Honesty Hour! This is THE CLEANEST Wayfield I have ever been to in all my years!…read more This store is nestled at the end of the shopping plaza but is really the only defining reason to go to the plaza. Upon walking in I was surprised at how clean the store is and how open the floor plan is. Great Job, Management. Wayfield will always be the Meat Gem of grocery stores as their 5 for $24.99 is unmatched when it comes to Grocery Retailers. As such, it was time for some meats, I was in the area, thus I landed here. Along with the clean store and open floor plan (as most Wayfields are usually super crowded) the selection was awesome. Everything was in stock. The meats presented pretty cuts, and best of all, there wasn't any kind of odors coming from the meat department. Along with getting my 5 for $24.99, I stocked up on a few seasonings. I was surprised at the pricing for the bottles of seasonings in relation to how big they are. I had to grab a few. Lastly, my checkout process was quick and simple. There were multiple lines open. The cashier was very friendly. As was the security guard by the front door. Overall, I had a pleasurable shopping experience at this Wayfield! I will make this my go-to location when I'm near the area. #HappyShopping

Although it's quite a distance from my home, I wouldn't mind returning. The store was very clean and organized. The cleanliness stood out because none of the Wayfield locations that I've previously visited can compare. The prices were very reasonable. I purchased snow crab legs for $6.99 a pound and a 2 pound bag of colossal Argentinean red shrimp for $14.99. The staff were friendly and helpful. Cons: The produce was a little iffy and they were out of the all flat wings that Wayfield typically carries.

You used to be able to count on Publix being the only store where prices were correct but I guess times have changed. The one saving grace is that if you do catch an incorrect price, they are usually willing to fix it. So I'd say overall the service is ok. The atmosphere is definitely better than Kroger and Walmart in our area but generally just acceptable. The quality of the products is ok but that quality is outweighed by the high prices and by incorrect prices at checkout. I wish I could say I loved this store but unfortunately I only come here because it's the closest bearable option in my neighborhood. If you come here, you'll most likely find what you need and the quality will be pretty ok, but I really wish they would check their prices more carefully and stop raising them so sky high.

Went back for my salad at 6:05 PM and still it was not ready. It took me another 20 minutes to get someone to help me. Finally someone told me they hadn't cut the chicken for my salad and should've called me. Confused at this point because isn't it possible to slice the chicken need it now on the other side? 48 minutes later of waiting and asking to speak to the manager I finally went to customer service. The manager was physically standing there and told the person who was trying to remotely help me that she was done with her shift and she was leaving not knowing I was standing right there worst customer service ever and unapologetic. The manager at the service desk was apologetic, but she could tell how frustrated I was at that point that I had spent over an hour near the sub in deli section where there were seven people working.

I decided to pay this store a visit because I haven't been in it since it was renovated and changed names. The looks are pleasing. Interesting color scheme. Black and Red. The store has everything you need for the most part. The only problem is the expense. Everything in here is a dollar or two more than other stores. I feel like this store is strictly for the neighborhood people and the convenience. Years ago you could find a lot of cheap items in this store when it was Way field but I get it. They now have specialty items and a better selection of some foods. They have a salad bar, hot food bar and a sandwich making station. I purchased and 8 piece smoke chicken and some bread pudding. The chicken was seasoned, tender and juicy. I paired it with a nice salad. The bread pudding was like home. Not overly sweet and the perfect consistency. I wished I had bought another one. One other thing. Everybody in there speaks to you. They have a full staff and they are very friendly. That's what matters most these days. I will be sure to visit again.

When the oxtails and other meat go on sale the meat is not quality. It seems as if they are trying to get rid of poor quality meat, There is so much fat on the meat that it is not worth the money they are asking. I can say that the fresh squeezed orange juice is very good. The service from that racist manager Ann is ridiculous. Not sure if she is still employed there but she ensured that the most professional and kindest person Lamott was transferred to another store. Everyone loved Lamott because he ensured that as a customer you were satisfied and well taken care of as a customer. If an item on the shelf was mispriced , Ann would not honor the price because it was an error. When an item is mis-priced on the shelf, then it is not the customers fault and should be given to the customer at the price that is marked. There is an alternative school that is up the street from the store which brought in younger black males in the morning hours. Ann would always make distasteful comments about them and asked you to watch them closely when they shopped. She made snide comments saying, why do they wear their pants like that? When the white kids from the academy shopped their, she was all smiles and never one negative comment. Customers would wait in my line for check out because I was a real peoples person and always made them laugh, when the other lines were much shorter. Ann stated to me that I talked too much. WTF. I gave the customers an experience when they shopped, and if they did not mind waiting then why was it a concern. She hired none black high school kids with no experience at a rate higher than she did experienced older black women. I do and did understand her train of thought. Ann definitely gave people of color less respect, especially if they were using food stamps as their payment source. She would make unprofessional comments about what they were purchasing and the amount of food stamps they had in their possession. Was this not monthly revenue for the business ? I wonder if she has made a positive change ? Probably not. I will not shop there as long as she remains employed there.

The store was virtually empty. There were a few people walking around in there but not many. My first impression is that it smelled like extremely old frying grease. They had some items that you cannot find anywhere else. I was happy to find them. I also found some Sunset Farms sausage that I really like to cook. It seems like the store is more of a corner store with a lot more items. Hopefully they will continue to grow. Please do something about the grease smell in there.

Being turned away like that, especially in a situation where I needed something essential, felt frustrating and unprofessional. If store hours have changed, they need to be clearly updated and communicated to customers. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider shopping here. I've never had this issue at Publix, where customers are allowed to shop right up until closing time. This was a very disappointing experience at what I considered my go-to neighborhood grocery store.

Organic this and soy that and absolutely NO generics available for ANY product. I shopped at Wayfield for decades and Winn-Dixie before that, and I can honestly say the store was better before! Wayfield always had the Everyday Essentials generic brand, and it was a good generic too. This store does not stock canned fruit of any kind, their produce is nothing special, and in the time since it was "remodeled", the floors are STILL stripped bare of their original tiles! I guess the price hikes were intended to pay for a new floor, but no one is buying their expensive organic soy fluff! (Seriously, just go in there and look at the floor!) I'm just going to go out on a limb and guess some busybody Woodward parents group suggested some "changes" to the oh-so-working-class Wayfield store, and the owners as usual got to stepping for the Woodward crowd!
