This is the closet location to me, but as of late, I've gone out of my way to avoid this location from the pharmacy to the main store. I get that pharmacy life gets busy. I really do get it since I know a lot of pharmacy people. It irritates me that despite having a vaccine appointment, I have to wait a whole hour. This has happened multiple times. Things happen: The cars pile up. Medicine needs verification. But you don't have to have an attitude or scowl on your face. This one student tech was so rude that twice is enough for me to get my prescriptions filled elsewhere. And at the front/general area of the store... Multiple times my items have rung up incorrectly. This last time was it. Both my items failed to ring up the correct price. And the guy ringing me up was proactively talking on the phone while checking me out. Be on the phone. Whatever. But to do it while checking me out with my items having issues... And of course I have plenty more to complain. One employee was coughing to death and was wearing a mask. He should not have been working. I overheard the poor guy say he threw up. Um. I hope he feels better? But why did he even show up? And the MOD didn't think he should have been sent straight home?! #goodbye read more

I came buy to scoop up some day after Christmas deals because that's what I get excited about in my life now. The problem was that not everything was labeled correctly. We came from the Wal-Mart further down that was better organized than this place. I ended up with some cookies that clearly had Christmas tree decorations on them and was in the clearance section. It didn't ring up correctly. The cashier was on the phone the whole time. Would I come here again? No. I try to avoid CVS and Walgreens as much as I can because everything costs more than Amazon so no I have no reason to come here. read more

Sent in a picture for a poster print and it said it would be ready the next day at 9am. I went in after I got an email that it was ready and the person told me "those emails are automated" and that they weren't accurate. Long story short, they were out of ink and couldn't print my poster I needed that day, and they didn't know when they were getting ink again. read more

I called to speak to someone and the phone hung up on me (surprise, surprise!). I will be looking for a new pharmacy. i have been going here for the last 10 years. this was the last straw. The lady who gave me my Covid booster seemed capable, so there's that. Prior to that, I stood in line and was completely ignored for over five minutes. Luckily, they had a sign for a QR code and I figured out how to check myself in. If I had been there to pick up medication, I guess I would have needed a sleeping bag. This is the Worst. Walgreens. Ever. We got in the drive thru line for COVID tests at 11:55 am. By 12:15 pm, they ask what we are there for (2 cars originally in front). We have 4 COVID tests appointment scheduled, one for 12 noon, 12:15, 12:30, and 12:45 pm. They tell us they can only run two tests at a time. At this point it is 12:28. We have been in line for 30 minutes. They tell us they can only test two of us, and we will need to circle back around the drive thru. Since I have to go to work, I agree, but husband is stuck in the line from hell waiting to get the two kids tested. Erick, the manager of Pharmacy was no help either. Please just Donny waste you time coming to this Walgreens. This is my first 1 star review ever, so please regard this as a warning to your valuable time. Just. Don't. Go. There. I needed to get a flu shot and COVID booster for my three year old, I called Walgreens and asked specifically if they would do vaccines for a child her age, and I was told yes. We arrive for the appt and we are then told that they won't do vaccines on any children under 5. Big waste of time, and an unnecessary delay in getting my daughter her vaccines because apparently nobody at Walgreens knows their own policies. read more

Not the friendliest pharmacy drive-thru, but after picking up prescriptions twice I understand a little more why that may be the case. Located right near a large hospital, it's an easy to drive-in (a little more complicated trying to leave) location. The first time I came here, I had transferred my prescriptions from another Walgreens location since I recently moved to the area. No one was in the drive-thru line, and I noticed when I pulled up that the infrastructure seems a bit dated - I'm guessing this is one of their older locations. The pharmacy tech simply pushed out the drawer and stared at me...I stared back. This went on for 2 solid minutes, no words exchanged. I finally said "Can I help you?" as if the customer is supposed to initiate dialogue. She picked up the phone that they use as a two-way intercom and asked if I was picking-up or dropping off. I had to repeat my name for her several times, but I eventually got the medicine. My second time, the tech was a bit nicer, but she had to hold her ear next to the open drawer (which doesn't have some of the features that other locations have) to hear me. I'm guessing that a building upgrade may improve the experience here greatly. read more

