I was pleasantly surprised to see some shelves actually stocked with food instead of wine and cheese. I was able to find everything I needed. Once I got home I was disappointed with the store brand prepackaged salad. The lettuce on the bottom was beginning to turn so that's my last time purchasing that. I like this kroger and have come here for years. Very convenient and they usually have everything I want in terms of decent cuts of meat and a variety of fresh fruits/veggies. My last visit they'd blocked off all the check out lines for a time and were directing customers to less busy registers, but before i'd got to the check out line, they'd unblocked everything and you could walk to whichever register you liked. Other than that little weird blip, i'm a definite fan and will no doubt be back. read more

My comments are regarding Kroger Grocery pickup at this location. I normally go to Belvedere Kroger in Decatur for my pickup where they are usually calling me early saying I can come early if I choose. This is my second time trying this location and I'm very disappointed. This kroger has 8 or more pickup parking spots but only 1 employee shopping for all these customers. She is doing her best. This is second time I have had to wait over my pickup time. My time was scheduled from 10-11am. I got here at 930am. I recieved a call saying once again my order wouldn't be ready until 10:45am. My pick up time was from 10-11am that means I should be able to pick up my order between 10am and 11am. Its now 11:20 and I don't have my order. I received the text that says "review for substitutions" and when I click the link it says my review time has expired. How? I literally just got the text to my phone. So what substitutions have been made regarding my order? Am I going to have to go to another store after sitting here 90mins for something that should have taken 5 mins?? Why was the review time limit only 5secs?? Finally someone comes to my car and says they called my name outside but I didn't answer. Why didn't you call my phone or approach my car. I am listening to an audio book in my car. Im not paying any attention to someone shouting outside when my parking slot was entered when I logged into the kroger app and typed in what number parking spot I am parked in. Im the only vehicle still sitting here while all the other cars that just pulled up have gone. Help me understand. Now im late for my other appointments today. I will not use this pick up service again. Management at this location yal need to get her some help. This is not a 1 person job trying to shop for 8+ people every hour and deliver groceries to their vehicles. Its affecting the customers tremendously. Do better. She is a very pleasant young lady and is not at fault. This is management's issue. read more

Do not use this pharmacy if you actually need your medicine. I've had an issue every time I've picked up medicine that I need to take daily that I will have negative side effects from missing. They wouldn't answer questions about the availability over the phone. No one there seems to care about any of the patients they are hurting. It has taken them multiple days to get prescriptions I shouldn't skip days on. So if your medication is important to your health and you cannot miss doses(as most medications are) I would find somewhere more reliable. read more

Last few times we've been here, the checkout lines are filled with people begging to buy their full carts of groceries for them. This place has definitely gone downhill and we don't shop here anymore. read more

This Kroger has gotten progressively worse since I've started coming here. Customer service is terrible, the employees are usually either non-responsive or rude, and the overall selection is crap compared to other Krogers. Even though this Kroger is closest to me, I've actually driven to the Rockbridge road Kroger in Lilburn before just to not go here. By the way, that Kroger rocks. This Kroger needs to get it's act together, hire some better people, and at least make some attempt to compete with Publix when it comes to customer service. read more

CAn I post Zero stars? This Kroger has gone downhill in the last few months. Store is always dirty, jammed with Kroger employees with big bins shopping for APP users along with customers, so NO social distancing. And the last 3 visits they are out of about half the items I use to purchase. Today their computer system crashed and no registers would ring any purchases. I waited for about 20 minutes in a line of almost 20 people. I approached a clerk for an update after a while and she said the system would crash if you entered your Kroger Card. After waiting for it to reboot, you would not get any discounts or coupons. And deli and produce items could not be rung up. So I left and went to Publix where everything was in stock and a number of BOGO's helped me save. This Kroger needs a major overhaul and a new manager who cares about his customers. read more

This is my favorite Kroger I've gone to so far on the East Side. Just moved here and I've been to 4 of them. It's larger and newer, well stocked, and they have a wide selection. Check out is usually busy but it's worth it to shop at this Kroger. It's not as new as the Edgewood Kroger, but the parking/traffic is way easier to deal with at this location, and there's a fuel center. read more

I was hopeful to have a different experience than the other reviewers. I stopped in this Kroger because Publix did not have what I needed. I went to the seafood counter which had two other customers waiting in front of me. When it was my turn, I approached the counter and asked the gentleman for what I needed. Once I received the last item, I noticed that there was more than one price on the bag and asked for clarification. A customer in front of me did the same thing. It was hard to hear the older gentlemen because we're wearing mask. As I tried to confirm one more time, he yells in front of other waiting customer, "Can you see?" How embarrassing. How humiliating. I started to put the items down and leave the store, but I really needed them so instead I decided to ask for a manager. I spoke with the store manager Terry Lee. I told him I'd likely not return. He tried to say the employee responded that way due to the pressure with COVID. I reminded him we are all dealing with it in our different professions, but if I need clarification and so did another customer that didn't warrant that kind of behavior. read more

