The layout made sense, and it was simple to find everything we were looking for without having to search too much. Ran into the bakery to get some cookies for Valentine's Day to bring to some businesses in the area. Not a good selection. Couldn't find any of the cookies that I thought would've been good enough. I like the longer hours of the Allen, Greenville Ave Kroger. Tonight went shopping for all sorts of kitchen supplies and stuff. I also found all my groceries in the store. The layout was well organized and clearly found with signage font size easy to read. The staff is kind, courteous and smart about where items can be found. They are verrry helpful at the self service check out. Danette was especially helpful to show me how to accomplish the tasks. She even showed me how to save money with providing me a new Kroger Card! I made a special trip to Kroger in Allen, to get some chips. They were completely out of both flavors. One of them was on sale and still not adequately stocked. I had a very nice exchange with the two young men who were checking and sacking. They should get 5 stars. Unfortunately, I decided to stop off at the office and let them know about the two types of chips they were out of. They were polite, but didn't even write it down. The cashier milk was very rude and disrespectful. She turned her back to me and started a conversation with another associate and only acknowledgedisrespectful me after the gentleman bagging my groceries greeted me. I like coming to this Kroger but almost every time I come here with my family we have to bag our own groceries. And today I had a gift card I wanted to use that was on my phone I told the cashier and she called the manager Monica over and I let her know the same thing. It was a e gift card I got from work and had a barcode and everything needed to process the Kroger gift card. And she simply said "no we don't do that" and I asked why and got "because we don't" so you can't just scan this barcode and enter in the gift card information? "No" so what do I need to do in order to make this gift card work? "You need to print it" so you're telling me I can tap to pay with my phone but you can't scan a barcode from my phone for a gift card? "No we can't do that, it needs to be printed." You can't just try? "No" why? "Because we don't do that" Your managers laziness and incompetence to just freaking try to do something for a customer shows how little your employees care about helping customers. Instead I left your store mad because I needed to use that gift card today and instead had to buy my groceries with what little money I had for the rest of the week until I get paid. I enjoy shopping at Kroger. They produce is typically fresh especially at this location. I love that they offer coupons because saving is a must in this economy! Tip: Kroger is less busy at lunch. I've been disappointed with Kroger's produce and pick up orders lately. They're not very reliable, and this produce was especially bad. I'm really surprised that produce manager thought it was OK to leave it out to sell to customers, and that an employee who was helping with the pick up also thought this was OK. It would have been better off, leaving it out of my order completely rather than putting it in our order, and then making us have to return to the store to get a refund. read more

I'm a regular customer here, and I just recently started doing instacart to pull in some extra cash, yesterday while I was looking for a very specific item (instacart is super specific and some things can't substitute another thing), I asked the person stocking produce for help, I was met with the dirtiest look I've ever gotten and this man yelled at me and said "this is the exact same thing". I don't understand exactly what I did to deserve that, but I went on with my day and thanked him instead of reporting him to the manager like I should've, I get it some people hate their job, but don't take it out on the customer. The produce quality was good, but after that encounter the ambiance felt a little weird, thankfully there's more employees than just him. read more

My wife usually only shops at Kroger, but all of the Kroger's in North Texas seem to be out of Rockstar sugar free energy drinks even when on sale all the time. I hope HEB will carry it, because we might have to switch our business to them. Kroger has been doing this for 10 years in North Texas, so I don't see that changing anytime soon. I was in the retail grocery business for 35 years as a DM or Zone Manager and just don't understand Kroger not wanting all the business they can get. read more

Kroger - 1210 N Greenville Ave, Allen, TX This Kroger has the worst customer service, with really poor management. Several times we saw items on sale. with posted signs showing the sale price... but then at check-out it rings up full price. It has happened several times. This last time, the Customer Service desk was closed, and no one else was able to issue a refund. Came back the next day, and the lady said she wasn't authorized to make a refund, I'd have to come back later when the manager was there. Really ? I'm not going to make a third trip to the store just for a few dollars. This is the reason my wife always goes to Marker Street. read more

I placed an order on line and received moldy strawberries and they put alcohol and hydrogen peroxide spay bottles in with food and aspirins. The two bottles leaked all over the box of macaroni and aspirins. I have been so disappointed with service and the quality of food. When I went back to return everything the chubby grey haired lady at the front was rude as can be. Looking forward to shopping at the new H‑E‑B!!!! read more

I really don't know why this Kroger location has gone downhill so badly on the past year. I never find more than one person working in the deli meat area, even when 2-3 people are waiting. The organic produce looks old/withered. They seem to have more out of stock items than other Kroger stores. I'm done shopping here. The other Krogers in Allen are better. read more

Service horrible here. Been in line 25 minutes on Monday morning. 2 registers open. One register also answers the phone. No idea where management is hiding. Call to home office is 15 minute wait. Always liked this Krogers but their grocery pick up needs help. Twice my orders were not all packed in the car. Once I had to go back (70 mins trip) and once the Mgr did bring me the items not packed for me. I hate their bags - Brookshire's has much better packaging plus friendly workers. Today we waited 40 minutes for the groceries. Lots of tings out of stock. And they forgot the water! Not going to call for 2.99 because they will make it a major issue! I'm sticking to Brookshire's from now on. read more