I've never experienced such terrible service at a pharmacy. Every single month I deal with the run around of not being able to get anyone on the phone, being hung up on, and being put on hold the second the phone starts to dial. EVERY SINGLE MONTH. I'm treated like a criminal for trying to get my f***ing medication I'm prescribed!!!! It's absolutely absurd behavior. I honestly hate doing bad reviews but their pharmacy is alarmingly bad. I have given them so many chances but they consistently drop the ball. They say they don't receive subscriptions sent from my doctors (when I can clearly see have been sent in MyChart). I have also been overcharged multiple times on medications I pick up regularly. Once I told the person behind the counter to make sure my insurance is still on file because price was incorrect and he asked if it was usually free with my insurance; I said yes so he ripped off the price tag and stapled a new one on so he can scan it for $0...without looking anything up. Seemed suspect imo. The final straw was going to pick-up my medication yesterday after receiving a call from Imani that it was ready only to be told they don't have any kind of order with my name on it. SMH. read more

I was on Round 2 of antibiotics for a miserable and lingering sinus infection. The doctor prescribed a REALLY powerful antibiotic at a dosage that my pharmacy did not have in stock. They ordered the antibiotic, though, and it was to be back in stock by Monday (it was Friday). I was so miserable that I couldn't wait that long to start the meds. My Walgreens helped me find a nearby Walgreens that DID have the medication at the proper dosage. When they couldn't get me the whole week's worth of meds, my Walgreens showed up for me and got me the rest of the medication. I took my last dose today and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! My Walgreens is at 585 DeKalb Industrial Way in Decatur, GA. They are amazing and really a great team of people! I would highly recommend! read more

I went here to get flu shots for myself and my daughter, and we made appointments. The pharmacy was in chaos and one of the pharmacists who was the injector ignored us. The clerk made us fill out paperwork that we had already filled out online because the pharmacists "couldn't find it," and then she took about 30 minutes to put it into the system (the phone kept ringing). We waited an hour after hour appointment times and were charged $35 for my daughter's shot (she is on her dad's insurance)! I have never been to a pharmacy so disorganized, and we have never been charged for the flu shot. DON'T GO HERE FOR YOUR VACCINES! read more

Absolutely sickening experience. I was trying to fill a prescription that's hard to find due to supply chain issues atm. After checking several pharmacies, this place told me that they had it. I waited 2 hours as requested and came back. The script was for 2 separate pills. They told me they had one ready but were waiting on the other, so I waited an additional 20 minutes. Then it was oops just kidding! We never had the second pill to begin with. This is medication that I'm prescribed to take daily, and this was precious time I could have spent looking for it elsewhere. The pharmacist wasn't even apolegetic for the epic incompetence of his staff and self. Despite the difficulties I've run into with this medication before, I've never been told a pharmacy had it when they didn't, and then been made to wait. And due to the issues in finding it, I've prob been to like 100 pharmacies in the area. Everything felt so shade and unprofessional at that point, and I wasn't sure what I had to do to protect myself moving forward - it wasn't like I trusted them to tell me. The script I needed to take back had been written on, handled, and I'd gotten a sinking feeling when the guy in front of me was complaining about the same thing beforehand, like this is routine at this trash pharmacy. I asked for the pharmacist's name, and he literally hid his badge from me. Neb is all I got. Then he Threatened me!!! "Pharmacists have egos you know." Wtf is the implication of that? He cares more about that than patient care or customer service? I don't know if pharmacists take a Hippocratic Oath or not, but I think it's still implied that, you know, they should care more about the fact that lives are in their hands than their egos. I beg anyone else who has a similar issue to report it. I'm doing it on every and any platform that I can. This man should absolutely not be in healthcare. read more

Shoutout Neftali G!! Outstanding customer service!! After visiting and calling several other Walgreens to find a specific baby formula, I was desperate. For those of you that have been there, you know how crazy all that can get. This young man answered my phone call at 11:30pm (30 minutes before close) and was incredibly nice, personable and efficient from start to finish. The app was saying that several locations had it in stock, when they didn't. He went above and beyond for this mama and I greatly appreciate his kindness and understanding. He not only advised me to put in a pickup order, but said if I could be there within 20 minutes, he'd fill it for me to pickup. Even though I was unable to go that evening, he went above and beyond for me and I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. Thank you!! read more

Lazy employee violating HIPPA. On 8/11 around 12:20 I made several attempts to contact the pharmacy. They staff would pick up the phone and leave it off the hook (happened several times). While they had me off the hook you could clearly hear them discussion personal confidential information with customers. Date of birth, last 4 of social, names, address, what prescription they are on, etc. I waited on hold and they never came back so clearly it was call avoidance. read more

