Blink once & you'll miss it. This Krispy Kreme location, the first in Vancouver, is a grab & go spot - a tiny donut cafe. Metro Vancouvers very first Krispy Kreme opened up in Delta back in 2004. There is zero seating available here at this cafe style shop. The price point is good in comparison to other dounteries. Ok so having had KK donuts over the past decade plus, I can say I've had that Krispy Kreme experience. I've enjoyed the KK donuts, but only really have one favourite here - the Ice Glazed (chocolate) donut. The Original Donut is nice too, but only when it's warmed up. This area is super busy, so come prepared for the crowds going to restaurants, banks, cafes, pizzerias, the subway, etcetera. This Four Corners high street area at Broadway & Cambie St has a lot going on here. No street parking available on West Broadway, so you'll have to walk up to get your donuts. I hate to compare but I feel I have to - my favourite donut shops in Vancouver right now - Mello & Lucky's Donuts. KK donuts are an acquired taste aka lots of sugar. Try them - you'll see what I mean. I have enjoyed the coffee here, when I've had it. A donut a day ...

krispy kreme's west broadway location makes a strong first impression by being exactly what it promises: fast, simple, and efficient. i stopped by around 12:30 pm on a friday to pick up a dozen doughnuts before heading out to visit relatives on boxing day, and the experience couldn't have been easier. there was no long lineup at all. just one indecisive couple ahead of me, quietly debating their choices while i mentally committed to a dozen classic glazed. a few people filtered in after me, but the space never felt crowded, and the line moved quickly once orders were placed. the shop itself is compact, clean, and functional, clearly designed for take and go. there's no seating and no encouragement or reason to linger. a glass display case runs along the front, showing neat rows of doughnuts like original glazed, chocolate iced, sprinkles, cookies and kreme, apple fritters, and a handful of seasonal designs, all clearly labeled. behind the counter, tall rolling racks filled with trays of doughnuts are ready to replenish the case, while stacks of red krispy kreme boxes line the back wall. overhead digital menu boards keep the ordering process smooth and efficient. service was quick and efficient, with staff clearly used to keeping things moving. ordering was straightforward (if you know what you want) and within minutes my box was ready. twelve classic glazed doughnuts, evenly sized and neatly lined up, each coated in a smooth, glossy glaze that caught the light without looking messy. they weren't warm, but they tasted fresh, soft, and airy, with that signature krispy kreme lightness. the glaze had fully set, cracking gently when bitten into rather than sticking to your fingers. these are unapologetically sweet doughnuts that deliver exactly what you expect. the doughnuts aren't made on site and are delivered twice daily, so this location feels more like a distribution hub than a production shop. still, the quality holds up well, making it an ideal stop when you need doughnuts quickly and don't want to overthink it. the finishing touch was a super cute snoopy holiday box from the peanuts christmas collection, which added a whole lot of charm and nostalgia and felt perfectly fitting for a boxing day visit with family. overall, the west broadway krispy kreme does exactly what it sets out to do: provide reliably fresh, very sweet doughnuts with fast service in a no fuss environment that makes it easy to get in, get out, and head on to the next stop.

Also, go early so that you have more bun options - they do sell out of certain flavors the later it gets. Luckily we were still able to get the two that we wanted which were black sesame and a custard buns. They were not only super cute, but they were really delicious as well. The fillings were very strong in flavor and did not disappoint. There was enough searing when I went. Next time I will have to try their coconut drinks and desserts!

So technically this was dessert #3 over the course of not even an hour. The good thing is that this was not an overwhelmingly sweet or heavy dessert. It really went down with the same ease as just a regular mango would have, but it just had some extra (mostly natural) stuff. I'd happily enjoy this deliciousness on a regular basis if I lived in Vancouver. There were a ton of menu items that looked appealing, so I'm might even be their best customer.

As I love desserts, I was so excited to see Chinatown and visit this place for the first time. This place was located in an area that would be best to walk with a friend or a small group- I was not quite prepared to see and experience what was going on all around. Finally, we made it there and were glad to order some doughnuts. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the sweet smell of doughnuts and the two friendly staff. Everything looked so good, so narrowing down our pick was very hard! At the end, we ordered two flavours- Matcha and Tiramisu. The matcha doughnut was soft and the filling was light yet full of matcha flavour that one would expect, I loved every bite! My friend had the tiramisu doughnut and she said that she enjoyed the fluffy texture of the dough and the creamy filling- it felt like eating tiramisu in a doughnut form. If you love simple yet high quality ingredients, this place is the perfect place to get your sweet cravings fixed!

I could see some people balking at the $6 price, but I consider these a special treat. The location itself leaves something to be desired since it feels like it is under construction except for the pastry counter. No furniture and the floors look unfinished. Definitely not a place to hang out. Brendan's Rating: 3.0 Charlotte's Rating: 3.0 Shanying's Rating: 3.0 Winston's Rating: 4.0

I'm from the Bay Area and we have our fair share of Japanese grocery stores (shout out to Niiya in Japantown in San Francisco) but I was very excited to see the selection here. Definitely came across items I've never seen before like a Takoyaki flavored Ramune. It was extremely discounted just fyi probably for good reason. They even had Japanese canned drinks stored hot like in Japan! The take away Japanese desserts also looked good. This place is right on Robson street so a great place to grab a snack, drink, pick me up while shopping. Prices seemed reasonable. One caveat is that it can get busy in here and the aisles are small so it felt a little crowded but that's sort of like Japan as well lol so not a big deal for me. Added to the ambience. Checkout was quick and easy!

It sounds crowded - and it is - but once you push your way to the back of the store, you'll find a tiny Japan tour travel agency and a shelf of clearance items at rock-bottom prices. Service is cheerful, personable and brisk. The store also houses a takeaway crepe and ice cream shop - the crepes are actually better than the ones I've had in Tokyo.
