I want to give it 0 star, but I can't. Management does NOT honor the Kroger's return policy for baby formula. On Sunday, June 14th, at approximately 9:30 PM, I went into the store with my wife to return unopened baby formula. This was our second attempt to resolve this; I previously sent my wife to handle the return three days ago, and she was turned away. During both visits, the store staff and manager Michelle stated that Kroger does not accept returns on baby formula and that all sales are final. However, prior to coming in, I explicitly reviewed Kroger's official return policy, which clearly states that baby formula returns are permitted. Even the online support team told us to go to the store for returning items. When I presented this to Michelle, she flatly refused to look at the documentation or listen to my explanation. Instead, she dismissively stated that Kroger does not do baby formula returns and began listing policies for other retailers like Walmart. I do not care about Walmart's policies; I am a Kroger customer dealing with Kroger, and I expect your staff to follow your own corporate guidelines. Michelle's attitude was entirely unacceptable. She was dismissive of my concerns, refused to engage in a respectful conversation, and acted as though she did not want to be bothered, despite the fact that I approached her politely and with the written policy in hand. Someone in a leadership position should not be treating customers this way; she severely needs retraining or a demotion. read more

Run down, always dirty, management does not appreciate customers and try to force self-checkout, workers act like you're in their way, needs a complete overhaul. Stay away from this Kroger... the new Kroger on 155 is worth the trip if you do prefer to shop Kroger. read more

This Kroger is located directly on Jonesboro Road in McDonough. I was in the area doing a little work and decided I would swing through to grab a few things here instead of getting myself in the busier locations back towards the city. Standard Kroger in most ways with the exception of the service, which was less than stellar when you actually receive it. I only had a few items, so I was looking for a quick checkout, especially since it wasn't that busy, but that isn't how it really happened. The cashiers that were on duty were not paying attention and wondered off twice while I was waiting to get a register and actually check out. They wondered down a few lanes to chat with another cashier and during this chat multiple people needed and had to wait for assistance. The store itself was decently stocked, clear of debris and clean for the most part, even the exterior was well kept. I am never in this area, but on the occasion that I do pass through...I will probably just wait to hit another spot. read more

I brought the attention to a front end manager today that none of the self checkouts were working on one end of the store and she just walked away with her lunch and then she spilled her drink all over the floor as she was trying to. Sarcastic while she was walking off. She could've not cared less about that poor young woman section. People were waiting standing in line. Nobody could check out the poor little child was just running back-and-forth trying to get people check out and the manager just walked off and told me have a good day. Ordered pick up online and they called an hour later and cancelled the order saying they were short staffed and the manager said they did not have to complete the orders and we would have to place the order tomorrow, easy for them to say when they already have the money and want me to pay for them again. Completely ridiculous, I would suggest staying far away from this location if you value your money. read more

This review is for the Kroger PHARMACY. I'm pretty much homebound so haven't been inside the store. I just want to say that I have saved a LOT of money through their special programs, but more important is the quality of all the folks I've dealt with over the phone from this department. They have been incredibly helpful, respectful, kind and go out of their way to make things go smoothly. This is a true opinion and I'm giving it after dealing with them for over 2 years. My ex was a pharmacist and I'm well acquainted with how much pressure they must work under, and can't even put into words how much I appreciate their help. 301 Jonesboro Rd, McDonough, GA 30253 | McDonough Crossing Kroger | This is probably the worst Kroger I've had to shop at. The selection is good and they have FREE PICKUP via the app or website. Where they have lost points is for CLEANLINESS! The owners should seriously consider pressure washing the entranceway and ensuring all exterior trash bins are emptied routinely! The parking lot can also use a routine sweep. Inside, product selection is good but a routine check and refresh of the produce section (tossing unappealing produce) should be standard! In addition, adding more self-checkout stations would be great. I'm not sure why most Publix stores are usually a stark contrast to Kroger! I literally avoid shopping here as much as possible. read more

I would give I less if I could. Worst kroger ever!!!! Never any carts and never any baggers. Most times only one full service check out open. Can't even get a bagger in the only lane open. PITIFUL!!!! Will never shop there again and only live a half mile away. read more

Apparently the reviews are true . Stopped on the road for a few supplies including some extra craft beers . Got to our Smokies spot and found the beers spoiled and bad . As grocery stores go this one is pretty good. Standouts to me are pharmacy, deli, produce and meat/seafood. You can find a peckerwood in each of them but for the most part really good folks in all of them. Been going here 20+ years and while WalMart is cheaper and Publix has better produce, this place seems to be were we migrate to most of the time. Their fuel program is pretty cool, even though they gutted it in not letting folks carry over points but a month or so. There is nothing wrong with produce here IMO. I just give Publix the slight edge on it. Had an issue recently with some meat we bought. Sent in a complaint and without a lot of BS, they credited my account and it showed up the next time I was in the store. getting rid of live lobsters sucks. In the past I have visited this Kroger no problems. Yesterday between 9 and 10 am I want to the gas station ( 27 Nov) the ​lady in the booth was rude and even spoke down to me. I was surprised. Because someone has a disability does not mean they should be looked at as unintelligent, weather physical or mental. Every person should be treated with respect. She assumed I was illiterate, because I had trouble at the pump. I am a disabled veteran who has trouble at times with limitations. Courtesy is a service that should be given to all. read more

