Great…read moreselection of products: Walgreens is no Target, but they have a decent selection of Shea Moisture products that are often on sale and are at least three bucks cheaper than the hair store across the street. They also have other hair products for women with natural hair. 2. Convenient: Let's be honest - sometimes you just don't feel like going to the big box stores- You can grab the items you need right away and prolong you next visit to Target/walmart/publix/Kroger . 3. Redbox: There is a redbox inside with no line- unless my husband and I are there. The Cons: 1. No Customer Service: the cashiers are usually friendly, and the photography and/or cosmetics section will open when the checkout line is long. However, the people in the floor are SLOW. I waited ten minutes for someone to unlock baby formula for me- after I went to the pharmacy- the only department that did not have a line- and an announcement was made over the loudspeaker that I needed assistance. Pitiful! Overall, best place to grab a few emergency items if you live in this area, but don't expect any small store courtesy while you are here. Get a Walgreens card, as there is always something on sale.

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and delivery experience I recently had with…read morethe Walgreens location on Candler Road in Decatur, GA. I placed my same-day prescription delivery order on Thursday before the 4:00 PM cutoff. However, my prescriptions were not delivered that day. On Friday morning, I contacted the pharmacy to find out when I could expect my delivery. Unfortunately, neither the pharmacy technician nor the pharmacist was able to provide me with an ETA. At that point, I was extremely frustrated and told the pharmacist to cancel the delivery. I was not feeling well and really did not want to have to pay for an Uber to Walgreens, especially after I had already paid for prescription delivery. I later checked the Walgreens app and saw that my delivery was still showing as active. I called the pharmacy back to let them know that, if the courier was still coming, I wanted my prescriptions given to them. Unfortunately, I was unable to get anyone on the phone for hours. On one occasion, someone answered the phone, immediately said, "Could you please hold?" and placed me on hold without waiting for a response. This happened four separate times. I was left on hold for so long that the store operator eventually advised me to call back. The only way I was finally able to reach someone in the pharmacy was by calling the front of the store and having them transfer me. This entire experience was extremely frustrating and has honestly made me consider taking my business elsewhere. I am a certified pharmacy technician myself, so I completely understand how busy and stressful a retail pharmacy can be. I have a great deal of patience and understanding for pharmacy staff, especially when they are short-staffed. However, customers should not have to spend hours trying to reach someone at their pharmacy, particularly when they are waiting on medications they need. I strongly believe the Candler Road location needs additional staffing and/or better processes for handling prescription deliveries and phone calls. I hope Walgreens takes this complaint seriously and looks into what happened at this location. Customers deserve better communication, especially when it concerns their medications.

That said, we noticed this location has both garage and outdoor parking. There are escalators and an elevator from the garage. The store was poorly lit, and one of the self-checkout machines had a problem with the credit card reader. We found everything we needed and more. They do check receipts, but I'm pretty sure they don't actually verify them, which I find amusing.

I looked at their website and they showed them in stock and if you buy 10 you get a small discount instead of buying them individually. I went in dreading the visit but ran into a helpful person in the front who directed me to stationery. After wandering around a while I found an employee who said they're actually in hardware. I found the boxes but couldn't find and banded sets of ten so I assumed the volume discount would apply. I went to the self checkout registers and asked the employee if they needed to multiply my order by ten for the volume discount to apply. They said, no, just scan in all of them and the discount will appear as the end. When it didn't discount I showed the employee and she wouldn't fix it so I asked for a manager. After a few minutes he showed up and flatly refused to honor the online price unless I went home and placed a pickup order, then drove back to get my discount. I declined and drove to a hardware store that had moving boxes even cheaper so it worked out well. Every few years I try walmart to see if anything has changed but they're always consistently awful experiences. This time I've learned my lesson and I'll never shop at one again, so thanks for that.

I really do get it since I know a lot of pharmacy people. It irritates me that despite having a vaccine appointment, I have to wait a whole hour. This has happened multiple times. Things happen: The cars pile up. Medicine needs verification. But you don't have to have an attitude or scowl on your face. This one student tech was so rude that twice is enough for me to get my prescriptions filled elsewhere. And at the front/general area of the store... Multiple times my items have rung up incorrectly. This last time was it. Both my items failed to ring up the correct price. And the guy ringing me up was proactively talking on the phone while checking me out. Be on the phone. Whatever. But to do it while checking me out with my items having issues... And of course I have plenty more to complain. One employee was coughing to death and was wearing a mask. He should not have been working. I overheard the poor guy say he threw up. Um. I hope he feels better? But why did he even show up? And the MOD didn't think he should have been sent straight home?! #goodbye