For years this was my go to Kroger on the way home from my weekly trips to the Dekalb Farmers Market, but ever since the remodel and expansion I find myself getting angry while shopping here. Item placement is random and designed to make you walk the entire store trying to find items that should be grouped together. Today I was looking for peanut oil so I went down the aisle with "Olive Oil" on the sign overhead fully expecting to find all the various oils and vinegars. Nope. Olive oil and all the vinegars were on this aisle, but I had to head one aisle over for all the other oils. They clearly expanded this store to compete with the Walmart that moved in down the street but the design makes no sense. Even though the store is physically larger than it was there doesn't seem to be any more selection than there was at the old store, just more of the same stuff placed farther apart. I guess I'll stick to the Kroger in Tucker until the decide to change that one. read more

Love this Kroger. Don't expect the produce to be anything special because the Dekalb Farmer's market is down the street and if you don't go there for your produce, then you must be insane. I never have to wait long at checkout and the baggers are more than happy to use my own bags (yes, I'm one of those ppl). Be ready to avoid some local kids attempting to sell you anything from candy to Girl Scout cookies though. read more

I've tried 5 different local pharmacies since moving to Atlanta area (including other Kroger) and this is the one I'll stick with even though it's a bit of a drive. The staff always goes over and above. This seems to be an attitude that comes from the Pharmacists themselves as they are helpful and willing to assist. Had a couple small issues with the grocery store but never the pharmacy dept. Wish hours were longer but it's a fair trade off. Actually had the pharmacist from CVS across the street roll his eyes at me and told me to look on the internet for drug interactions on my RX. read more

Let me tell you something, I bypass 3 Kroger locations to shop here. My homestore SHOULD be the Belvedere location, but I wouldn't feed my enemies from that store. My go to store in the past has been Edgewood, and it's a pretty consistent and decent store. However, after dropping in on this location after leaving the YDFM, I'm in love. For the past couple months, I've been coming here, and there's no turning back. Every location should be modeled after this one. The people of 30317 deserve better. read more

I have been shopping at this Kroger location for years and have rarely had a problem. Today however, I had to exchange an item that was less than satisfactory and unfortunately did not have my receipt. I waited very patiently for close to an hour before someone told me I could not exchange the item. Having worked in the public sector for 20 plus years, I know it would be prudent to check on a waiting customer with an update while the problem is being worked on. Although this incident alone would not prevent me from continuing to shop here ( this is definitely one of the better locations), I would caution shoppers to understand the customer service management here may leave something to be desired on any given day. read more

I'm not a paid person writing this review. I do not work there or have family that works there. Not sure where these positive review are coming from. Online Kroger's stuff does not match the store, don't see all those fancy fig sauces. Been shopping there off and on for 8 years. It has went down hill big time. Waiting 30 minutes to an hour in 1 line at check out because they have 1 person at an open register. Also, always having to bag my groceries. Don't see the point paying high prices for this slow and lack of service. Also, see a lot of cashiers walking around. Broken glass doors. Empty shelves every where. Rotten food. Food left in weird spots. Really bad smell from from the freezer area for weeks. People following women around and they don't work there. Had 1 guy following me around, and was so close to me that he was breathing on my husband's neck. Leaving the store had to deal with pan handlers begging. read more

I've shopped here for over 14 years but it has become a terrible place to shop. And so is the Walmart down the street from this Kroger location. You get Ghetto attitudes from the employees. A few weeks back I bought gas at the Kroger pumps at that location and the attendant was horrible. As I paid in cash she snapped at me, 'Put da money in the TRAY'! I told her that I wanted to use my Kroger plus card for a discount. After she scanned my card she snapped. 'You save TWENTY CENTS!' Nasty woman. Something is really wrong with her. The whole shopping experience in that area is really disappointing. I've started going to the Chamblee-Tucker Rd Kroger. Nicer and cleaner and no meanness. read more

