Been on hold almost 30 minutes. Emergency Rx called in today (Sunday) by my doc at noon - 4pm, still not ready. An inhaler, you know - so I can breathe? I don't blame the staff really - they've always been as helpful as possible. I blame corporate - there are not enough people to handle the volume! And I'm held hostage to CVS by my insurance unless I want to pay $10000 out of pocket. I will admit, the first time I came, I was one of those people waiting 30 minutes in line before it moved an inch. You kind of have to gauge when they will be stocked or might even have to wait a week for them to even put in an order! However, I had to give the 5 stars. Why? Simply because they just have the best, positive, friendly attitudes despite the chaos. They are right by the medical facility so they are always swamped but they truly put in work. Todd really is my first 5 star but the rest of the team deserve it too. That dude has a mind like a vise grip and he seems so passionate about what he does. How can I be mad at people who are really doing their best? They remember you and never become rude despite the masses of angry, sick, and cranky people yelling at them. They are always working, never slacking off, and trying their best to get customers what they need. I have spent many hours in the waiting chair watching their interactions haha. 24 hour store. 24 hour pharmacy (didn't used to be). The store employees are friendly. The pharmacy employees are friendly for the most part. Luckily, the lady with the crazy eyebrows who used to scowl at me doesn't seem to work there anymore. However, there was the employee who, while nice enough, called out my prescription names when she pulled my order! I was like, ummmm I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to do that. Can you imagine?? "Yes, ma'am, here are your rabies meds!" And there I am trying to hide my face from the world's judgment. I have waited way too long here before, but that isn't the norm. The weirdest time was when the guy quoted me an hour wait time at 11pm on a weeknight. Uh huh. Now I just make sure any refillable prescriptions are on auto-fill. I get an automated phone call when they're ready, and it makes things much easier. I mean, I'm not in love with this CVS. But it's the closest one to my house. So yeah. Woohoo, I guess. read more

At this CVS, I have utilized the photo center, pharmacy, and retail on different occasions so I'll speak briefly to each. Photo center: I ran in to do a quick print of a photo I needed. I figured it would be super easy on the Kodak machine like I have done before. I tried both of their machines and the "in seconds" printer was not having it. Needless to say, it was not working properly and I ended up wasting 45 minutes when I could have just sent it to the hourly printer, which was working fine. Normally, I wouldn't have waited that long, but I need the picture. The employee at the front, Jickson, was super helpful, even though he was swamped at the register. They were clearly not staffed well that afternoon (and it was a Saturday so that didn't make sense to me). I finally got the picture printed, and I liked the quality. So for this area, thumbs down for the machines and thumbs up for the customer service. Pharmacy: I came in to pick up 2 prescriptions after a doctor's appointment , and they were ready right away. But because they didn't have my insurance, the tech shot off a ridiculous amount, which freaked me out. But Cathy (the tech) got my insurance information to correct the pricing and was pleasant overall. No complaints here. A few minutes after I arrived, there was a huge line of people. Even after Cathy overhead called for backup, no other staff came up to help. Staffing seems to be an issue at this location. Retail: the aisles are labeled well, and I generally didn't have difficulties finding toothpaste, greeting cards, nail polish, or candy. The tissues were the tricky item on the list, but I eventually found them next to the diapers. It would have been nice if there was staff around the store (not just in pharmacy or at the register) to help me locate items, but I'm not too surprised since staffing was an issue that I noticed before. Overall, decent CVS. They definitely need to be better at staffing, but I liked all the employees I gave encountered. I will most likely be back to this location soon! read more

This is for the Minute Clinic INSIDE this CVS; I'll do a separate follow up for the Pharmacy and Retail portions. Go figure, I had to get sick in order to end my year-long absence from Yelp. So picture this:I was in bed dying from some ailment of the upper respiratory kind, so I decided that since my employer is partnered with them, I'd head to my nearest Minute Clinic. I'd signed in and settled myself in the waiting area by 10:30, and my name was called at around 12:15. I wasn't treated. WTF. Since I have an autoimmune disorder, I have to be treated elsewhere because they don't "...have the ability to diagnose and treat patients with automimmune diseases properly." :-/. Could this not have been sussed out via a prompt during my sign in? I'm SICK, I'm not about to be running all over the place to play "hurry up and wait" I'm a thousand percent certain that my time would be better spent resting. Fuck this place, yo. read more

