Where do you go when Trader Joe's is tapped out of flowers? This Kroger, right next door. This branch was beyond prepared for the Mother's Day crowd. In addition to the expansion of their flower section (with an extra cashier), they sanctioned a manned station for custom chocolate covered strawberries. The pricepoint in their florals was relatively competitive with a few options under $20. But I decided to write this review because my original plan involved stopping at Home Depot after sliding into Trader Joe's for some florals. I was able to bipass both stops because this Kroger had it all and more. Home decor, auto care, yard and garden, shoes, clothing, and ofcourse groceries. I went to purchase the shredded rotisserie chicken yesterday about 4 pm. The shelf was empty so I asked the lady at the deli counter. She waved over a man I can only assume was in charge and I asked him. His response, " oh no there isn't any I guess they didn't get around to doing that this morning". Unacceptable. Also there have been other products missing for weeks. Planters cocktail peanuts? None available for three weeks. Get those on Amazon now. Maybe focus more on food instead of all the clothing etc. I get so frustrated at this store but it's closest to me. read more

So usually I go to this Kroger, and I usually love it. It has been my favorite store for over ten years. Actually, since they opened since they've been in business, almost twelve years now. But today was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. The woman, an elderly woman at the self checkout was so rude. Telling us we can't check out there because we're barely over 15 items and they're sending us to the far end of the store. I find that very unprofessional, lack of customer service, and when my mom and I got to the far end, there's between seven and nine people in line, but yet we're not allowed to check out self checkout, because we're 1 or 2 items over, I find that ridiculous. And then the attitude the lady gave takes me to the sign and points to the sign and says, see. It says 15 items, oh no. This will be my last trip there. It's sort of upsetting to see how one person can take away from a business permanently. read more

This was a great store, but we're moving to another store in the area due to so many unruly kids on e-bikes in the parking area. They speed and drive recklessly, endangering customers. Do their parents know about this? We saw some constables there, so hopefully they'll get it under control. We would love to shop at this store again if this problem gets resolved. read more

I placed an online pickup order scheduled for 10:00 AM at the Kroger Towne Lake location in Cypress, TX. I arrived on time, but the order was not ready. The area manager, Xavier, confirmed that it had not been prepared and stated he did not know when it would be ready. I waited more than 45 minutes without receiving a timeline or update. I contacted Kroger Customer Service while at the store. They attempted to contact the location and experienced the same lack of response and assistance. I was forced to cancel my order and place it at another store. I request that this incident be reviewed and that corrective action be taken. read more

9.30.23 $3.10 for gas today. Stopped here for gas. I don't shop at Kroger often. They are a little high priced for the items I buy. I will say they do have a cake that my hubby and I just LOVE! I buy it for our birthdays and our anniversary. We call it our anniversary cake, because that was the first time we had it. I always forget to take a photo of it because I'm so excited to eat it! For the second time in months, they are selling rotten fish. Bought supposedly WILD CAUGHT Sockeye Salmon and Orange Roughy. Hard to smell there cause they have the fans blowing so high but 20 minutes later when I got home I was able to smell. Had my gf confirm and showed me the rot on the salmon meat. Got a refund after speaking with the manager but didn't care about it. I want better quality standards. This place constantly display they have no quality standards. Bakery, meat and produce products had to be returned in past year because of mold/fungus. The fact that Texans allow poor quality standards of living should be embarrassing to them. Supposedly Kroger and H-E-B track their WILD CAUGHT fish so it shouldn't be hard for them to resolve quality of fish issues yet they still exist. Brand new 'Kroger Marketplace' just opened in the Towne Lake community, and it is unlike any other Kroger I have ever been to. This is seriously like the mothership of Kroger, it's huge! First time here and I am already a fan! They have one of the largest organic foods sections I have ever seen. All of the aisles are wide, no worrying about bumping carts with any fools that aren't paying attention. This next part part is gonna make you go 'what?'... This Kroger sells clothes.. Not just a tiny little corner, a larger section dedicated for 'Fashion'. Tons of options for kiddies and the grown ups. I think it's kinda weird for a grocery store to carry clothes but whatevs! Full service Starbucks located near the right entrance with a large sit down area. I came very late in the evening, almost midnight and when it came to checking out there was not a single register open. Only option was to do self-check out. I don't think there will be much waiting for checking out during peak hours because there's over a dozen of checkout lanes and plenty of self checkout booths too! This Kroger is open late, very late! Opens at 6AM and closes at 1AM! I'm an HEB fan because they usually have cheaper prices but this Kroger really impressed me with their incredibly large selection of stuff! read more

