I like their seafood counter, bc it is always busy, which equates to higher turn around, which means fresher seafood!! I love the Jumbo Shrimp!! And I love the sales!! Pharmacy: The text messaging and call that my Rx was ready to be picked up, was helpful and timely. My frustration was with the pharmacy tech, who filled my Rx for 30 days instead of 90 days.... When I asked why, he was annoyed and typed on his keyboard a few times and stated, "my insurance does not allow 90 days..." I paid for my statin. He said I should come back every 30 days for my refills. When I returned home, I looked up my insurance PBM and found in my account, that YES, Express Scripts does approve my medicine for 90 days! and it even gave me the prices to expect. I am mad that I was deceived by the tech. Did he want to make a bonus for more refills, or is he just that lazy? Now I am skipping this pharmacy, for a much better 90 day Rx price with Express Scripts mail order. read more

Absolutely terrible! Moved to this area recently and totally miss our old Kroger. Not sure why management has allowed this store to go to waste. Employees are unfriendly, and the ClickList has caused more headache than convenience. Leaving off items that are paid for, or not including items that are in stock. Super frustrating. We've even seen a dog in the store! And I'm not talking about a service dog. Just a little mutt that was running down the bread isle peeing. We usually have good experiences with Kroger but this one was pretty bad. Ordered groceries online and went to the pickup area. Couple minute wait, but not bad. The kid loading the groceries seemed polite enough but when I got home, it turns out he threw all of the groceries in my trunk with bagging them. Not the experience I'm used to. read more

No employees are ever at the checkout! One check out person all the time! They look exhausted. Also that's not a place for special needs kids to bag groceries - unfair to the customer and also them. Very busy store. I go almost every day - the manager, definitely is not paying attention to anyone needs, as well. I also understand special needs Kids. So thats not the problem. It's the store. Perhaps the worst run grocery store I've ever been to. Went for a yellow onion and ketchup. They neither. Not a single cart to be found in the store. Make sure you grab a cart from the parking lot before you enter. Really bad meat counter. To top it off it's expensive. If you are willing to pay those types of prices for picked over selections just go down the road and get something better at Whole Foods or Market Street. This is just a bad store. read more

The staff here is very kind, and it's a clean store, but the last few times I've bought food here it's been rotted, expired, or has something wrong with it. I got a little pack of cheese and sausage and discovered lots of mold at the bottom when I opened it. There was some kind of black and brown substance on the sushi I purchased. Then, last time I went, I bought some potato soup from their kitchen, and there were long black hairs in it. I won't be buying any more food here, which is a shame since I live and work so close. read more

