce in a grocery store. As for in-stocks, it is usually pretty good for shelf-stable and produce. When it comes to dairy, frozen, meat, etc. you'd better have two or three recipes in mind because they are frequently out of commonly used ingredients or only have undesirable cuts of meat. Again, I hate leaving a negative review as their sales floor staff and cashiers are always amazing and do everything they can to make the experience great. Today was my first Aldi experience. I thought maybe it would be like Smart and Final, my go-to discount grocery store out west, but it's definitely not like that. The Aldi experience starts when you realize you have to bring a quarter (yes, real currency) to bail a shopping cart out of cart jail. Thankfully a nice woman offered me her cart and said not to worry about the quarter. But I wouldn't want to have to rely on the kindness of strangers in the future if I were to try shopping at Aldi again. So, bring a quarter for the cart. Check. Inside, the store was way smaller than I expected. And a lot of the shelves were empty! They had exactly zero energy drinks, and exactly one option for cases of 1-liter bottles of water. The produce looked decent, but that's about it. It's like shopping in the Soviet Union. You get one choice here, comrade, and you'll like it or off to gulag you go. Aldi takes no frills to a new level. A level where they don't even have a lot of products to sell. Checkout again was full of surprises. Starting with having the items scanned and then chucked unceremoniously directly into the cart. No bag was even offered. When I asked, I was told it's something like 11 cents for plastic and 8 cents for paper. Upon inspection, I saw that the paper bags didn't even have handles. Go retro, I suppose. How convenient. How 1980s. I abandoned all hope of acquiring a bag, as now I was holding up the line at the only open register and could feel the heat of the glares of the other shoppers - people who know how things work around here - burning holes in the back of my neck. I get it, this is a discount store. But I've been to discount stores, like the aforementioned Smart and Final, who have a decent selection of products, friendly staff, and they don't nickel and dime you on everything. It's low cost without making it feel low rent. Aldi succeeds in being low cost and making sure you feel it, every step of the way. I paid for my items, returned my cart (leaving the quarter deposit for the next person) and left. My disappointment was immeasurable, and my day was ruined. read more

Came here today after passing it for several months. This will definitely be my new go to grocery store! Upon walking in I loved how light, bright, and open it was. It was easy to get between the aisles and just shop. I felt so comfortable that I could've been there all day. The selection was just fabulous with tons of produce options and everything looked so fresh. I love that they had an Aldi finds section which had so many cute little items that I had never seen before, such as Islandic yogurt?!? I grabbed a strawberry one as I knew I wasnt going to see that for a while. The entire frozen, dairy, and meat sections were just fabulous as well. I stocked up on everything!! I have to be honest I have mixed feelings about Aldis as the one that used to be near me was really just sad--so I was not expecting much, but wow, this was great and I will be back!! read more

Store is filthy, where carts are filthy with dirt, paper, garbage. It looks like never been swept. Store floors filthy. In milk area milk spilt dried milk, and freezer/cooler floors filthy. Decent little ALDI, but I wish it had a larger "LIDL" selection -- the items that you would usually find in Europe aren't as common here, sadly. You sometimes will find some stuff that's actually from Germany or Salmon from Canada, but largely this stuff is sourced from the same old companies you've always known, at least for some items. Love ALDI! Super cheap! They have the best and cheapest selection of gluten free! You can't find this stuff at a better price! The produce is always fresh and inexpensive. I don't buy my meat here, but that's just because I'm weird about my meat. They don't have a ton of employees working at the same time, so if you need helping finding something you're kinda SOL. I really love Aldi. Although most of their stuffs are not name brands, it doesn't mean that the quality is bad. In fact, I personally think Aldi's stuffs are really high quality. They have good price, good quality, and the cashier is well trained too. Most of them are pretty friendly. Best of all, from my last visit, the cashier accidentally enter the wrong code. So instead of tomatoes, he charged me for bing cherries. Guess how they fixed it? Refund the money of the cherries and gave me the tomatoes for free. How good is that!? I really love Aldi. Again, the service is not bad. Although they don't have much service, when they do, it's always 5-star quality. I totally recommend Aldi. It has been my favorite grocery store for a year and counting. Oh yeah, and one more thing. There were two things from Aldi that I tried failed me. One is coffee. Another one is donuts. That's about it. The following list is the ones that I buy from Aldi, and I think they are REALLY good. Store is Euless, not San Francisco! I go to Aldi on a regular base, and if it wasn't for the European stuff they sell, I would never shop there anymore. A few times now I bring my own tote. At check out, I put my tote in the cart, and every time the agent refuses to put my stuff in the tote.she put it next to the tote, in the cart. It is like the same effort to put it straight in the tote, no? What a bad customer service. Besides that she finds it nessesairy to lecture me about doing it myself. I hadn't come to this specific location for a long time because of my previous experiences. This time was completely different though. I got to the store around the time they opened since I only needed a few items. I did struggle to get my quarter to work to grab a basket. I know the business model of the store so I have my bags and cash ready. The last time I came here the store was very messy and disorganized so I went in with my guard up. To my surprise this store was extremely neat and organized. Everything was displayed beautifully and it was easy to find. There was a special on strawberries that week so I was certainly going to grab some the first few that I grabbed had some molded strawberries. I got the attention of an employee and they promptly removed those items. The rest of my shopping experience was easy and I noticed there were a lot of name brand items in the store as well. I'll have to check out this location more often. read more

