I want to share my honest experience so others can make an informed decision…read more A week ago, bad weather kept my usual meat delivery guy from coming, so I called Wilkes Meats. I told the owner I normally buy a month's worth of steaks at a time. He quoted me a price over the phone that was much higher than what I usually pay, so I told him I'd call back. About ten minutes later, he called me saying he was closing early because of the weather and offered me approximately 26 steaks for $445. I agreed. When I arrived, the first red flag was that there was no meat in the display cases at all. He brought out a whole cut to show me before slicing it. While cutting, he wore no gloves, which I noticed, but I figured I would wash the steaks at home anyway. That night, I cooked one steak. It had a strange smell--different from anything I've ever gotten from my usual supplier. I thought maybe it was my air fryer, even though I always cook steaks the same way. About ten minutes after eating, I had diarrhea and vomiting. The next day I still felt sick, so I only ate bread. The following day, I tried another steak. Same smell. Same reaction--immediate vomiting and diarrhea. That's when I realized the meat was the problem. I threw the rest away. I called the owner to explain what happened. As I'm telling him everything, he's quiet. Then he says, "Come up Monday and we can work something out." I told him I didn't want more meat from him--why would I risk getting sick again. His response was basically that replacing the meat was all he could offer. I told him I would dispute the charge with American Express and leave an honest review. He said "OK," so here I am. I spent $445 on steaks that made me sick twice and ended up in the trash. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place. If you buy in bulk, be aware: in my opinion, it felt like I was given older meat they were trying to get rid of. A butcher doesn't want to throw out product, and unfortunately, I believe that's exactly what happened here. I'm not a butcher or a competitor--just a customer sharing what happened. If you can, avoid this place, especially for bulk purchases.

Just a nice community meat market, nothing extraordinary to speak off, prices seem a little higher…read morethen average, very limited on US Prime meats, lots of big retail items that you find in big box store for less

Truly a piece of culinary excellence…read more For the most part, our table stuck with appetizers, and somehow that alone delivered a full dining experience. Every single dish came out intentional, balanced, and full of flavor -- the kind of food that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite. Some highlights from our visit: Bread Basket -- warm focaccia with EVOO, balsamic, house dipping oil, and whipped ricotta (absolutely dangerous) Crab Stuffed Mushrooms -- rich, delicate, finished with a lemon butter drizzle Braciola -- parmesan breadcrumb filling, red sauce, served with focaccia Beet Carpaccio -- roasted beets, goat cheese, candied walnuts, arugula -- the perfect mix of sweet, earthy, and fresh Fried Tortellini -- cheese-filled with an nduja parmesan sauce that had serious depth Italian Spring Rolls -- pepperoni, sausage, mozzarella, peppers & onions -- unexpectedly incredible Even though we focused on starters, nothing felt small or secondary. Each plate stood on its own and showcased the kitchen's attention to detail and flavor. The drinks were immaculate -- balanced, smooth, and thoughtfully crafted. Yes, the plates looked like they came from Dollar Tree (no judgment, lol), but when the food is this good, that becomes part of the charm instead of a flaw. I'm already looking forward to going back. Fresca Trattoria is one of those places that reminds you why dining out can still be special.

Overpriced & not good ambiance…read more Restaurant was empty but we were seated right next to only other table with people, next to bar area, apparently to make it more convenient for wait staff/right next to kitchen/service area. Food tasted good though.

The employees that work here are very disrespectful and discriminatory. I picked up a few items and…read morewent to check out. While the clerk was ringing up my items I began putting in my customer loyalty number. The clerk observed me putting in my number and pressed a button which blocked my attempt. I then asked her to allow me the opportunity to enter my phone number so that I could earn points for the purchase. She refused. I asked to speak with a manager. Another clerk came over, told me the person who I was speaking with was her manager, and attempted to go back and forth with me about a more complicated way of getting credit for the purchase (which had not been completed). I told the clerk I was not interested in going back and forth and just wanted to purchase my items using my customer loyalty number. The whole time the second clerk that approached is looking me up and down. She then called a male coworker to the front. I then walked over to the customer service desk and began looking for the corporate office information. While waiting at the customer service desk, the second clerk (Tracey) asked the initial clerk (Negist) was she "alright." In my opinion, this was done to intimidate me and to signal that she would call authorities because I was prepared to complain about the service I received. This was one of the worst shopping experiences, if not the worst, I have ever had.

I really only continue to go cause the best snacks is here. They have two type of cashiers. The ones who want to work and the ones who don't. Let you come with a full cart or a kid in tow and the eye roll the annoyance they feel free you stoping their conversation is real. In the end get only what you need or unhealthy snack and get on. Might as well be a corner store.