I love this Kroger, by far my favorite grocery store to shop at. It's similar to Walmart in the sense that they have more than just groceries but it's nothing like Walmart in the fact that they never have lines when checking out, the checkers are always so friendly and very fast. I've been to this Kroger twice and there will not be a third time. In fact I'll probably be avoiding Kroger in general. Both times I dealt with really rude cashiers. The first time when I gave the kid my phone number for the Kroger card he told me it wasn't a valid number but I had used it just a week before at Kroger in Denton. The kid was really rude about it too, he seemed put out that I was giving him a phone number instead of presenting the card (I guess because it required input from him) but I don't carry all those things around in my wallet. Neither do most people I know, and most stores know that which is why they have the phone number method. Finally he tells me to hang on while he does something and acted like he had fixed it. However I get home and look at my receipt to find that I was charged the non-member price on everything. Why this kid couldn't enter or find my phone number is beyond me, given how rude he was I'm guessing he just didn't want to. So I email Kroger about it wanting them to fix it and they're useless. After a few days I get an email saying that they applied the fuel points to my card. Well that's all fine and dandy but I was more ticked off about the extra money I was charged. So I had to email them back and finally they tell me that there's a $10 credit on my card that I can use the next time I go to Kroger. I don't know if that was more or less than the difference I paid but it was good enough for me. So I go back to this Kroger after digging out the physical Kroger card in case I get another lazy/rude kid. This time I get an adult and I tell her about the $10 credit on my account. She snaps at me "Who told you that?". I told her it was Kroger customer service and she just gives me this rude stare, shakes her head then snaps out the total. There was no "Sorry, it's not showing up" or "Let me try to figure out what's going on here", just rudeness. If the first kid was rude this lady was RUDE. Which I found surprising considering I'd already demonstrated my willingness to contact corporate. Or maybe that was the reason for it. I bit my tongue and just paid and went home. Naturally I contacted Kroger again, to find out what was up with the credit and also to complain about this rude cashier. I got a reply later from Kroger explaining that I have to present my card and inform the cashier about the credit before they start ringing anything up. Something they could have explained the first time and saved me the hassle and the rudeness. Something the cashier should have known or if not a manager, who she never tried to call. I should have but I just wanted to get out of this terrible store. By the way there was nobody behind me in line so she could have tried to assist in some way rather than just being rude about it. So anyway I'm going to go to Kroger in Denton to buy $10 worth of stuff with the credit, being careful not to give Kroger an extra dime and not going back unless I have to. I'm certainly never going back to this one. Two very rude cashiers on two consecutive visits, why would I go back for thirds? The first time wasn't THAT bad, typical rude/lazy teenager. I've dealt with worse. But when it comes to that second visit I've honestly never had anybody at a business be that rude, acting either like I was a scammer or a snitch, I'm not sure which. Continue to be very disappointed in the store. They are constantly rearranging it which is frustrating, & they almost never have regular items we're looking for. The only saving grace was the convenience of the Scan & Shop which helped to avoid long checkout lines or dealing with annoying self checkout scanners. Very helpful friendly customer service at this Kroger! They always offer to help you find the item you are looking for. This Christmas Eve we were shopping for powdered sugar for Cinnamon Roll Frosting. Stock was low due to the Holiday shoppers. George located a bag and brought us a bag of powdered sugar as we checked out. It saved us from having to shop elsewhere. We also love the fuel points! read more

Just moved from Austin where HEB is the predominant grocery store. I was excited when I saw something similar to a super H-E-B close to my new house. This Kroger is pretty much a Kroger house brand warehouse. They have some name brand products but you pay a premium price for them. Long checkout lines due to understaffed checkers. They are clearly pushing people to self check which wouldn't be bad if they passed some of their savings from self checkout to the customers. My average shopping total is much higher that it was at H-E-B. H-E-B if you are listening you have a huge market potential here. My Kroger experience is what people up here are used to. read more

Good grocery store. Lots of choices and it is very nice. Produce and meat are also fresh and tasty. We use the Clicklist and it's great.

I am really rating the store as well as the restaurants inside. I really like the store and the selection and the lay-out. Staff is very helpful. If I was rating the store only, it would be 5 stars. The restaurants, not so much. Start by saying the Sushi team is awesome and they are so helpful. The rest of the people are so busy talking and hiding, you can't get helped. They finally got the food temperatures right so that it isn't cold. I am surprised that they are even keeping that part open. The Starbucks kids need to find someone to talk to after work so that customers can get a chance to order without waiting for a break in the conversation. They have their paperwork laying on the tables and window sills behind their area so there are 2 or 3 tables that can't be used. We can't eat outside on the patio because employees use it as the smoking lounge when they are on break and it wreaks of cigarette smoke even when they aren't there. Some days it is so bad that you can't even walk in that entrance. I thought the convenience of having the restaurants inside of the store would be nice, but I won't be back. I transferred my insulin prescription to this pharmacy but when my wife picked it up there was 1/3 of what I normally always get. I never received a satisfactory answer as to why. I think they are steeling it to sell on the back market. My health insurance provider said not to use them. read more

Original review: Aug. 14, 2020 We have purchased Home Chef meals at Kroger's for over a year and have had no issues. The last couple of months the packaging has changed and we purchased 5 meals 17.00 $ a meal and 3 of the meat products were bad 5 days before the expiration dates. Which not only concerns me for all consumers but what if you were negated the smell because the due date didn't expire for 5 more days. I reached out to customer service it took them 3 weeks to respond and all they wanted to do is reimburse me for 1 meal. I didn't want anything , I wanted to know as a consumer of this product how can you insure me these products are safe for all ? I have heard nothing from Kroger's which I think is so wrong on so many levels ! It has been 4 weeks my next stop is the reporting them to the health department. If anyone has a connection or a better idea please let me know. To me this is shameful behavior and needs to be escalated for all our safety. read more

