I was here last week to grap some fresh flowers for an event at my home. This is the largest Kroger floral selection I've ever seen and I love it. Found some fresh bouquet of flowers with great deals. Customer service was good at the register and casual ambiance as any other Kroger. Ample free car parking available in front of the store. The shelves were well-stocked, and the aisles were clean. The produce was fresh and nicely displayed. Kroger is a large supermarket chain with deli and bakery departments, plus health and beauty products. Don't ever make the mistake of getting a pickup order from this location. You could go inside and get your own groceries 3 times and back in the time frame it takes to get an order brought out to your car. There are over a dozen people waiting in their vehicles for orders to be brought out, and Kroger has one little guy on duty (who appears to have some severe cognitive problems) bringing one order out at a time, and even then only once every 15 minutes. It's so bad that people are getting out of their cars to mob the poor fella anytime he finally comes outside (see the pics). I don't blame the kid, he seems completely overwhelmed (on multiple levels); I blame the store for staffing only one person with special needs at rush hour - my guess is because they are legally allowed to pay someone with special needs less an hour than a regular worker. A perfect example of a penny pinching corporation. Any frozen or perishable food items are definitely melted by now. I'm going on 50 minutes of waiting now. Update: poor kid forgot to set the brakes on the cart and let it slam into a woman's car. Then he tried to rub the dent out with his hand lol smh ‍ Update again!: 1.5 hours later he finally got to my car. I sternly encouraged him to ask someone/anyone inside for help. He said "there is no one". I told him he should maybe try his manager then. He said his manager is busy actually doing the grocery shopping for the pickup orders. What a cluster..... read more

Used to love this location and would drive past CitiKroger and TinyKroger to get here but those are both gone and now this one is going to the dogs. Half stocked shelves and no employees to be found in the aisles to ask anything. But the show ended today when i went in and no more hand baskets. See Ya Bye. read more

I've never hated at grocery store like I hate this one. The service is awful from top to bottom - IF you ever know who the top is! You NEVER see store leadership here. Complaints go unanswered and definitely unaddressed because the service you receive here NEVER CHANGE. Tonight took the cake for me - I sped through the streets like a bat out of hell (well not really but really) because I thought I had eggs and didn't. I made it to the store at 10:50 p.m., they close at 11 p.m. and they have their security outside turning people away. He won't speak he's just shaking his head no. Atlanta has already failed with everything shutting down before midnight and having to deal with b-ish is just the f-ing icing. No one was trying to make a full basket of groceries at 10:50. At this point, I'm convinced Kroger corporate doesn't know this store exist. read more

Perpetually understaffed. Most checkout lanes are closed (including self-checkout). Lines halfway down the aisles not uncommon. I mean, on weekend before thanksgiving they had only two lanes. This location is always a hit or miss. Today was a hit. lol. I was able to get everything that I needed. I've noticed that on weekends there's barely ANY registers open only self check out, which is crazy work for a busy Saturday afternoon. I ordered pickup. 19 of my 40 items were missing but I don't notice because the groceries were put in the trunk. As I'm walking into my home a worker calls me on his personal phone - not a Kroger phone - to ask me to come pick up what had already been marked as completed. When we went over what was missing - they still didn't have everything. I asked for the missing items to be delivered or refunded. He said he'd talk to a manager and call me back. Over 20 minutes later I'm texted that the manager won't refund my money. So, Kroger, you're just going to steal from customers now? If I want any help I have to call the 1-800 number - which was not provided. And guess what? The 1-800 number wouldn't allow the automation bot to refund 19 items. Neither would the refund request in the app. Is Kroger hurting so badly then need to steal $80 worth of groceries from consumers? Just know who you are dealing with if you shop here. I'm still fighting to get my refund from this billion dollar company. read more

Worst Kroger of all time got a new low tonight. Half the store was so dark that I the pic Yo a friend and they asked if we had a Hurricane. Unhelpful employees - the few that actually were working have no clue or care. I only shop there for things we cannot find at the Dekalb Farmers Market , which by the way is awesome! I asked the self checkout gal why no lights? Her actual response was.... Ain't nobody know been like that all evening. Seriously? Anyway, self checked out because I stood in 2 different lanes only to have employees not know what do do with the customer in front of them or in one case an employee who had a billion coupons and wanted everything discounted more- they should check that. If I could give it 0 stars or negative stars I would. Quit going here to shop years ago and now go in once a year to use tag renewal machine. And every year I remember why I quit shopping here. The tag machine line was about 12 people long so I thought I'll grab some groceries and see if the line moves. I picked up a bag of pancake mix and it was covered in syrup that got all over me. So here I am in the Publix parking lot where I should have gone and will renew my car tag online when I get home. read more

