This is one my fav Publix to visit on the East side! I happened to visit this Publix and it was storming so bad when it was time for me to leave. I stood in the entry way with a full cart of groceries waiting on the rain to slow down, which it never did. Soon an employer named MJ approached me and said that he would watch my buggy while I grabbed my car to pull it to the front. He then proceeded to help me swiftly load all my groceries into the car! He even handed me the eggs instead throwing them in the back seat! It's kindness and customer services like this that goes a long way!!! Thanks for such a great grocery experience! I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the Publix Super Market at Madison Yards bakery. I placed a custom cake order weeks in advance and paid ahead of time because this cake was the centerpiece of a large event I was hosting (nearly 100 guests). The entire party was designed around a Harry Potter-themed cake reveal, and I even hired a violinist to create a special moment. What I received was a complete failure. Instead of the full sheet cake I ordered, I was given a quarter sheet cake. Let's be real--what is a quarter sheet cake supposed to do for 100 guests? It completely ruined the moment. We had to cut extremely small pieces and still ran out. The "cake reveal" I planned turned into a rushed and awkward situation. After going back and forth for over 20 minutes, I was offered a half sheet cake, which still would not have been enough. At that point, I was out of time and forced to take what they had and try to make it work. The cake itself was also completely wrong: -Wrong flavor (I ordered vanilla, got a kiddie-style sprinkle "birthday cake") -Wrong design (did NOT resemble the Harry Potter spell book I selected) -Wrong colors (mostly white and nothing like what I requested) Instructions ignored (I asked for no writing or extra decor--just the book design) The most shocking part? I was told by the decorator herself and I quote: " I made the size I know how to make." That is unacceptable. If you can't fulfill an order, communicate that ahead of time so the customer can make other arrangements. I received no call, no warning, no heads up--just a completely incorrect order at pickup. This wasn't just about cake--it was about a planned experience for someone special, and Publix dropped the ball on every level: size, flavor, design, and communication. As someone who plans events often, I can honestly say this was one of the most frustrating vendor experiences I've had. I paid for quality and received something far below standard. Calvin in the deli deserves 5+ stars! He made seven subs in the same time his coworker made one ( literally). It took another worker 15-20 minutes to make one sub. On the other hand, Calvin handled the online orders and the line; helping cut it down. I'm giving the store three stars due to the fact that I had to wait an extra hour for my online ordered sub to be made. Despite Calvin working hard to fulfill orders, I still wish it was ready at my chosen time. read more

I love the salads, ask for them to chop everything to make it more and if you get the chicken tender get half and have them chop fine, it really stretches to a full tender for half the price. The lady that was there didn't have on a name tag but she did not represent the company. She was very loud and rude. Didn't really want to help the customers so she was rushing the customers and showing her frustration. The ambiance of the store are always stocked and plenty of staff in aisles to assist you. They have a salad bar with more items to choose from but it is more expensive. They need cheese and more vegetables from the bar behind the counter for customers. When you get the flowers; get the closed flowers they are 3/$12 equal 3 dozens instead of one dozen for $15.99 of the open ones. read more

Nice store. Well stopped, was able to get everything on my grocery list the day before Thanksgiving. However, I got to the checkout, and there were only three lanes open with the multitude of people wanting to check out. I waited in the line and checked out And my coupon would not go through so I was sent to the customer service counter where Blaine rang my receipt number and applied the coupon. He didn't look at me, smile, or speak the entire transaction and after I paid, he handed the receipt out to me, which I took with my response of "thank you so much for the excellent customer service and the smile Blaine ". His response was quick and he said "thank you for snatching the receipt out of my hand. so, of course, I asked for the manager who was standing right there. And had nothing to say about the entire transaction. I think if you work at the "customer service" counter, you should give good customer service which would include a greeting and a thank you for shopping at Publix response. At minimum. read more