I have been buying my groceries from this store for a number of years but today I decided to stop. It appears to me that they are becoming a high-priced ALDI's. I went to shop today and about half way through I realized that only two items in my basket were the product and brand that I wanted. When I discovered that they no longer had Ro-Tel tomatos but offered the store brand of "Mexican tomatoes" instead I drew the line. I like Ro-Tel tomatoes, I like Tennessee Pride frozen Sausage, egg and cheese biscuits, not Jimmy Dean (which are the worst) and Krogers brand, I like Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, not some generic brand. I live in a small place and have very little storage so I like two packs of Brawney paper towels, not 6 or 12! So, being the nice person I am, I retraced my steps and returned every item in my basket to the correct place and walked out. I went to Walmart and found ever item on my list and the brands I like and it was cheaper. So long Kroger. read more

Great store but management needs to do something about training the baggers. Not only is it a slow process but damaging as well. Cleaning products mixed in with food, squashed bread and eggs because jars and other heavy items were placed on top of them. Both Krogers I've been to are like this. I commend them for giving people of special needs a job but they NEED SOME TRAINING and SUPERVISION. I would do the Kroger Clicklist and never had an issue. Today was awful picking up my groceries. I did the 1 to 2 time slot. I arrived at 1 and it was busy. When I called I was on hold for 15 minutes. Someone came by my car and the employee told me they are still working on my order. She said I could either wait or come back later. I told her I would wait thinking it shouldn't be much longer. 30 minutes went by and cars were arriving and leaving while I was still waiting. I called again and they said they were still working on my groceries. 20 minutes later someone came out and said it will be another 10 minutes. Another 20 and 30 minutes went by and had to call AGAIN, and cars were coming after me and leaving before me. When my groceries finally came I waited for 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES! NO APOLOGY OR ANYTHING! I talked to the manager and was wanting a refund or something since my wait was so long. The manager could only give me $10 back and she was very dismissive. Worst clicklist experience. I would not recommend this Kroger if you are wanting to do a grocery pick up. read more

This is the closest grocery store next to my home. I've lived here for 15 years and when I first heard about this store opening I got excited. However, the fruit they have is absolutely rancid. I've gotten prepackaged fruit that they sale and all I taste is Citric Acid it's what keeps the fruit looking "fresh." I'm appalled by how much they price their fruit and how much citric acid they put in there. It ruins the entire fruit tray. The only reason I leave one star is because of the young man with long hair who usually works in self checkout. He's a great employee. The rest of them are not polite at all. I continually go out of my way to go to better grocery stores than going to Kroger. It's ridiculous. read more

This post is regarding Kroger's fuel points program. Specifically, understanding the choices at the pump. I had about 1000 points for July and about 1400 for August. On August 26th I bought fuel at Kroger Bartonville with the intention of using my July points before they expired. I wanted to get the maximum amount off, which is one dollar per gallon so I chose option one. But I learned today from Kroger fuel points program customer service that that meant I was going to use the month with the highest point value which was August, not get the most amount off per gallon. Why wouldn't Kroger automatically use the oldest points first since they expire? So when I bought groceries in September, I found out that my 1000 July fuel points just evaporated on September 1st and that my August points were 1000 below what I expected to see. I explained this misunderstanding to Phil at Kroger Fuel points program and asked if he could reinstate my lost points. And of course, he said NO. Poor customer service!!! read more

Horrible! Every week I come I have to battle employees shopping for click list, they are rude and park their carts in the middle of the aisles. The last two weeks there have been no carts at the entrance I've entered. The past 4 times I've bought milk (yes, their brand) it has spoiled several days to a week before the date on the package. And check out is a complete nightmare... usually only 1-2 checkers open, with all self check out open and all lines are usually 5-7 people deep and this is on a Tuesday mid day. I don't mind self check out but their's are entirely to small when shopping for a family of 6 and only one employee assisting 8 self check out lanes. PHARMACY - This Kroger Pharmacy is so bad, they are excruciatingly slow if you're in the drive-thru, they can't get prescriptions filled in a timely manner. There is one guy that works in that is friendly, the other girls are so rude, no customer service skills whatsoever. I am so SAD our insurance won't take Walgreens anymore. This Kroger is hands-down the best for delivery in the Lantana area. Instacart is user friendly for ordering, too. We get groceries delivered twice a month and have never had a problem. Shoppers choose freshest (like when getting milk) and deliveries are prompt and drivers are courteous. read more

