Good coffee and donuts! Their strawberry cream and cereal milk are really good! They usually run out so better to go in the morning

Usually for last few years I've been ordering from Esther at Dipnsip & Unni Pastries. I was…read morereferred at my friend's wedding as I was looking for cakes and pastries for in-laws. Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency!

Tasty local Korean doughnut chain. This location is located close to the water, just W of Horseshoe…read moreBay Park. According to the website, this chain is named after the owner's golden retriever. It sure looks happy. Parking is available in front of the building, as well as along various village side streets. The inside is nice and modern. Funky looking speaker system (it's functional) in the corner. Great view of the water. There are also a couple of outdoor tables to the E of the building. Staff are friendly and cheerful. No complaints. The doughnuts are a bit pricey but they sure are delicious. I really like "Asian" style doughnuts as they are less sweet than their western counterparts. I had the matcha cream and could definitely taste the matcha. Will be trying their other locations at some point. Recommended.

Half way through our cold coffees I wished we had sat at a table instead. Here's some honesty... We were in the mood for a great cup of coffee with some sweets on a nice Fall day in beautiful Horseshoe Bay. Not only did it not hit the spot, but we couldn't have gotten out of there quicker. Very Disappointing. The Golden Retriever Logo was cute though.

Insane Venezuelan Dulce de Leche Lattes…read more Starbucks Caramel Lattes can go take a walk. * * * Chocolate donuts with strawberry icing with massive huge strawberry taste in the icing. The only good frosted donut I have ever eaten with complete wonderment. (Actually, I have not had that many good donuts in over 72 years of donut eating. I am not sure how cops on break tolerate the average American or Canadian donut. But thank god, they eat them so I don't have to.) But I would eat donuts all day and all night at 49th Parallel. What a place!

Brownie points for convenience. My husband ordered a double espresso and in true men's fashion claimed it to be "solid". I ordered the maple sea salt shaken espresso and it was *chefs kiss*. If you are a sweet and salty lover, get it! It won't disappoint you. We also ordered the Doug sandwich and the Avo sandwich. Don't let the looks fool you as the sandwiches' appearances fall kind of short. However, both sandwiches were delicious. Starbucks could never. ‍ The Doug Sandwich - a full bodied sandwich consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions and tarragon aioli. I thought this sandwich would be too heavy, but the brioche bun is light and the scrambled eggs are really fluffy. The Avo Sandwich - a lighter sandwich featuring fried egg, avocado, cheddar cheese, sun dried tomato pesto, tarragon aioli and mixed greens. Also a good choice! The cafe was clean and they have a water dispenser available for customers. Service was ok, but I think they were just a bit busy.