I have put up with this pharmacy for way too long. Every single time I pick up a prescription I end up waiting an hour. Today was the final straw. I drove up to the drive-through after receiving a text that my prescription was ready only to find out that my insurance on file was not being processed properly. The lady told me to come back in 10 minutes and she would call and figure it out. I went inside and there was a very long line that was not moving. When I finally got to the cashier I told her what had happened in the drive-through. She then told me that only one of my prescriptions was ready and that I would have to wait for my Z pack. A Z pack is literally a box on the shelf. They don't even have to count pills. I asked her why I got the text saying that my prescription is ready if only one was ready. They said that they did not fill the Z pack because they did not have my current insurance information. I have had the same insurance for four years. It was not a lapse in coverage. I don't know why this was all the sudden an issue. Furthermore, I do not know why they would fill only one and not both of them because there was no insurance. Do they not fill prescriptions without insurance all day every day? She then directed me to this ugly little man over at the drop off counter who seemed to have it out for me from the very moment I walked up. I explained to him that there was all this confusion and I have an eight week old baby at home who needs me to be there and he just got out of the hospital. He did not care and he made sure to let me know that when I told him that I was going to transfer my prescription elsewhere. I even offered to pay the full price for the medications as long as I can get them right away because I had already been waiting about an hour at this point. My eight week old super dehydrated from being sick baby has to be breast-fed so I truly had to get out of there. Oh and it makes it this much worse that I am sick with what my baby was hospitalized for. It is very obvious when you look at me that I am sick and all I needed was just a little help from him. I asked him if he could just get the Z pack and let me pay the full price and I will be on my way. He then told me I had to go sit down and wait again so that would be my third time waiting. That is the point when I told him that I was going to transfer my prescription. I did not say it with an attitude. I just really didn't have time to wait any longer and deal with all of these issues. He basically treated me like garbage and made it known that he was actually relieved to see me transfer my prescription elsewhere. He also made sure to yell out as I was walking away that he would not help me with my attitude. Again, I did not have an attitude with him. I even said that I was not sure why my insurance was not working and that I wasn't blaming him, but I was just confused as to why it was an issue. I had the same insurance for 4 years. Then, in a gesture to show me that he's right and I'm wrong, he looked up my prescription history to inform me that the last time I filled a script there was in 2017. I said, "yeah, that was 1 year ago... I have had this insurance for the 4 years that I've worked at my place of employment and nothing has changed." I just wanted to get my meds and get home to my sick baby. I don't expect more service than anyone else... I had already waited an hour. Again, don't send a text to people that their prescription is ready if only HALF of it is. Or, maybe change the text to say that "HALF of your prescription is ready?" I dunno. I am extremely glad that this incident has happened because now I can spend my life not waiting an hour each time I need to pick up a prescription. I mean, why even have a drive-through if you're going to make someone come in every single time and they use it? I really like CVS, but this pharmacy super sucks. read more

