The Pros: 1. Great selection of products: Walgreens is no Target, but they have a decent selection of Shea Moisture products that are often on sale and are at least three bucks cheaper than the hair store across the street. They also have other hair products for women with natural hair. 2. Convenient: Let's be honest - sometimes you just don't feel like going to the big box stores- You can grab the items you need right away and prolong you next visit to Target/walmart/publix/Kroger . 3. Redbox: There is a redbox inside with no line- unless my husband and I are there. The Cons: 1. No Customer Service: the cashiers are usually friendly, and the photography and/or cosmetics section will open when the checkout line is long. However, the people in the floor are SLOW. I waited ten minutes for someone to unlock baby formula for me- after I went to the pharmacy- the only department that did not have a line- and an announcement was made over the loudspeaker that I needed assistance. Pitiful! Overall, best place to grab a few emergency items if you live in this area, but don't expect any small store courtesy while you are here. Get a Walgreens card, as there is always something on sale. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and delivery experience I recently had with the Walgreens location on Candler Road in Decatur, GA. I placed my same-day prescription delivery order on Thursday before the 4:00 PM cutoff. However, my prescriptions were not delivered that day. On Friday morning, I contacted the pharmacy to find out when I could expect my delivery. Unfortunately, neither the pharmacy technician nor the pharmacist was able to provide me with an ETA. At that point, I was extremely frustrated and told the pharmacist to cancel the delivery. I was not feeling well and really did not want to have to pay for an Uber to Walgreens, especially after I had already paid for prescription delivery. I later checked the Walgreens app and saw that my delivery was still showing as active. I called the pharmacy back to let them know that, if the courier was still coming, I wanted my prescriptions given to them. Unfortunately, I was unable to get anyone on the phone for hours. On one occasion, someone answered the phone, immediately said, "Could you please hold?" and placed me on hold without waiting for a response. This happened four separate times. I was left on hold for so long that the store operator eventually advised me to call back. The only way I was finally able to reach someone in the pharmacy was by calling the front of the store and having them transfer me. This entire experience was extremely frustrating and has honestly made me consider taking my business elsewhere. I am a certified pharmacy technician myself, so I completely understand how busy and stressful a retail pharmacy can be. I have a great deal of patience and understanding for pharmacy staff, especially when they are short-staffed. However, customers should not have to spend hours trying to reach someone at their pharmacy, particularly when they are waiting on medications they need. I strongly believe the Candler Road location needs additional staffing and/or better processes for handling prescription deliveries and phone calls. I hope Walgreens takes this complaint seriously and looks into what happened at this location. Customers deserve better communication, especially when it concerns their medications. read more

FedEx UNRELIABLE! Their website says they have 2-3 pickups per day, with final pickup at 6pm. They have ONE pickup at 9am - so now the priority shipping I paid for is a complete waste. read more

You will sit in the drive through line for over an hour and half to wait for your prescription. The slowest service I have ever had at a Walgreens ever. Don't use this Walgreens for any service. Corporate should definitely do something about this location. Last time I ever give this location my business. read more

Long lines both in pharmacy and normal store. The staff is clueless. They tell you one thing and then someone else tells you something else. Takes several days to get prescriptions filled correctly they seriously have zero communication skills with each other what so ever. I needed batteries once and they were locked up, the staff said they have no idea where the key is to unlock them. The only upside to this Walgreens is they have slightly more product than the awful Cvs down the street and it's fairly clean. read more

It's that time of the Yr ... Cold, Cough & Flu Season ... for Yrs, I've used Halls Menthol Eucalyptus and switched to Ricola. The other day I found something new on the shelf and decided to try it. I knew it didn't work for me on the second evening b/c I slept w/ the lozenge and through out the night, I coughed & coughed. The next am, I went back to Ricola Cough Drops & I didn't Cough as much. I suppose every1's body responds differently. Every Yr, my colds take on differences but I wanted to make sure that purchasing a new product will deliver what its marketing. This product did not deliver. Zarbees's. Thumbs down. read more

Good enough. All the employees I always liked are gone. Some of them now are rude. This is close enough to my families house that I can stop in for a pack of cigarettes for the lowest prices anywhere, or grab a drink. There are always people begging outside though. read more

It was very easy to make an appointment for my Covid booster. But the technician was not friendly or particularly good at administering the vaccine (the only time it hurt out of 4 shots). The pharmacy department needs a lot of help. The managing pharmacist can't be efficient without a team of quality pharmacy techs. I really do understand. And to answer complaints as well is not a good utilization of the pharmacist skills effectively. However, the district manager will not provide any assistance in that area of returning his calls. Nor can you get his email either. He's very well protected from such things as complaints it appears. That's what actually prompted me to write this review. This is a very busy location. No one wants to answer the phone which only makes it worse. You are often placed on hold, music begins, then they pick up and press hold again. Many times, you are held hostage in that holding cycle for more than 30 minutes. They are adequately verifying insurance benefits for drugs. And critical thinking is absentee. For example, if your moms medicine has costed a few dollars for years, what has changed with the drastic increase (90%). The lack of verifying prescription benefits will cost you dearly. I was told that my moms medicine, after being covered for many years, was $900 and no longer covered. After, many questions and calls, I was offered the discount card for her medicine at $325 for 30 pills. After suggesting that they delete, and start over, and frustrating the tech to do so, being placed back on hold; they returned with $9.00 charge for the same drug. The medicine was covered by her insurance after all. No apology was given. It's a good thing that I was persistent. WARNING, triple check your insurance with this pharmacy department. I called to complain at their corporate office, asking for the district manager, Rafael Lee, never to receive a phone call from him. They had the pharmacy manager to return his call, as if she doesn't have enough on her plate. My mom has been a customer of theirs as long as they have been on that corner. We choose not to leave because it's in her neighborhood. And if they leave it wouldn't be a nearby pharmacy. However, I caution you about the pharmacy. Seniors please have a advocate to fight for you. read more

Delissa at your Walgreens on candler road is the most inconsiderate, uncaring human being I've ever met in my entire life! After waiting in line forever I finally pull up to the window to drop off a prescription. She tells me I have to come back bxc they go to lunch at 1:30. It was literally 1:31 and I already waited all this time. Then to come back wait for another 30 minutes pull up give her the card and rx for her to then turn around and take another guess while my baby is screaming in the back seat! Like do you not have a decent human bone in your body! Seriously! Mind blown! This is terrible! Customer service! read more

Don't shop at this location , first if call the phone just rings several times and then when you do get answer you are placed on hold. I tried to get prescription filled using State of GA temporary license after having them renewed. Which every state gives you paper copy with your picture until you receive hard copy in mail. Well I tried to get much needed Cancer medication and couldn't was told by pharmacy staff that they could not use this even after advising that I had another picture ID to verify. This is my regular pharmacy that numerous RX are bring filled st least twice month and I received call for from for my refill. The pharmacist and another staff member suggested that I go get someone else or family member with ID that was not temporary because of there store policy or DEA policy. So there telling me let someone else pick up or authorize my narcotic medication !!!! If they had took time to just look my information in system maybe they would have seen I just had it fill on October 10 maybe week ago using same temporary ID. Oh !!!! please this why we don't go in our own neighborhood to much hassle. Service horrible, staff horrible !! Also called 800 customer service number might help !!! read more