The deli at this Kroger location is right on! As usually, I got some fried chicken, but I also grabbed a sushi burrito which was delicious! It was actually my first time seeing this in a grocery. You see the sushi rolls all the time, but not the burrito. Man...it is officially my new favorite now. I have no idea how this pharmacy only has 3 stars! They should definitely have 10 if possible. Victor, and Robert and the rest of the text there are fantastic. Victor always goes above and beyond with customer service and to make sure that I get all the help that I can get with filling my medication and getting all the information I need on my medicine. With technology today sometimes prescriptions don't come through. He makes sure to call the dr offices Call some of the Kroger's pharmacy that my medicine gets sent to Accidentally fix errors that are done from doctors offices. I've never had a pharmacy be so efficient. They all go above and beyond their jobs and their pays. It is a breath of fresh air. At times doctors offices send my medication to Walgreens or CVS because they're 24 hours and I asked them to redirect to Kroger Pharmacy because of Victor Robert and the rest of the staff here. I wouldn't want anyone else handling my meds. If Victor or Robert were Doctors I would want to be under their care. Because of how empathetic and knowledgeable they are. And because they care so much about me. I appreciate y'all and I am so grateful that you are here. read more

I love the fresh meat department here! Well I love the produce there too! Honestly this store is pretty great! It is located on Barker cypress and Tuckerton at the "higher" end of town. I know what your thinking.." Kroger is Kroger ". Well this one is always clean when I arrive in the parking lot. So, soon as you walk in there's flowers from left to right. Again " ok they have that at most Kroger's " . Well I used to buy my wife flowers every other week when we lived in Lacey, Washington. The flowers there were perfect would last for a week and a half. When we move back to Texas I continued to do the same. This Kroger's was the best place that I found that also had competitive rates. Ok. I feel like I'm getting stuck on one subject so let me move on lol. The fresh meat section has of course fresh seafood. I'm going to be honest I was a little bit nervous trying it out. Until I did lol. We bought wild caught Atlantic salmon fillets. The butcher was like " what seasoning would you like to add to you fish tonight?". The look on my face was priceless, because I never thought to ask about that. So we started off pretty basic with lemon pepper. We loved it! The very same week we went back and tried it again but with different seasoning. I want to say we tried garlic ginger, but I could be wrong so don't judge me. Well... that's what I been telling everyone about this place when I talk about fresh produce and meats. If you're not sure from reading my over exaggerated and highly biased review. Bakery department. I had a very nice and helpful young lady in the bakery department write a simple happy "b i r t h d a y" message on a pre made cake. Written on the cake was: "Happy Biday!" Summary- Nice, clean grocery store with lots of space. Lacks some of the selection of the HEB on 290/Barker Cypress but it's a little less chaotic and crowded as well. I don't really get the whole combo store concept, so I could care less about the sweatshirts, socks, and toasters. I did like their overall Organic selection, but they were lacking in any Organic Fruits to compete with HEB (who has some) and it's nowhere near a true high end grocer. read more