Worst Pharmacy experience OF MY LIFE. So, long story short, I came to CVS very sick - bronchitis, double ear infection, and a sinus infection (yaaaaay first year of teaching!). I got to CVS, gave them my prescriptions, and was told it would take 15 minutes. Awesome! Half an hour later, I go up to check on my prescription, and am told they are almost ready. Another 15 minutes later, I am called up to be told that they were out of one of the prescriptions I needed. Um, why didn't you tell me that 45 minutes ago? Does it really take that long to figure out what you're out of? So I'm a little annoyed, and ask if my other prescription is at least finished. The woman tells me yes. She also asks where the closest CVS to me is, and of course I don't know immediately offhand, so she acts annoyed and says she'll call the CVS down the street. I then look it up on my blackberry, and tell her which one it is, then rudely demands, "well do you have the number???!" What the eff. I give her the number, thinking she's going to call in the prescription for me, and she just tells me "okay, they have the prescription available there." So I have to go to a second CVS, give them my prescription, and wait in line AGAIN. Ugh. So I stand where she had me for a couple minutes, thinking she was going to check me out with the things I did have, but then tells me to get in line, which is like 10 people long. Double ugh. Get into line, get to the front, and ask for the prescription under my last name. The woman goes to look for it and CANNOT FIND IT. Looks one more time, then says, "I can't find it, someone else needs to look." And just walks away! WHAT! WHO DOES THIS. I stand there for FIVE MINUTES waiting for someone to see me. Keep in mind, the woman is standing there doing NOTHING while other customers are waiting to be helped. Finally the woman who rudely informed me of my prescription not being there found it and started checking me out. Need I mention, I have a double effing ear infection, a sinus infection, and cough so disgusting it sounds like I've been smoking for 50+ of my twentysomething years. I am seriously about to cry because I am dizzy and nauseous and have been trying to be a polite customer who doesn't throw a temper tantrum like a four year old, because everyone waiting for their prescriptions looks effing miserable. I finally got checked out, and took my unfilled prescription to the SuperWalmart close to our house. The pharmacy at Walmart, as opposed to my experience at the nightmare of CVS, were knowledgeable, polite, and got me my prescription in the time they said it would take. The pharmicist I talked to there was really nice and informative, unlike the pharmacists at this CVS. Who knew my story would end in me actually deciding I'd rather go to Walmart for my prescriptions. I am never ever going back to this CVS again. read more

I actually love every CVS I have ever been in. I had weird insurance that didn't pay much for my monthly expensive prescription and they would always ask first before filling it -- the cost could be prohibitive to some. (I have since gotten better insurance.) They always are helpful and their network is useful, too. I was traveling once and forgot my medication. Another CVS in a different state gave me just enough to get through my trip and they were so good about it. read more

I took my friend by after surgery to fill a prescription and it took 45-minutes to get the Rx filled. The waiting area was filled with people waiting and few new arrivals; so what exactly where they working on. Everyone seemed to be busy. Service was poor. No one seemed to be worried about those standing and waiting. By the way there were few sears so my friend, just out of surgery had to stand and wait. Service seemed to go to the drive up window at the expense of those standing and waiting in pain. Only in an emergency will there be a next time for this pharmacy. It's unfortunate my insurance company only deals with CVS and I'm stuck with them. Not sure if switching CVS locations will be a temporary fix, but hell it's worth a try b/c these people never fail to infuriate me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!!! From telling me my prescription is ready for pick up when it's really not ready for pick up - to putting me on hold multiple times and never checking back, are just a few cringe worthy things to note. So, today I called the pharmacy and someone picks up and asks "can you hold?" and immediately puts me on hold. When you ask a question, aren't you suppose to wait for the other person to respond?? Nope. Not at CVS. You just put that party on hold. Five minutes later, I hang up and call again since no one ever came back to me. I wait another 5 plus minutes before someone decides to pick up just to tell me that they're having computer problems and places me on hold again!!!! This time for ten minutes until I finally hang up and call AGAIN (why do I waste my time with these people)!!! When a customer waits for even a few minutes - that feels like an eternity so, imagine having to wait more than 5 minutes and having to call again, because no one even gets back to you. It's frustrating right?!! Finally, someone picks up and I explain to this woman that their customer service is absolutely unacceptable. Of course she is rude too. The problem with retail this day and age is that companies hire people who have zero work ethic and don't give a flying crap about anything or anybody. You can't have a sorry attitude and poor customer service when you're working with people. Point blank period. Please get it together CVS. You will continue to lose business if you don't implement some major changes. read more

Do not go the Minute Climic at the CVS across from Dekalb Medical Center! I had really bad experience at this location. I was very sick with an acute sinus infection and the nurse practitioner would not give me any medication! I went back the next day and she would not give me medicine either and worse lied on the notes of the report regarding what I reported! I disputed charges on both dYs but corporate office said that I have to pay for both days. I was out of work 4 days because they would not give medicine. read more