Why did I come here Monday with my son. I came to self checkout and had an uncomfortable experience with a rude and racist employee. I had a bottle of wine in my cart needed my ID to ring it up. I have been shopping at this store for 15 years. During the pandemic we have primarily used their online pickup order system. I had a really poor experience in January 2021 when they overcharged me by quite a bit and refused to refund me over the phone. Given the pandemic I did not want to go inside the store to hash this out, so they agreed to give me a credit on my next order. I then gave myself about 6 months to cool off about the whole thing, because I really didn't like the way that was handled. In finally ordered from them again today and it was once again a bad experience. My credit from last time was nowhere to be found. The in-store employee I spoke to was apologetic and did take off $10 (not the full amount, which I could not remember at the moment) so I appreciate that. Then, I had a really, really bad interaction with the employee that delivered my items. Between that and another overcharge on this order I'm pretty frustrated. We have a lot of other grocery stores in the area so I will be taking Kroger out of my rotation for now. read more

Kroger now has Apple Pay!!! Let's go Kroger! This is actually one of the nicest Krogers I've seen in a long time. I usually do my shopping at the Dekalb farmers market, Whole Foods or Publix. This is because most Krogers have issues with shelf food safety and the quality of their animal protein & produce departments. These guys have it figured out. The store is immaculate every time I come. I believe this is because of the hourly intercom announcement made for the employees to straighten and clean their sections. Wow! The meat and seafood department does not have an odor and the produce is delicious. They also have a really good Starbies inside this location! Staff is always friendly and the pharmacy refills prescriptions quick. Great job Kroger! Love it here! read more

Managers should be the epitome of good customer service yet my experience with her was worse than why I asked to speak with a manager in the first place. This used to be a great store; however, it's gone drastically downhill in the past few years. Dirty store, spoiled meat, rotten produce, and extremely aggressive panhandlers in the parking lot who threaten and try to mug you. Having shopped at Kroger/King Soopers all over the country this is the worst one I've been to. It seems like the store's current management has ran it into the ground. Not only are understaffed, customer service is beyond rude. I do weekly shopping and spend around $1000 a month there. I had a cart full of groceries and it was at 10 am. There was no one operating any of the checkouts. The larger self-checkouts were turned off and a horrific line at self-checkout where I had to remove each item from my cart, scan it, and do my own bagging. Enough is enough. We went to the lady at the customer service desk to complain and she told us she didn't want our business and "go F$%@ing shop at Wal Mart!" My Wife and I visited this Kroger this afternoon and they only had one checkout open and it took my Wife about 30 minutes to check out. While waiting a Kroger employee was very rude to me for sitting down in the front of the store. I am handicapped with a bad ankle and congestive heart failure and unable to stand for 30 minutes. I then moved to a handicapped scooter and the security guard was testy with me until I showed him that the battery was so dead that it would not move. It is awful to only have one check out open on a Frriday afternoon. We do not use self service check outs but they also had very long lines. If we are going to give them our hard earned money they could at least keep enough cashiers to take our money. Awful experience. read more

I had completely written Kroger off; I always have terrible shopping experiences there. So I was committed to Publix. That is, until I visited this Kroger. I had passed by this location for years and never gone in. I finally went recently and I was so pleasantly impressed with the store. It doesn't have that drab look that Kroger usually has; It honestly looks more like a Publix. It's huge, clean, has a great selection of everything you're looking for. The staff is helpful. Every isle is well labeled and easy to navigate, especially when using the Kroger app. The lines move pretty quickly. There are barely any buggies available though; there were none when I went in today. This location has restored my faith in Kroger and is definitely worth the 30 min drive to make it my default grocery store. read more

It's such a shame that this Kroger went to hell. I used to love visiting it and now I absolutely abhor this store for so many reasons. It's is always out of stock of so many items that you can't depend on it to finish off your shopping list on any visit. The lanes always have a long line and the self checkout attendants are always doing something else or wandering off when you need them. The parking lot is a zoo and there are never any small carts in the store. The produce I recently bought was slimy when I opened it immediately after bringing it home and the prices are higher than Publix now. Every time I go I say never again. The only thing this Kroger is good for is getting your steps in because it's entirely too large, spread out and nothing is where you would think it should be. read more

Worst pharmacy customer service ever. The house at till 8pm but don't let them fool you, they pack up shop and leave earlier. Waited in the drive though at the window at 7:45 pm. They finally came at 7:58 saying I need to go in the store but they close at at. Obviously by the time I got there it was 8:01 and already gone. Kroger store manager was very sweet and went to the pharmacy and couldn't even speak to them as no one was there. Switching to CVS or Publix now. read more

