I'm a little late writing this review because I've been debating whether to continue shopping here or find a new meat shop. During my last visit, I had a very unpleasant interaction with a woman behind the counter who displayed a complete lack of emotional maturity, very nasty demeanor, unprofessional. An item in the package I ordered was unavailable, which was fine, but when I asked if I could choose a different item of equal or lesser value instead of the automatic substitution, her entire demeanor shifted and she became visibly frustrated. She rolled her eyes, placed both hands on her head, took an exaggerated deep breath. I calmly explained that I wasn't trying to frustrate her, I simply wanted to choose an item that suited my household's needs. (Why waste my money, right? ) When I asked if she could check with a supervisor to approve a swap, she grew even more irritated. The level of attitude and unnecessary hostility in that moment was astounding. She then went on a defensive rant about everything she had done to have the item replaced. She went to the back to speak with someone on the phone again and after coming back out, I was able to do the swap. Also she was very rude to the skin older gentleman that was there as well. After completing my purchase, the older gentleman offered to take the items to my car. I initially refused but I allowed it. As I look up from my car, the same woman also came outside. I'm not sure why but I can only imagine it was to look for a reason to antagonize me. Nonetheless, I remained polite throughout the exchange, but speaking with someone behaving like an emotionally unregulated child is not an experience I expect as a paying customer. I'm still unsure if I'll return, but if I do, I sincerely hope not to encounter that same employee or that kind of poor behavior again. Maybe a mental institution is best suited for her instead of being behind someone's counter. I only gave 3 stars because it was my first negative experience, but that was enough for me. read more

Stopped by this place yesterday on recommendation from a couple of people. The place is situated on a small lot with a fair amount of parking and parking space in the nearby lots if those are full. I pulled up and noticed that they offer curbside service as well. That's a great service to offer especially during this corona pandemic. Walking up to the door, I was relieved because there was a sign that stated that you must wear a mask in order to enter the store. I walked in, masked up and was greeted by a very nice woman. She was extremely helpful and professional. I told her what I wanted and she gathered the items from the freezer. Let me add that it was very clean in there and you could tell that they had been cleaning because I could smell bleach. Their selection and prices are impeccable. They have almost every meat that you can think of and it's fresh. I will definitely return. read more

Very nice people. Prices are a touch more expensive than a Walmart but on par with Kroger. The T bone steaks are thin and will not cook well on the grill. Not happy with that purchase. On 4/15/2022 at about 1-1:30pm my friend and I went to meat master as it was recommended to us by another friend. It was me and my friend who accompanied me first time there. We walked in with two other customers (not with us) we are all greeted by a woman who was very passive aggressive, micro shopping us, rushing us and being very overwhelming to us all. We stayed it was our first time there and we need to look around a little, she then gave us a menu for us to see what exactly was in stock there (that was helpful) I went for oxtails but wanted to see if there was something else I could pick up while there but she was being so rude rushing use and repeatedly asking us if we were done and ready to check out it was so rude! I got the oxtail because I drove all the way from Lawrenceville just to get them but I will NEVER in my life go back there again! Not only because she was very rude and rushing us as if we were playing in the store or something but the was sooo much fat on the oxtails and hair.... Yessss hair on them!!!! Disgusting! it took me soooo long to clean them off and look for hair and pull them off of each one and also cut all that fat off! ‍ I have been buying oxtails for 15 years and I've never found hair on my oxtail because the black I get them from was clean! And cleaned them off thoroughly! I recommend you all to drive an extra 15 minutes up the street from meat master and go to "Municipal Market " it's much bigger with a much bigger selection and fresh (not frozen) meat and the people are much nicer and won't rush you! I've been in the area for over 2 years and didn't know they existed. The owner was super nice and said they'd been there for 32 years! So awesome because it's a family run business. He was very welcoming and helpful. They had any meat imaginable and I think all or most were frozen and pre-packaged. Their prices weren't mind blowing and some things were comparable to a grocery store which sucked because we went to buy bulk meat for our new keto diet for the low. We did buy 5lbs of chicken breast and 5lbs of rib tips. Haven't cooked it yet. They also had sides like 5lb bags a fries for a great price. I'd go back for some of the items based on price alone.