This is the closest grocery store to my house. Haven't had any trouble with buying expired food from this store. Stuff that is expiring soon they'll put a sticker and have it at a clearance price. I always see employees restocking on the weekends and they are friendly and easy to approach. Customer service dept also has no problem returning or exchanging products or even reimbursing for goods that were priced incorrectly. It's also a plus that they have a Starbucks inside that now takes Starbucks reward cards. read more

I've been to this location a couple of times, but it's not my regular store. It's layout is a bit different than I'm used to, but it's been clean and well stocked each time I've been there. They have an extensive ethnic food aisle, well marked by country of origin, In the end, yes, it's still a "mainstream" grocery store, but it's a good experience, which is far from a guarantee these days. read more

This Kroger has a kroger gas station in the parking lot, so once you've gone inside and racked up the fuel points go out and use them before you leave! This is very handy because not all Krogers have this attached. Not much more I can add to the other reviews that hasn't already been said. They have a lot of the great "upgrades" that Kroger has added including the sushi spot, tortilleria, organic section, and a wine/beer section. Although I don't go to this location often because it's near my mom's house, every time I have gone it's been a good experience. read more

I think the redesign of this store was specifically intended to keep people stuck in the store as long as possible. Nothing is where you expect it to be. If you've never been here before, expect to spend extra time hunting for items, because the employees don't know where things are either. I used to spend several hundred dollars a week at this Kroger. Poor service and final straw for me was an items wasn't priced so the cashier set it aside. When he finished ring everything up he asked if I knew the price. I didn't know for sure I said so he put it under the counter. I told him I wanted the item but he said if you don't know the price, an open end question? Seriously, you're stumped with this little problem. You can't call someone or walk over there. The two stars that I'm giving this review go to the employees. They are the best thing about this store. With that said though, that's about it. I shop almost daily at this location and it blows my mind how busy it is at all times I come in and yet there is rarely more than three registers open at even the busiest times leading to ridiculously long check out lanes. I go to other locations nearby that are much slower with more help. This store is so close to my house I don't like to go anywhere else but they really need to schedule some more help to keep up. read more

I'm ready to give up on this store! The redesign has made it so difficult to find anything and makes little sense to me. Why was it done!? My daughter told me if you want to use the digital coupons, they have to be loaded through the app that is connected to you card, otherwise you don't get the lowest price. I was at the store today and remembered that. I tried to load some coupons but there are 745 items that need coupons!! You can search but I didn't have time to stand in the aisle and search each item. I asked the girl at checkout if there was an easier way and she said I should have loaded my coupons at home. That was a big help! Next, I went to customer service and the nicer lady there agreed it was too much trouble. Bottom line, I paid more for not knowing how to jump through all their hoops!! read more

All the staff and Customer service members are friendly and helpful. Staff is always looking to help me find something.. or they ask me if I need help finding something. In the retail industry today it's very hard to find good quality of employees who acknowledge you, Pleasant to speak with & helpful. Which I appreciate. Personally the best Kroger I have been too. Like EVER. It's so clean and well organized. I can always find what I need in this grocery store, nothing is ever out of stock or unavailable. The produce is awesome. Some stores you go to and you have to wade through buckets of fruit to find something edible enough to eat through. The staff is all knowing and completely helpful. I bought a jar of spaghetti sauce and broke it once I got to the parking lot. I came in to tell someone there was glass in the parking lot, they let me replace my jar at no extra cost. I've come in and there has been nothing but positive experiences EACH TIME. read more

WE prefer this location versus the one on Bethany. The layout is much easier to navigate. The "natural/organic" section seems to be better stocked than the other location was well. We usually always find what we want. Granted we don't buy our meat here so I see that some say they have a problem with the quality of meat and we haven't come across this problem. read more

I'm writing about this Kroger because they sell sushi. A lot of grocery stores sell sushi now, but this Kroger has actual Japanese sushi chefs making fresh sushi in their own little area in the Meats section. The sushi is sold in those little plastic carry out boxes. They have dumplings, spicy california rolls, dragon, caterpillar, tuna, shrimp, and salmon rolls. They also have something called Three Hotties, which looked liked some different spicy rolls. There could be more, but those are the ones I saw today. Each box has 9 pieces ranging from $4.99 - about $8.99. Very fairly priced for very decent sushi. I'll definitely go here next time I'm craving some sushi on a budget. read more

Nice, Clean, decent service, sub par selections with the recent Supermarket additions of Whole Foods and Market Street in Allen, This Kroger's really isnt my favorite choice anymore but its still a very clean store that does a great job. At first I liked this pharmacy. But their customer service is gone to pot. I was told I could not wait in the drive-through line even though there was no one behind me at all, because I was using a coupon to get a discount on one of my medications. I explained it I'll be happy to move forward and get back in line again should someone come up behind me, but they said no they do not allow anyone to sit in the drive-through line while they're getting a coupon adjustment. I visit this store weekly because it is the nearest market to my house. It is dim inside and bizarrely arranged compared to other Kroger stores. What prompted this 2-star review, however, was my experience this morning. I walked into the store at 6:30am to pick up a box of donuts for my co-workers. There wasn't a single donut in the bakery. I even checked to see if there were any boxes of donuts for the previous night... Nothing. What market does not have fresh donuts available at 5am, let alone 6:30am? Ridiculous. read more
