After stopping here many times to use the fuel station (yay!), I finally stopped in. The layout of this store is whack. It is so different than any of the stores that I have been in before. So very confusing. I had a hard time finding the baking section because one end is full of baking equipment rather than goods such as flour, etc. That being said, it had the items that I needed. I've shopped at this Kroger since before it was in this location. (Remember when it was where Last Chance/ Patel Bros is??) I live within spitting distance of the Memorial Drive "Citi Center" Kroger, but I wouldn't shop there if I got a 50% discount every day. THAT Kroger is nasty and very very low rent. So, I drive to THIS Kroger and I love it. Everyone knows me and I find what I need about 90% of the time. I love the gas discounts and I feel I save money shopping here. The Dekalb Farmer's Mkt does have better selection and prices on veg, however, it's usually packed and a pain to deal with. Some produce is actually better at Kroger. Anyway, as a longtime customer, I love my Kroger!! Highly recommend!! read more

Hey the time is 10pm Thursday June 4 I just finish up doing delivery's and stoped by Kroger to get some gas. since it's late i put my card in Entered the pin then it said I was ready to pump so as I start pumping I noticed nothing was happening so I put the handle back up and just thought they were empty so I go to check the balance on my card and it completely whipped my account only had 31.42 on the account luckily. Then I proceed to the Kroger front door which was close but luckily security was outside I told them what happened and I guess a guy that was a manager came out and I proceeded to tell him what had happened and how the pump whipped my account and he laughs nonchalant and said there's nothing we can do hope the money comes back to your card in 2-3 days but what he dosnt understand is I'm not rich and that's what gets me throw until I get paid so now I have no gas and can't go to work tomorrow hope my boss understands. Also the description of the manager was a black African American with a bold head and glass about 6ft medium build if anyone can help please let me know. yesterday I ran into Kroger to pick up a few items during covid with my mask on . I'm 65 years old and my intention was to run in and out quickly. I was in the self checking area when i put in a 20.00 and 5 cents for a 10.04 bill. My change was 1 penny and I asked the clerk if I was not looking in the right place for the remaining 10.00. She did not see it and called over the manager, Albert Maxey. He said he would be right back and 15 minutes later , he accused me of putting the money in my pocket. The woman next in line was kind enough to charge her groceries and in front of the manager said she was going to ask for 20.00 cashback. Indeed, her 20.00 got stuck and the machine said there was a error and she then said turned to the manager Maxey and said "now do you believe her, and he still said no!" finally after 15 more minutes they finally decide to open the machine to find her 20.00 and my two 5's jammed in the machine. No apology and 30 minutes of standing around with 5 security guards with no masks. I am so angry. Mr. Shaw, the other manager, said he had a talk with him and he was sorry and they actually offered me a whopping 25.00. The money wasn't the issue. it was the defamation of character. I am trying to move forward with this as this is disgraceful. read more

Nice place. They have everything I need and well stocked. Hit and miss sometimes with the cashier speed. They have a dmv kiosk too so hopefully you can renew your tags and get your shopping done in the same place. Deli is huge but slow... read more

Good Kroger with Egg Problems. I regularly shop at this Kroger and they always have more broken and gross looking egg cartons than most stores. I was just there and I found 3 expired cartons of competitor eggs positioned on top of newer cartons. One of the expired cartons had broken egg on the outside of it. The Kroger brand eggs were all neat and fresh. Don't like feeling muscled into the store brand. I might have to find a new place for eggs. read more

So at first, they sold me opened Mac & cheese cups. I couldn't check to see if each individual cup was open or not because there were several packaged together. Then, they sold me OPENED ICE CREAM. The inside packaging was open, but the lid was closed. I am pissed. I'm never coming back to this Kroger. I'm beyond disappointed and dissatisfied. I don't even know what to do. read more

Even before the remodeling, I felt as if it was one of the best krogers to go to. Due to the friendly staff and the cleanness if the store. After the remodeling the store turned into a Super Kroger's and due to its size you can get lost. However, they did such a thing to compete with the Dekalb Farmers Market international customers. The store is always clean when I visit and the store have floor clerks who specialize in finding stuff for customers. I need to come back here more often than going to Walmart. read more

I use this Kroger often, since I live nearby, and I am reasonably satisfied with it. But that shopping center in general is not my favorite place. I can't explain it, but maybe it is the police presence or a general feeling that the place is on on the edge, but I always feel something bad could go down there at any time. Perhaps this isnt the fairest review, since I can't give specifics and have never experienced anything bad my own self there, so I give it three stars based on it's merit as a functional grocery store. read more

