I avoid Walmart because shopping there is generally an awful experience but I needed moving boxes and my local hardware store was out of stock. I looked at their website and they showed them in stock and if you buy 10 you get a small discount instead of buying them individually. I went in dreading the visit but ran into a helpful person in the front who directed me to stationery. After wandering around a while I found an employee who said they're actually in hardware. I found the boxes but couldn't find and banded sets of ten so I assumed the volume discount would apply. I went to the self checkout registers and asked the employee if they needed to multiply my order by ten for the volume discount to apply. They said, no, just scan in all of them and the discount will appear as the end. When it didn't discount I showed the employee and she wouldn't fix it so I asked for a manager. After a few minutes he showed up and flatly refused to honor the online price unless I went home and placed a pickup order, then drove back to get my discount. I declined and drove to a hardware store that had moving boxes even cheaper so it worked out well. Every few years I try walmart to see if anything has changed but they're always consistently awful experiences. This time I've learned my lesson and I'll never shop at one again, so thanks for that. read more

It seems many negative reviews are related to delivery issues or discrepancies between the app vs the actual store experience. That said, we noticed this location has both garage and outdoor parking. There are escalators and an elevator from the garage. The store was poorly lit, and one of the self-checkout machines had a problem with the credit card reader. We found everything we needed and more. They do check receipts, but I'm pretty sure they don't actually verify them, which I find amusing. read more

The customer service and organization at this store is almost non existent. If I could give zero stars, I would. It's very unfortunate that the only Walmart in the area lacks professionalism. If you're a mother using WIC trying to buy groceries for your kids, forget about it. None of the items that are supposed to ring up for WIC actually ring up. A few years ago I shopped, got to the register, had to put it all back. Imagine the distress on a mother with a young child due to Walmart not doing their job. If you're trying to order pictures and then go in 2 days later to pick them up, forget about it because they won't be ready due to no picture paper available. It never fails. If you want to order delivery from this location, forget about it. The order will never come on time or even that day. DO NOT order delivery from this location. Three times, twice to my office, and now once to my home, I have ordered groceries and paid extra for faster delivery. Today, the order was labeled as attempted and returned to the store. No one called, texted, or otherwise reached out. I have been sitting in view of my driveway all afternoon, and no one has even attempted to come to my house. The customer service representative says my only options are to cancel my order or reschedule for tomorrow. I ordered at noon today for delivery before 3 pm. This place has limited parking up front and an entire parking garage below. This is a supercenter so they have groceries, frozen food, car supplies, and everything else you can think of. The place is clean with bright lights. I did not have any problems finding what I wanted and they actually had cashiers to check me out. I will return. read more

I went to this location of this big box retail giant this morning at 7:15AM. The Store opens at 6:00AM so based on what I was looking for (ink cartridges & paper for my printer ), I figured I had better get there a few minutes after opening. So there would be enough people around. I was right in my assumption the printer ink cartridges would be in a locked glass case; & a manager would have to produce said keys. At least three employees told me I'd have to come back later (8:00 AM) when a manager who had key access was around. Even customer care (at front of store ) said the same thing. But I refused to give up. Eventually a manager by the name of Que (Cue?) was able to help me and proffer up the elusive ink case keys. So I didn't have to wait an hour or 45 minutes to buy the ink cartridges. I am a fan of this location and will come back for more "access" challenge items that are typically locked in a case. I remember a simpler time back in the day when items in stores didn't have to be locked up in glass cases. It's a shame that a few bad people (shoplifters) ruin things for the honest / law abiding majority of customers read more