This store remains horrible. Pharmacy lied about their drive through window being broken during the pandemic. I called around and all the Kroger pharmacies mystifyingly has "broken" drive through windows when we needed it most. They lied to me about prescriptions. Then they claimed I cursed at them (I don't mind admitting when I do!) and banned me, but just from this one store as I was complaining to Pharmacy Board! LOLOL. The Toco hills staff are far better and remain so though I'm not asking for advice, information etc...jyst count the pills process the insurance correctly and let me get out. This store also CONSTANTLY has workers who are either stupid, don't care, or both. Management admits they can't get workers and in fairness this area's stores all have problems. Constant filth in the aisles and saw cockroaches at the checkout...but they didn't care. Called corporate and they said someone would contact me. Never did. For delivery or pickup items often expired or will in a day or two...so check items before leaving if you choose shipping that way. They're careless with temperatures in refrigerated cases and I once saw a pack of chicken in the freezer with bagged ice for sake. Told an employee and they did nothing. If it isn't sealed don't buy it here. Yes you may pay more at Publix or other nearby (less than a mile away) stores (Sprouts, Aldi, Publix, DeKalb Farmer's market etc.). Seriously consider going to one of these. This store is literally a health hazard and I am now calling the health department as they won't fix it themselves (at the store or corporate level). And for attorneys...this is a slip/fall dream for you. As I said they constantly have aisles with spills that have obviously been there for hours. And accepting Apple pay is hardly a testament to the quality of staff or quality or safety of products. Does this Kroger have a catchy nickname? I'd try to come up with one, but I can't think of anything creative. Despite passing this Kroger billions of times, I finally went in only the other day. I was actually impressed by this location. It's a lot roomier and less dingy than the nearby one in downtown Decatur. It was pretty easy to navigate, and the items were organized. The nice cashier was helpful in clearing up confusion regarding a sale price. Convenient if you need stuff that the nearby Dekalb Farmers Market doesn't carry. I'd used their gas station a few times back in the day and never had issues. read more

Not so good for grocery shopping but great to pick up dinner. They have a very nice looking salad bar, offer pizza by the slice, a nacho/taco bar, soup, sushi, subs, chicken, etc. Probably a great fit for the location. But for such a large store I was a bit disappointed in the selection of other items. Only ONE unsalted canned tomato offering. Couldn't find the Green Mountain Gringo salsa I was looking for. I remember ordering turkey sausage when I was using their online shopping service and they didn't even have that in stock only pork sausage. So Yeah, it's a nice store in a great location but don't be picky if you're trying to cook at home. If you're just buying a prepared dinner, you'll have lots to choose from. read more

It's frustrating how frequently this store is out of items I'm looking for - It doesn't matter if I go at 9 am, 3 pm, 9 pm or 12 am. Their produce section is poorly stocked when nothing is even on a sale. Luckily the Farmer's Market is nearby so I've been going to this Kroger less and less. Recently, though, I've been driving further to Publix to find what I'm looking for when I need more than what the Farmer's Market has to offer. Side note, Kroger's butchers don't seem to have the vaguest idea how to cut a steak. I'm not asking for much - just some semblance of even thickness. Don't go here if you want to refill any drugstore cosmetic item. I wanted to buy a gloss and foundation both sold here and they've been out of stock for months. Okay, let me rephrase because I'm afraid you misunderstood me. They haven't restocked and I continue missing the items, no. The shelves have been the same empty for THREE months - and that's just when I started keeping track! What's the point of having a cosmetic section if you don't restock it? I get that shoplifting happens and so not enough has been bought to trigger a reorder... But does no one look at that section? Again, why even have it? It's just a waste of store real estate at that point, right? I've got a bet going with my friend for how long it'll be before they restock any cosmetics. I bought the items I wanted elsewhere, but this is just funny. Lastly, the biggest reason I'm writing this is to complain about a specific worker. I don't even know his name. He's a tall guy who always has a beanie on and works late stocking shelves. He's harassed me on multiple occasions so I try to avoid him and if you're a woman you should try to avoid him too. Complaining about him didn't seem to do anything because it didn't stop and he's been there years. That's all I'm going to say on that. read more

I've been to this store a number of times to grab a thing or two. Since the freezers we're down at a nearby Aldi, I recently visited for a full grocery store haul and it was a mess. I like the Kroger branded foods (soups, frozen meats) and their deli. Yes, this grocery store is huge and has a lot of products. Unfortunately, most of it is junk food. This place is also kind trashed. The merchandising isn't attractive. The produce section leaves much to be desired. Skip this place is you're looking for a quick shopping experience. Go here if you have an hour to shop and want a variety of items, including highly processed items. read more

