I had to switch to this location because the CVS location I went to previously has closed. On both occasions, they have acted like it's a big hassle to apply the discount card for my prescription, which saves me $70. They have a really inefficient process that requires the customer to wait in line to get their prescription, then go wait in another line to get the rebate/discount, then go back to the first line to pay. Other pharmacies allow you to accomplish more than one thing after waiting in line. read more

The parking lot situation it's like the customers can't see you and they pull out of their parking spots almost hitting you customers walking out in front of your car while you're driving is insanity at the CVS. This isn't my usual CVS I go to, but today this was one was on my route of errands to run. I was absolutely blown away with how wonderful the front clerk, Tyler, was. He went out of his way (and absolutely above and beyond the necessary duties!) to help not only me, but also the elderly gentleman in front of me. You can tell Tyler loves serving other people and does it with a smile and a wonderful attitude. I made an appointment for my daughter for 3:40 pm appointment for a vaccine shot. We arrived 10 minutes early and checked in, then saw someone at 3:40 to provide the info that I already provided two days earlier in the pre-check info that I filled out 2 days prior. Apparently the system does not connect and it is pointless to fill out the pre check info in advance, as you just have to do it again. Then we waited for over 60 minutes for the vaccine. If it was possible to give the pharmacy zero stars I would. Every time I come, my prescription is never ready even if I receive notification that my prescription is ready. I waited on the phone for over an hour and finally came into the store to see that they have my phone line on hold with no line in store, just them laughing around. Of course they did not have my prescription ready and told me it would take another hour to fill, i .e. Meaning they were just now filing it. They have no customer service and are a serious liability to those of us with health conditions that are relying on our meds being filled timely. read more

If i could give this Covid drive-thru zero star i would. I had a 10.50am appointment time, i arrived 15 mins prior and was 4th car in line. I could see the other cars had no passenger with them and therefore thought it would be quick. When i finally got to the window, i had already waited 1hr! This is ridiculous! I spent 5 mins giving her my information despite already having set up my profile on the CVS portal prior and my insurance information is also in there. And i have on my online profile done 2 tests prior. Only after that she said she would print my label and gather my kit. That took another 5 mins In my previous test at this same location, 3rd car in line, got to the window after 35 mins . Same girl at the counter. This is inefficient, what's the point of making an appointment and only getting attended to 1 hr after your appointed time? I did my first test in CVS Rome GA and with 2 people in my car, i was the 3rd car in line and was at the window in 15 mins. This clinic called me an hour prior to my appointment time to confirm my attendance. When i got to the window, she verified our ids and was given the kit almost immediately. She had them all prepped. My pregnant girlfriend got a c-section at the hospital across the street a couple days ago. She was discharged at 12 pm today. We had an order for pain medication for her for her major surgery. She can barely sit up without immense pain. Came by around noon, they had 3/4 meds. The pain meds she was missing they did not have said they cannot send the order out to another pharmacy. Ok, no problem. Our doctor called CVS pharm and ordered some meds they did have in stock at around 1:30 to 2pm. I am standing in line now still. 8:55 pm. I get a lot of CVS coupons via email so I am in here pretty often. Most of the time to buy baby stuff- gripe water, multivitamin drops, formula, etc. I can't always find the exact brand that I wanted, but something similar is always in stock. Big props to the helpful staff. I can provide one example. I got these coupons for some Similac. But they look like checks. No place I took them could figure out how to process them. Well, the lady checking me out doesn't either. BUT she says she will talk to one of the managers and to come back tomorrow so that they can process the purchase. I come back the next day, the lady remembers me, and she teaches the cashier checking me out how to do it. MUCH BETTER than the stores that just said they didn't know how to do it and left it at that. Parking is a bit tight. High traffic as they do COVID testing. I called in and asked if they had an item. I asked how the lady was doing, she said what do you want... talk about cruddy customer service. Then she said I'll check for your item, but it'll be a good minute because I'm busy. I came into the store, found my item and she was off putting as I checked out. This is a 24/7 cvs, and it's 5 am, but that doesn't excuse her for a lack of courtesy or being nice. There was someone who got there and checked in 20 minutes after me, WENT HOME to get his Covid card that he forgot, came back and still had his name called before me! I had a Covid test appt today at 7pm. I arrived 30 mins early. When I pulled up, it looked deserted... so I decided to call & make sure everything was good to go. I waited on hold for 20 mins. Finally someone picks up & tells me that everything is good & they will call me when it's time for my test. By the time I hang up, it's 6:55. I'm patiently waiting... at 7:30, I decided to pull up to the drive thru to see what's going on. Do you know the lady at the window told me "oh I'm so sorry, they left at 7:00" HUH?!?!?! Wow. This was my third time calling. The first two times I was on hold for 20 minutes. I ended the call the first time. The second time someone at cvs disconnected the call. I called a neighboring cvs to see if they could help me and they said that this location is always busy and it takes an average of 45 min to get them on the phone. I finally drove to a different cvs and had them call for me. It took them 20 minutes to get in touch with anyone, even the general store manager. These CVS locations have caller ID, knew it was a neighboring store, and still refused to pickup. Finally the cvs associate I was talking to in person had to use a personal phone and call the store manager at this Decatur cvs and have them walk the phone back to the pharmacist to get them to talk. read more

