I'm done with Kroger and for good reason. After my experience with the other Kroger yesterday I truly can't believe the same thing happened one day later at a different store. Went in again,for the convenience,to grab some juice. Incidentally saw Beyond Beef on sale for $5.99 each,buy one get one free! Sold. Now,remembering what happened yesterday with the price confusion at the other store,I snapped a quick photo,( evidence) just in case. Again,checked out and looking at my receipt as I walked out noticed,I'd been charged $9.99 not $5.99! So I swung back in and told the checker. After looking at it a few minutes said she couldn't do anything and sent me to customer service! I use that term loosely! I've been thru this ballet before and with this same person. Bottom line she said( looking at my photo) it was probably in the wrong place. I suggested that's a problem but not mine. Looking at the price and the product right behind it..$5.99 is the price the customer ( that's me) thinks it is. She ask me to look at it. I pull it out of the sack and she says,I'll have to go back there and look. After literally 5 minutes she comes back and says,yes it's in the wrong place. I ask if it's store policy to give the mismarked price. She avoids the question. I ask to talk to a manager. She pages one. I wait. Lady manager come,says yes, correct that for him. Smiles at me and says thank you. That's the way it should have worked from the start! Sorry for the rant but, hard to believe. Take a look at my photo,you be the judge. I like Kroger. It has almost everything I need! That's a nice surprise. I only wish they had additional cashiers. However, sometimes they will pull you over to the 15 item minimum and that makes me look like a douche. All those folks that appear at the checkout think I was the one that can't read. Me and my 5 ton basket of food. Just don't get mad and shoot me in the parking lot. It's not my fault! Too many folks with really short fuses behind me. This is the absolute best Kroger around! They have one aisle that always has major mark downs on both food and non-food items. The employees are kind and helpful, you can always find a good deal on almost any aisle. Their produce section is well-maintained and well priced. I've never been to a store that has so many great markdowns all over the store. There is a Tom Thumb two minutes from my house and I will never go there again. Such rude grouchy employees and over priced food. Everyone at this store is helpful and has a smile on their face! I'm So happy to have this store in my neighborhood! read more

A 60 year old Indian man was very rude to me and my friend for no reason. When we were going to check out or items we needed help and he treated us like trash for literally no reason. Got my first paycheck and wanted to cash it here. The lady at the desk was rude from the get-go. I gave her the check and my passport and she said I needed a driver's license to do so but on the Kroger's website, it says I could bring in a passport. If she was really telling the truth, then that's fine but when I showed her what the website said, she told me, "I need a driver's license. Don't believe everything you see on the Internet." If I could give this place zero stars I would. Today I had a very unsettling experience here... I bought cupcakes from the bakery, got home and realized just how old and stale these cupcakes were. It was ridiculous and completely inexcusable to have those for sale. I called management and was told I could not bring the cupcakes back until the next day due to the fact that the fresh will not be made until then. So when I think to myself that the cupcakes I got were so old already and that the store left them out another 24hours after me. Completely lazy and inconsiderate for the person consuming. I then felt like I was questioned when returning the cupcakes and almost like they had an attitude with me over their mishap..completely insensitive.. the lady manager was very nunprofessional doing things like storming off without asking me to follow her... not saying your welcome when I said thank you and also pinning the blame on me.... She also explained something very disturbing.... She said that the cupcakes are kept for 5 days and then discounted. So to think I bought cupcakes that could possibly be up to 2 weeks old. I had them less than 48 hours and they had already gone mold!!!!!!!!!!! read more

This used to be a mice store before changing mgmt. restrooms are terrible , low higiene and need maintenace repairs. Disgusting. Self checkout not working. Checkout gave me 100 dollars in 5 dollars bills. Lady at customer support had no time or willingness to help change to 20 dollar bills. Crowded and not as clean as it used to be. Kids supporting self checkout are willing to help but customer desk are pretty bad. Will look for a new place for shopping. Stay away if you have a choice. read more

My 1st stop for groceries is usually Kroger. They have competitive prices, items are always in stock and the location is great. My 4 star rating is is based on employee interaction, it's a rarity when someone addresses you to see if you need help, or when asked questions you aren't met with friendless. The store has always been clean when I've been there, and the lines aren't usually too long. Other than staff concerns, overall I enjoy shopping at Kroger. read more