Worst Thanksgiving EVER! I ordered a "pre made" dinner for my family since I was working on Thanksgiving. The site said everything was pre cooked and prepared. NOT SO! The turkey was pre cooked but half frozen it had to be cooked for 3-4 hours. Also, all the side were Bob Evens and the rest was actually just ingredients that had to be prepared and cooked! I gave this store 1 Star because it is always clean and the checkers are so friendly. However, you would think that with the size of this store and the demographics of the surrounding area, this store would be better stocked. This isn't just because of the current health crisis. Yes, this is a difficult time period but I recently visited the Kroger Marketplace near Fairfield on Highway 290 and their shelves are fully stocked. I met a small dog who licked my hand and found a very impressive beer selection. (Stumbled across pumkinator 2016!) They have clothes and electronics here among other items but no where near Walmarts level. However Walmart doesn't have a lot of what they stock here like beet hummus craft beer and good wine.... This review is for clicklist at this Kroger location. Awful. Trying to use this service to save time. Work and kids are making it impossible to have the time to shop. Have been sitting here for 30 minutes past my pickup time. Not 1 person has had their groceries delivered since I got here. 1 poor lady working. People have come, waited 30 minutes, and left. If we cancel, it takes a week for the money to be returned to our account. This actually happened once before and I thought no way would they let this happen again. Wrong. 2 super slow people at the deli counter, . 0 personality or customer service skills. no acknowledgement of all of us standing here waiting, no we will be right with you, nothing. This is why I prefer heb. Unbelievable. I've been standing here for already 10 minutes waiting, the three customers in front of me. Only two people in a very busy department. HEB would have at least four or five people down in the deli at this time. Very aggravating. Then add a customer who thinks that she needs two people helping her because The one person that is helping her is slow. she actually said, I still need two more things can you help me instead of moving on to the next person? Although we have all been here equally long, all of us losing patience. Thankfully, the person behind the counter said no ma'am I have to move on to the next customer. I think there was some redemption in that. So I will bring it up to a two stars instead of a one-star. And it's not their fault that there is only two people staffed, that is totally on Kroger, and the fact that they had no personality or no speed or sense of urgency, could be on them as well as Kroger. I frequent this store at least 2-3 times a week, but was beginning to loose faith in its customer service. But what a difference a day makes. On June 5, I was beyond exhausted but needed to run in and run out. I was in a semi-long line. Suddenly a young man leaned into me and instructed me to come to his line. He opened up a register. First, he cheerfully greeted me. Secondly, he told me he was double bagging to ensure my glass products were safe. Thirdly, he told me my total. Handed my receipt, then thanked me for shopping at Kroger's and wished me a great evening! WOW, was all I could say! I looked at my receipt for his name and immediately went to a floor manager. This is probably going to be the last time I will shop at Kroger. Several times, I have noticed expired yogurt and other food items. Nobody seems helpful or polite at either local locations. I actually felt intimidated by a very rude cashier and the manager did absolutely nothing about the incident. The self check employee seemed annoyed when she needed to come over. And the florist lady said she didn't want to mop the floor so use a cover for the bouquet. A couple of days ago I went to do some groceries, and yesterday when my daughter was drinking her iced tea she noticed that it was expired. I am so upset. The date was April 2019! Seriously?! I am done. Giving my business and money to HEB and others who always respect their customers and stock and support local businesses that aren't expired. I always receive above and beyond customer service from Yesi and Trey at my local Starbucks in this Kroger. I just moved here a few months ago and I'm a daily Starbucks drinker and easily make friends with my local barristas. I have to say when ever Yesi is not there, you feel it! She brightens my mornings and my drink is always ready and made correctly. I have received poor and outright rude customer service from other barristas at this location and have reported it to Yesi. Great store, lots of options, great hours... but the staff is horrible! They are rude, slow, and not very knowledgeable. My first experience was with the floral department, placed an order, came back to pick up, and they could not find the order. Kept telling me if I placed on order it would be in her book, and it was not, even though I'm showing her the receipt. Finally I noticed the order was taped to the computer, and then instead of an apology, I get a deep sigh from her and she walks off without a word. Comes back and says the order is sitting in the walk in fridge, if I want to get a cart and get them. My order was about 100 mini bouquets, they fit in three carts... she did not want to help me, until I demanded it. While I was there, an elderly woman stopped and asked her if they had single roses for sale. The employee told her if she doesn't see it out, then they don't have it. While I was standing there so long, I did notice the single roses, and pointed them out to the lady. How could she not help her. My next experience was with Starbucks. They did not know their products, and then argued with me about how a drink is made that I've been ordering for years. The store cashiers did not acknowledge me, just kept talking to each other. After coming from the Kroger's at West & Hwy 6 (awful, filthy, small store, at an awful location), I thought this store was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen. Over the past year though, I have started noticing less variety (they stuff the shelves with Kroger brand and very little name brands), poor quality control: moldy bread, and moldy fruit/vegetables, frozen food always freezer-burnt, or barely frozen. Not nearly as good sales on fresh meat/seafood, and not keeping sale items stocked. The kicker for me though, was the way I was treated at their pharmacy. I had been using their pharmacy for a little over a year, and more often than not, it would take quite a while for them to fill a Rx, regardless of whether it was new or a refill. My doctor called in a refill for me, on a medication I have been taking for years - a very common medication. He called in several medications that day, so when I went to pick them up, I was told they wouldn't have that one particular medication for another 3 days, which coincidentally was when I would run out of the meds, so I asked them to make sure it would be in by that date, as I would be out after that day, and they assured me it would be. So I go in on the day it is supposed to be ready, and they tell me it will be one more day...OK, I can handle that...but the very next day, I get an email saying it will be ready in 6 days. 6...days...what medication takes that long to get? Remember they have already told me it is on order 4 days prior to this email, making it a total of 10 days since it was ordered. Since it is a "regulated" medicine, they supposedly cannot give me a few pills to get by, without me forfeiting the rest of the pills prescribed. No one offered to see if another Kroger pharmacy could send them the medication, no one apologized, no one cared. And that seems to be the entire problem with this store - no one cares, from the top to the bottom. They have lost my business, pharmacy-wise, and they are getting very close to losing my business altogether, if they don't get their act together. How about trying a little less to look like a Walmart, and a little more like a Kroger Marketplace? I hope the manager, or the powers that be at Kroger, read these reviews, and realize they don't hold the market anymore - Awe have lots of other places to shop, and you could find your store an empty husk if you don't correct the path you're on. read more