I agree with many of the reviewers before me about the cleanliness, staff etc. at this Kroger location. But...They are in the middle of a huge renovation right now (I know because I went to the lil kinda okay-kinda crappy Chinese buffet near there) and it looks like they are expanding it. They moved the dollar store to the other side,etc. I haven't been in yet during this - it seems like a nightmare from the outside at least while theyre working on it. =P BUT I hope they also make changes - not just add more space :) Let's all see and revisit once it's finished and add our new reviews after. The store is clean, and the items are cheaper then Publix. Some of the workers are retarded, but hey, just be sure to have your Kroger card, and you can do self checkout, less hassle. The ONE other Great thing is that they have a DVD machine that you can rent movies for 1.00 /day.. I mean geeze is that cheap or what? they need to have one of these in EVERY Grocery store! Parking is good,and they even have their own gas station, which is competitive in price as the BP gas station, which i find is one of the cheaper gas stations in Decatur Update: I was recommended a particular wine, and was suprised that they had it. I love this location and can find most items with my eyes closed! I like the pharmacy as well. Last year I was placed on a few meds and I get them from this Kroger. Whenever my prescription is ready for pickup I get a text and I can usually pick up my meds when I do my shopping. Great location! read more

We have all been to a Kroger or two. This location is similar to the rest - shelves full of bread, canned vegetables, etc., etc. I tend to buy non-fruits and vegetables here since the Farmer's Market is nearby. I think the shelves are generally stocked well. The customer service at the deli counter is usually pretty good. I often go to the Kroger gas station which is a lot cheaper than other gas stations. QuickTrip is really it's only competition that I have come across. Parking lot is a little crazy though without clear driving lanes...kind of dangerous. There is a good beer and wine selection. Also a dollar-a-day DVD rental booth. Kind of random, but last time I was there, they had like 100 Snuggies for sale..I guess ramping up for the holiday season. They had a great Halloween selection too. In general, I think that there are "cleaner" looking Krogers around, but this place serves its purpose. read more

The service here has been on decline over the last year. 2.5 gallons of spring water are never in stock!! Kroger brand ginger beer can't seem to stay on shelves. Today, there were no plastic bags in the produce section. None!! Anywhere!!! Employees have zero familiarity of the foreign foods carried in store. Employees more concerned with gossiping about their personal lives at the end of the register instead of making sure items are stocked. I give this grocery store an average rating. Nothing special, nothing interesting. When this store got told to "Lead, follow or get out of the way.", it got out of the way. Yes, it is clean and easy to move through. But I don't find a lot of interesting ingredients here. No real bulk section. I don't run into a lot of friendly employees. The prices are reasonable and you earn points that are good for cheap gas. I wanted to fall in love with this store, but I just can't. So I'm seeing other stores. read more

I been a loyal customer at Kroger for many many years and it's my go to place for about almost everything until today. I drove all the way to Kroger and bought my groceries and tried to fill up my tank on my SUV. To my disappointment, very disappointed I feel Kroger employee at the gas pump just keeps getting worst. Today after I finish my groceries shopping I went straight to the gas pump but the pump were closed at 10:15pm. I been getting my gas from Kroger for many years and I know they close at 11:00pm. It's a shame to remodel Kroger only to fill it with dissatisfied employees. I had a pleasant shopping experience up until I was pulled to the side by an employee to discuss how he was upset because he is continuously called to help with unloading but others don't. Then we get to check out and the cashier doesn't know how to take a donation which wasn't the problem. She finally got some help to do a generous $20 donation by the man in front of me and my husband in line. However, nobody was there to bag his groceries and she seem reluctant to do so which was hilarious to me. He had to say excuse me Ms. but my groceries need bagging as she started to ring us up. My husband had to stop her and tell her to get him out the way before she added our groceries to his. A bag boy came up who was unable to separate the plastic bags in order to bag the guy groceries. Him and the cashier proceeded to have this long drawn out conversation about how she isn't help and stuff. Finally the bag boy finish bagging the guy and started on our stuff. I just decided to help him bag and the cashier too because he was useless. I told him bagging at Kroger's was my first job and he said this was his first job as well. Bummer . Please retrain your staff on customer service. Start with your department heads and managers make sure they are trained on how to treat their staff and how to hire the appropriate staff and how to project a positive attitude towards their job and those they work with. Train your employees to give great customer service even if they have to FAKE It until they believe that they have the power to affect someone's day positively. By your Kroger's is a lot of other Kroger's, Publix, Farmers Market, and there is even a Sprout, Whole Foods which maybe a drive away but people are beginning to be picky about where they shop. read more