This Publix is a breath of fresh air compared to the nearby Kroger, which is run like a Soviet-era bread line. Publix is expensive, but Kroger and almost every other market is too nowadays (December 2022). The selection is swell, though not a whole lot of deals to be had. But it's pleasant shopping here. Leaving the Kroger nearby can be like trying to get on the last plane out of Kabul. I've never had to wait more than five minutes at this Publix and only use the self-checkout, if I feel like it. Came here for the first time since it was in the area of where I needed to go. Parking garage and a front entrance are convenient but Trying to get your sense of direction at night is confusing. It was daytime when I went in snd night when I came out so I had to stop for a minute. I was greeted when I entered and as I was shopping, another employee asked if I needed help and walked me to the correct aisle which may not seem like much to most people but I don't get that customer service everywhere, much less a supermarket. When I was in self checkout, I was trying to tear the strap clasp on the shopping bag and an employee saw me and offered assistance. Too bad I don't live anywhere near here or I'd shop here often. The employees need a lesson in customer service from the Kroger up the street. You can literally stand at the seafood counter for 15 minutes with absolutely no assistance. The jerk at the sushi counter 2 feet away doesn't acknowledge your existence and the folks working at the deli counter look but provide no offering of help. If you need assistance at the seafood counter, plan on having to use your cell phone to call from the counter to get any assistance and hope someone comes when they feel like it. I brought this issue up to management that fixed it for a bit but now it back to same old we-could-case-less-about-our-customers attitude. It's unfortunate as this location is in a conveniently walkable location but I much prefer to get in my car and drive an extra 5 minutes to Kroger where I know I am a valued customer. I'm glad that there is finally a Publix closer to me to satisfy my Publix fried chicken and crab leg needs. This being a new location, the store is still very organized and clean. I appreciate that the employee behind the seafood counter was pleasant and helpful. Minus one star because the salmon patties at the seafood counter are delivered and not made fresh in house much to my disappointment. This Publix is a newer location and it is smaller than other stores. They do have a small lot outside of the main doors but there is additional parking located in the garage, under the store. They carry all of the items every other Publix carries and I've always been able to find everything needed. The staff has always been nice and available when needed. It's a clean store and I will continue to shop here, no issues here! read more

Coming here feels like cheating on Kroger but damn if it isn't worth it every time. THE DELI!Seriously, try a sandwich if you haven't yet. Staff is so accommodating and the service is wonderful. The Pub subs are straight up made with love. Also, THE PHARMACY! I came here a while back for a COVID vaccine, the process was incredibly streamlined, easy and relaxing. The pharmacists are amazing at their jobs. I would come back here for two more vaccines if I could. I just can't overstate how much shopping is really a pleasure here. While you're walking through the aisles, the staff will greet you and ask if you need any assistance. I don't do too much heavy shopping here, but haven't noticed any major lack of selection. I'm going to start by saying that I'm not sold on Publix. I am definitely more of a Kroger shopper, but Publix has hands down the best deli sandwiches. We came here the other night for dinner which was going to be a deli sub, but I decided to pivot and try their fried chicken. I'm so glad I did! Publix knows what they are doing!! My chicken was fantastic, and I got a side of sweet potato wedges which were the BEST I've ever tasted. My boyfriend ended up getting soup, sandwich and rosemary roasted potatoes. He was pleased with it all. This Publix is brand new, and they seem to have a better selection and organization vs other older stores. I'll definitely be back to explore what the rest of the hot bar has to offer. read more

This was a great addition to the area when it first opened. However now it has simply turned into a hangout to smoke pot in the parking lot. Go anytime after 7p and it's simply cars parked smoking pot. The store is clean and well stocked, but doesn't really make up for the parking lot. read more

I live across the street and treat this Publix as my bordega. I'm in there almost every day, and have been since the beginning, so I've seen the changes over time. First tip - the neighborhood is outgrowing the store. Lines for self checkout stretch to the back of the store often. You need more self checkout stations and you need to maintain the ones you have so that they're all up and running. Second tip - you were totally out of bananas last night at 7pm. Step up the stocking! Third tip - Check the entrance and replenish baskets more often. read more