I went at 6:00pm on Monday, 4-26-21. I have been going to this store since I moved here in 1999. It is absolutely horrendous. This place has gone downhill like a snowball headed for hell. On Monday, there were 2 cashiers. The line for the malfunctioning self checkouts was 12-15 deep, as were the lines for the cashiers. 2 cashiers, 6:00pm, REALLY. No managers around. This location is generally clean and well organized. Always seem to be out of ice which is a hassle when you are in a hurry and expect there to be some. This location does have a Starbucks inside. Disappointed in my bakery purchase for my daughter's birthday. To start when I dropped in to order, well within the posted bakery hours, no one was available to take my order so I left it with a deli order. I ordered 24 chocolate cupcakes and 24 vanilla cupcakes. The day before I called to ask if I could add a dozen more chocolate cupcakes to the order. The lady told me it wouldn't be a problem and repeated my order of now 36 chocolate and 24 vanilla. At pick up the day of the party the extra chocolate were indeed vanilla. Additionally, I had asked for white frosting with rainbow sprinkles. Only two of the 60 cupcakes had a decent amount of sprinkles. This location is in need of better customer service and attention to detail. read more

Wow, I don't understand all the negative reviews. I have shopped at this store several times a month for almost 10 years. I find that for a smaller footprint Kroger they still have everything you need. People are friendly and lines are short to checkout. I believe the meat pricing and value is the best around. Sure you can find cheaper or higher quality but their meat is very good at very good pricing! Deli is excellent too! And I love the sushi guy. He even got my kids liking sushi. Living nearby, my wife and I have been customers of this store for the past 12 years. We don't go there for the "exotic" stuff (we visit Hirsch's Meat Market in Plano for those needs and Fishmonger's in Plano for seafood, for example), but for everyday needs, it fits the bill for the most part. The store is laid out fairly logically, although it is smaller than some Kroger stores, causing there to be holes in their offerings. We end up having to augment our shopping at WalMart for these items. The store is always clean and well organized, and items are usually in stock. We almost always shop late at night, so we're often the only customers in the store. The deli prices are a little high and some of their offerings leave something to be desired in terms of taste, but we don't frequent this area. As for personnel/service, it's always been top notch for us. The staff treat us well and the customer service desk will go the extra mile to help. One persistent gripe is the self checkout lanes; these machines are horrible and require constant interaction by the staff to keep the flow going. Because of these infernal devices alone, the store loses one full star. read more

Okay, what supermarket doesn't sell raw baby back ribs? Are you kidding me?!?! They only had packaged or marinated baby back ribs, which I guess was fine, but we were really in the mood for some raw ribs that we could cook ourselves. The staff didn't seem particularly friendly, which was a shock given everyone was SUPER FRIENDLY in Texas. We ended up going to Marketplace, which was crazy nice. I've been shopping at this location for years. I'm never had any problems with my purchases. This is were I pick up my staples - milk, cereal, beans, etc. From an expense level, I would put them below Tom Thumb and above Walmart. Sprouts is my go-to for vegs/fruits, however Kroger has a good selection and runs good sales on fresh items. Today, a clerk noticed that I needed help. I described the issue and he helped me to solve it. He didn't seem like he was in a hurry to rush me and took time to help me out. Very angry with the young man they have working at the gas pumps. Needed gas this morning, so I stopped at this Kroger's gas pumps. I inputed my Kroger rewards number and then inserted my credit card. A message popped up and said "Error in reader please pay attendant". So I went to the window and the guy they had working was sitting at the window playing on his phone. I stood there for about 30 seconds and he never looked up from his screen. I waved to get his attention and he still never took his eyes off the screen. So I left. I understand people get bored at their jobs but when you have a customer pay attention!! read more

