I have lived in the area and shopped at this Kroger rather frequently for over 10 years. The produce is awful on a very regular basis. I've gotten spoiled meat from this location and weevils in my pasta, multiple times. In addition, Kroger is more expensive than its local competitors. The audacity!!! Anywho, I mainly shop here for the fuel points and convenience. If HEB offered fuel points I'd gladly shop there more regularly. Oh yes dear store management in case you read this and decide you care about your customers.....that flower tent you all put up in the parking lot for certain holidays is a serious HAZARD for people exiting down that row. That tent creates an awful blind spot. I can only imagine how many accidents have occurred bcos of this. Put it somewhere else !!! read more

The deli section does not do a good job slicing cheese. I had incomplete slices in my pack and it was sliced thinner then I requested. I was unaware until I got home and had to return to another store to get the item needed. I will not return to this location in the future. read more

Not a bad Krogers...We went to Kroger for a few things and one easy to navigate. Was very surprised they had so many cashiers. Not seen that often this past year. The meat section did seem a bit sparse. I found items for $1 to ad tomy "special treat bags" we give the kids on our street. These were pretty great find to add to their bags. Halloween is a favorite holiday. I love that faces of the kids when get a bag with their name on it. This Kroger has nice floral section, as well. Produce fresh. Only negative, they didn't ad the buy 5 gor $5 deal at check or the coupons on my app. If much not been working. I noticed once at the SUV and I didn't go back. I justify it because whole pecans were $1.29 a container is the clearance.section. I wanted them all, but only took 10 for holiday baking. I have no complaints. Honestly I am not a Kroger fan especially this location. But since my friend gave me a Kroger gift card, I just went for some groceries. The staffs working between the aisles were very nice and friendly. However, when I checked out at self-check (11:27 AM, 02/19/2020), one of the female staffs attitude and the way she talked to me made me felt like I was stupid (Hey, the price tags of your store has always not been updated made me confused so much, and those tricky on sale "games" just made me confused even more--like you should buy five to get some tricky price for each one..... Also, I didn't understand what's wrong with that I just muted the sound of the self check machine because it was too loud for me). Because I didn't want to ask that female staff more questions, I just decided to check out all stuffs in the cart and then just go to guest service to return those items with not-sure prices. At guest service, I thank God for Ms. Wendy who was a sweet and nice lady with so much patient. She answered all of my questions and patiently helped me check out some more items. One star for the working staffs greeting to me; one star for Ms. Wendy's good guest service. One more thing I want to say is that if you are not ready for a customer-service kinda job, you would better stay home and serve and love your own family. read more

Do not buy seafood from this location!! I could smell the rotting stench of the crawfish from the produce section. I found the source of the odor once I got to the seafood. A tub of dead and dying crawfish sat there. Only a couple on the surface were still alive. The rest looked, and smelled like they had been there all day. I told a staff member but when he brought it up to the seafood guy he didn't seem to think it was a problem. I love crawfish season, but these animals deserve a little respect and this clearly was not the case here. read more

July 28-eve: My husband and I checked out thru self check. Immediately upon coming into the area we were greeted proactively by Matthew. Said he was here and let us know if we needed his assistance. We did need assistance when the grapes were not ringing up correctly. He very quickly and efficiently took care of that and another issue of a glass container that also didn't ring up with the correct price. He was able to multi-task helping us and greeting others also using the self checkout. Kroger management, you have a gem with that employee. read more