In the City of Decatur, we have access to 3 Krogers. The one on Memorial Dr. is not our favorite, the little one on Commerce is too small, but good produce, this one is our favorite. The managers get out on the floor and at the cash registers working just as hard (or harder) than the regular employees. The employees are all friendly and helpful. We've been coming here ever since they opened. Yes, we shopped at the Kroger when it was where Patel Plaza is now. I especially like buying my gas at a huge discount. When others are complaining about gas prices, we just smile & keep getting our gas at the Kroger Fuel Center. We had the Deli make two sandwich trays for a church event and they were delicious and plenty! Ms. Emma did our sandwiches and she was very conscientious in helping us. This is the worst place known to man. The staff are rude, condescending and unpleasant. On more than one occasion I have been treated poorly by the staff (department workers, cashiers, etc.). Management doe not seem to care as they have been rude too. I guess Publix it is because this is the seventh circle of hell. read more

If you're looking for produce, keep driving. These guys can't keep even the basics in stock. They almost NEVER have cilantro...need ginger? Good luck. Green onions? Nada. I asked the produce guy a simple question and he yelled at me, then I asked someone for help at the self check out and they acted like I was bothering them (even though they weren't doing anything else) and then after he reluctantly helped me with a price check he said "well, do you want it or not!". This store is convenient for me because I work in the area. When they remodeled the store I was so excited for completion. However the store went from a little gem to a nightmare! Management sucks!! Employees don't care about customers not as friendly as they use to be and a lot of turn over when it comes to staff. Bigger isn't always better, the organization of products is ridiculous, at times you can't find items where you last saw them weeks before. Organic oils are now with regular oils, the essentia water that I buy in organic section is NEVER in stock and yes they moved it with the regular water. I talked with a manager about the water issue she ordered it and called me to come in for it, that was the last time the water was in the store after that there's not one bottle on the shelf. The Goya sardines are not in the store anymore when I asked manager she was oblivious to what I was talking about, it's been months no sardines on the shelf. Organic avocados same problem. I could go on and on about simple basic products that's not in stock. Shopping at this location has become frustrating for me to say the least. I'm always worried about Products availability on any given day I decide to go in for my groceries. They need to bring back the management team they had before and all the good staff members they fired. I'm Very disappointed that I have to leave Kroger after shopping with them for so many years but they leave me absolutely no choice. read more

I really like this Kroger. I have only one big complaint about this store. It seems like every time I drive up, I witness people with no handicap sticker, and no signs of being disabled, parking in the handicapped parking. Also, a lot of people who park and idle in the fire lane. I've mentioned it several times to store security, but they say it's a Dekalb county police jurisdiction. Nothing makes me angrier than to watch a 20 year old park in handicapped parking, and then run inside. If they're going to have handicapped parking (for people who need it), then it needs to be enforced. read more

Since I spend many a saturday night shopping for groceries, I thought I should weigh in on the best place to do it. If you enjoy shopping from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. I like I do, this is the place for you to do it in peace. Sure, you will have to scan and bag all your own groceries, but in this dying economy, you can at least list that as work experience on your resume. Kroger has decent prices, but sometimes the price you pay is different from the advertised price, so check your own work. The vegetables are all over priced, also I read some bad things about the way they treat animals for their meat and eggs etc. so, stick to the dry and packaged goods if you can. One good thing about kroger is that they have this thing where they will give you gas for all the money you spend and if you spend at least $100 per month there, you can get free gas. I have yet to cash in on this deal, but it seems pretty great. read more

Went back yesterday after I received a call, two weeks ago from Kroger saying they had passed along my concerns about the store. Nothing has changed, it has gotten messy in the store, employees actually avoid eye contact; many shelves were disorganized or empty; no one was bagging groceries which slowed down thecheck-out process for everyone. read more

I just spoke with a woman via the customer service option on the phone to ask if the Starbucks has a restroom and wifi. She was vague, nonchalant, bothered and rude. I shop at this Kroger multiple times a week and have never had an issue with any of the staff members. However, I felt like today warranted feedback. I usually use the self checkout kiosks, as I don't buy many things at a time and find it less time consuming than waiting in a check out line. Today, all the kiosks were in use and I saw a very short check out line, so I switched up my routine and checked out that way. I had two items - a bottle of juice and a pack of condoms. Thirza rung up my items and as I paid, I said "I don't need a bag, thank you". I can easily carry my two items out without wasting a plastic bag. Thirza looked at the condoms and said "everyone doesn't need to see these - everyone doesn't need to see these" and put them in a bag. Not only did I request no bag, but the judgement that I felt from her comment was embarrassing and inappropriate. I am a grown woman exercising my power and responsibility over my own body and actions on this planet - in no way should I have been treated this way. Did she think I was going to parade out of the store waving a box of condoms around? No. I just didn't want to be wasteful and use a plastic bag for two easy items to carry. I would like Thirza to be more mindful in the future of how she interacts with her customers. read more