I love how they have scanners so you can check out while you shop. And then you go and check out at the self checkout by just scanning the label on the check out screen. Then you just pay. But the scanner loses battery fast. And it can glitch abit. But it can get the job done. But the only way to use it is to have a Kroger membership card. But I still love it! read more

This is our primary grocery store, we love the location as we are about 20 minutes away. It is always clean. My biggest complaint is that the checkout experience is terrible. Slow checkers and baggers are terrible. They put 1 think in a bag and place it in our basket. It takes forever to get out of the store. I have been profiled on several different occasions in various ways. The first instance of the profiling matter occurred as I was walking into the store. Upon entering the store a seemingly middle aged woman was exiting the store, as we crossed paths the theft detector went off and the woman was not stop or questioned, however me the young male with long hair ENTERING the building was stopped on suspicion of theft. After a brief encounter and upon the employee's finally comprehensive realization that I was entering the store and had no way possible of having stole anything was free to go about my business. Not but a few days if not a week later I return to the same Kroger. While I'm in a aisle looking for acetone I notice a Kroger employee walk into the same aisle as me with a price scanner, and it must be noted that we are the only two people in this aisle. The Kroger employee proceeds to pick up various products at random, does NOT scan any of the items he picks up and places them back and "coincidentally" leaves the aisle once I have left the aisle. Another instance occurred just days later when I was purchasing snacks for work, note that none of the food or drink items have a theft prevention device on them, as I finish purchasing my goods and am walking out the store I see two other customers leave through the same doors I was about to walk out of seconds later, however before I can get through the doors the theft alarm was, to what I can only presume was manually set off, and so I stopped and waited for an employee to come over so I could prove I have done nothing wrong. I exclaimed that you can check my bags and my receipts whatever you need, however the employee decides to ignore my words and ask about each item and if I paid for them and then had the audacity to say "you know what you can just go" without even checking any of my receipts, blatantly assumed I was guilty but didn't care enough if I was, which I was not if that wasn't already clear. Finally, a couple of weeks later I'm in the back aisle of the store shopping for meat when I notice what appears to be a supervisor looking at me and then picks up the nearby phone and asks for what I assume was an assistant manager to come to the, you guessed it, back aisle, the one I'm in. As I'm deciding on which products I'm going to purchase I note the supervisor walks past me to a point where he's now a few feet behind me, as to try and possibly catch me in some act of thievery I presume. Upon the assistant manager meeting up with the supervisor who called for him to the back aisle I couldn't help but get close enough to hear what this conversation they were having would be about. Not to my surprise, because of how often they've profiled me to this point, the supervisor tells the assistant manager to "keep an eye out on certain customers," which I can only assume means me considering the supervisor was staring directly at me before picking up the phone, and while on the phone and stayed as close by to me as possible until his assistant manager could arrive. The reason I wrote this article is to hopefully bring some awareness to the matter and to see if anyone else has experienced similar issues at this location. read more

I have been a faithful Kroger shopper no matter where I live in the Metroplex for 20 years. This Kroger desperately needs to show its baggers how to bag groceries. You either end up with everything in 2 bags and produce on the bottom or 99 bags with one or two mismatched items in each. I recently had peaches and necterines in a reusable bag with an 18 count of eggs standing on its side on top with a bag of potatoes on top of everything. Typically I ask to just bag my own items but also have had one or two baggers give me a hard time because I refuse to let them bag. Get it together Kroger. read more

I witnessed the horrible customer service of one of the managers whose last name I noticed was Gatlin. He treated his employee so bad, I felt awful for her. I asked her about why he was like that and she said he was always horrible to his employees. That it was nothing new. It made me very upset to see how they are treated there. The next time I was there shopping I asked another employee what he thought of Gatlin and he said he does his best to stay away from him.