Do not particularly go to the Customer Service (CS) Desk during the late morning and early afternoon hours, during the weekdays. The employee they have working the CS Desk during this time is not a good fit for CS in it of itself. This CS employee is a middle-aged woman with a short and curly perm of light-brown hair. She wears glasses and claims to also wear a hearing aid (I did not see one). This CS employee is not a good fit for CS because she is unprofessional and exhibits a terrible etiquette towards both her colleagues and customers. For lunch today, I went to buy stamps today. The self check-out employee kindly asked the CS employee she needed stamps for me. This CS employee lost it; all her poise went out the window (so to speak). This CS employee became very frustrated and upset with us. She yelled at her colleague that we would both need to wait for stamps, as she had one customer that first needed to be attended to. I intervened and advised her the stamps were already bought and paid for, and we were simply short a few more books owed to me. The CS employee reverted back to a loud and condescending voice as she advised that it did not matter, and we both still needed to wait. At this point, the self check-out employee shook her head and left the CS desk, to avoid any further conflict with this CS Desk employee. As a Kroger shopper for over 15yrs, I have NEVER witnessed a CS Desk employee at Kroger's display this type of behavior. She is a bitter, angry, and short-tempered individual who lacks the necessary skillsets to interact with customers and concerned shoppers. I am shocked with the Kroger leadership at this store, for exercising the judgement in thinking this employee excels to the point of being appointed to the CS Desk itself. This shows a lack in good leadership and judge of character with this store. I will no longer shop at this particular Kroger store. ...which is unfortunate. You've been warned fellow shoppers.....don't go to this store's CS DESK!! read more

I recommend never going to this Kroger! I was rudely Approached by a lady exiting the store she stopped me and told me I could not bring my service dog into her store. When I explained she is a service dog she raised her voice and pointed toward the door and said the dog has to stay in the car. When I asked her if she work here because no one has ever had an issue with me she stomped her foot and said I'm the store manager. She had no ID on her stating that. No one should ever be treated like that no matter race, color of your skin or disability. I feel bad for people who work in that environment. read more

I can usually find most things I want. I wish they had a better selection of organic produce, but I can always go to Market Square or Whole Foods for that. This is my primary grocery store because it has a RedBox. I hardly ever have to wait more than 2-3 minutes for a cashier. They have awesome guacamole made in store and onion buns. read more

This is the grocery store I go to the most. It is cheaper than Tom Thumb but not as cheap as walmart (but better quality). The fruit is good for the most part ( unlock walmart) but occasionally the blueberries and grapes aren't fresh. The store is kept clean and the cashiers are friendly. Went back to aisle and in microscopic unreadable print, there were some words of some sort so that must have been their evidence of disclosure . This is deceitful. I have been a paying customer for quite awhile now. I have two small children who are under 2. I was going to exchange some diapers this morning. First off I could not find anyone at customer service or anywhere near the registers when I did finally find someone she acted like she was too busy to help I asked her if someone is in the customer service area because I had six packages of diapers in my arms and she says with attitude not till 8 its like 7:47 I ask her I just need to exchange some diaper sizes are you able to help me and she says no one will be here until 8. It really unprofessional and frustrating because she seems to not care about the customers and my children need there diapers I wish she would of done something to help me instead of making me feel unwanted I will probably start shopping elsewhere now. read more

This Kroger is in my neighborhood and I shop here often. The employees are friendly and helpful. Since the Covid-19 pandemic I see the employees working hard to stock the shelfs and wiping down the shopping carts and check out counters. I can find most of what I need here without having to go to another store. Recently I ordered a birthday cake for my wife and everyone loved it. I never have any issues returning anything. 1st time at this Kroger, 8pm Saturday night. Came because their Redbox had a movie I wanted. Not sure if the service is always this bad, but I was very unhappy. There was an express lane open, a normal lane with it's "open" light on but no one working at it, and a normal lane with workers but no "open" light. I pointed to the lane with the open light and asked the closed lane's checker and bagger if it was open. The bagger said no. So basically there wasn't a lane I was eligible to check out in. Eventually after being unpleasant and unhelpful, I did check out in the lane with the light out, but it was clear that my shopping there was an inconvenience to the employees that night. Like I said, maybe it isn't always that bad, but I had a terrible visit, and wont return. read more

This Kroger is sick. The employees are nice and helpful, and the store is always clean. I'm not a fruit and veggie connoisseur, so I wouldn't be able to tell you about the quality. The only downside is that the parking lot seems to always be packed, and Allen drivers are ferocious. This store has that nice hometown feeling while still providing a sleek modern design. read more

Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and selection of fresh sushi. There was a guy making sushi in his own little island kitchen by the deli. I frequent many sushi bars in downtown and North Dallas, and this was not bad coming from a grocery store. It was a good quick lunch. read more