I placed an online pickup in store order from the photo department to be picked up yesterday. Before going to the location I called to make sure my order was ready & to make sure I'd be able to pick it up at any time during the business hours. The employee on the phone informed me that my order was ready & that I could pick up my order any time. I arrived to the location around 9:30pm to pick up my item. The first employee who was over in the area said she could not find the item & did not feel good. So I informed her that I called the location & someone said the order was ready & the item was needed today so it was very important that I got it. She continued to say how she did not feel good. I told her I'm sorry she didn't feel good but I needed my items so was there anyone else who could help. The employee from the main register then came over to help & he was not able to find it either. Turns out the item was never printed & they did not have the correct board I needed it printed on. However, the young man Chris really helped us out. He printed the item for us on regular paper & we were able to put something else together. The young man also informed us that the lady who continued to say she didn't feel good was the manager!! Smh, I have never had an employee tell me they don't feel good & could not help me. I really only gave the two stars because Chris was really nice & patient while helping us! read more

I can't believe I haven't written in a review in the several years that I have been going to this store. I don't go here as often as I could as I typically go to CVS due to the many coupons and because I have the CarePass. But often I will go here for a quick run. This is also where I fulfill my prescriptions. They use a text notification system to let you know when your prescription is ready. Convenient. Usually there are no issues with getting orders done, but recently had a prescription for something that was not common and it was not in stock. Crazy thing is that they don't get any orders over the weekend. So we were going to have to wait several days until we could get my son's medicine. What?! It was for an ear infection so we needed it pretty quickly. My partner called around to several Walgreens to find a place that had it in stock. In general, I have a good shopping experience here and prices are fair. read more

If it were not for the staff at this location, I would not use Walgreens. Corporate Walgreens is short staffing this store. Obviously, corporate is lining their pockets at the expense of their customers and employees. Last time I checked, customer is king. I guess not at Walgreens. The short staffing has been a problem for years. It is not just the pharmacy, but the entire store. I use to use the Walgreens in Stone Mountain, GA. Same problem. Today, I was on hold for seven plus minutes. Phone timer let me know my holding time. While on hold, someone picked the phone up very quickly and put me back on hold twice. The second phone call rang and rang and rang. No telling how many times. However, it was multiple times. Finally, the ONLY front staff person came back on. I mentioned the problem to her. She said she was the only staff person since it was Memorial Day weekend. This holding time is consistent between the Decatur, GA and Stone Mountain, GA locationz. It is not just holiday times. It is all the time. I have even been texted that my prescriptions were ready. They were not. Again, If it were not for the staff, I would go the another Medicare approved pharmacy. Like Publix. Walgreens - Shame shame on you. Again this staffing problem is about corporate greed and making sure Walgreens CEO, President etc are compensated hundreds of thousand at your customers and employees expense. read more

There's a rather new pharmacist who has changed the whole feel of the place and not in a good way. Things used to flow until he came on board a few months ago, but now meds aren't in stock and there is always this delay and that delay all with a unprofessional delivery to boot. He's pretty quick with the snide remarks and has little patience for regular customers asking fair questions. He literally yelled at one guest who just needed advice on returning a controlled substance after experiencing side effects. She told him to stop yelling and to watch his tone, but he only doubled down, telling her to take her business elsewhere if she didn't like it or couldn't wait. It appeared intimidating and belittling. After several years with this location, I now drive several miles further to another pharmacy with much better service. People in line were complaining about him, appalled. I hope they raised their voices to corporate or online. That new(er) pharmacist is easily frazzled appearing hysterical at times. He can't be good for business. read more

The pharmacy here is horrible. I have had issues every time I have tried to pick up my prescriptions. From the staff not faxing necessary paperwork for insurance and calling 5 times in one day and then finally having my doctors office call them to get them on the ball to them not being able to fill my prescription once cause they were out and then only partially refill the next month. The pharmacy staff has was really rude to me the last time. If you know you are running low on a certain medication then order more! Don't wait until you run out. I like that this pharmacy is next door but I would rather drive across town at this point. read more

If I could put 0/5 I would. EVERY time I go there is an issue. I usually go via the drive through, wait there about 45mins and then they ask me to come inside because they still haven't began to do my Rx or a prior authorization (those take forever), even though I get an automated call that it's ready. There is one pharmacist there that is really great but I've never seen the same tech there twice and every time I think it's their first day on the job. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more