With the presumed renovations, the store has been in shambles for the last month. Most all items have been relocated and shoppers cannot find anything with no help from the employees in sight. Most obviously the health food section has been dismantled, the beer is in complete disarray, all styles/brands of beers thrown together in the coolers, the prepared deli section has been dismantled, the pet food and paper tissue products have inexplicably been moved to opposite sides. The orange juice has been moved twice. It is now by the ice cream (?). It appears that some mastermind decided to muck things up just for the sake of it. Added to that, a lot of products have not been restocked, but that has always been the case. And yes, the employees tend to be rude. Today I had a run-in with the clerk at self checkout. She kept commanding me (that is barking and pointing) to do something but I couldn't tell what. Apparently she wanted me to get away from the scanner so she could enter a code. That was news to me. I felt as if she were acting like a TSA agent at the airport. I spend too much money at Kroger to be treated like this. Needless to say, we are looking into other shopping options. I'm not too happy at the development down the road with the new Publix, but can't say I won't be checking it out. read more

I love this kroger! WHY? Because they have an amazing starbucks counter with the friendliest baristas and also a salad bar and the best thing ever...a fresh sushi counter!! The sushi counter totally made my day today...they offered a lot of sushi options...that you can customized and ask the chef there to make it to your wildest sushi dream. I stopped in today and needed a healthy lunch...saw the fresh sushi counter, and quickly made my way over. I saw that they offered a lot of the usual like california roll, tuna roll, and such. They also offers it in brown rice and white rice. Also, this sushi counter also offers Chirashi, for 7.99 you get a very good portion of fresh salmon, fresh tuna, crabmeats, avocados, and they even offered to give me a bowl in brown rice. They did it for me right there and then and I happily took the bowl, paid for it, and devour it. SO GOOD. Go check them out if you are in the area. read more

I am in love with this Kroger. Not only do they have a decent natural foods item, but an entire aisle of that section is dedicated to natural beauty/cleaning, and is unlike any other major grocery store I've seen (not counting places like whole foods/wild oats obv.). Dr. Bronner's soap, Kiss My Face toothpaste and deodorant, alba vegan chap stick, seventh generation, mrs. meyer's clean day, etc etc. I was honestly very pleasantly surprised. I can't speak too much about their produce (since I buy all of mine at YDFM) but they have some really good deals on their dry good items, although I wish there were more options for reasonably priced whole wheat pasta (my favorite - whole wheat pasta by barilla they don't carry. instead they have some barilla with omega 3s or something, which I really don't care about). read more

Out of everything and a huge store. Never have half and half cream. Ever. Have had to switch to Publix just to get the basics.

This place is like a little slice of hell. I don't really think of grocery stores as the sort of places that can incur bad reviews. After all you just go in and buy your food, right? Nope. This Kroger has convinced me that there actually is a huge continuum when it comes to grocery stores. The store recently doubled in size, and the only result seems to be that it is always out of stock of basic necessities. Milk, lettuce, herbs, oranges, juice, you name it...and when something goes out of stock, it takes weeks to replace. Management does not care about customers at all. They sell expired Arden's Gardens juices. When I pointed this issue out to a manager, noting the rapidly expanding cartons, his only response was, "Yeah, that's what they do when they go bad." So they know they're selling customers bad juice. I'm not sure if they keep these items in stock too long, or have faulty refrigerators, but in either case, someone is going to get sick. Very sick. The worst part, though, is the uncomfortable atmosphere here. I have been repeatedly sexually harassed by employees who comment on my appearance, ask me out, or make inappropriate comments about my purchases. When I see an employee, I walk the other direction and try to avoid eye contact. There are also a lot of solicitors and creepers in the parking lot, and they've done nothing about this issue. That's a huge safety concern, and I suspect someone is eventually going to get hurt--or sue them for sexual harassment (if I had more time, I'd be the one suing). One time a fight broke out in the Kroger, and as management did nothing, a couple customers intervened. Pathetic. They seem super excited about the store remodel, and store executives are constantly present. They're horrible people. They're rude. They cut in line. They do nothing when employers sexually harass customers (and yeah, it's not just me. I saw a manager "dayum girl..." in response to a woman who was almost certainly under age). Finally, the Starbucks. Dear God. Are they hiring literal brainless zombies? I don't know. All I know is that they refuse to make my drink right; they don't even try. And it's not like my sweetened coffee is particularly challenging to make. read more

Ugh. I prefer Kroger over the Yuppie stores but this one has several problems. The biggest is the meanest women to ever work a deli. If you shop here, you know who I'm talking about. She ignores you or yells at you. Try getting help from the butcher. Tumbleweeds. Everyone is lazy but there are some decent baggers. I'm guessing it's bad management. I recently went to the Kroger in Tucker and it was a revelation. They were treating the produce like a skilled florist before a botanical garden event and the butcher shop was well staffed.