However, no matter how busy the location is, you have to meet the needs of the customers. Hire more people, change management, etc. The service should be a lot better. If you go into the store, the wait times are horrible. If you call, you will never get a representative no matter which department you try and connect to. I've been to this Walmart a few times and am always re-shocked at how big it is compared to the rinky-dink ones I'm used to back in the northeast. Parking is easy since there's plenty underground and even more outside. The produce is always being restocked as well as the other aisles. On my most recent unfortunate need to go here it was like three employees where having some sort of petty argument over the intercom. What were they saying? Who the hell knows it was squaked at top volume and repeated 5 or 6 times. And I'm sure I know what it wasn't about... helping any customers! Seriously, they ought to shut this place down. The parking garage smells like piss and weed. There's no drive-thru for the pharmacy. The automotive department is a joke. The meat all looks like it's on the way out. I use to work here, and ultimately quit this past Spring. I enjoyed my bosses, Lauric and Zoey. They were amazing. However, as a whole, the management team there is a travesty. Favoritism and lack of help being given to associate's needing help. The selection of items is atrocious. Things are constantly in the wrong spot. I will say that the value of the meat and produce is pretty good. I have no issue there. I started out as a cashier and was ultimately put at the service desk. By far, the most traumatizing and mentally draining position at Walmart and the most traumatizing and mentally draining Walmart I've ever worked at. After being told to unalive myself by a customer and being cussed out by customers daily for Walmart's return policy, I decided that enough is enough and quit in April. I just couldn't do it anymore. And what did management tell me? Basically to deal with it. Maybe things have gotten better there. I honestly don't know. But unless management gets itself in order, I don't see myself coming back to work there ever again. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Yesterday, I placed a delivery order on the walmart.com website. I've had problems with Walmart delivery several times. Usually , when I call the corporate office, they give me a code to receive a discount, usually $5 or $10. Yesterday (Thursday), I placed an order, using the discount code for$10 off.. A couple of hours later, I got a message saying that my delivery was cancelled. I called 1-800-WALMART. I was told that the order was canceled by the driver with no reason given. The person I spoke with said that the driver wasn't allowed to do that and he would lose his job because of it. The order was rescheduled for today (Friday). Shortly after rescheduling it, I got an e-mail saying that my order couldn't be delivered and I wouldn't be charged for the order. I called and spoke with someone. I said because of continuing delivery problems, this was going to be my last order. The hold was released from my debit card. I told them that I wanted the $10 plus $5 that I had another code for be put back on my debit card. They refused. I said that it wasn't my fault that the order was canceled and I no longer wanted the "credit". I asked for the $10 plus the $5 for the other code be refunded to my debit card. They refused. The "Walmart cash" was no longer showing on my account. I was told that it was still there and would be applied when I checked out. I wanted a refund and I asked to speak with a supervisor. After waiting on hold for over a half an hour, the same person came back and said he was a supervisor. He was rude and said that they don't put money back on credit cards. I was on the phone with him for another half an hour. I was told that I would have to place another order to get my money back. He said that it was a "gift", therefore it couldn't be converted to cash. I said that it wasn't a gift; it was given to me as compensation for their poor service and mistakes. Now I'm out $15 because I won't do business with Walmart anymore. The order was canceled by Walmart, not by me. They don't have a right to hold my money hostage, because of something happening on their end. I'm furious. It's not about the $15 as much as it's about the pettiness of them stealing from me. We stopped by this Walmart Supercenter on a Saturday afternoon after having lunch in the same shopping center, Suburban Plaza. This is a relatively new Walmart (opened 2015) and shopping center. There's really not much that differentiates this Walmart Supercenter from other Walmart Supercenters I've been to, in cities big and small. It does have an underground parking garage which I recommend parking in due to the limited surface lot area outside. When we visited, the escalator that brings shopping carts down to the garage was out of order. Also, one of two elevators was out of order. Therefore, if you wanted to bring a shopping cart to your car parked in the garage, you'd have to wait on the one working elevator. I guess one working elevator is better than nothing, but on a busy Saturday, it was not a good situation. We picked up various groceries and household supplies. I'm a regular at my neighborhood Walmart on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta. The layout of this store in Decatur threw me off. I didn't know where anything was and I felt like a chicken walking around with its head cut off. This store was busier and more congested than my regular Walmart on a Saturday. One thing I have to hand to Walmart is, in my experience, they usually have fresh and good quality bananas on Saturdays and Sundays. I was able to find some here for $0.40/lb. The kale selection was sad and did not look good so instead we picked up kale across the street at Sprouts Farmers Market. We did pick up some asparagus, but in hindsight, should have purchased it from Sprouts because: (a) Sprouts' asparagus was organic, better quality, and cheaper and (b) when cleaning Walmart's asparagus at home, my fiancee found mold on it. Yikes. This Walmart is bigger than my regular Walmart (also classified as a Supercenter) and it has a better selection. For example, this Walmart has an entire aisle dedicated to wine and it sells live fish for aquariums. You can get various house-baked pies here for only $3.98 a pie. They have apple pie with cinnamon, Dutch apple pie, caramel apple pie, and cherry pie (dunno if it's damn good). While we were shopping, they made an announcement over the speaker system that free jewelry was being given away to *every* customer in the store. Customers were directed to a jewelry counter to claim their free jewelry. This was close to the toiletries section and when we made our way over there, it was obvious what the crowd of people was for. There was a lady with a headset on giving her sales pitch for what I presume to be a particular brand of jewelry. The rows of people surrounding her were 3-4 deep. It looked like a live infomercial. Despite all the people, checkout wasn't bad. All the checkout lanes staffed with employees were backed up with customers with packed carts. We entered the self-checkout line which moved at a relatively brisk pace. We had no issues checking out, but it was inconvenient when the cart escalator was broken and there was only one working elevator to the garage. We emptied our cart and carried our bags down the stairs instead. read more