Why are y'all so fucking slow???? And I mean literally EVERY time I come. Last visit, there was food on sale and once I get to the checkout, show the cashier the physical and online coupon she still sat on the screen trying to find it instead of just using the code associated with it. I sat at her counter waiting for 20 minutes!!! And she never figured it out I just gave up and left. Today, I'm waiting at the same self checkout for the "help is on the way" sign for another awkward 10 minutes with the same employee until I just took all my stuff out the bags and went to the other checkout on the OTHER side of the store. Wtf is up? Be mindful of people's time, and resources. Everyone can't leisurely wait for incompetency every time they need groceries. This is one of the worst Kroger Stores on the South side of Atlanta. Why is it when the store is in a predominantly Urban area we dont seem to deserve, get or demand quality in our Grocer Chains. Items are never stocked in this store under the correct sale and merchandise signage. Product (especially Meats are often spoiled or outdated. As you can see from the expiration date on the product they are outdated and the other is expiring and separated. I attempted to return the dressing to the store for exchange but Kroger McDonough had more outdated dressings on their shelves so I requested a refund. Per an employee named Sincere who said he was the Store manager the dressing couldn't be returned and he told the young lady at the service desk not to do the return and she didn't. I asked the young lady to page the store's GM and Sincere said he was the store's General Manager which I didn't believe because he was dressed like a stock person. Nonetheless this is a terrible way for a major grocery chain to deal with it's loyal Customers. You can tell that the employees in this store are used to giving inferior customer service with no one calling them to account for the lack of service. read more

I am shocked at Kroger store number 405 in McDonough Georgia! Kroger is known for friendly helpful quality employees. My experience at this Kroger on Sunday November 18th was far less than acceptable. Mid afternoon my wife and I went to the self-checkout with one simple item. The item would not scan. We waited for help. There was no store employee within the self-checkout corral. My wife stayed at the register I walked 2 cash registers over where to Kroger employees were chatting. I walked up and stood in front of them wanting to interrupt your conversation but waited. They did not get the hint. I said "excuse me". They stop their chatting and just looked at me. I asked "is there somebody that's taking care of the self checkout area". The woman looked up at me, her name was Octavia, said "I'm taking care of it sir what do you want" & and just glared at me. I said my wife is having a problem on register number one. She continue to just glare at me. Extremely rude, I'm probably 3 times her age. I wasn't asking for anything except some help. After all as she said it's her job. Why would Kroger hire people that hate their job and show it to the customers. I didn't ask for anything special or anything out of the ordinary. This Kroger has really gone down the drain. I grew up coming to this Kroger but it has really changed, and not for the better. They rarely have my skim milk which I think is pretty basic. I'm not looking for coconut milk, just regular fat free milk. The cashiers that work there are inexperienced. Often times I have to bag my own food or deal with the 16 year old putting peaches with canned food. This location now has to have a guy standing at the door to make sure no one steals...from a grocery store?! That's when you know it's rough. They have since taken out the Chickfila and were on the Atlanta news for having rats in the dog food section of the store. read more

I am so upset at Kroger in McDonough Ga. I bought three different types of batteries one day ago. and found out they are wrong size for my home alarm and smoke detector system so I went back to only exchange the batteries but they will not exchange them because of the virus . I can understand if they were opened or a food item but these were never opened and packaged in plastic. No contamination and can be disinfected if needed but still want take them back. So it cost me 32 dollars and some change but will cost Kroger much more in long run because I want shop there anymore and will do what ever I can to discourage anyone from shopping there, have a nice day Kroger you lost a good customer over this stupid policy. read more

I had a terrible experience, pickup was assigned 4 days after the order, of the 6 items ordered I was notified on day of pickup that those items were out of stock, the one item they provided was not what I ordered. When I tried to return or exchange the item, they advised that the item they provided was what I ordered, and was advised NO RETURNS. read more

There is the closest Kroger to me and I am used to the layout so I frequent this one often. But there is an awful smell when you 1st walk in the doors, almost like a sewer. Over the last few months, the produce has been looking like it's on its last leg. I went in there this evening and the produce was basically empty, something was on the floor that kept sticking to my shoe and the parking lot was beyond dirty. I just felt dirty the whole time I was in there. Maybe today was just a bad day but as a frequent shopper, i wasnt impressed. read more