I had an appointment for 5:15 pm for a covid booster. I got there at 5 since that's what I was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I checked in and waited and waited and waited. Then, people who came in 20-25 minutes AFTER me started getting called in. I double checked with the person who checked me in and she, in fact, did check me in. I peeped in the back to ask if and where my name was on the list. That just scared the nurse and she disappeared and about 15-20 more minutes went by. When someone finally started calling names again, I asked in between patients where my name was and there were 3 more people in front of me. People who came in long after me and long my appointment time! I didn't get my shot until 6:05. Again, my appointment was at 5:15 pm and I arrived at 5 pm. I don't mind waiting. But when I'm waiting for an hour to get service and other people come in well after me and get service before me, and they've only waited a few minutes for the exact same service, there's a problem. I got my first two shots at a vaccination drive sponsored by Walgreens offsite at a church with no computers and hundreds of people in line. It took me less time there than at a CVS location with computers and less than 20 people waiting. Your system sucks and it's not due to covid. It's because your system somehow allows people to jump the line. I've been coming to CVS for years. But after this, I'm not so sure I want to continue. There's a Walgreens and a Kroger just two minutes away. I going to try one of them for my prescriptions, etc. If I could give zero stars I would. However, I will say that Eric gave me my shot and he was very pleasant. I give him 5 stars. read more

This location's Pharmacy is consistently understaffed and even when prescriptions are called in early in the day, they are frequently not ready until the next day. With so many other options in the area (Walmart, Publix, etc), CVS should really consider improving the quality of service at this store before they lose more customers permanently. read more

This CVS has lied to me on three separate occasions THIS WEEK, stating that a medication that I have to take DAILY would be ordered on 1) Monday, 12/3/2018 and in on Tuesday, 12/4. 2) Still on order Tuesday, 12/4/2018, would be in on Wednesday 12/5. 3) I get a text on 12/5 that the meds are in, stand in line for a half-hour, to be told they don't have it, and that IT STILL HASN'T BEEN ORDERED as of 12/5 at 7:00 PM! I can't say that I am particularly fond of this CVS. It is open 24 hours so that's a plus. However, they just seem really overpriced. Sometimes I go if I need something in a pinch and don't feel like going to Publix/Other Store but the high markup is a turnoff. Maybe they overcharge and coast since they're across the street from DeKalb Medical. Back into the arms of Publix for me, I suppose. read more

I had such a pain in the rear end insurance run in, while the storm decided to let the clouds to let out, my migraine decided to peek out and say hello, my car decided to resign right before I got here, and we have tons of people waiting at the house because we are just now moving in...perfect strangers....Yes this poor girl got to deal with me and all my baggage and she did it so sweetly and kindly and by the end I wasn't even upset or bothered I had to spend over three hundred bucks that the insurance is probably never going to get around too! Great CVS! I came here with a pulled shoulder muscle to the minute clinic, thinking i'd get service. Wasn't aware that it was only a flu/cold type service! Even still, after a chuckle, the Dr. gave me advice on what I could buy in store and told me about another Dr. nearby who could help. This CVS is also right next to my Dentist's office, so when I need a pain prescription asap, I can just walk right next door and service is usually done quickly. read more

I was refused the medication I need for pain management on. Christmas Day because,I was told they just started getting verifications on class 2 medications. I tried three times and each time I let the pharmacist know I was in immense pain, and if they just checked my profile they could see this is a regularly prescribed medication that I have taken for some time. After my third visit to plea with the pharmacist, I was told that I was harassing her and the police would be called! Just for trying to get my meds! These people are cold and heartless. For good health, go to Wal-Greens. Update: 2020- I know it's COVID -19 and all but why the hell would someone have to wait 1:27 minutes at the prescription drive thru? Isn't that why there are two Lines? Even when I sent a note asking for help through the air tube, and calling the pharmacy and being put on hold, I waited for nearly two hours for service. We waited all day for a call for the RX. They don't answer the phone, so I couldn't find out what the hold up was. I called my neighborhood CVS. They looked up the RX and discovered that the insurance wouldn't pay the $450 cost. Why didn't I get a text from the pharmacy about that! My wonderful pharmacy tech applied a RX discount card and checked the price. Still over $300. We went to COSTCO and got it for $60. read more

If I could go somewhere else, I would. Consistently throughout my almost 15 years of living in the north Decatur area. I have had to go to the CVS for all of my prescriptions not one time have any of the pharmacists treated me with care or even acted like they wanted to be there, today was the final nail in the coffin for me as I got Orlando in the pick up line to "help" me check out. I have had a speech impediment since birth and have a difficult time speaking. Orlando rushed me throughout my transaction with him when I kindly explain to him that I have a speech impediment he ignored me, and simply continued to rush me through the questions, interrupting me at several points, which forced me to have to restart my speech, which made the process take longer all while looking very annoyed that he had to deal with my disability. You would think that individuals that work in a healthcare field of any kind would have at least some form of human compassion. Orlando did not have that for me today. read more