I usually know Kroger to be a family company that stand out for being helpful and caring towards elderly customers but tonight this location caused me to question that. After a long week of work, the child at the register boasted about their 68 mustang while checking my ID to me instead of offering me a Kroger card to save money for my family. The bagger/register at my local Kroger offerers a card if I happen to forget mine. I found this to be an inconvenience as a customer since I've been shopping at Kroger for over 15 years. This is my normal Kroger's but yesterday I was so grossed out! I went to buy a bag of grapefruit and go up to the display. Went to pick up a bag and my hand touched this 'moosh' and my entire arm became soaking wet. Then there was this disgusting stench of sour moldy margaritas and fruit flies started flying around. When I looked down about 30-50 bags of grapefruits were R-O-T-T-E-N!!! There was a Kroger's guy stocking some veggies. I was like, 'Ahem.....Do you see what is happening here????' 'Do you SMELL these putrid grapefruits?????' 'HeLLO!!!!!' 'The flies????' Do you even care about sanitation??? He replied.....'yea, we're having some problem with mold!' WHAT??? Mold???? This is straight up grapefruit carcass! I tell him. 'You should take this whole display to the back!' 'It is all rotten and you can't sell it.' We are trying to buy healthy food here and this is just foul!!! WHY IS IT EVEN OUT HERE.....for customers to get that gross nasty rotten liquid all over their arm???? He just stares. Lights on. Nobody home. *toodle-loo-loo--toodle-loooo0000!* Came around 30 minutes later and the grapefruits and flies were still there! I felt like grabbing a broomstick to bang on the display so all the flies would scatter all over the produce section. Don't like when I am mess with trying to buy my healthy fruit! Yea, fix your crappy carts, too! The one I had last night was so LOUD everyone stared at me like it was my fault the wheels were screeching. Not one employee offered to get me a non-screeching cart. One Kroger's employee laughed the entire time he walked next to me. He finally ended up at the Meat counter. So, thank you, Meat Counter Guy, for laughing at me. Wife and I go here every weekend. We get there early either Saturday or Sunday morning so we are in and out before it gets crowded. Wife likes to go here because she says she saves more money going to this location. If you are getting canned, frozen foods things of that nature you are pretty safe in going here. If you are looking for seafood, forget it! Sometimes I don't even like walking by the seafood section because it smells so bad. I will not buy seafood here. Produce is hit or miss on quality. They do not have a large selection of different items but if you want basics like broccoli, cauliflower they are fine. Decent selection of fruits. Meats have continually declined over the past year. Beef prices have gone through the roof here just like everywhere but their quality is poor. Pork is about the same way. The only meat I buy from this store now is chicken breast. If it was up to me I would be shopping somewhere else but I go where the sandwich maker tells me to go! read more

This is probably going to be the last time I will shop at Kroger. Several times, I have noticed expired yogurt and other food items. Nobody seems helpful or polite at either local locations. I actually felt intimidated by a very rude cashier (at another location) and the manager did absolutely nothing about the incident. The self check employee seemed annoyed when she needed to come over. And the florist lady said she didn't want to mop the floor so use a cover for the bouquet. A couple of days ago I went to do some groceries, and yesterday when my daughter was drinking her iced tea she noticed that it was expired. I am so upset. The date was April 2019, it's 2020 folks! Seriously?! I am done. Giving my business and money to others who always respect their customers and stock and support local businesses with products that aren't expired. I cannot say enough goo things about the women in the floral department. Several times they have helped me with floral arrangements for sick family members and friends. They are polite, friendly, an extremely talented. I will never go anywhere else for flowers. Yesterday, that helped me again with an arrangement a long time friend. It was beautiful and reasonably priced. Additionally, I have shopped here for 15 years. I have seen many employees come and go. This is where my wife and I typically buy our groceries. To be honest, we prefer the H-E-B on Barker Cypress but this Kroger is more convenient. We have found it to be clean and well-stocked. There is a Starbucks inside for those of you who can't even grocery shop without paying inflated prices for coffee (my little jab about all Starbucks...not a reflection on Kroger). This is a pretty average Kroger and holds no surprises for the typical grocery shopper. The pharmacy staff, however, is top-notch. read more