I ordered 4 tires on Walmart web site. Nothing but trouble that day on. I had a appointment for installation and the man at the service center said I didn't. He went to check on my tires and said that only 2 was delivered and they was the wrong size. I called to cancel the order, that was three weeks and 5 phone calls ago. The refunded two tires and I'm still waiting for refund on two more. It's funny how they can take $400 from you account all at once but can't give it back. read more

I did my weekly shopping at Wal-Mart today. One employee check-stand open with 13 folks in a long line. The self-serve line had over 25 people and I had to wait over 20 minutes to check myself out. This Walmart super center has all our needs. I love all of the extra Christmas decorations they have, gingerbread houses, candy canes, ugly Christmas sweaters you name it. I came for specific items in the Asian aisle and they had everything I needed. I found my healthy kale celery drinks here as well as kimchee! The store is not socially distanced enforced besides staff and customers wearing masks and hand sanitizer being provided. Aisles seem narrow and on the small side but well stocked. Staff of friendly and the have plenty of self check out areas. There are plenty of other stores in the same parking lot-Ross, Starbucks and the like. They have an added parking structure below the store with plenty of parking. read more

While in Walmart attempting to check out, I encountered significant difficulties with the cashier. Initially, he displayed a clear reluctance to serve customers in his line, directing us elsewhere without so much as a greeting. When I attempted to use both a Walmart gift card and the Walmart app for payment, he informed me that split payment was not allowed, adding unnecessary frustration to the situation. Despite my request for assistance from a manager, the cashier continued to resist, resulting in a tense standoff until the manager intervened. Although the manager provided excellent service and resolved the issue promptly, the cashier's subsequent behavior, including yelling about insufficient funds, was unacceptable. Such incidents detract from the shopping experience and reflect poorly on the store's customer service standards. Piss Poor don't you think ?! read more

I ordered pick up and got bacon and ground beef. Both expired by DAYS with a milky white slime visible in the package. So obviously bad and rotten. To get a refund they want me to return bad meat to the store, probably so they can try to resell it again which defeats the ease and purpose of using pick up. All of the prices are wrong and the csm had to void out 6 + items that caused me to wait half a freaking hour to pay... on top of that she was mouthing me off saying if I wasn't so cheap that it wouldn't take so long. I have had incredibly good luck in using Costco and Amazon home online ordering and delivery so I thought Walmart might be just as good. Bad decision, I joined Walmart+ and have periodically ordered items from Walmart. If delivery is done via Fedex, no problem. If delivery is done by the local Walmart store, BIG problem. Their delivery people seem to have problems finding an address during the day that's less than 2 miles from the store. Twice they've supposedly attempted delivery AT NIGHT to a senior condo complex that closes its doors at 7 P.M. Now, I'm without the item and due to "corporate policies" I'm also unable to cancel it. I'm amazed by how such a new Walmart could have such old and dirty stairs, as well as an old, dirty, nonfunctioning escalator. The down escalator and cart carrier is literally NEVER working, lol. This Walmart is convenient, but the shelves are in general disarray and they seem to be a bit slow in restocking hot items and toys. Employees have not appeared eager to help, and nor do they greet you in the store. The only employee who spoke to me was the individual who checked my receipt and said goodbye as we left. The real kicker is how gross the fish tanks are. I'm not surprised by the dirty water Beta cups picture that another reviewer posted. In literally every tank, there was 1-3 dead catfish (of the smaller variety) floating and being picked at by the other fish. These fish didn't die yesterday or today- no. Instead, these dead fish had been decomposing for so long that a few of them were almost only bones. I'll post pictures. YUCK!!!! Edit 12/20/18 EWWW. This Walmart has gotten worse. The down escalator and cart mover is NEVER working.... literally- never. So this makes for very long elevator lines to the parking deck. When I asked about bringing more associates to check out lanes (since only 3 were open and the lines were clogging the main aisle so badly that shoppers couldn't get through at all), they told me that their employees had not reported to work. Meanwhile, 8 employees in yellow vests stood around talking at the front of the store. This place is bogus. After many visits to store, they don't know where it is and suggested I contact Fuji myself. Came here with my mom July 5th 2021 at 1:30 pm we pulled up to spot 2 at curbside pickup and knocked on the door bc my moms app wasn't working, I knocked and I looked inside the window and there were atleast 6 people standing around and no one came to the door finally Joey came to the door to assist us in getting our order to the car.