This is my local Kroger at moment. I must say that this location has made major strides because of renovations. This used to be a very unorganized store but that has changed tremendously. They totally revamped EVERYTHING. I'm sure Wal-Mart moving into the area(boo!) had a hand in these renovations happening but this is an occurrence where competition worked out well. The deli, bakery, hot food, and a few other departments are state of the art. It seems like the employees are overall happier with their work environment also. Also, I MUST give a huge shout out to one employee particularly: MRS. VIRGINIA!!!! Mrs. Virginia is the sweetest and most helpful employee at this location. She is a gem! She is the reason I love to shop at this location so much. She's a really small, older lady with the spunk of a 20 year old. Never once in my million times shopping at this location has Mrs. Virginia passed by me without speaking & asking me if I needed help find anything. She knows where EVERYTHING is....I've asked her weird crap on purpose just to see if she knows and she always does. Lol Virginia is the definition of a great employee and you all should use her as the model of what an employee should be! read more

I have never had a problem finding the items I need at this Kroger, and it always seems to be well maintained. I usually go through the self-check out so I can't comment on how the employees are, but on the off chance I had to ask for something the employee knew where it was. I am only dropping it down a star because I hate that it is no longer 24/7 store. It was the only 24/7 store in the area, save maybe CVS, where I could do my late night grocery shopping. But I honestly don't know if that was a chain decision or by location. I do like that late at night they do have a security guard standing by the door, and I have noticed that over the year and a half that I have lived over this way they have gotten the homeless not to sleep on their outside furniture (that is for sale). Not that it bothers me....just an observation. read more

IT TOOK OVER A HALF AN HOUR TO BUY PROPANE TODAY. I will never attempt to do this here again. I don't recommend you do either. Here's why. 1st of all its busy as H-E double hockey sticks in here and there's all of 3 people working register. This poor kid is getting slammed at the self checkout line we go through. He spends over 20 minutes looking for this ONE PERSON (only one person in this whole store has a key? Okay.) to get me a key for the propane case. He comes back, obviously frustrated and I'm sure I looked PISSED because I am. I told him it wasn't his fault and he said customer service could potentially help us out. My boyfriend has now been in the customer service line for over 15 minutes and I am still sitting here by our empty propane tank. UPDATE: He just came back out and we had to get a refund because NO ONE COULD HELP US. Not one person in the entire store. I guess we just won't cook dinner tonight! Have driven by this store many times, even bought tires at the tire store in the same shopping center last year. Always assumed it was like any other Kroger store. That all changed when my son happened to stop in one day and found a product he'd seen outed online but hadn't seen elsewhere. He came home and told me how large, clean and well organized the store was and that I had to check it out. A few days later I did exactly that. Immediately after walking through the doors I saw a huge difference between this store and the one where I usually shop, on Memorial Drive. First, yes it is BIG. Example, my local store has half an aisle of wine selections; this store has multiple aisles just for wine and specialty beers, all of which is clearly labeled by type like some fancy "spirits" shop LOL -- so if that's your thing you'd love it. As other reviewers have noted, they have an extensive section, near the bakery, of prepared foods if you don't want to cook but also don't want to settle for the usual rotisserie chicken or cold sub options most stores have. The variety is immense and everything looks delicious, from the fresh sushi to the pizza. Produce section is beautifully displayed with everything looking fresh and inviting. Same for the meats and bakery. They even have a good-sized "home" section with lots of stuff my other Kroger doesn't sell at all, like large plastic storage bins, all kinds of essential oils, even bed pillows! Second, I notice mixed reviews about employees at this location. Since this was my first time there I can only vouch for the ones I directly interacted with, but I must say my experience was wonderful. I especially have to give kudos to Dmitri, the young man working in the meat department the other evening when I was there. I was looking for the same ready-to-eat product my son had purchased before I but couldn't find it, being somewhat disoriented in this larger store. Dmitri was arranging things in the fresh meat case way at the other end of where I was but I went over and asked him for help. When I showed him a picture of the product on my phone, he knew immediately what it was and exactly where it was located, stopped his current task and walked me right over to the product, with a friendly smile. I was shopping pretty late in the evening after work and was frankly surprised to get such friendly attentive service because I've shopped at places where employees, if you can get their attention at all, do not seem to know the product you're looking for or are not knowledgeable about where it might be located or even if it is carried by the store. This young man was the total opposite, and I hope his boss reads this and acknowledges him going out of his way to be helpful and friendly even though he was busy doing something else when I approached. Sure, that should be standard service everywhere, but unfortunately we all know it is not. So hey Kroger manager of this N. Decatur Rd. location, treat Dmitri in the meat department right! He's a great reflection on your store, which is now my new default Kroger. It's a few minutes further away from me but totally worth it.
