I had the most delightful experience here! My partner and I have never been in T&T Meats before and have been wanting to stop by and we finally did and we should have stopped by sooner! This cute mini shop on the corner does not disappoint..The staff were EXTREMELY helpful and friendly. By no means are we meat connoisseurs and they broke it all the way down for us. We ended up leaving with some brisket burgers, links, pimento cheese, chicken sausage (yes you read that right!) & some peach bbq sauce that I was really surprised I would like. A few people today me about T&T meats and boy I glad I paid them a visit. So many wild caught seafood. Both guys in the store was very helpful and friendly. I do feel like the meats are moderately priced for the quality of meats and fish you are getting. This will be where I get my meats going forward. I don't Have to worry about getting meats or Fish loaded with extra crap. I asked about goat and he stated his wholesaler only seals whole goat. This place is awesome!!!! Friendly atmosphere from the time you walk in. Your greeted with a smile. That's hard to come by these days. We explained it was our first time in and they actually took the time to explain cuts, the best time to come and why they chose the days that they close. Now the reason why we went, the meat!!! Disclosure: Yes, I am a steak snob. Red meat is not really GOOD for you, so when I do eat it, I want it to be really good. New York is my preferred vice, with Rib Eye a distant second. Cooked medium, with appropriate seasoning, it is fantastic. Georgia National Country Club serves a New York steak to die for..... We have also had good luck with Costco steaks when they have PRIME beef in store. Any butcher shop, like T&T, worth its salt, would carry a decent supply of PRIME beef. Not T&T.... we have tried repeatedly to give them a chance with lesser grades of beef to provide a great tasting steak, but they have come up short every time. It seems they charge PRIME prices, but do not provide PRIME beef. We just finished dinner... T&T New York steaks... cooked medium, medium rare, lightly seasoned. Bland, close to flavorless, with a less than firm texture. Could only eat a couple of ounces, the rest went into the dog bowl. I am sure they are nice people, and they do seem to have a good reputation (my neighbors recommended them), but they simply do not measure up. BTW, the dogs loved it! read more

A real butcher shop. I was looking for meaty beef ribs to smoke and they had plenty as well as a wide variety of meats. I purchased a 3 bone slab, right under $40. Not cheap but good quality meat. They also have huge tomahawk steaks and picanha steaks. The picanha steaks are served at Brazilian steakhouses. Be prepared to spend a little extra on quality meat. read more

I love this butcher shop! They have everything from fresh beef, chicken, and pork here. They also have a select few frozen veggies and seafood. In addition they sell local honey and marinades that you won't find anywhere else. Their pimento cheese and chicken salad is absolutely delicious!! I come to get the chicken salad and just eat it right out of the container! They are pricey, I believe last time I was here it was $17 a pound for NY steak. Well worth it if you're willing to splurge! I did find the ground sausage to be a little salty for me personally though but definitely check out this butcher! It's worth it!! read more

Preparing for a vacation, I called T&T Meats to get some things ready for a specific recipe. They took my order over the phone, and were cutting the order fresh when I arrived at the appointed time to pick it up. Very friendly. Maybe a little pricey, but worth it. I got about three pounds of top-sirloin and another three pounds of chicken breast, cut up into kebab cubes specifically for my recipe. I didn't have to trim off a single bit of fat or gristle or cartilage from any part of it. This was exactly what we needed. It was also carefully wrapped in freezer paper and easy to transport. T&T do a wide variety of meat, poultry, and seafood. They have package deals to fill the needs of any sized family. In fact, I've always wanted to do a pig-roast, and may have to pick up a pig from these folks. I think they also have some outreach to the local farming community to get the occasional farm-fresh veggie in to accompany whatever proteins you're about to buy. Give these folks a shout. T & T Meats is a carnivore's paradise. I try to find most of my meat at the Publix Butcher; however, I went to this store to get a Boston Butt for smoking because I wanted to try out my new smoker and I wanted to talk to the Butcher. I have been here before and I knew the owner. I first found out that someone else bought it because the previous owner passed away. I also found out that the new owner is running the shop the same way. It is the old school classic butcher shop. The only thing the is missing are the hanging racks of sausages but that might just be in the cartoons. When I went in the store the owner greeted me but let me shop. He answered the questions I had and even gave advise when I asked for it. Some small shops are pushy but he was not. They have both a fresh selection and a frozen section and when you buy greater quantities you usually get a discount. Although they mostly carry meat, they have a few things like frozen veggies and some cheeses that go well with the meat. In summary, if you want a great cut of meat at a decent price T & T Meats is the place for you. read more

I live in Griffin Ga and am not at all happy with the meats I've been buying at the grocery store. I went to T and T on 3/19/21. The staff was so friendly and helpful, explaining their package deals and everything else they offered. I bought some ribeyes, chicken , bacon , ground beef and sausage. Last night we ate the ribeyes, I only salt and peppered them. Without any meat tenderizing marinades, because I wanted to see how tender they were on their on. They were incredible, tender and juicy, by far the best ribeyes we've every eaten!!!! I didn't do a package deal because I wanted to see if they were worth the drive from Griffin! Next time I will definitely do the package deal. The prices were higher than average, on individual items, but the quality and taste were so much better, it was worth every penny! The package deals prices are pretty close to high quality at the grocery stores. You get what you pay for!! Can't wait to try the other meats I bought. read more

Went in the day before Mother's Day to pick up some steaks. The place was very clean and the people were super friendly. Picked up three of the most beautiful Porterhouse steaks that I have ever seen. Super fresh and they were delicious. Much better than any from Kroger or Publix. Prices were good. Everybody is very friendly here. My husband and I went in and they made us feel like family. They let you sample a slice of cake which is one of the best red velvet cakes I've ever tasted and even had a really great lemonade. They have the best ground chuck and it makes the best burgers . I also got 2 racks of lamb here and they were so tasty. They have package deals on their meats and reasonably priced. Wonderful place! Excellent quality meats. I love the package deals they have. It makes it so easy to call ahead and then come and pick up your meat. They are quite busy, so call in advance, give them a little time to prepare your order. Then bring your own box or container to carry it home in your car. Went to check out these guys Saturday. Couldn't have been more pleased. The place itself is oh so cute and smells amazing. Smelt like fall definitely not like a butcher shop. They were oh so friendly. The best part the meat selection it is all just so fresh and amazing! I cooked some of their cube steaks yesterday. Tender and just a grand difference in quality compared to the local supermarket. They have grass fed meat and you can just tell the quality of their product.