My family and I shop at this Kroger all of the time. Personally, I prefer it to H-E-B because it's smaller and less crowded. I've never had a bad experience at this Kroger until today. Recently, Kroger as removed the majority of their check-out lines and replaced them with self check-out machines. I like self check-out; it's very useful for when I'm just buying one or two items, however it's not useful for a weekly shopping trip, where we buy upwards of $100 worth of groceries. Today we were on one of our weekly shopping trips. There were plenty of self-checkout lanes, but only one regular check-out lane was open and it was very backed up. We got in line and three more people got behind us. At this point the line was 8 people deep. No one is using the self-check out machines. My dad flags down an employee and says: "Hey, we need some more check-out lanes." The woman standing by the self-checkout machines calls over: "There are plenty of self check-out lanes!" My dad responds, "That's not helpful." The woman looks as if she's been slapped. "How is that not helpful?" She asks, in a condescending, bitter tone. The man behind my father replies, "You're not paying me to work here. I don't want to scan a shopping cart full of groceries." The woman gives him an icy stare, but otherwise ignores him. Luckily, another employee opened up a second lane for us, but it is safe to say, from now on I it is safe to say will take my shopping to H-E-B. read more

I haven't always been a fan of this Kroger's because of their parking lot, too small and always crowded. The update they recently did on the store makes it better but even with 2 HEBs nearby the parking is still an issue. The Good: lots of selection with the deli, sushi, bakery, produce, organic products, butcher, and even high school shirts/shorts. There is a Starbucks inside that we love. The pharmacy is top notch. They recently redid their isles so they are now huge and you get this wide open space so you don't feel like you are going to suffocate. The store has a nice atmosphere with friendly staff. It's clean, really clean actually and has good organization. read more

Terrible customer service!!!! Zero must stars! The bagger must have been in a hurry to close because every two minutes he was on the intercom saying what time it was. This store is also unorganized! The newer stores have healthy and organic items in the same place where this store must be too cheap to renovate because they have everything mixed up together. By the time I found what I needed the bagger got an attitude with me because I wasn't scanning my items yet. I ask for his manager whose name is Ray Ponce and explain to him how rude this cashier was and he brushes it off like nothing and actually sticks up for him when he wasn't even near us! I left my full basket there and just left because I was so insulted and shocked! I expect that kind of behavior from a bagger with no class or professionalism but not from the night manager! I went in to buy ground turkey, midol, worcestershire, and was literally followed around the ENTIRE store by the AP boy and stared at by all the employees like we were trying to steal it. It was so obvious it made us feel so uncomfortable. I felt discriminated cause we were the only brown people in there. It's not like we had big bags or was looking ratchet or anything. Everything was in the cart. Like wtf was that actually about? You could've just asked us to leave and we would have, instead of following us around. The people are friendly and have helped me when needed. The meat department isn't as knowledgeable as others but usually keeps what I need stocked well. I have noticed that the stocking is not what it use to be and I have had to ask for produce/products that are not readily available, but seem to find it for me when I ask. read more

This Kroger has really gone downhill over the past year or so. Seem to be always out of stock on what we are looking for. Also last time I was in the produce section, there were fruit flies all over the onions. The pharmacy used to be very good, but lately they are also frequently out of everything, and shorthanded, supposedly the store manager won't allow them to hire more pharmacy techs. I decided last minute to get Snuggies for gifts for Christmas, so on Xmas Eve, I drove to my local Kroger here in Cypress only to find out they were sold out. I proceeded to drive to 4 other Kroger locations to collect Snuggies for gifts. It turns out I bought way more than I actually needed, so I went back to my neighborhood Cypress location the day after Christmas to return the excess Snuggies. After waiting in the customer service line for 45 minutes, I was told by thte clerk and the manager that they would not accept my returns because they were not purchased at that specific location. Seeing that Kroger is a corporate store and it was only 2 days since I bought the products which were not damaged any any way, I don't think that it was a very fair policy to not take my returns. I asked to see their return policy and they did not have a written return policy and said that returns are at the manager's discretion. I emailed my experience to the Kroger website and this was their response: "Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. and expressing your views regarding our return policy. We understand your stance as a shopper, and respect your right to take it. Your comments have been forwarded to our Regional office for review and consideration." I would be completely fine with the policy had it been posted or written somewhere where I could have known ahead of time that I need to return to the same store and not just any location. read more

Average kroger. A bit smaller than a lot that I've been too. Not the greatest produce selection. Excellent managers specials. Close to my house so I pretty much stick to this one. Usually busy. Same sales as any other kroger I guess although I've found cheaper produce at other kroger's in the same town on the same day of the week. read more