Aldi is a great grocery chain. Plenty of store brand products that are much cheaper than the competition but the products have just as good quality as the competition. There is only one cashier at a time. I come here for the essentials. Nothing too exciting but worth the trip. read more

Love this place! So affordable and has pretty much most grocery items. I will warn you all, they do not sell any heavy cream/ half and half or buttermilk. But other than that, I find everything I need here. There's only one way you can get in and out. The prices are a lot cheaper than Walmart and some of the produces are actually better! If I could give zero stars I would. I watched a cashier start a fight with a man who had 2 items. The cashier refused to ring up anyone's food unless the next person in the other line got out of line with BOTH of his carts, and into his line. I ended up leaving without my items because there was so much chaos. Who talks to customers like that anyway? I was returning produce which was unopened and in good condition. The store manager said that she can't do the return because she can't resale it. I asked "So you're not honoring your return policy?" I've always been a fan of Aldi and I make sure to find the nearest one whenever I relocate or if I'm having dinner at a friends house. This is a pretty good location. There's always a line but the service is always fast. I'd still recommend opening more registers. There's always only 1 cashier. This location is pretty clean but I've noticed the appearance of the displays have declined a little since I last visited. There needs to be a little shelf maintenance throughout the day to keep everything nice and neat. With that said, this is still a good location to visit. read more

I've never actually been able to go into this ALDI due to their hours. My daughters school is near by and this is the closest and best priced grocery store, so if her teacher asks me to go grab something quick that they didn't get from a parent for an even I always try to go to this aldi but I would have to wait an hour for them to open ... I can drive around to Kroger down N Euless main or something in the time I waited an hour for them to open. Both times I've gone, once not knowing their hours, the second forgetting they didn't open until 9, I saw at least 3 or 4 people pull in, look at their hours and drive away. So they must be loosing some amount of buisness, I know its to save on cost ... but both times I saw employees in the building so its not like they are reducing cost on staff cause they are already there. read more

I'm a fan of Aldi, but my wife would much prefer the regular grocery stores. This particular location does a great job keeping the store clean and shelves stocked. I recently had a problem with a jar of mustard that was not sealed well. I attempted to exchange the mustard, but all the jars in were not sealed. They gave me a replacement product and a $1.99 credit. I have only had a few issues, but speaking to the store manager has quickly rectified each situation. Then take into count the money savings and I'm a happy camper. read more

I fortunately live right down the street from this place. 45 cents for canned vegetables is awesome so I always stock up. They are 68 cents at walmart. The eggs, produce and meat are amazing and the prices as even better. milk is often a dollar cheaper here than you will find at walmart. The only thing that they could do better is accept credit cards and open more registers when people randomly all seem to want to check out at the same time. read more

Aldi's is not the place where I buy all my groceries it is however the place where I get a lot of my produce. Most of the veggies are packed up but you would be hard pressed to find better prices on pepper, broccoli, onions and tomatoes and I dare you to find a cheaper avocado anywhere in town. You do have to be careful because everything that is cheap is not good. I don't like their sharp cheddar but the specialty cheeses are great. People by gallons and gallons of milk and dozens and dozens of eggs. I don't buy either I don't drink milk and I prefer brown eggs. Everything is inexpensive so I don't feel bad trying a product because if I don't like it I'm not out of a lot of money. The stores are generally clean and well stocked, The only negative is most of the time there are not enough cashiers and lines get long quickly. The US version of Aldi is just not the same as it's German counterpart. Yes the quarter cart returns are there, the giant bags of Haribo too, but there is just something missing (perhaps higher quality goods). To be fair I was never a big fan of Aldi period, no matter the locality, but seriously our version isn't all that. Everything has a cheap feel to it, and nearly everything is re-branded, so you typically have little to no idea of an item's origins. I tried one of their meat offerings, a fake filet or sorts, it was terrible. The one thing that really holds them back for me is how difficult they make it for me to shop there. They don't take credit cards, they don't have any employees to help you, and they take the items out of your cart and place them into a new one at checkout to prevent theft. Too many hoops and hurdles for my taste, but they do indeed have a few high quality items at reasonable prices. I'm glad to hear we'll be getting Trader Joe's, which is essentially Aldi with a bit of class and stature. I will be frequenting those when they are finally here, but I don't foresee too many tips to Aldi in the future.