The pharmacy here is TERRIBLE. My prescription was auto filled at another CVS but this one was closest for me to get to that was open at 8pm. So I go in and ask if I can fill the prescription with them instead of traveling another 10 miles down the street. The big, unpleasant, RBF girl at the drop off counter told me that the location that my script was filled at is closed and they have to call them. I told her that they are open. I checked online and they close at midnight. She told me "no....they close at 6pm." I insisted that they were open. She turned to the pharmacist and said, "the Ponce location closes at 6 right?" The pharmacist responded yes. They refused to call and find out and pretty much accused me of being a liar. So I went out to my car and called the Ponce location and lo and behold.....they were open until midnight. Instead of going back in and having to deal with any more poor customer service, I decided to battle thru midtown traffic to the Ponce location where service is always great. Had to take my boyfriend to Dekalb Medical last Saturday. We were in the ER for 6 hours. Found out he had a kidney stone. Very painful, I hear. With that said... I drove him across the street to CVS to get his Rx filled. The wait was rather long but was expected on a Saturday night. I walked around and shopped while John went and sat along the wall near the rest rooms. Lots of seats over there. I noticed one of the ladies from the pharmacy talking to a few customers. When John's name was called, this same pharmacist or Tech (not sure) waited on us. (I actually called when I got home to ask her name.) Her name was Charity and I was tickled that she was the one that waited on us. Charity answered all of our questions and even had some suggestions that she shared that would help John. I felt she went that extra mile and really showed that she cared. Thank you Charity and CVS!! We will definitely return, if needed. read more

If this was for the minute clinic only, I'd give them 5 stars. If it was for the pharmacy alone, I'd give them 0 stars. I came in to get a flu shot. Having never been to a CVS for a flu shot before, I went to the pharmacy counter to ask what I needed to do, since there are no staff stationed directly outside the minute clinic. A long wait ensued... there were three technicians, none of whom seemed to be in any kind of rush. By the time they finally got to me, I explained what I needed, asked how long it would be and was told 30 minutes. Hmm, I said, I think that'll work - hopefully no longer than that, since I need to be elsewhere in 45 minutes. Another long wait while the pharmacist tried to get me set up. Clearly, she had no idea what she was doing, as she had to keep stopping to ask the other two technicians everything from "who's the doctor" to "what initials should I put in". Twenty minutes go by... I answer questions about what arm I want it in... more time goes by... and then they tell me that CVS doesn't take my insurance. Seriously? You have a big sign up that says you accept just about all insurances, and mine is through one of the biggest insurance providers in the country. Despite having just asked me a bunch of flu-vaccine related questions, the pharmacist somehow now realizes that I want a flu shot and says I have to go to the mini clinic and start over. At this point I am pretty displeased since she's just wasted about forty minutes' worth of my time, and ask how long the wait is for the minute clinic. The pharmacist says that she doesn't know and can't find out. I would completely have just walked away at this point if one of the minute clinic nurses had not come out and very kindly asked what was going on, and promised me that it would be done in 15 minutes and that my insurance would cover it. She was right, and less than fifteen minutes later I was done, paperwork in hand, and out the door - still late for my next appointment thanks to the pharmacy staff's incompetency. Will definitely not be coming back to this site for any kind of prescriptions. read more

I'd score them lower if I could. Their automated system obviously doesn't work, their estimations aren't even close. Set myself up on line...105 min approx, immediately got a text telling me to be there within 30 minutes to keep my place in line. Was there in 20 minutes, checked in, screen says I'm number 5 and still 105 min out. Wait in my car because there is no place to sit, check back every 30 minutes until their screen says I'm 18 minutes out, then, 2.5 hours later, I am 0 minutes out, next on the screen and they take someone else in and close the door! I knock and wait, knock and wait, knock hard and the door opens to an angry woman in a lab coat that says the screen is wrong, that I am number 5. I told her she can take me off and left. read more