Really nice Kroger. If I had to guess, I would say they put this one in to compete more completely with HEB. In house Starbucks. Nice big parking spaces. Nice bakery, produce, deli, florist. Even a jeweler located in the store. I wish the meat department had better offerings. Like all the Krogers, the meat department always seems to have a limited selection of cuts. That is always disappointing to me. This Kroger has a larger household items department, compete with a couple aisles of toys and even some clothing. Not sure if I would go there for that reason, but if I was shopping for food and needed to pick something up I might get it there. The store is very clean, but it's new. There were about twenty registers open and almost no waiting, but again... New. I may be back in a few months to update once the new has worn off. That will be the real test. read more

It seems there is an effort to discourage actual shoppers in store these days. This has been my primary store since they opened. However, their service has consistently slipped as actual in store shoppers have become second class citizens to their click list shoppers. Click list shoppers inconsiderately block aisles and will run you down as they rush to fill their orders. My biggest complaint however is available checkers. Am I wrong in thinking if a grocery store is going to open at 6 am they should actually provide at least one checker during operating hours? I'm not employed by Kroger nor do I get a discount for checking and bagging my own groceries. read more

I am glad I just read that this is not a 24 hour kroger like the one on West Rd & Hwy 6, but this is definitely a very nice kroger store. Our neighbor told us about this place, so we decided to go one day after visiting Unleashed next door. It is a very big store full of random things you do not usually find at the other kroger stores, but quite pleasant. Nice selection and savings are awesome, with the kroger card. Fiance and I still prefer the HEB on Tuckerton, but this is a good spot to purchase last minute things during the week. read more
