Gonna start with the critique, because I really love this restaurant overall. But unfortunately, there are dead roaches in the baby changing table, giving me serious pause about the cleanliness of Krob Krua. Everything looks like it's routinely clean but no one ever opens up the changing table. Really, really disgusting. When I have my hands full, it's a serious hassle to wipe down the table myself. See photo. Other than this, I really love the food here. It's delicious, texturally interesting, and they take pride in their food. They also take pride in their service. I have always had kind service from the hosts and kind interactions with the cooks. I hope they learn to take pride in their cleanliness as well.

This is one of my favorite places to get Thai food. I always get pad se eww anywhere I get Thai food but I have been tempted to get the Thai pizzas because it is unique to this restaurant. I finally tried the veggie Thai pizza that they had this summer and it was so good! I look forward to trying a new pizza special in the future. Service was friendly and the space is very nice!

I had the rare wood fired Thai beef salad, it was amazing! I also had the Apple Manhattan, and it was delicious also. Nice ambiance, with a lot of locals and foot traffic from the street. Great service as well.

The massaman curry at Krob Krua is probably my all time favorite massaman curry, it is a MUST ORDER!! You get a lot of curry for the price too, definitely enough to share or have leftovers. I love the eggplant also, but wish it was a bit more garlicky. Both dishes are great with the purple sticky rice. Service was good, but I wish that you were able to get seated first before ordering.

I swear this place gets better every time I go. It makes me so happy to have this level of quality Thai food, and our town. Quite simply, they are crushing it. We went recently and had yummy cocktails, good wine, and lots of excellent food. I highly recommend the Thai lemonade cocktail. We ordered the coconut shrimp, which normally I wouldn't get, but these were pretty darn good. And these pan fried dumplings that were super crispy and filled with pork and shrimp. We got the crispy rice salad, which was mine blowing delicious. One of the specials of the night that was a crispy duck curry. Outstanding! And a pork and noodle dish that was beautifully seasoned. I've also had their green papaya salad before, and it is a generous portion, and very refreshing The service was excellent, and despite how crowded it was, the noise level was perfectly reasonable. So the acoustics are good. This place is great for takeout.

Off the charts! This food was very delicious! I was excited to get the Sautéed "Garlic Eggplant Basil" dish. I love eggplant when prepared like this. I chose Tofu as my protein and brown rice as the base, and the proportions were very generous as well. Which I was very thrilled about, I wasn't able to eat all of my dinner, but I'm looking forward to lunch tomorrow. I also got their Golden Milk Tea, although it wasn't how I make it at home, it was tasty and had a very nice presentation. I loved the whole ambiance of the place, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. This place is amazing and I can't recommend it enough!

My first visit since they relocated from Wildcraft Brewery. This location is so much bigger and spacious--it definitely has a more upscale vibe compared to the brewery. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I love the new location, it's bright and cheerful. The menu is for the most part the same, but they added a Wood-fired section with Thai inspired pizza. They also have seasonal specialties--my personal favorite is their Duck & Pineapple curry. Also new to the menu (for me) is the alcohol/cocktails selection, as well as mocktails for the non-alcohol drinkers. The food was amazing! The braised lamb shank was falling off the bone delicious and mildly spicy, the chicken wing were so crispy (& still tasty as next day leftovers), the duck was tender and curry really flavorful--good portion of duck, the crab fried rice had chunks of crab and was very tasty. The dessert was a recommendation by our server and it was amazing--baked bananas, a hint of sweetness and the ice cream was so refreshing, bite for bite; reminded me of a bananas foster, but this was much better! Our server was very attentive and checked on us periodically. Our visit was a special evening, celebrating my son's 21st birthday, so he comped us dessert.

4.5/5 (wish they awarded 1/2 stars) The food was delicious, all entrees ordered with medium spiced heat. Would've given 5/5 if the food had more "wok hei" flavor. Nice ambiance. Very friendly staff. Would come back again to try other things on the menu. It looks like they have a lot of special items on rotation.

I went in expecting a quick bite and left wondering if I should cancel my flight and commit to a long-term relationship with their menu. The service was the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit: attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it. You know, the sweet spot most places miss by a mile. The ambiance strikes that rare balance: polished enough to feel like you made a good decision, but relaxed enough that no one's judging you for aggressively enjoying your curry. Now, the portions. Let's just say I arrived hungry and quickly realized I had made a tactical error by also having a flight to catch. The plates are generous. Borderline ambitious. Under different circumstances I would've happily taken half of it home. And the price? Genuinely refreshing. You get high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service without that subtle sting of regret when the bill arrives. It feels almost suspiciously reasonable. I walked in trying to kill time before a flight and walked out wondering if I should start scheduling layovers in Eugene on purpose.

