A small butcher shop with a deli counter that looks quite unassuming from the outside. But let me tell you this is quite the hidden gem. I wrote out my order and it was made within five minutes. Everyone on staff was quite friendly and helpful. I got the ultimate Italian sandwich. When I get around to making my [well admired by my family, friends, and neighbors] pasta sauce I simply cannot finish the sauce without adding in a few Spezzano's meatballs per plate and also offering up some Italian hot sausage for those who want it. Both the meatballs and Italian hot hausage are real and delicious with no questionable ingredients that sound like they're from a chemistry set. This place is a dry good butcher shop...when you get waited on by the staff. On several occasions I have driven out of my way to try and support this local business instead of going to a chain grocery store, just to be ignored by the guys behind the butcher counter. Today was the last day for me going there as two guys were tasting soup for about 5 minutes while I stood there. The poor girl who was working her tail off making sandwiches said twice someone would help me ,but the two guys continued to ignore me. read more

Spezzano's is an amazing butcher shop. They always greet me by name and they know what we like. The meats are always the best quality. we will not even buy meats at the other grocery stores around. If you don't see it in the display case, just ask them, if they don't have it they will order it for you. They also make sandwiches that are great too! read more

We've purchased all of our meat here for several years now. Always good and fresh! One year, they closed the Saturday after thanksgiving and we forgot. Had to get ground beef at Kroger instead. My young daughter complained about the taste. You can tell the difference even in tacos! Our favorite thing is the sausages. They make their own chorizo, bratwurst, breakfast and Italian sausage. I have good recipes for all and they turn out so much better! Nothing but meat and spices, no unpronounceable preservatives. Yes, the store and fixtures are ancient, but we have never once in all these years had any bad experience with the food. Everyone is always friendly, even on crazy busy Saturdays. read more

We have tried bacon wrapped filets, strips, ribeyes, handmade sausages, brisket, ribs, flank steaks, breakfast sausage and bacon - in short, have never been disappointed. Very high quality product, cut to order. Competitive prices but with much higher yield when cooked. Ate lunch there a few times as well - world class meatball and loaded Italian subs. The best quality meat you can find. I love their all natural chicken. Customer service is always outstanding, they treat you like family. And if there is something you want and do not see it, just ask and they will get it for you. Like Taylor Ham!!! As for the ribeye they are delicious especially the bone in. It is all in how you cook them and season them. Also you have to try their dying in lunch sandwiches hot and cold especially the meatball sub. read more

I've stopped in before for sandwiches and their bagels (made in Brooklyn), which are fantastic. This week we decided to pick up four of their bacon wrapped fillets for some guests and they were OUT OF THIS WORLD. The fillets were so tender you could cut them with a fork. Cooked to medium rare and everyone raved about them. I haven't tried their other cuts, but based on the fillet we will be giving them a shot as well. I can't recommend Spezzano's enough! read more

OMG! Words can not even begin to describe how weird that place is. It's kind of like some of the grocery stores Russia had back in the Solviet Era with the dark dingy empty and messy shelves. The nasty dirt everywhere and the owner literally raising his kids in the other half of the store. At first I thought it was like a thrift store back there but then I realized that kids where like actually keeping their junk there. So weird. Most of the produce looked horrible. Dirty, old, flies everywhere. The meat was like just wrapped up and had just scribble on it. The place was so dirty! I really wanted to leave as soon as I walked in but felt so bad. So dingy. I wanted to love this place so much as my husband and I appreciate good quality, no fillers or preservatives just good meat, but they fell short in a few areas. I gave them a few tries and although the meat was good, prices reasonable and the service friendly it came down to improper handling of the meat (my dad was a butcher his entire life), uncleanliness, and function of store. There was toddler furniture on one side of store as if it were a daycare or storage (not really sure, but strange for a meat market). The freezers looked as if packages were just thrown in there and I couldn't really determine what was what. I witnessed a butcher cutting meat then turn around handling other things (including a dirty rag) and return to meat without washing hands or using gloves--this was the icing on the cake for me. Then the lady who packaged my order did the same! Wait, I'm not done! She then continued to check me out never once washing her hands! I was horrified. Overall the store is dark and dingy, dirty, and could use a makeover. The owner was really friendly and chatty my first visit, but even told me he would purchase BOGO's for his shelf items from Publix to resell there as it was more cost effective. I'm sorry Spezzano's, I'm all about promoting local businesses as I live in Tyrone, but you need to clean it up over there. The owner told me he couldn't understand why ppl weren't coming back and I'm afraid this is why. read more

Best meats around. I buy all my meats from them, chicken, beef & pork. The ribs always come out great in the smoker and the bone in CAB ribeye steaks are fantastic on the grill. I also can tell the difference between the chicken I buy here and chicken from supermarkets. read more