I want to start by saying I love Publix. It is my favorite place to shop by far. I once went at 7am and it was like the happiest place on earth! It is the main reason this isn't a 1-star review. That being said, the deli at the Madison Yards Publix is making me want to start shopping at the just-a-bit-futher-down Kroger. I am now required to order a lunch sub an hour before I plan to eat as it's never ready in the 30-35 minutes they tell you. Even then, my experience is usually that it's not out waiting for me to pick up and go, sometimes it's still not ready, and occasionally completely the wrong sandwich. Sometimes I'll want to pick up a Rotisserie chicken and that's a gamble unto itself. There is apparently a 3-hour window you can pick one up (between 2-5 seems to be the sweet spot). When you do have to talk to an employee behind the counter for something, when they're not gossiping with other employees in the store, it is like watching paint dry. I won't go too much into that, but let's just say, they definitely do not care about making the line move. I don't complain and when I do leave reviews, I like to do so when they're positive (I have never given anything but 5 star reviews for Uber drivers) so the fact that I'm doing this tells you something. read more

This Publix is brand new, very clean and easy to navigate. It's large enough to have a host of organic products and literally every flavor of Chobani yogurt. It's never busy and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. The meat selection is fresh. The produce is organized. There are amazing sales and BOGO offers. Now, here's where the two stars get taken off. There is an overwhelming aroma in the air. It is the putrid stench of cat pee. It's so strong that I am genuinely concerned for the workers. I'd hate to stop coming here, because it's truly awesome. I assure you, my only complaint is the cat pee smell. I hope it either wears off, or that I become completely nose blind. read more

I went into Publix twice in one day. (Each transaction I spent almost $800) Once that morning for my catering & then later that evening to purchase dinner for my family and I which I ended up purchasing fish from the seafood department. Once I got home to cook the fish I opened the fish and it had a horrible smell. So I reached out to the store and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with a lady, I explained what had happened and due to me living in South Fulton I wasn't able to come in before close. She assured me no worries just to come back to the store at my earliest convenience, show my id and I would be provided with a $50 gift card. Now I was a little upset because not only was dinner ruined but I had to make alternate plans for dinner not to mention I had spent over $1,600 $100 on seafood alone. So today I went in to retrieve my gift card I was told by one male manager that there was only one assistant female manager and he had to go speak with her, he came back with a male manager (Brandon Goodman) who stated that there was no female manager and maybe I had the wrong store. I pulled up my app to show my receipt which was emailed to me but I only had the one from earlier that day but not the evening purchased. I asked so what now? They were very rude saying oh we're not giving you a gift card. This really hurts because I speak so highly of Publix customer service not only that but what happened today goes against Publix guarantee policy. This is the second time this has happened where I received spoiled Seafood from Publix. I will be reaching out to corporate & I will shop elsewhere! read more

The Kroger across I-20 at Glenwood has probably double the variety... more options in terms of almost everything. (For example, their gluten free selection is very small, and entirely relegated to the freezer section. Not much beyond Udi's, and no options of unfrozen bread or gluten free tortillas.) I think I'll keep going to the Glenwood Kroger, both for more variety of options, as well as for those Kroger points that work at Shell stations! read more

Be careful. My car window was busted out in their deck around 7:30pm. When I went to the officer who works there(an off duty APD Officer btw) he told me that maybe I have an enemy. He also suggested I go home and wait for the cops and don't stay there. I knew that didn't sound right So I called on the non-emergency line. Well the police never showed up after I waited almost two hours. With the store closing at 10pm and me having to drive home through Lakewood with no rear window I just went on home. Well fast forward to 3am and two cops come knocking on my door at home(crazy right) to tell me they found my a stolen bag with some of my mail in it. They did not have the bag with them for some reason. After they saw proof of my window being busted out they abruptly left. I had to pick up the bag from the property building near old Bankhead. I contacted security at Publix and they emailed me that they are just tenants and not only do they not patrol that area they also don't have cameras in that deck so just be aware and good luck. read more