I came here on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. We got seated right away at a booth with a window view. My waitress was an older Asian lady. She was very nice, not too talkative, but she was on top of her things. I was craving soup and decided on the highly recommended tom kha with tofu. To start, we had thai tea, thai coffee and the shrimp triangle. For our entrees, we decided on the pad see eu (they spell it pad se eu here), panang curry. The shrimp triangles were very yummy. Definitely get those. The thai tea and coffee was good, but just a little watered. I expected the taste to last in my mouth for a little bit. But it didn't. For the soup, I was excited to taste the soup! It smelled really good and it was boiling hot. My thought after my first sip of Tom Kha was, ok, this is good, they got it, but it just wasn't quite there. I couldn't pinpoint what was missing. Then I figured out that they didn't use full coconut milk. It was just a little bit and it was the lighter version. How disappointing! I wanted the robust tang, spice and coconut like how I have at home. The entrees made me sad. I really, really wanted to love it. The panang curry should be rich, thick and creamy. Instead it was soupy. I was really expecting and wanting the curry to stick to my rice, but instead it made soupy curry rice. My daughter pointed out that the curry and the tom kha soup was the same color and consistency. I didn't want to believe, but I think they used the same base and added the appropriate toppingss and seasonings to make a soup and a curry. My saddest dish was my last one that came out. It was the pad se eu. The wide rice noodles was wet and in broken pieces. I'm Asian and I'm from Vegas via Hawaii which means we have a lot of Asian cuisines, we know our food and have friends who work in high end Thai restaurants. (Think Lotus of Siam) When rice noodles break into smaller pieces, it means the noodles are probably not fresh and got hard. To soften, the cook used extra water and the heat was not high enough to cook, so it stuck to pan, making the cook mix it around more...broken wet noodles that doesn't brown. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has potential. Maybe it was an off day but on that day I went, it didn't give me the wow I expected. Most of the items has the taste on point. Please don't water down the curry or use lower fat coconut cream. I'm not used to having regular brocolli in thai food either, but I guess this is what Eugene likes or what we can get. And people, share your food! Thai food is family style! Share it! Put it in the middle of the table and let the other person have some! I was people watching around my table and my table was the only one that didn't have our own entree per person. lol

Anyway we ordered through a delivery app on a Thursday evening. We ordered pad se ew with pork, medium spice level, pad kee mao with chicken, medium spice level, the OMG and pot stickers, and a Thai Iced tea. The iced tea was warm, I'm not sure there was ever ice in it, however, that did mean I got more actual drink that I would normally get. The two apps were in open-topped baskets and stacked on top of each other in the bag. Both were bland. The sweet & sour type sauce that came with the OMG really made it edible. Between the two main dishes we ordered, I honestly could not tell which was which. What I believe was supposed to be my kee mao with chicken, might have been beef but even after trying a few pieces I'm not certain it was beef. The other dish didn't look like any kind of pad se ew or kee mao I'd ever seen and the meat might have been pork or chicken, honestly I don't know. Neither dish was even close to spicy or a flavor we enjoyed. I doused the unconfirmed kee mao with sriracha and ate it, because at that point I was pretty hungry and what am I going to do? Call and return it? Unfortunately, this was our first experience with Sweet Basil and probably will be our last.

I'm very fond of orange chicken but when my friend orders her sweet and sour chicken I envy her peppers onions and pineapple. I chose brown and it's not like traditional brown rice...it's much more delicious. It is tasty by itself without any sauce or seasoning. We came mid afternoon and I think we're the only people here. We were the only ones in the dining room with two waitstaff. After we ordered, we hear someone from the kitchen yell, "oh shit!". We never learned why that was said but i can tell you that the dining experience was not pleasant. We started with an order of Spring Rolls, which were okay but extremely cold in the center - maybe they had been made far in advance and left in a very cold refrigerator for too long? Two sauces were served, but failed to provide spoons to use for those rolls - and we had to ask for serving utensils AND napkins. Then the extremely bland Tom Kha soup, served in a large bowl but then failed to provide individual bowls or spoons to eat it (come on servers, have you never eaten soup and know you need spoons and bowls for soup?!). UNtasty Thai Kitchen's take on phad thai was pretty terrible as well. And their larb (which they spell as laarp) was gritty and really unpleasant. We did not eat much of this meal and simply asked for boxes to take home... Upon leaving, I asked their staff if they recently had a change in the kitchen staff and they said no,.it was the same chef. If so,it certainly did not seem as it was a few months prior. You've lost three customers for this was a pretty awful experience. Happy to discuss this further, if you wish to reach out. UPDATE: Talked with their manager, Griffin, and he was very apologetic about the experience and offered either a credit or refund back to my account. HOWEVER, as of 4/14/26, this has YET to be resolved!

I notice that their menu is huge, with a ton of specials. Great for those who want variety every time they come. 5 stars for friendliness and fast service. The guy who works there is as nice as can be. 1 star for salad rolls. It says "fresh vegetables" but the roll had one miniscule piece of tofu (1/2 inch wide?) and the rest is pure lettuce. I think there were a couple mint leaves in there. No carrots, cuke, cilantro, or any other kind of vegetable you can imagine, and barely any tofu. Peanut sauce was delicious and worth adding to the order, as the chili sauce it comes with is ok but syrupy sweet. Adding in the peanut sauce for $2, that came to $10 for lettuce. Inflation is hitting us all hard... restaurants included. But tofu and carrots are not that expensive, right? And if they ran out of ingredients, they should just say so. Yelping about petty things is not a nice thing to do. This review reflects my frustration about a broader pattern that goes beyond this one restaurant (which is why I don't include this in the star rating). Eugene restaurants often do not try to keep up basic standards because there's insufficient competition, and they get away with things that wouldn't fly in a big city. I wish more restaurants, including food trucks, took pride in what they put on the plate.
